The final UC 31 Kansas State 26 in a thriller to quote Dan Horde, the voice of the Bearcats, the magic of Nip at night continues. UC improves to 4 and 0 for the first time in the Scott Satterfield era that began in 2023. Kansas State falls to 3 and 1 under first year head coach Colin Klein. UC fell behind 10 to nothing, caught K state 10 all with a TD in a field goal only to trail at the half 17 to 10. Like the Bearcats then erupted for 21 second half points, built a 31 to 20 advantage with 328 to go and then held on for dear life. UC sent a message about its running game.

4:58Somebody stop us. The Bearcats rushed for 271 of their total 436 yards and saw their top two tail backs reached the 100 yard plateau. Coltab rushed 11 times for 124 yards and 11.3 average and scored all three of UC second half TDs on runs of 5, 30 and 14 yards. To a brand pain rushed 16 times for 126 punishing yards, 7.9 per clip. There were so many turning points in this game and one came early in the third quarter. When UC's Antoine Peak forced a K state fumble on the wild cats opening drive the second half and with the ball at the Bearcats 45 yard line quarterback JC French hooked up with Lorenzo Fener for a 32 yard gain and Coltab finished the drive with a five yard dash around

And then Malachai Henry who got UC on the scoreboard with a 39 yard touchdown reception from French in the second quarter returned upon 36 yards and Coltab again finished that drive with a 30 yard burst for a 24 to 17 UC lead at the 726 mark of the third quarter. If you see could have one play back in this game, it came at the 232 mark of the third quarter. JC French had just found JV Gibson over the middle for a 64 yard gain to the K state 17 with that 24 to 17 lead. And that's when Zion Johnson entered the game and promptly fumbled the ball away.
