Peruvian archaeologist and historian
Juan Carlos Castrovilla is a Peruvian archaeologist and historian specializing in the study of ancient civilizations in South America. He has published numerous papers on the subject and has worked on several excavations in Peru. Castrovilla is also a professor at the National University of San Marcos in Lima. He is known for his expertise on the Nazca culture and the ancient city of Cahuachi. Castrovilla has also worked on several documentaries and has given lectures on his research at universities and museums around the world. He is a member of the Peruvian Academy of History and has received several awards for his contributions to the field of archaeology.
