Former baseball player and manager
Connie Mack was a Hall of Fame baseball player and manager. He played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Philadelphia Phillies from 1894 to 1910 and managed the Athletics from 1901 to 1950. Mack is widely regarded as one of the greatest managers in baseball history, leading the Athletics to five World Series championships. He was also a pioneer in the use of the pitching rubber and was known for his innovative strategies on the field. Mack was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937.
