Saints have a tricky injury report this week. They have a lot of stuff to try to figure out. On Monday night might take some creativity to make sure that they're getting what they need to get out of their roster this week against a team with a lot of weapons on offense. And that's coming off a really good performance on Thursday night football. We're going to keep talking about that on today's show. Welcome back to the Orleans dot football presented by loft 18. They have four locations. Metery Manavale Baton Rouge and Bruce art 30 TVs at all of them local teams playing head up there this weekend watch your favorite teams and be there on Monday night for the game. Huge game this week. Don't coming. A lot to talk about with that. If you're listening to the show, you should be doing it in a car that you bought from my got my power is best car. You learn the whole entire world. I'll get you the best car, the best customer care, the best prices. And I will get you in and out of there in the car. Your dreams talking about an wife sent you and they will take care of you. And of course we're coming to you from the Oshner injury sports medicine institute podcast studio.

All right. So first things first, the Saints have some real injury issues. And we kicked us off presented by PJs because we start every single day with PJs. First things first on that. The injury report and I'm recording this before Saturday's practice. So this is subject to change and Saturday at a Monday's actually feels like quite a bit of time. So there's time for things to shift to change to evolve devolve whatever. So somebody being out all three. Maybe there's still a chance that they they could play on Monday. Like that is a night game too. Like there is extended amount of time here still, but did not participate. Kaden Ellis saw him around saw him out there riding the bike. It doesn't look good. It doesn't look good as of right now. But maybe that changes a huge situation to monitor. Carl Graderson not practice and saw him walking around not not booted up or anything. Not good though.

Anthony Jennings have not laid eyes on him out with a knee massive, massive guy to watch in the run game. Beijon Robinson's coming to town. You want all your guys there. That could create a challenge. Christian Miller limited. That's a good thing. He's been limited all week. Julian Blackman started out limited came back to full. Barry and Brown is limited. Sounds like he's probably going to be playing. So that's a good thing. Though a fan limited. He should be okay. Um, P one or DMP DMP. I'm going to bet Pete plays coming back from that stinger. He's been around out of practice uniform on. He looks to close us out of all of them. Mike. I feel like he has a chance regardless of what happens in the Saturday practice. Think there's odds that he could play, but we'll see. But major injuries all the way across the board on that side. A lot of stuff to figure out. And it's a big problem, I think. I really do. Um, I believe in Brandon Staley's ability to coach around a problem.

But I think he has a very sound plan to get around this one. So much of what they've been doing in the run game is when built on those linebackers blitzing and time and stuff. They get under center. Like they're just kind of going at this point. You got one of them coming like the hold up the the center. The other ones just bustin through. Did a great job of that against Baltimore. Didn't have that weapon is much last week after Ellis left the game. After I'm sorry, after after Warner left the game. But like I think I think there's stuff to, to to try to overcome. And I don't even know who would play in Kaden knows his place, probably Danny Stotsman. If they both don't go, I don't know who the duo would be. Would it be Chris Rump? Would it be Isaiah Stahlbird? Would it be Jackson Sermon? I don't know what they're going to do there. And they also have problems on the edge. Like Grandel and the Amperene jettings might not play. So that means Tyree Wilson's up and then maybe you're going to a Fadil Diggs or they brought another hedge guy this week. Maybe he could be in the mix. There's a lot of piecing together in that front seven that might be taking place.

And we've set all year like man those those injuries are the one thing you don't want to find out about. And they all just struck it once like it's very unfortunate. And this is kind of a must win game for this team. But they got to find a way like his week four of the season. You don't want to lose this. If you do it's not look, you can win the next two and be three and three going to Paris like by no means is anything decided right now. Minnesota is a very winnable game. But I'd rather have the flexibility of feeling like I could drop on the Minnesota and pick it back up against New York. Flores is a monster. But there's a lot to figure out up against a really really good team. We continue this presented by 10k thursday or the official thursday or of New Orleans dot football. I mean the Falcons got some guys man Drake lineup versus cool lead like that. That's a big match up the watch. I don't think Jake Matthews is going to be able to look. This guy here. This guy here has his played well against everybody chase young's played well against a bunch of great

offensive tackles and his look great. Jake Matthews. He FF scored doesn't look great right now. We know who he is. Chris Lentstrom also elite. We know who he is. They got to pretty solid offensive line overall. And you know these these guys are going to have to find a way to get there. Carl Miter might not be in there. If he's not in there, I mean, that's going to be cam. I think cam would move up to that that edge one spot. Tari Wilson will be behind him probably. Tari was actually an active last week. So you know a lot of stuff there to kind of figure out. I like Zachariah branch. We know who he is. It hasn't done a lot this season, but obviously, you know, I got I got that that shows some stuff in college. Interesting to watch. Michael Panics at that play great on Thursday night. We'll see what he can keep going. He makes some kind of interesting, but really it's all about be John and be John's going to be here. He's going to be here. He's going to be split out over here. They're going to they're going to get

him everywhere that that he can go. And I mean, I think that this is the guy that like you just got to have eyes on him the whole entire time. And that's really what the whole thing is about. Like you got to know where he's at every single time you got to call him out. You know, Brock powers kind of did the like get everywhere type of thing last week. And they didn't do a great job of that. He's going to do that. Similarly, you got to have a plan for him. You got to watch him. You got to know, I mean, that's where the whole thing runs through. Pits obviously. He's like a wide receiver out there. He can do just about anything. I'm very excited to see this matchup. Drake London versus Kool-Aid McKinsey Kool-Aid sounded like he was up for it. Asked him about it today. Then he's like, man, I got I got gears for everything. I'm always geared up. Every snap for me is life or death. Absolutely a fire fire line to drop. But yeah, there's there's a lot of stuff to try to figure out in in this game. I mean, there there really is.

There really is. And they got to try to figure out, you know, how to stop all these guys. Like there's a lot going on on their offense. And they got a lot of weapons. Let's see if we can get this flipped around and get the Saints offense up on the screen where they are listed right there. There we go. I disappear, but who cares? There we going back. All right. So a lot of stuff here. Like, look, I think you got to find a way to help awesome Richards in this game. Like, that was something they didn't do well enough last week. And they have to figure out how to do that this week. And then AK obviously, I think we'll end up being RB one. RB two will be Kendrae. They split them. So it's kind of, you know, whatever with the both of them, you know, Joanne's been playing great. They are without AJ Tarell. So they've lost the guy there. They don't have a ton of guys like, you know, household name,

brand names on their D line, but they did a great job getting after, after a last week on Thursday night. So, you know, you got to protect well, you got to have all that working together. This whole line has to be way better. And they got to run the ball significantly better. Major, major issues with that last week. They've started to figure it out last week. They started to figure it out. I said that we're last week. They started to figure it out. And if H and hadn't gone out of that game, I think it would have probably kept up. They figured out some, some draws here with AK. That was really good to see. But there's a lot for them to get settled. And I think you have to figure out how to settle that. And that is something that, that is something that that they got to, that they got a hammer out here. Let's take a quick break and keep talking about that. Welcome to loft 18. There's a ton of great things about living in New Orleans, but one of the worst things about living in New Orleans is the soaring insurance cost, whether it's your house, your flood, your car. Somebody's always trying to get in your pocket. Somebody's always trying to raise prices. That's why you need a partner like shop air and currency, air heart agency to have your back. Every six months I get a call from them, hey, look, your car insurance is going up. This is what we can do to lower it. Do you want to do it? Yeah, of course, I want to do it. Same thing. When my

home insurance comes up, hey, do you want to bring this price down? Yes, I want to bring my price down. They're watching it. So I don't have to. Somebody's trying to get deeper in my pockets. They're stopping people from getting deeper into my pockets. You need people like that because it means money in your pockets. So do business with shop air and currency air heart agency. Make sure you're looking for the air heart agency branch. That's the one we use. They look out for me. I use them long before they ever advertised on this podcast. They save me money. Welcome back to Nurell and stop football. We continue this conversation presented by Aaron Rose. Yeah, the Saints have a huge issue to settle this week. And I think I think it's all about the run game. Him and Kendrae. They have to figure out how to get these two guys going. I think it's paramount for Kendrae. Let's start there. No one is hyped to sky more than me. I've been hyping them for years. I think he's one of their most talented runners. I think his ability with the ball in his hands is second to none. And I think that he has the ability on a snap to snap basis to run as well as damn there

this side of, you know, whoever, but like the rest of the pack, he should be up there. Like he has the talent. He has the ability. We've all seen it. He gets in these these outside zone runs and you give him a crease. He hits that crease. But he makes too many mistakes. Like this is this is I feel like to do or die moment for him. I feel like he has an opportunity here over the next four weeks to set up the rest of his career. Stay healthy. Stay upright. Hold the ball. Do what you do. And you get money. You get jobs. You keep at where you're supposed to be at. But if you don't do that, it's just kind of like you've had a bunch of opportunities and didn't didn't take advantage of them. And I feel like his future earnings and all that are tied to this for me. I think this is the most critical four game stretch of Kendrick Miller's career. I don't think that's overstating things. AK. Everybody's been talking. They play with the money. You got to job. It's yours right now. Go show them. Like we know what AK can do.

These guys block. Look, an AK have burst last week. Like I don't you're hating if you're if you deny it. Like you really are. He showed burst last week. He didn't run great in game two, though. Like no doubt about it. He didn't have a lot of space. They were running them in the seven man boxes. This team right now. 30 second in the NFL averaging 2.2 yards per carry against seven man boxes. Get him against some six man boxes. Like don't run him into seven. Don't bring fan in here. And then just try to ram him. You know, that isn't that isn't his game. Play to his game. Play to his game. Six man's like spread it out. Let him run. Let get the outside zone going. You know, that's his game. That's his game. Spread him out. Let him go. Like you can do all that. If you're running seven, have five do it. But man, like get him some space. I promise you, he can get you some yards. It just has to be functional. Like Tyler Shock right now is on pace to

lead the NFL and passing attempts. And I don't think that's where you want to exist. You don't not just lead the league. Lead the league like all time. That isn't where you want to exist. You got to you got to establish a run game. You got to get some of that going. You got to take some of it off. They've been grading the red zone. They've scored on eight of 11 trips down there. Things have looked good in a lot of areas. But the run game is not solved. The starter games is not solved. Those are things that they have to figure out. And then you know, my other thing in this game that they they I believe is paramount for them to figure out. This is presented by Bobby Abers, Cajun Cannon restaurant. Man, they got to they got to play a 60 minute game. That has to go for 60 minutes. Start to finish. Get a lead. Go offensively more than anything. Because your defense is depleted now. So you are looking to six. You are looking to 12. You are looking to 83. You have to get it. You do you you got to get it this week. Like it has to be start to finish 60

minutes. I say our only chance of being able to win this game. Hugely massively important. Because I like I just I don't think that they have the guys on defense to hold it. And look, maybe they do. Maybe Stanley has the master plan. And I don't doubt him at all. But they got it. Like just I feel like this offense has the ability to score 30 every single week. If they play the whole entire game. Like that's how much firepower there is without a run game. Like I think their passing game is that good with Chris with with with shock with jawon. Jordan Tyson still on the shelf. But if they play the full 60. I think they have a chance to win this game. I think they can do it. I think they have a shot at it. But they really do have to go all the way through it and just kind of play that start to finish game. Those are those are my biggest keys to victory this week. It isn't you know, super deep. Like I think this is a must one game. They got to find a way to finish it. I think Tyler has to play to his

ability. I think it's really important to for for just the health of this team. And we're going to keep talking about that when we come right back right after this quick word. Guess what Louisiana? Welcome back to the Orleans top football does now time for the get Gordon question of the day presented by Gordon McCurnen injury attorneys if you need help make sure you get Gordon. So is it a must win game? I'm going to I'm going to go through this and I'm going to end on the soap box and I'm going to say yes it is. And I think for many reasons I think the team can recover from it. I think you can lose this game and still be three and three you could lose this game. You can lose the Vikings and you can still be at a point where you're 500 when you get to the other side of of Cleveland. I think Cleveland's a much better team than we expected. They still look beatable. I think Pittsburgh's a much better team than we expected their defense especially looks beatable. But they're both tough games like Aaron Rogers is playing well.

Who man? I'm glad things then work out different. You just watching watching the commentary on everything. Man, football would be so unenjoyable right now if things have played out differently. So thank you for the things that don't happen. The alternate reality. I don't think anyone want to be sitting on three on one like that. It's just it's conflicting as you watch it. And I'm glad we don't have to contemplate that level of morality with every snap that the quarterback touches. Not everyone's a perfect person but like boy that's that's an honor that you can't you know you can ignore that and that'd be I'm just glad the Saints did not land the shaman's like just straight up very very thankful for that. But they look better. Pittsburgh looks better. Both winnable but like you know there's a couple of little degrees of difficulty up on about those games from I think what was expected a couple of weeks ago and you know maybe

maybe they look vulnerable after a couple more and people there's more tape on them but as of right now a little bit tougher. But yeah, I think it's a much one game. And I think we've lived through the bad times here. We've been stuck in them for five years. And people are cool right now. Everyone's optimistic still I think mostly optimistic. Some people have been getting to me like oh you're too optimistic. Look they could win one game this year and if six looks like the answer I'm gonna remain optimistic because like that's the hardest part of this thing to figure out. But yeah, they got to win games. They got to win more than seven. Like I don't think you can be at the same point or below and feel good about where things are at. But I think things are going to start getting restless if they lose this game to this opponent with this build up with these expectations. And you know I just think it's a better healthier environment if people aren't finding out you know if this team doesn't have to find out how restless things are here because we're going to be reminded on Monday night what football means to this city. And it means a lot to

31 other cities. And look there's certain cities that are extremely bottomed but there's that there's something different about the relationship between team and city city and team here. Like this team belongs to this city in a way that it doesn't other places it's family business. You might you know other places I think you feel way more disconnected from the team than you do here. And it's just it's because of of rebirth. It's because of everything that everybody's been through here. There's there's a bond and there's a there's a trauma bond and then there's optimism and hope and all that stuff is wrapped up in this team. And I think on Monday night the stakes are a little bit higher. They be however regardless. I think if you lose that one though there's going to be a level of disappointment associated with it that I think that it starts to get noisy. And then people start to feel it and there's there's just an ebb and a flow to this thing that I just think will be better if it doesn't touch this team. And I think it could after

this this game. I don't think it would threaten the locker room. I don't think it would threaten the coach. I don't think it threatens the season. But everything's just way easier if they win this game. Like there's there's a level of disappointment. There's a level of discontentment. There's a level of noise. A level of criticism. All that stuff I think can just stay at bay and it becomes a challenge you don't have to deal with if you take care of business and this team all of a sudden has expectations not outside but inside. I'm telling you these guys expect to win games. They think they're good enough. They think they have the players. I think they're good enough. I think they have the players. Yeah, they're one in they're they got one win. They they've they've lost too. I think we probably expected something about that at this point. Maybe not the way it came together. They should have beat the freaking Raiders. Like that was a win-able game. They should have beat the Lions. That was a win-able game. They didn't handle business. They didn't play 60 minutes. They should win. Like they're going to be short some guys. I think you know, I think that's a

problem too. I think it's going to be hard. But they should win the game. They should find the way to do it because I think they have the firepower on offense. Like you just got to go all the way through and do it. And again, like I think there's a level of patience right now that exists because people feel good about the quarterback because they they're hopeful about him. And I don't think anything could happen really to change that especially not in this game. Like I think we know like we've seen enough. I think Tyler could have his stinker and people people would still be on a side. I guess you could argue last week kind of was with the turnovers. Not really all together his fault when I watch it back. But I just we know we've been here. We live through I don't got to explain to you guys like we all live through those hard times and when it turns it turns fast. Like and then if you you know, then you got Minnesota next week. That's a tough game. Like it's just not a position you want to be in. They should be winning these games. I think they got to

handle business on Monday night. I think they got to just bring hope back. They got to keep it there. They got to they got to keep it in place. So yeah, I think it is a must win. I think it's a must win game for the steam. I can't wait to see it. I'm excited. Always excited to find out more about the team. They got a rally back though. I think it's I think it's highly important. Let's get for today's show. Enjoy Saturday football. Enjoy Sunday. Show on Monday. We'll be back talking Monday night. I'll probably do another show at some point between now and then because I just got a gap. I got thoughts. Be on the Netherlands. That football for all our coverage. I appreciate let's see what Monday has in store.
