Well, what's going on, everyone? Jettacamera and John Rich, it is 94WIP. Great to be with y'all for rolling on this Tuesday morning, what we got a 2-0 birds team. We also got no Zach Erts for a stretch. Well, we got, excuse me, I meant so we got no Dallas got our first stretch, but we've got Zach Erts and he is back. And we'll certainly talk a lot about that today. Now, the fills are also back tonight. After an off day yesterday, stretch run, aggravation in the air. Hopefully they can pull it together to get into that four or five match-up for the baseball playoffs, which start next week. Look, we'll talk about all of it with you at 2-1-5-592, 94-94, Richard Rich, good morning. Hello, Joe. Hello there, Johnny.

The Post Office Department on June 8th, 1959, tested firing mail out of a submarine to deliver it. And that's because it was a cruise missile to deliver mail and experiment. And they loaded 3,000 letters into a modified, regular one cruise missile. They launched it and directed it at a naval station in Florida. It traveled 22 minutes and landed with the 3,000 letters and cards and everything else completely intact. But it was the height of the Cold War and the US government decided to use their missiles and try to keep their expensive missiles by the way. Keep them for other reasons. I would imagine. So the experiment didn't really amount to much. Yeah, now that makes sense. That makes sense. Hello boys and girls. Hope you're having a good start to your Tuesday morning. Celts are how was Tennessee? Oh my goodness, dude. That city is wild.

Just a party. Every bar you go into, there's music playing and there were Eagles fans everywhere. It was. That's right. Eagles chance. Flagels fly and every bar was at like, I saw one Titans fan before the game in Titanscare. One, that was a literally literally literally. Ellie and I joked about it. One day, you said you for the game. But I'm saying in Nashville. The week. I'm saying during the weekend, the whole weekend prior to the game. They were at the game. It was probably like 75, 25, 80, 20 in the game. Yeah. But in Nashville itself, it was a full on Eagles takeover. It was amazing. That's wild. Really. Yes. Well, look, we'll find out more from James. Obviously, as we embark on the show, we'll get into the fills as well. Stretch. I mean, is it? This is as far as regular season six games. So they better fricking get their heads out of their asses. Because otherwise, they're going to play the Atlanta brace in the first show. It doesn't mean definitively doomsday, but it does mean more trouble than playing the podgers or cups and it takes me also. We'll get into that. Ruben with this at seven o'clock today.

A lot of them are fills, but mostly on the Eagles. So two games, two wins and two wins. And I think most of us would agree would not have happened without Jalen Hertz or a or a quarterback of that comparable nature, meaning, meaning most NFL starting quarterbacks with how jail and has played thus far. It would be either o and two or one and one guys today. Let's have a conversation and it's going to be any evolving conversation all season at two one five five nine two ninety four ninety four on where we stand on Jalen. And I want to be very clear out of the gate. I am most interested of course today to hear from those who have been the doubters as I have been. Because I'm curious where you stand now. Now of course, for those that haven't doubted cool, come to the table also, but amongst the doubters, I'm curious now two games in how you recalibrate. And I'll tell you how I recalibrate. I was just about to spit it out. I was here. Yes, I would love to hear. I got I got I got four hours today. We'll get to it, but but talk to us at two one five five nine two ninety four ninety four.

So let me tell you where I'm at. I've been incredibly impressed with what Jalen has done so far this year. He's playing better. He's taking in the new offense. And again, as I said, I think it's fair to say most NFL quarterbacks would not be to go and know at this point, you know, my homestypes sure. But most quarterbacks with what has gone wrong. Take one barely play game two. God or God injured. A line stunk both games. Defense has been less than expected, not horrendous, but less than expected. There's less talent around and then there used to be there's the difficulty of a new offense, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. The reality is a lot has gone wrong. And I've said for years now, boy, it wouldn't be interesting to see what happens if less than rounds down. Well, what we know thus far this season is they are two and a because he has lifted them up through those two games. So I am again, the repeat incredibly impressed. Now, look, we'll take your reaction to one five five nine two ninety four ninety four.

So in the big picture, let me tell you where I settle, not moved yet on a declaration for definitive for remainder of, you know, decade. I told you, I thought this is a crucial year as most of us thought for what would be, you know, does he get the new contract or not? And I'm not going to declare yet. I told you before this season and I will stick with this that I'll give you my declaration for his future. As I say it, either after this season or hopefully sooner, if I am flat out certain that it should be one way or the other, one way, keep them, one way, get rid of them. I said, I will tell you when I feel I know and I'm not going to tell you that after two weeks because I'm candidly telling you I don't know what I will certainly say is this. I've been incredibly impressed and I am certain that if he continues to play like this or near this, you don't have to play this good every week.

But if he plays like this or near this, I will tell you at a certain point, I don't know halfway through the year, certainly by the end of the year, hey, sign me up to sign him up for a long, long time. That's where I'm at two weeks in. I'm surprised. I'm incredibly encouraged and I'm curious where you stand again, especially amongst the doubters because I think that's the most interesting segment of the society. It's listening right now that creates a fascinating conversation today for those that have doubt it at 215-5929494. No, it's only two weeks, not 20, but two weeks in. What do you think and talk to us? John, what are you thinking here, man? I think everyone should believe in Jalen Hertz and I felt that way for a long time. You have thought that way for a long time. Yep. His skill set is exactly what I want. It's toughness. It's work ethic. It's arm and legs.

You put all that together. This guy is the perfect recipe for the leader that this team or any team, for that matter, needs. He's a great leader. He's so motivated to work. I'm not saying he's always been a great leader. I'm not saying he's always been a great quarterback. I think he continues to grow and we can see that. Again, back to this idea. A leader who is tougher than the rest. That is such a huge advantage. That's one of these traits that it's one and a million type thing. A guy who is willing to just keep his head down and work and not even admit to pain or injury or frustration. I am stunned by the way people underestimate his continually, underestimate what this guy

can do because he doesn't limit himself. This team is certainly not going to limit him, except when half the offense is hurt like it was on Sunday. His skill set strikes fear into defenses. They can't do anything right. If they take away one aspect like we saw with the Titans on Sunday, Jaylin can beat you with the other aspect. If they focus on the ground game, he'll beat you through the air. If they focus on taking it away through the air, he'll beat you with the ground game. Maybe himself, but fortunately we have a great stable of backs who hopefully will have holes opened for them. They've had almost no running game in. That is an issue. That is an important thing. That could be a limiting factor for Jaylin this season. It was just for the team. The past protection. Yeah, for the team for Jaylin. His past protection is, I mean, leaves a lot to be desired right now.

That needs to pick up. That needs to be so much better. The run game blocking, it's just not good enough either. I know this is something that they'll work on. Again, I love the arm. We talk about the accuracy downfield we saw. With this season, I do think we're seeing an increased ability to locate the ball perfectly, give his receivers the best chance to catch it and get up field with it. I think about the touchdown, the game winning touchdown to Darius Cooper. That thing was feathered in there. That was a soft touch pass that man, that's so nice as a receiver catching a ball like that as compared to a lot of these guys. I mean, Josh Allen has a bazooka of an arm, but he throws it like he's tried to knock you over when you're five yards away as a back. Well, I thought we saw that from the quarterback on the other team. If you remember, Tennessee scored a touchdown on the first drive, but they almost didn't,

because on one totally open opportunity to do it. Who's the quarterback? Yeah, Kim were fired the ball behind the receiver. And it was first of all those laser fastball. Yes. And it was behind him. It's like, well, that's dumb. I got to do it. I'm telling you, some of the biggest improvements in a quarterback come from things that we never talk about. We never even think about the shape of throws. Jaylen's throw shape is continuing to evolve. Like make it as easy as possible for your receiver to catch it, but as hard as possible for the defense to know where you're throwing it for them to catch it. You know, Jim, just little things like that that no one really talks about. He's steady. He's so low key. He speaks like a coach because he was raised by a coach. And that's a great thing. That matters. Winning is all that matters to him. And that's something that continues to grow because he's continue to grow within the

team because he's continuing to grow as a communicator. And this is something that we heard a couple of off seasons ago. The team asked of him, we need you to be a little more communicative. We need you to be a little more upbeat with the guys. And then we saw him at the pro bowl, you know, going and hanging out talking with everyone. I thought that was really encouraging. I think the weight off his shoulders this year with AJ being gone. That is demonstrated in the way he's carrying himself. And I think it's helping him grow as a player as well. Well, look, we'll take everyone's thoughts. And again, if you've, if you've been on the jail and train the whole time, cool, awesome. Talk to us. He's about to get 65 or 70 million dollars a year. It's going to be sooner rather than later. Well, won't be this season because they don't do it in season, but I know what you're saying. And then the year healthy plays like this or near it. He's going to get a whopper of a contract. Look, here's the thing. All of the 63 is the lead in average per year on the NFL. Jalen will get 65 or 70 million.

Two one, two one, five, five, nine, two, ninety, four, ninety four. I mean, here's the thing. Obviously through his entire tenure, there's just a number of things I've praised, some of which John just hit physical top and his mental top, and a lot of that stuff. I think he throws a nice ball. I've never criticized his accuracy. I'll tell you plainly what I have criticized. Now this isn't so much him, but I'll just put this out there as a, as a, as a preamble. I've always said there's so much around him that that helps lift up, you know, his winning percentage. They win a lot because what's around him and a lot of people have admitted that, that obviously there, there's some truth to that in that there's been a ton around him and neck. And so it's been hard to judge both of them. But here are, here are four things in particular. I think it's fair to say I have consistently said, and I'm curious to two one five, five, nine, two, ninety four, ninety four, as we recalibrate two weeks into the season, your thoughts on these four things are more. Four things I've been James to your point, you know, whatever, here's where I've been. He doesn't, is what I've said, he doesn't throw on time.

There's open receivers, open receivers, he's not throwing on time. Number two leaves the pocket early unnecessarily. No doubt about that. Absolutely no doubt. And I've only seen two times this year and I've noticed it twice once in the first game, once in the second game, hey, two plays in two games is not a problem at all. Especially with the poor protectors. For sure. For sure. So, but we all know that that was a negative hallmark of the last couple of years with Jalen. He would leave when he didn't have to. But a lot of that was the offense too. All right. Next, doesn't get in the progressions to a second, third and fourth receiver. He kind of goes hand in hand with the last one, leaving the pocket early. Like if the first receiver's not open, escape, run to the right. And what I'm seeing this year is he's gotten much better at getting the receivers to three and four. And the final thing I'd say that I've said, and if you think I'm missing one, these are some of the big ones. If you think I'm missing one, I've said I didn't think it would work well with him in a

new offense, IE, West Coast offense. And so far, I mean, he's been been the best player of the team. So look, talk to us today at 215-592-9494. That's where I'm at through two weeks. I'm curious where you're at. Talk to us. We'll get into the Phil's, Jalen Hertz, Recalibration, where do you stand? Joe Cameron, John Richey. It is as always, 94W. The weight is over. It was close to 50 years ago this week that that ridiculous episode of Happy Days where Happy- where Fonsi jumps the shark occurred. Certainly not one of the greatest episodes in television history. My favorite show of all time is Happy Days, but I recognize that one wasn't so good. Favorite show of all time. Oh, 1000%. What about the West Wing, that day? Everything is second on down. 1,000%. Why haven't you watched Happy Days the whole way through? Thought about it. I thought about getting to it in adulthood. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I may. See, this is one of those things where because it was your favorite at that age, you just nothing can ever top it. That's crazy, man. You have to evolve and change. No, I wasn't my favorite show when I was a kid.

Guess what? As an adult, it was. What are we talking about here? The kid, my favorite show is the Smurfs. Yes, I love cartoons. I love cartoons. Fonsimakes are happy. Fonsimakes are happy. Fonsimakes are happy. Staggment. Thanks for your happy. Make me very happy that Fonsigay. But look, here's a deal. Speaking of TV history, today at 215-592-9494, we've all seen hundreds or thousands of episodes. Today, I'll ask you at 215-592-9494 for the Weezer tickets. What is the best television episode of all time? Those are awesome tickets, by the way. Weezer. You dig that cool. Bakerton. Pinkerton is one of my favorite albums of all time. All right. So give us the greatest television episode of all time. There are haymakers. In, for instance, James just mentioned The Wire or The Soprano's or Game of Thrones or Seinfeld or whatever. You pick it. Talk to us today at 215-592-9494. Whoever comes up with what we determine to, I'll tell you what, it's not, Final episode

of Seinfeld. Right now, whatever we determine to be the best episode of all time amongst those said by you as callers, you win the pair of tickets to see Weezer. John, what do you think? Game of Thrones, Battle of the Bastards. They're a big one. An amazing title to the scale of this television show. The battle scene. You know, the battle scene at Winterfell used 500 extras, 600 crew members, and took 25 days to film just the battle scene. That's incredible. Yeah. And of course, Sansa ends up saving the day with the Knights of the Vale and she is. Spoiler alert, man. No, I'm capturing Ramsay. Well, she was forced to marry Ramsay Bolton. Everyone hated Ramsay Bolton. Yep. And this is where you get to see him get his come-up ends. You know, so it's great on so many levels. Satisfied. Very much so. Look, give us a big answer at 215-592-9494. James, what do you think of him?

I think this episode aired 22 years ago today because the show began 22 years ago today. The best first episode of any show ever and one of the great episodes of television is the pilot episode of Lost. There are a few television things that have ever come close to making me feel like the pilot a lot. Has anyone of you watched Lost? No, but I'm thinking about it. Dude, Lost is. Never ever saw it. And the first episode, it's the best pilot ever. So Lost started on the same day that... 22 years ago today. Yeah. Like, because I think France started. No, France is a 90. But France was a 90. Yeah, yeah, same day. And James, James, what was it Lost in 24 soon arrivals at that time? I remember that. Kind of. Yeah, like they were on at the same time in both like... That's what I thought. I don't know. I don't think they were on the same night, though, because 24 was on Mondays and Lost was Wednesday. I watched both of that. I give us a great answer for the best TV show ever. And again, tell us where you stand on a recalibration Tuesday on Jalen Hertz. Now two games in a year seven. And, really, what are you thinking here on TV? I'm going to go more recent because it is just one of my all time favourites. Season two of the bear, the Forks episode, when Richie, who's this foul mouth, you know,

he gets put into a fancy restaurant. Yep. And he has to polish Forks, which he thinks is beneath them. And it changes the entire arc of his character. It's one of the greatest episodes I've ever seen. Cool. Look, there are huge answers out there. I give you one. It's a show we don't reference too often. But man, I remember watching this and just being... Shocked, but it was just something, man. In Mad About You, when Paul... And what was his wife's name? Jamie. When Paul and Jamie are having marital issues and there's a episode where they have... Jamie Helen, huh? Yes. And it's shocking because it's deep in the show and all of a sudden, like, they might be breaking up and they have a conversation through a door. One's on one side of the door, one's on the other. I just remember Paul Roser was just sitting by the door and they're just talking. And this was a comedy. I know. That was not a comedy episode. It was like, they're breaking up. Like, what the hell is going on? What was on before this show? Because I would always turn it off.

Like, whatever. I don't know. Mad About You was very solid. I never, ever watched. Very solid. Very, very, very solid show. Mad About You. I give us a big answer at 215-592-9494. For the best TV episode of all time. Let's kick it off with Dennis and Springfield. Dennis, good morning. Hey, good morning, gang. You know what, Joe? Well, you know me. I've always been a jailing guy. But I don't want the doubters to be calling you because it's okay to have doubt about any filled-up your pro-athlete. I want the haters to call. The ones that call every show, every day. The one trick ponies who all they got is jailing stinks. He can't do this. He can't do that. I mean, I've been fouling the Eagles. I don't even want to say how long does it all give away my age.

But I waited my whole life for a quarterback like this. Two Super Bowls. We're going to go through all the stats. And it always bugged me that you could be an Eagles fan, but hate to quarterback this much. I never understood it. Doubt fine. But just the, the disdain and, I don't even know what the word is. Dennis, I'm so with you on this because, Joe, you know at the NLS season, I was way more aligned with you. Yeah. You couldn't even get nothing jalen hurts, it was the passing game was awful. He needed to be better as the offseason went along and Dennis is about the nastiness, the tone, the disdain for your starting quarterback for a guy. Is he the elite of the elite, no, he is not, but he is way more accomplished than a lot of those quarterbacks that they talk about every day. And I thought the level, disrespect was outrageous and I, I'm, Dennis, I completely agree

that Dennis I completely agree with you. And you've held your ground on that the whole all season. Yeah, I have. No, I need to. I need to. Dennis, go ahead, bud. And the other thing is, I mean, look at all the quarterbacks that were right ahead of them. And how are they? How's Herbert doing? How's Lamar Jackson doing? How's Baker Mayfield doing? And it seems like the things they would punish Jalen for, like having the good team, you know, the quarterbacks were allowed to have good teams. I just could never understand it, but I'm a big time home or so. Maybe that's my problem. All right, Dennis, give me a big answer. Best TV show of all time, episode is with one. All right. Well, you know, since I'm first, it kind of caught me off guard, but I'm going to go with a surprise episode. How much older is he than you? How much older than you is he? He's like 30 years older, 25 years? 148. By the way, I'm also 20 years older. I'm also a man just for anyone who doesn't know I am 48. This is hard with this song, James. I'm going to try it. I'm 48 and a man. I'm a man. I'm 48 for 48. Thank you, Harry Cals. Yeah, Andy's probably about 65. You know, something like that. John, do you think Andy wants the record? Yes. Because I get conflicting answers when I ask this to people who personally know Andy Reed. Well, a lot of people tell me what is, no, I know you want to be a imposing my own feelings. I would too. I just, I think it's a natural human thing.

You know, he's been at this for a long time. He's made so many sacrifices himself, you know, through the years to do this and do it right. And I think, yeah, when it's all said and done, he he's going to deserve a lot of, you know, prestige and that would certainly earn it for him. No, I mean, dude, the all time, the coach. Incredible. If he gets that, I remember one prestige that I would want. Yeah, when she'll have broke, when she'll have broke the record and wasn't even a great off in season. But when they broke, when he broke the record in the early 90s sports illustrated in the sports, you know, sports first in the year. I mean, it's a big deal. It's a huge deal. It was so big. I remember when he broke it too. I like it was a big deal. When you were here, are you rooting against Andy? Break it against the Eagles. No, no, no, you did break it against the Eagles. Yeah, we dug Peterson. Yeah, that's correct. Yeah, you ruined against Andy to get the record. No comment. That's what I thought. I will not disrespect John's coach.

I mean, I know how much he loves them. I was, I'm not the biggest. I know. I just put it in. I know. All right. 21559294, 94. All right. So get an Eagles poll question for you. But then a Philly's question. I really want to drill down on with with the caller today. So Eagles poll question brought to us by Armand Chevrolet. Available now. Armand is offering 0% financing for 60 months on all new light duty Silverado's visit armand Chevy.com. Here's the Eagles poll question. I'm going to fill in the blank here on this one. The Eagles offense in line is dot, dot, dot. I'm not even giving you great or elite anymore. Or I'm not even entertaining that. Take that off the table. Not entertaining that. And by the way, let me say one more thing. This is just the way I present this poll and presented in my own thing about it. My own mind. I'm not saying what they've been through two weeks. I'm saying what are they? Like this season, the Eagles offense in line is what? Here are the four choices. Good because I think that's the best they can be.

Average below average. Bad. Now, I think most people would agree they've either been so far. No, no, no, they've been bad. I think they're two games. I think it's inarguable. They've been bad. No run game. In the past, I think they've been full on bad through two games. John, which, which will they be this year? I mean, two down hopefully 18 more games to go. They've got to get a lot better. They've got to get a lot better. What are they? Right now they are bad. What will they be? When this season is done, we will say they are good average below average or bad. Which one? Well, I sure hope they can work to good. We all hope that. I don't think with, well, I don't know. I don't know. I worry about Lane. He's at the end. We know that. I, Steen has been very average to me or below average at times.

I don't know. I don't, when they get more fixed and they get a better understanding of how to work together, that's going to improve when you just get a little more co-inciveness. Sure. But, man, I don't know Drew Kendall if he's really got what it takes to be a pro. And that's why he's been a backup person. No, I mean, look, it's very concerning. It really, because it has been the greatest strength of the Eagles for 10 years. Our tackles are, has been this solid. One is getting really old. And the interior is an issue. That hurts. 2-1-5-5-9-2-94-94. We've got a Phil's question for you. We'll get to that coming up shortly as well. Recalibration day, two weeks in of the season on Jalen. I've been incredibly impressed. I've been surprised. I've been encouraged. I'm not ready to say, sign them up long term. But I am telling you this, if he keeps playing this way or near it, I'll say, sign them up long term. He has been dynamite so far. Let's get to Nol. Nol, good morning. Good morning, guys. What's up?

This is a pleasure to be on with you. I've never spoke to Nol. Good morning, show before. Wow. Well, thanks for calling. Nol. Yeah, welcome to the program. Yeah, I appreciate it. Honored to talk to you, Mr. Richie. I'm a big, big fan from your 49ers days through Eagles days. I'm glad you stuck around here in the city of Brunnerly Love. Actually, I'm not here. I live in Massachusetts, but from Philly. That's man. Great answer. I've been a Jalenite from day one. I just, you know, the whole career, everything I did in college, what he did as soon as he stuck started on the field for the Philadelphia Eagles. And obviously everything he's done since then. And, you know, I've called the midday show and I've called the afternoon show. And Joe, I mean, the four points that you went through, the two that I would refute, right, the failing from the pocket and not going through the progressions, I think you're seeing a direct growth of maturation and correction of that problem based on something that we all know. And that is AJ Brown being out of here. I mean, clearly he can take coaching.

What did he hit? He said, eight, nine, nine targets on Sunday against Tennessee. I think it's clear to me he wasn't going through progressions and he wasn't bailing out of the pocket because of AJ wasn't open and Smith, he wasn't open. He wasn't being coached to really throw to anybody else. I mean, we had to, what was the name to, to Sean, dot, dot, on his team for the last John, John, John, John, John, yeah, sorry, John, dots. Clearly made an impression. Yeah, sorry, sorry. I mean, no, I like the guy. I like the guy and I couldn't understand the last three seasons why we didn't use that guy. He's an excellent route runner. When he had his opportunities, he called the ball, but he never got opportunities. And I think it's because Jaylin wasn't even being coached to look at other receivers. Now he's being coached. He's the son of a coach, as we all know. And I think that the criticism of him over the years has been ridiculous. You know, like he says, the main thing is the main thing and that is winning. No matter what it looks like, that's winning.

It's obvious, I think, to people now that he is perfectly capable of doing anything that he is asked to do and coach to do. And the final point that I'll make, which is the other point that everybody knows, is the man has had basically, you know, the the seriotti offense, but different versions of it, different, different voices in his ear in his headset every season. And I, I said on the midday show and I said on the afternoon show a couple of times. I saw an interview with Damirino, Steve Young, Peyton Manning, and I forget who the other, the fourth quarterback was. But I've heard Tom Brady said the same thing. And that fact, he said it on the broadcast for the Eagles last week. It takes an NFL quarterback three to four seasons. And John, maybe you can speak to this three to four seasons to completely understand their playbook, to completely understand the routes, to see every defensive alignment that you're going to see, to know all your checks, to be very comfortable and get into that flow state of how to run an offense.

It takes three to four seasons. And that was back, and this is back in the day when they ran the ball more than they throw. And the routes, the routes were probably the same, but some of the mechanics and all that stuff is a lot more complicated today than it was back then. And this guy has had to relearn every single year. And in spite of all that, two super balls in four years, an MVP, and look at him now. I mean, I, I hope Manning sticks around like I hope the guys here for at least two or three seasons. And whoever they get, they promote from within. I know it's, it's, I wish. You know, Josh McDaniels, you mentioned Tom Brady. Josh McDaniels was Tom Brady's offensive coordinator for 14 years, 10 years for one stretch, four years for the first stretch. I don't know how on earth that happened other than Josh McDaniels stunk as a head coach. He left, became the head coach of the Broncos and you know, failed at that. They, you know, he went back and I guess just was comfortable in that spot.

I don't know how we secure that sort of luck for ourselves with Sean Manion or whoever ends up being the play caller next year. I mean, I'm looking ahead to that. It feels like if things continue on this trajectory, Sean Manion is going to be in line for a big promotion somewhere else. All right. No, you're an excellent caller. So we need you to call more often. Give me a great answer. You can win the Weezer tickets. Best TV episode of all time is which one? So I don't know if you guys remember this one. It was, it was a side field episode. I can't remember the name of the episode, but it was the opening scene and the four, the four of them are at the diner and. George starts talking about how they got caught by his mom. I don't know if I'm allowed to be your contest to say the contest. That's it. Look, that's a huge episode. My favorite episode of the show. No question. I mean, there's no doubt the contest could win. All right. So we got the Pine Barons and the contest out of the game, which we're all to a start.

Yeah, what's your bake? All right. 215 592 94 94. All right. So Phil six games left in the regular season. They should make the playoffs. They got a 97% chance to make it. They're going to make it. They're four up with six to go. The question to wins this week. Yeah, the question isn't so much are they going to make it? The question is, what's he going to finish and who they're going to play? So I'm curious and I want to present this to everyone you call on the rest of the show at 215 592 94 94. Give us a word or a phrase that describes either how you feel about the Phillies or just what the Phillies are. Take it either way you want. Your personal emotions or what they are. I will give you the word I most feel this morning and have felt for you know week and a half or so since they've kind of been sliding back again. Because they've been man they've been inconsistent. It's been a rollercoaster this year months when the 08 equals. The main word I would say is aggravating. They are really aggravating.

They're pretty good. Not great. Pretty good. But they are highly aggravating. John, if you had to give a word or phrase what would you say? Empty. I feel like I get punished when I buy in. I feel like I'm learning not to get tricked by this team sadly. I want to believe. I want to buy in and then they go from here to they plummet and I feel sort of betrayed. You know what to hold on. Why aren't they keeping the great approach that they have? When Luis arise first arrived. So you can Luis arise is still hitting but then what happened to everyone else? If they if Zach Wheeler wins game one of the playoffs you're going to be so into it so fast. I know that happens to me. We were more even. Yeah, so we got aggravated and empty out of the gate. What are you thinking here? Give me a word or a phrase. How do you think I feel betrayed the Wildard?

One of my favorite lines from Birdcage. Oh wow. You look at that a quote. Frustrate it. They frustrate me on a daily basis. Yeah, no, it's been been really tough. Oh, you're a good game. Okay, back at you. Yeah, it's just it's frustrating. James, what do you got? I don't need a word. I'll give you a letter. F. Right. Just not good enough, man. Look, anything you can have in the baseball playoffs, we know that. Like I have, I am far more expecting them to lose in the wildcard round than I am to make a run. And they might not lose in the wildcard round. They might like, they're all similar levels, but I have like so little faith. Well, if they play the braves, I'm really going to be out of my mind because it didn't have to come to this. James, I know you're not as concerned about the braves. Yeah, like, look, I agree with you of the three teams, the Cubs, Podgers and Braves. I would put the braves last, but I think they're all really similar. The thing that I like about the braves. Even with sales. Well, sales the thing. Three answers to sell that's the thing. It's here's a wheeler going again, Sim. It does mitigate wheeler get bit. It's more that like this team needs some belief.

They need some confidence and they have beaten the braves in the playoffs two of the last four years. Like this group, a lot of these guys can go in and see that team across the field and be like, we've done this before. We've beaten these guys and they've never beaten us in the playoffs. Like they can feel that and I don't know how much that matters, but I do think it's something. But it's more than I think all these teams are really similar and I think they could beat or lose to any of them. I do, I will say though, and this is controversial. I want them to start on the road. I want them to start the, I want them to play. Why? Because I think that they get tight here, man, they've set it themselves. Everyone wants it. The ball of the ballpark. I think we saw it in 22, like a road trip where they bond. They win a game, a couple of games on the road. They can get some juice before they come back to the bank, start the next series on the road, get back with a little juice. Like again, I don't expect them to win anyway, but I do think there's something to them getting a little bit of a, you know, an edge or something. Well, look, as you call in the day at 2155, 592, 9494, give us a word or phrase that describes either how you feel or what they are.

I am very disappointed lately in the fills and and conflict it because, you know, the playoffs are about to start and you want to get all pumped up. And again, I'll say, I mean, if they win a game, one of the playoffs, Q, Q, Trains going to be on a excitement, but like. It's been a tough watch this year, man. It's really been tough. 2155, 592, 94, by the way, a big injury, less than a pro football, not out for the year, but certainly impacts the division. If you miss a month and a football Jackson dark out hurt, MCL springs, according to the way on the sideline. I played the Eagles in seven. Yeah, MCL springs. Sounds like he's probably probably going to be back. Well, look, it's all to be determined. It's so early, but he'll be rusty when he's back for. Well, and here's and here's a deal. They are almost definitely less of a threat in the division now. Yes. I mean, James looks so bad. Well, he's just not that good. No, he's not that good and and Jaden Daniels. I know I was here. Yes, Sam. She talked about it. Yeah. I mean, the fact that those two and Rhea, you said it five million times this off season, and I didn't disagree with you, but for it to manifest two weeks in his wild.

That Daniels and Darter both now out already. Well, Daniels was more that I didn't think his body type supported the way he plays. The Jackson, Dar thing. I think, Jen, he got injured in the pocket, right? Yes. Oh, he got crunched. Two guys. So was it like my console? He was always that he was he plays reckless, which is fun to watch. Right. But yeah, he I mean, I will tell you this. I'm a little scared of that Rams defensive line. Yeah. Well, as you should be. If you missed the last night, Aaron Donald was back in the Rams, handily won the game. Two one. Awesome. You thought he did look good in his first game back after two years off. He's 35 years old. He looked the same. Wow. Two one five five nine two ninety four ninety four. I coming up something Ray did. He said yesterday about Jalen hurts will get to that and Ruben Ruben Amaro in studio with us for the next three hours. The playoffs start next week. The Eagles recalibration on Jalen. Where do you stand? And your chance to win weezer tickets. We need the best television episode of all time.

Let's hope Philly's baseball gives us a real playoff run. I'm going to twist everyone's brain for a sec here. And ask you, have you considered this possibility?

The Philly's can make it to what we refer to as October, i.e. the playoffs. But not actually make it to literal October. Playoff's starting next Tuesday, it's a week from today. I hate that by the way. That's September 29th. If they lose in the first rounds in the first two days, they're out before October even begins. Wait, it starts on the 29th. Yeah, it can be over on the 30th. It's a day after the bears game. And the day after LeBron speaks for the first time is a sixer. Welcome the next week. But it is incredible. So the Philly's will play Tuesday and Wednesday next week. And then Thursday if there's a game three, but incredibly, they could be eliminated before October even begins. All right, with that joyful mood, let's welcome our guy Mr. Rubin. The music did not, I mean, the jive with beer. I told you, my word for the Philly's is aggravated, man. I mean, it's, it's really annoying.

I will give you mine. It is perplexing. Yeah. And the reason why it's perplexing is because it's a super, the talent has not equated the level of play. Because it is a talented group of players as far as what they can do and what they have done. But they have not put it together consistently at all. All season long. They have a roller coaster. So Rubin, and again, welcome everyone to the show. Hope you're having a tremendous start to your Tuesday morning. Rubin with us for the next three hours. By the way, Nick Sireoni today at 840. So the Eagles say coach Nick Sireoni 840 will talk to jaws and Elliott prior to that in the seven o'clock hour. Lots of dough. Rub, it's a recalibration challenge show. We have seven million challenge shows in the all season, but nothing was really ever new. Now we got new stuff. We got two games. I have been incredibly, incredibly impressed. I have been very surprised. I am highly encouraged. And as I said earlier, I think most teams with what's gone wrong around him.

Would not be two and O this year. Some would. If you have, you know, some quarterbacks can get there. But but most quarterbacks would not have a two and O team right now. And if he plays like this or near it, I'll say sign up for a long time. So that's where I'm at. Now you were more of a believer the whole time anyway. Yes. So, you know, you don't need convinced in at this stage. But what have you noticed so far? So the beauty of what he brings is, is number one, he's a winner. Okay. I believe in that. I believe in the fact that he is, his goal is to win. He talks about it. He preaches it. He believes it. And I think he believes, I think he sort of manifests it with his play and his talent. So there I think both on a talent level and on an emotional level, he sort of lives out his goal. Right. And while I do think that he worries about how well he performs, I think ultimately he cares more about whether at the end of the day the team is winning games.

Period. And I think that he's always put himself in a position to try to get better to do that. And I'm not surprised that with another new scheme and another new offensive coordinator that the man is making the adjustments that are necessary to become better. That's who he is. That's in his DNA. And I think that he's just going to continue to try to make the adjustments to get better and be the guy that he is. We had a winner. We had read Didninger on the show yesterday. One of the things Ray talked about when he joined us is that he liked post games Sunday night, Sunday afternoon. The Nick Sireoni had said that Jalen is great at quote, being in the moment. Sort of the old be where your feet are type thing. Don't let the pastor, the future, you know, influence you in the moment. Just handle your business in the moment. So Sireoni had said the Jalen is great at being in the moment. Ray said that he loved that description. And then Ray talking to us said this. You know, he gets the ball back with 156 to go. No timeouts, no barkley, no gotter. The offensive line's been bad all day.

And he's got to drive at 65 yards to save the day. And at that moment he's not thinking about the interception in the first half. And he's not thinking about the interception through the first half. He's just thinking about 65 yards to go win the game. And I mean, it's easy to say that, but not every quarterback can do that. They can put all that stuff behind and just say, okay, let's just play this into here and now. We got the ball, we got one last possession, let's go down to win the game. And if a guy really feels that, and that's how he approaches it, and he's able to transmit that to the other 10 guys in the huddle, that's what you need to win in those games. And that's what this guy's got. That's right. Yesterday on Jalen, let's find out what you think of Jalen again, a recalibration Tuesday. And I'm especially interested in hearing from those that have doubted. I think that's the most interesting conversation piece for those like me who have doubted either a little bit or a lot. Where do you stand now? I'm not ready to declare, let's have him definitively as a quarterback for the next five years.

I will tell you this. If you play like this for half a season, I'll tell you about that. For half a season, I'll tell you about midway through the year. Yeah, sign me up to sign him for a long time. So that is if he has a bad game next week. He's a lot of bad game. But again, I told you right from the start of the season, I told you exactly how I'll handle this. I will tell you after the season, whether I think they should keep them or not, and I will tell you before, after the season, if I see it clearly, keep them or get rid of them, I'll tell you. Soon as I feel like I can say I know, I'll tell you. And it's not going to, it's not a one game proposition. Let's get to John right now. John, good morning. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey guys, good morning. Good morning, John. Hey, first time caller, long time listener. Thank you for calling us. Yeah, absolutely. Hey, quick question and probably Ruben can answer this the best. But you know, back in July, the Phil's had a meeting and everybody got together

and talked about being more selective at the plate and taking pitches and, you know, and all of a sudden they go on a run and they win. I don't know. Was 8, 10, 12 games in a row? Isn't it time for another meeting? Quite possibly. Yes. I think more. Yeah. Actually, the meetings can get a little, they can become white noise after a while, but they're not white noise if the players themselves hold the meeting. It's all about the players themselves holding themselves accountable. Those are the meetings that become the most important, not necessarily the ones that are held by the manager. John, I will say this, man, obviously you want to see them improve his haters and do whatever they got to do to do it. But they're just not a good hit team. It's not going to change in any dramatic way. It's not if they are going to go deep or if they're going to win the World Series, they're going to win it on the backs of the starting pitchers. That is the way this team is.

They are not good enough offensively to be a great offensive team. It is to me, it is impossible, impossible. And you don't hear me say that word often about sports. It is impossible for this group of players to become a great hitting team, impossible. Well, I mean, when they were, when they were having that run, they were thinking and doinkin and it was singles and doubles. It wasn't, you know, swinging for the fences. Yeah. So I mean, it can't, it can't do it. They can't do it. Yeah, but they can't sustain it. They can't sustain it. Traitor. Brandon Marsh, JT as a hitter. I'm not ripping JT. I love JT. He's just old. The collective is not good enough to sustain. Now, look, the thing about the playoffs is it's about four weeks, four and a half weeks. They can hit enough to win it all, but it would only be because the starting pitching leads them there. Period. So, so the other point to that is, what does the hitting coach do?

How come he's not the one calling these meetings? How come he's not the one tracking pitches? Hey, yes. How come he's not the one saying, hey, hey, guys, you're swinging it stuff that's outside the zone, low in a way. He does. I'm sure and he and his assistants all work with them every minute of every day and they talk about it at nauseam. At the end of the day, you have to put it into practice when you're playing. And at the end of the day, here's the real at the end of the day. It comes down to the players. Correct. I mean, for the whole age of a love of God always has. Yeah. All right, John, I need, give me first, give me a word to describe how you feel about the fills. You know what? I'll say you a work in progress. Watch fair. That's that's a really late. It's late late to be a work in progress in the playoffs. What's the opposite of progress? Work in whatever that is. Yeah. A hundred and fifty six games in. Yeah. All right, Johnny, give me a big answer. You can win the Weaser tickets. Best television episode ever is which one?

Well, I'm not going to fly back from Austin, Texas, but I'll go with cheers when they send Frazier on a snipe hunt. You got to remember that. Yeah, I got you. You know, I, I, I, you should remember, you've watched it multiple times. I should and I, and I don't. So I'll say this bad answer by him. You're going to go with the cheers answer is bad answer. Should have gone with the end of season one. Final episode season one, Sam and Diane. Maybe should have been at Chloe when he was like, I'm not flying back from Austin. Yeah. I suppose so. All right, coming up next. Obviously next for the Eagles is the Chicago Bears, which means they team likely without Kale. Williams week three. What Ben Johnson, Bears coach said about his star quarterback status yesterday. We'll get to that. Something believe it or not, a key to leave. I didn't even know he was. Real, I thought he was like in jail from that incident a couple years ago, but I guess not. Must be out now. I guess he's out. Well, they commented on, on Jalen and AJ. We'll get to what he said. Something Nick Folls said about Jalen, hers. Plus, Ron Geworsky 730.

Got Richie and Rubin jamming out in here. Look at these guys. Hopefully the Eagles keep jamming out. They're to and out. Congratulations to Zach Ersson being back. It's a very cool thing. We all wish Dallas got it and hadn't got hurt. But they're running an offense. I think suits him far better than the offense they used to run. And look, prior to the injury last year, let's be really straight up about it. Prior to the injury that he suffered last December, he still had some serious gas in the tank. Now, we got to see what he's got post injury. We're all wishing Zach the bass and want to see him have another year or two, however long he can go. But Zach Erts is back with the Eagles again. What's super cool. John Clark caught up with him. We're going to get you some of the audio coming up shortly of what Zach Erts said to John Clark upon his return in the airport in just a moment. Thank you, John. Once again, Clark. Johnny Ertsman.

Johnny Ertsman. He's a much stronger. He's unbelievable working man. I speak into airport James Landy yesterday in the airport back from Tennessee. James give us a little Tennessee report Eagles and Titans. It was unbelievable. Honestly, I've probably been to like six or seven away Eagles games. I've been to some way Philly's games. I've never been anywhere with more Eagles fans in my life. It was, it was it. And I talked to Joe runs fans of Philly. Philly, they did an amazing job. Always do. Always do. It was the best trip. I talked to him. I was like, all right. I've only been to a few of these. You go to all of them. Yeah. How does this compare? And he's like, this is one of the most I've ever seen that he had ever seen. Yeah. And I was like, it was like, all you could see everywhere you went was green. We were every bar I was in, probably like 20 Eagles chance throughout a night. People were singing fly. The bands were playing fly Eagles flying. I mean, Eagles fans come up on stage to sing it. It was really, it was a special thing to be there for it. And obviously, I will say the one part. And I'm sure you guys saw it on TV.

Heard about it. Nick Sturionny had an issue with it with the IV after it was the hottest place I've ever been in my life inside that stadium was. I honestly felt like I was melting. Wow. You can hear my voice. My voice is not real. People who ate my voice tough day for you because it's worse today than normal. But it was, you know, you're yelling in bars. There's music everywhere. It was Eagles chance. It was, it was a special, special trip. At least for me. Love it. Love it. 215-592-94-94. All right. So let's get to some of this audio of Zachary. It's now being an eagle again. And let's start with him talking to John Clark, NBC Sports Village, John Clark. About his family's reaction. Let's take a listen. What was the reaction of the family and everybody that you're coming back to Philly? Yeah, I mean, my mom was in tears. My wife was ecstatic. My kids. They really don't understand. But I already had the voice packs in the E.A.G.L.S. Chance. So overall, it was good. I mean, it's exciting times. And like I said, just really happy to be back.

And I honored to be back in the Eagles Green. But at the end of the day, I got to go earn whatever role I can. So that's the goal right now. It's interesting. I hadn't even thought of it. I don't know how old his kids are, but depending on the age, they might not have known him as an eagle. Probably pretty young. I mean, it's 25. Yeah. And while Jewel Yards was an active soccer player until not long ago. So again, I don't know the age. And if they were like young, here they might remember it and all that. It's like their first true experience. Awesome. All right. Let's listen to more of Earth's talking about return. It's going to be special. But for me, it's just trying to have a great week of practice. Obviously, I got to earn everything. And then on this team, there's barely half the good. I would say there's like 10 guys on the team that play with me, no me personally. So for me, it's just going to be a great experience to get back in the building, get around the guys and earn whatever I can. All right. Very cool. Zach Irtson. And again, credit to John Clark tracking down Zach Irts, which is awesome. We'll talk to Nick Suryani today at 840. So the Eagle said coach Nick Suryani at 840 today on the program.

215-59294-94. By the way, something that you may not know, John, you probably don't know. Philly sports. Flyers played last night. Yeah, I saw that. I knew that. I knew that. Ruben Idol. I mean, come on. I, yeah. People are up on preseason hockey. Now they are. Now they are. I'm impressed. All right. We'll talk to jaws coming up in a minute, Ron Jeworsky. And then also a later in the show as I said, Nick Suryani, jaws in just one minute. Small business owners are always looking for an edge. And Verizon business has you covered. Usually two days after the birds have played a game. Good morning, Joss. Good morning, Joe. John Hope. Everyone's doing great. Two and all is really good. Yeah. It's really good. And I'll tell you, Joss, it's really impressive from a jail and standpoint when you consider how much has gone wrong around it. Let's consider this. St. Juan Barley plays the other guy the other day. God or gets injured. Yeah. The old line's been bad. Two games in a row. The defense has been fine, but not nearly as good as perceived. There's less talent without AJ. They're getting almost nothing from the first round pick. They've gotten literally nothing from the second round pick. So I contend most quarterbacks would not have their teams 2 and 0 right now. Major credit to Jalen. Do you agree? Joe, I would agree 100% with that evaluation. There is no doubt in my mind that we are 2 and 0 because Jalen hurts his played well. The team hasn't played poorly, but Jalen has elevated his game without a doubt. And I think the dividends from that last game winning drive will pay off down the road when they're going to be in that situation again,

where they're going to get the ball back with less than two minutes going and need the score to win the game. It was a beautifully orchestrated drive. It was beautifully executed, you know, drive to win the football game. That pays huge dividends down the road. I thought it was a great job. It'll go a long way in helping this team and they get winning in that situation again. And I do agree. The offensive line must come to the party. It's a worse actually in this offensive line playing years. The interior line is not working well together. Not a day. There's been some issues with the guys' health in the interior line. But it has not played out the standard that we are used to seeing in Philadelphia. How tough is it, Jalen, to do what Jalen did in the final 158 of that? It felt almost flawless leading the team down when it has to be done. You've been in that position plenty of times. Just how tough is that? It is very tough. In my 17 years as NFL quarterback, I can't remember the amount of times that I let a team down the drive when a football game.

But I know the carrier value was absolutely incredible. And the confidence that will instill in the football team that no matter what the situation, we've got a quarterback. He's done it. He showed us he can do it. And he can do it again. So it's a real positive down the road. Jalen, let's drill down on a couple specifics that I've been very critical in the past about Jalen with that I see immense improvement this year. One doesn't throw on time. Two leaves the pocket unnecessarily. Three doesn't get to a second, third and fourth receivers enough. Have you seen big growth in his game in those areas so far this year? No doubt. In fact, I thought Tennessee tried to speed up his game. They blitzed him ten times on his drop back to you. When eight of nine, that's 88% for 72 yards. So they tried to get him to play fast, tried to get him outside the pocket. And he just crushed their blitz, their blitz. So when I went through that tape and saw how good he was against the blitz. And the touchdown pass, I went through that product a lot of times to be Jalen Hertz to say,

okay, what's he saying? What's the play call? Actually, the play call with the motion identified, man-to-man coverage. He could see the safety backside cheating up in a line of scrims. He was coming. When he got the ball, he dripped it to his right, just giving Darius enough time to shake free. Now, yeah, they blew the coverage. But Jalen did everything he had to do to make that play work. Yeah. How the O line really limits us, I would say. It's really a sticking point for a lot of us. How good can this O line be with the current personnel that we have to work with, Jalen? That's a good question, John. I really don't know. And I know it's only been two games on which I give you a more definitive answer. But they certainly have struggle playing as a unit. And, you know, John, you used it when you were a player. You kind of on those guys up front to do their job so you can do your job. And right now, the communication just isn't there. And you have new players that haven't played together. Those instincts just aren't the same. Yeah, they know who to block. They know how to get it done.

But it's just that it's a split second that makes a difference. And right now, it's just not happening. But I think it eventually will come because it's a very talented group up front. And we'll see how it plays out going down the road with Dallas Gotter out as well. Because he was also an outstanding blocker. And he's going to be out for a while. But maybe we'll pick up different Zachards coming in as they're receiving tight end. And so, because let's talk about Zach. So obviously, big injury since he last played. Prior to the injury last year, what did you see on tape from Zachards? How much do you, pre-injury? How much did you think he had left? He had a lot left. And I still think he does have a lot left in him. When you look at his history, my God, he's only Harold Conn Michael's caught more patches than he has as a Philadelphia. He was only 11 shorter than the team record. So it's clear that he has an excellent receiving tight end. But he'll get in the way in the blocking aim. But from what I remember last year in an account for how he played in Washington before he got hurt. And we had 50 catches. So he was productive. And that was in 13 games.

So, yeah, I still think you're some some gas left in the tank. But we'll see how when he gets in town, kind of shape he's in. How he fits his new system. But I think he's a good acquisition at this point of the season. Josh, based on we only got to see two games this year of Dallas Gotter. But I don't for the life of me understand what happened. The regression with Dallas Gotter in terms of his willingness to block or ability to block. I know he's going to be out for a while. We're bringing in another tight end who's, you know, an unbelievable receiver. But not the best blocker. Why did Dallas Gotter's blocking ability in the run end in past protection? Why did that seem to regress? Yeah, I wish I had an answer today. You know, not there every day. I do watch the games. I do look at the tape. But he's never been a great blocker. But he's been an adequate blocker. And actually, I thought, you know, week one he had a tremendous game as a receiving tight end. And I thought his style of how he placed it was a really good fit for the Sean Manion system.

You know, you got to be able to block as a tight end in the system because they run inside zone. They run outside zone and they run outside outside zones. Your tight end is critical in allowing them running back to get to the edge of the defense. So I thought Dallas Gotter would have been okay in this, would have been better in this system. But, you know, now, at least, you know, probably a few more weeks before we say, he has one to get back in the game. Roger Worsky with his jaws every Tuesday at this time. Of course, the jaws on the defense. I am confused, slightly concerned. Look, they should be fine. But they might not be elite. I've been perplexed that they haven't played better yet. And I'm wondering how much is it that they lost, Shaylin Phillips, Nikovi and Reed Blankenship. Are they not elite? Well, I think they have the capability and ability to be elite. They haven't showed it. You know, we, we've not played a real great offense in the first two weeks. Yeah. Washington and Tennessee are not teams that are going to scare anybody with their firepower on offense.

And we just haven't performed well. But, you know, as we've seen this defense developed under big managers, you know that the system is sound, it's good. But it just hasn't played up their abilities right now. Now, maybe that's, you know, the fact that, you know, again, John and I, you and I both think you need to play some of the pre-season. We don't play anybody in the pre-season. A number of minutes on the field to get a feeling of playing the game at a warp speed of a game in the national football league. It takes time to adapt to that. Right now, we thought the strength of the team would be the defensive line. The defensive line is not playing well as a group. Now, there's been some individual great plays along the way. But as a group, they just haven't played well together. And that's kind of surprising to me because it's a veteran group. They know each other. Maybe the edge, you know, when we get everyone healthy on our edge rushers, we'll start getting home. But right now, I don't think the pass rush has been there. And it seems to me right now that that Vick is kind of dialing up some exotic glitches and by design, trying to get some pass rush pressure. Yeah, that's not what any defensive coordinator really wants to do unless his name's Jim Johnson or, you know, or Buddy Ryan.

Sure. But I will say, I thought that John Campbell stepped up this week. I thought he had a poor game week one. He missed a lot of tactics. I thought he stepped up this week and looked like more of a veteran player on the field. That's great to hear that he stepped up. He's got a sack this season. Jaylen Carter has a sack this season. Nolan Smith has a sack this season. What about Jaylen Hunt? How is he playing, Johnson? And I thought this was supposed to be his big emergence and, you know, he's been kind of quiet. Well, he's a hustler. He gives a great effort, but he has not been making productive plays. You know, he played 42 snaps and which, you know, out of 51 in the game, but he didn't make an impact play. He's got talent. He gives a great effort, but this hasn't gotten home yet. I'm hoping he can find the way to get home and make plays for us, but right now he hasn't been able to get it done. All right, jaws. So I'm going to give you a name and for 95% of people listening, they're going to say, who the heck is that? And I'm curious, jaws, what you can tell us if anything about this guy.

So Caleb Williams probably is not going to play Monday night against the Eagles. Chicago otherwise, you know, she'd have a good team, but no Caleb Williams. What do you know about Tyson Begette, who may be their starting quarterback this week? Yeah, we're going to have to argue how to pronounce his name number one. How do you say, how do you say, Jason, that agent would ever be, but agent kind of funny. What I heard Caleb Williams was going to be out. I recollect a game two years ago, a preseason game now. I was, you know, fishing through some network games that I caught a game where Tyson Begette was playing in a preseason game. That's about that was about, you know, and pretty much I studied the quarterback. Pretty much for everybody came from a small school. He played in the senior ball and played very well in the senior ball. But the game I saw in a preseason game two years ago, he looked like he belonged. Not a small sampling preseason game, not a meaningful game, but who knows what will happen when the lights come on this young man. Now to do a case can, who's a veteran guy has been around, you know, I wouldn't be surprised.

I wouldn't be surprised. As well, but Tyson Begette on a Monday night football game against the Philadelphia Eagles. We had to talk to you if you were a bear span. Does have you ever seen any player roll around on the ground and get carted off for a grade one hamstring strain before? He was crying. He was crying. He was just chewing the crowd. But not yet. It's okay. I'm still alive. It's a grade one hamstring strain. He got carted for what is wrong with that very strange. Take it up. Oh, Oh, God, who's the old school guy that would be most, who's the old school guy that would be most disgusted by that? Is it Ronnie London? Ronnie London would have taken a shot off. You. Yeah, he good, Jos. I had a run up to 117,

started during my career. Now it was the NFL record for games that were started at the time. I've always believed the quarterback is in his about availability. You must be on the field. You got to play with pain. You got to play with him. It's part of the nature of the business. And if your quarterback is your leader in toughness, you're going to have a tough football team. And that's where you're going to have a good, great time. It's a great time, great time. Which we have. Not a good, like, like, like, like, you know, sore hamstring and be, you know, crying and tired of all the field. Oh. Wow. Jos, listen, but it hurt. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. I call it, man. It hurts. It hurt that they only had three points at that time in the fourth quarter, John. That's probably hurt. It's a world that is going to be the greatest offense in the history of the national football league. And they got three points. Maybe I'll just shut up. I might have wanted to think about, we play our home games in Chicago in the winter. If we're going to set the points record, too.

It was like, it was a bold thing to say. Jos, you stay well, my man. Love the commentary. Run, Jos. Good, good. Every Tuesday. Thanks, Jos. Okay. All right, boy. That's amazing about Ben Johnson. The Ben, Ben Johnson doesn't get half the hate that Nick Cereon gets. I can't stand Ben Johnson. I mean, he's, I mean, the, what did he rip off a shirt like all that nonsense? I mean, he called out shirt after all the games. Yeah. I mean, he acts way more immature than the Nick does. It's a high score. I know. Before the season, we're going to break the points record this year. Like imagine it gets very, when you hear leaders speak like that, it's interesting. I've had other GMs. I've heard that. I've heard other managers say that it's like the baseball gods and the football gods. They're listening. They got you. They, they get you 100% of the time. They're always on your shoulder. Yeah. Absolutely. And I mean, the handshake with the four last year in the playoffs. Listen, it's okay to be another one. Yeah. It's okay to be excited.

It's okay to have and enjoy the win. You have to celebrate the wins, but. About your success. Speak for you. Boom. Yeah. I agreed. Yeah. 100%. I don't love all the antics. The antics are more post game. I don't think they are. Maybe with some exception. I don't think they're disrespectful to the opposing team. There's a difference. Well, he did have an issue with Zach Erts, remember? I do. And that's why. And that's literally what was in my head, Ray? When I just said, what's some exception? My point about Nick is when they put out the post game things with the team. Yeah. He's usually pretty mild. You know, very praiseworthy. You know, it's all about the team. Yeah. And, uh, and this guy Ben Johnson, I think he just thinks he's the greatest. Yeah. I don't like him. Plus, he's a steal on the aim guy. If you're going to be Ben Johnson, you better be on steroids and be Canadian or on the back. I make them all. I was also incredible play right. There you go. There's another Ben Johnson. It's temporary of Shakespeare. I don't know that.

All right. That's actually listening to this Ben Johnson, because he gave an update yesterday on Caleb Williams. Obviously, the Eagles and Bears play now in six days. And so Ben Johnson was talking about Caleb Williams. Let's play two pieces of audio and update yesterday. And I know we're anxious to get going here to the Eagles. I know everyone's going to ask about Caleb. Um, we're, we're saying week to week with him right now. We'll see where, where he's at as the week progresses and, uh, you know, how long that means. But, um, you know, it's, it's, it's was somewhat encouraging the report that we got. And by the way, let me say I'm glad Caleb Williams isn't out for the year. It's not good for pro football. No, not all these young guys. I mean, that's a, and that's a real NFC. Like that makes it easier for teams like the Eagles and the Rams. I mean, that's, aren't enough good. We get to watch football every week. Like there are so many bad quarterbacks already, you know, and I'd also say there are three of the more fun quarterbacks. Yes. Totally agree. Like they're fun to watch. I agree. All right. Let's, Caleb Williams ain't going to play. I mean, you don't, you don't hear a coach say week to week and a guy's going to play next week.

But a reporter drilled down on him and Ben Johnson's like, hold on a second, buddy. Let's listen to more. Caleb Williams talk with Ben Johnson yesterday. Hey, Ben, just to clarify, will Caleb practice this week? I don't believe he will. So are you ruling him out now for week three? Are you saying that there's still a chance towards you? I did not do that. No. I don't understand. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, if you don't practice, you generally don't play, right, John? Ben Johnson gave him a, did it, did it, did it, did it. Did it fold? Here's the translation. Caleb Williams ain't playing. Ben Johnson doesn't want to admit it. Reporter got in his face. Ben Johnson wasn't happy. That's that's translation of what just happened right there. Very strange. Two, one, five, five, nine, two, nine, two, nine, two, nine, three. Also strange. He should be able to play with this injury like as a quarterback, I understand he does move around.

So that. the I believe it was a great one, not plan. All right, two, one, five, five, nine, two, nine, four. One more thing before you go back to the phones, let's listen to Nick false. He was talking about Jalen Hart. So if you're just tuning in, we're doing a lot today on a sort of recalibration of Jalen two, two weeks into the season. I'm asking it particular for those that have doubted of which I've been one big one, doubting Jalen, you know, what you think and what you feel now about Jalen. I've been incredibly impressed, surprised, incredibly encouraged. And if you place like this or near this, I'll tell you, either at the end of the year or sooner, sign them up for a long time. I think he has really shown, look, not only tremendous improvement, he's played better, but he's specifically improved in some areas. I did not think he would improve on much or at all.

So I'm really thrilled with how he's played. Let's listen to Nick Foles after the game on Sunday. Foles on his podcast, talking about Jalen's improvement and the evolving game. Listen to what he said, deep. It's isn't NFL. Do not want to see this evolution from Jalen. Yeah. This is the one thing where they're like, Oh, geez, that's the one thing that we were counting on him, not getting to that second or third read. And then if that first one's taken, he's got to run around and we're going to get more hits on him or we'll keep him in the pocket. But those are huge. Yeah. I mean, there's no doubt he is playing flat out better and he's playing really, really, really well. Two one, five, five, nine, two, nine, four, nine, four. Matter of fact, a key to leave has a theory on part of why Jalen may be playing better. Let's listen to a key to leave talking on a, on a digital show this week. What he said about Jalen as it relates to AJ Brown, let's take a listen. Darry is Cooper, catch the game. Winner, right? Yeah. And the vibe is just, it's just the opposite of when AJ was there to me. It's just a happy team. Everybody has a brain.

We ain't worth going catch the game. Winning touchdown. I just feel like Jalen, I heard this plan free right now. I thought to anybody. I thought it's an open man without somebody on my head. Yeah, I'm saying so good point. Like how the Eagles playing ball right now. Did anyone say they thought that might happen? Maybe some people on the show. Oh, we got ready. Jalen, Jalen's going to be happy. He's going to just throw it to everybody's open. What a thought. He certainly seems happier and more relaxed. He does. I mean, that's been since training camp. We've all noticed that. I have. I have noticed that. All right. So fills in a word. We're a phrase. How do you feel? Either how you emotionally feel or what you think they are. Again, the word I said was, I'm aggravated. I'm really aggravated. I'm not out. Look, guys, play I'll start next week. They might make a real run. They do have the capability. But I am really aggravated that they can't play sustained. They can't play good ball in a more sustained fashion. They just are remarkably inconsistent.

And we know the two main ills of this team this year have been the bats and the bullpen. Can I give you a word? I showed before I said, my word is tired. Like I feel beaten down after this year. It's just been such a roller coaster with this team. And after the four years prior, like, I'm just tired. I got it. Look, they are pretty good team, but they're not a great team. And they are exceedingly aggravating. I mean, they really are. Let's go to the phones. Two one five five nine two nine four nine. If we're get to Joe and A. Fair right now, play I'll start in seven days. They are aggravating, but if they operate the way they can, they can if they I know at the right time and they've just been timing this up somehow, they could really do some. John, I know they can win it all, but they have to play. They have to hit better. And the bullpen has to raise up and lasart us the great down the bat. They'll be very different than the playoffs. That's yes. Then it will. What you're seeing right now. All right, Joe. Talk to us, my man. Joe and May

fair. Good morning. I thought I was just dreaming of you actually believing something that the fellows could actually do, which they won't. They're monotonous. This team has actually been the not miss for the last four seasons. It's the same old song and dance. And I don't believe in them at all. They the EQ, the IQ, the passion, the heart. I have never seen a club so tired and boring in September on a penitence with lifeless. Well, I will say this, Joe, you may not you may not remember this, but it's worth pointing out. Twenty two, which thrilled us with what they did in October. And they really did get close to winning it all. They had that's September. That's September. They had two five game losing streets. And that was at a point when their likelihood of making the playoffs was far greater hanging in the balance than this team. Like this team is going to make the playoffs. Magic numbers three. They got to win two. The other team Diamondbacks got to lose two. Phillies win one. Diamondbacks lose one. They're going to make the playoffs.

Twenty twenty two, man. Two different five game losing streak. So my point is we have seen lifeless before and then seen a team hit a turbo boost. It can't happen. Well, they had the daycare and a guy named Reese Hosskins who actually played with passion in heart and that dug out, which I think they lack someone like that every day or daily basis. So let's get to the real reason I'm calling you. You know, I am a huge gallon backer. And I have been until last season because I saw a corporate side of him, which I did not want to see ever again. This arrogant attitude where he's unapproachable. I'm glad he took care of that new off season and so far this season. But the tools have always been there. The leadership's always been there. The mental toughness. But I have a question for the plan physical toughness. Yeah. Since the decade, who's the most accomplished athlete in Philadelphia? Well, I mean, I'm Ron James. Seriously. I want to title twenty twenty in a thought off uniform.

Look, I mean, the choices would be Bryce Wheeler, you know, Shorber or Hertz. It's I mean, Jaylin, right? Well, it's, well, here's what I say. Joe, hold on. Let me answer your question. So if you're based in an on team accomplishment, it would be Jaylin. But if you're saying who's been the best player, I would certainly say it's not been Jaylin. But go ahead. Okay. That's what I feel boggled was my mind is he's one of the top three Wheeler, Shorber or Hertz for best athlete in Philadelphia since the decade started. And we're talking about him like he's trashed some some fans and callers and media and pundits. Yeah. That is just appalling to me. If you can even consider him as the top athlete of your town and do not want him around any longer, just shows you how awful the fan base has been towards him. It's been brutal. Well, some of it's been. I would count it player. Yeah. So here's the thing. Some of it's been too far. But you guys know in the past what I've said. And listen,

this year may completely fly in the face of it. I've always said I am curious what it would look like when there's less around them to his credit with way less around them. I mean, they've been in a plus around him, you know, for the most part, the last, you know, four years or so. And I'd not always a plus. But you know what I mean, really high grade. This year, the defense hasn't played as well. The offense and lines been bad. Stayquans essentially missed a game. Goddard's essentially missed a game. They don't have the town of AJ. They don't have any, any productivity from the first round or they have literally zero from the second round. But so my point is I'm amazed with what Jaylen's done. I give it tremendous credit. Your point is, you know, with less town. Do you think Josh Allen has had the talent that that Jaylen has had? No. Of course. So why hasn't he been able to elevate the bills? Well, he has elevated the bills. He just have one. We also under a, he's had one of the best events of lines in the sport. Nobody, tire career. Nobody hasn't had the defense. The Eagles have had. I mean, there's a huge, huge, huge difference. He hasn't been able to elevate it. Defense multiple times. They've been top five in defense multiple times.

Like the Eagles have been incredibly elite three to last four years. And there's no doubt on my mind. Jaylen said more around them. But listen, again, on a recalibration Tuesday day, I'll say if I, if I was wrong, I'll tell you probably part wrong. But let's acknowledge this. And I hope everyone else will acknowledge this. Jaylen's playing better than he typically does. Like this is the best he's played since 2022. The passing game looks terrific. This is the best he's played since. Understand the correlation between the coach who is teaching him the play caller who is in his ear and Jaylen's performance now. So you, are you buying into this concept now? I'm buying into it. Offense was a huge part of the problem. I'm buying into it more. Okay. Yes. All right, Joe. Give me a little less. One, just one last point that goes because this is a huge topic for me. Yes. You can have the Jordan loves and the Herbert's and the Strauss who throw the ball all over the lot 40, 50 times a game and an act like they're the best things since fantasy sports.

I'd rather have a quarterback who shows up every play it is and does the best he can is with John says all the attributes. Everyone, oh, Joe, Justin Herbert's God. Yeah, I think God's one of the faiths of the earth with him. When you have an athlete as accomplishes this guy is and who actually understands and he can handle Philadelphia, why would you want him to leave is beyond me. He's like Tim Duncan like he's just steady all the time. I'm not being the the gaudiest stats, but what you see is what you get and for the most part, what you're going to get is a guy who's going to keep you in games, win games and not wet the bed. All right, Joe. Give me a big time answer for the best television show of all time for the weasertakers. Which one is it? Well, I love when Diane came back when the last episode of Cheers won for the road. That was a very that all the emotions you can possibly have in a closing episode of this series was one for the road with cheers. Yeah, that was a big one. There's a three three three episodes. I believe with Diane at the end. It was a strange dynamic. I don't even remember John Diane and Rebecca interacting.

It was a real wreck. Yeah, they kind of just it was a quick interaction and then they just kind of sounds like a problem. You remember what actor Rebecca married final up said it was getting engaged to no way net. It's a salad. Yeah, no, it's Tom. What's his name? Beringer? Is that his name? I think he comes in and becomes Rebecca's man at the end. Sure does. All right, 215-592-94-94. Let's get to the Twitter poll question the day. It's brought to us by Armin Chevrolet. Gas prices maybe you're hurting your budget. Well, you can visit armin Chevy dot com to see the huge savings on every Armin Chevy EV in stock visit armin Chevy dot com. The poll question, the Eagles offense align is and not so much what they've been like is like this is what they are this year. Now they can improve. No doubt they can improve. But when this thing is all said and done, will you say that you think they will be good average below average or bad? James,

we've been used to elite. We don't even have that as a choice. When this thing is done, good average below average or bad, what do you think they'll be? Hopefully average. Like I'm between below average and average. I think they will rise up from bad, but they're not, I don't think they're ever going to get to get this year if I had to bet. Let's listen to something Seth you winner said yesterday, Seth was with us in the program in the non-clockwise hour. If you missed it, always good to you can go back and listen to Seth. Seth every Monday with us from nine to 10. Here's what Seth said yesterday about the online three words. Tell me which one applies to the offense align through two weeks average below average bad. They've been bad. Man, they've been, I mean, there's times where they've been average, like in that drive yesterday, that final drive, they were more than they were average. They were above average yesterday. But for the majority of the last two games, they have been bad, which makes challenge performance all the more heroic. But it's incredible. It is. It is indeed. All right, let's talk to Elliott.

Sure, Parks had joins us every Tuesday at this time. Elliott brought to us by Dr. Laurie Gerber, her proprietary real three method provides a roadmap to more energy, sharp for focus and better hormones, personalized care that helps you age your way at my doctor Laurie dot com. Good morning, Elliott. What's up? How you guys doing? Good. So Elliott, we'll ask Nick Sireoni at 840 about the offense align. I know he's not going to express. I know he will not express the level of concern that he feels because he's going to express some positivity. How do you think he really feels about his own line and what it means this year? Yeah, I think he knows they need to play better. Rewatching the game yesterday, I don't think they were as bad as maybe, you know, the public perception is I do think Jalen did have, you know, a fair amount of clean pockets to work with. I think on that last drive, right? He had a decent amount of clean pockets to work with. But still, overall, you watch it and he's running for his life a lot of the game, right? And I think for

as much, for as many positive plays as he did make, he also saved a ton of negative plays. Like, they were behind the sticks quite a bit. They could have been behind the sticks on almost every drive if it wasn't for Jalen escaping pressure, you know, avoiding sometimes two, three defenders in the backfield. So I think he knows they need to get better. But the question really is like, what does that look like? Right? Does it continue with this five? Do they change things up when Landon Dickerson feels he's healthy? And then there's the, you know, the Chris Cooper question of it all. So, you know, I heard your poll question. The real answer might be like unknown and that's like the scariest part because they've been such a sure thing for so long. So, Elliott, everyone may not agree with this and you might not accept the premise of the question. But I believe Jalen has improved this year. If you agree with that, what do you think he's improved at the most so far? So I do think he's improved. I would agree with that. I would say we're like rewatching the game. You know, his accuracy, I thought was was much better in week two than it was in week one. And

probably even better than it was last year. And again, not to keep going back to the offensive line, but it's impressive how often on Monday or sorry Sunday, he stood in the pocket and made a big time throughout despite the fact that he knew pressure was coming. I think at time he's knocked great in the pocket. He does invite pressure sometimes. And I think he's doing a better job this year of when pressure gets there still getting rid of the ball standing in the pocket and really delivering like some absolute darts on Sunday. So how much does Jalen trust Mikae Lemmon at this point? He's got catch in each of these first two games, but you're you're around these guys a little more. Are there positive signs that there's an uptick there? So, you know, they haven't still not had a ton of reps together. I wouldn't say that when I when I watch the the game back, like there are times where Mikae is wide open and Jalen is electing not to throw him the ball. That's probably actually something else. He's improved that it does feel like he is willing to

throw the ball to anybody this year. I think in past years, it's not been a bad thing, but like when you have Devonte and AJ and Dallas got it, like you lean towards throwing them the ball. So, you know, I do see Mikae and Jalen getting extra reps. I know they did that a ton on the practices. Mikae did take part in injury camp. You know, he I thought Mikae had easily the best play. I've seen him make in an Eagles uniform in this game where he caught that third down pass and it was really like a contested catch there, but I just don't think Mikae is getting a ton of chances right now because I mean Devonte is playing well done. Tavy and Wix is playing well. So, you know, the lucky thing is there's not like a huge need for Mikae to be super involved in the offense. So, Ellie, let's talk about the next draft at Rock and that of course is Eli Stowers as it relates to Zach Hertz. So, here's the deal from what I sense in history. Normally when a player like Hertz is signed, he is usually signed for the remainder of the season that there's an agreement between the team, the agent and the player, hey, we're bringing them in and we're sticking

with them, which you know, unlike many players that get brought in that aren't franchise legends, they get brought in for a week or two and then it can be pushed out. So, this tells me they are really, really, really down on Eli Stowers. Do you agree with that? Yeah, I think if you set the overrun on catches for Eli Stowers this year, I would set it at like four and a half, you know, and I wonder how many of those would come in a meaningful game. I think when you bring Zach Hertz and now the thing that with Zach Hertz that has to be at least mentioned is there is the health component here, right? Like he's coming off of a major injury. We'll see, you know, how he does in practice this week if he's able to play on Monday night and like how his body holds up to, you know, two, three, four weeks in a row of practices. But yeah, Eli Stowers, you know, it's interesting, McIleman's what, McIleman was drafted as a pro-ready player. Like that's how he was viewed coming into league. That was not Eli Stowers, right? He was viewed as much more of a project. So, I definitely think Eli Stowers, like anything you get from him this year should be considered a positive. And

I agree with you that when you bring Zach Hertz and this is a move you're making for the whole season, but we just, you know, they're going to have to see how the body holds up. Is tight end? How he's new, well, once upon a time it was a wide receiver and cornerback that he couldn't draft properly. It feels like tight end is becoming that position that eludes our GM. You got Grant Calcatera. Well, I think I'm decent production. It was a fifth round pick, right? You just haven't taken many titles. Yeah, but I mean, John, is a fifth round pick. Grant Calcatera has been good as a fifth round pick. I think he's been solid. Yeah. What do you think? He's a fifth round pick. A lot of fifth round pick is a fourth year player that's a lot of fifth round picks play. If you're drafted, you're, I think, I think Calcatera's a good pick. Not a great. I think I'm on, man, whatever. But I only last hours. Grant Calcatera, the last two guys that we took are not able to play for, they're both on IR now. Is it the new blind spot for Howie? You know, it's a, they have not drafted a ton of tight ends. I think that's

a fair point. But I would say to your point, John, like one thing Howie clearly wanted to do this the pass off season was like kind of overhaul the tight end position, right? I bet if you would have told Howie at the end of last season, that is two tight ends going into a week three game would be Dallas, Goddard and Zachary. He wouldn't believe you, right? So I don't think this was the plan. I think this is where they have ended up. And you know, last year, one of the issues they had at the tight end position was they had guys that could catch and guys that could block and not a lot of guys that could do both. And I think they're still kind of in that same situation, right? Like Goddard is probably the best at doing both. Johnny Munt, much more of a blocking tight end than a receiving tight end. Zachary, much more of a big tight end than blocking tight end. Not that good at blocking. I was disappointed with Munt in this last game. Yeah. And then Eli Stowers much more of a receiving tight end at this point of his career. I mean, he, you know, much more than a blocking tight end. So I think if you put, you know, Howie on a lie detector, he would probably tell you deep down this tight end position is probably not

what he envisioned when the off season started. And Goddard with the MCL that, you know, they announced today, how long did they expect him to be out with that? Did they put a number on it? Well, so the question is if they put him on IR, like that'll be the real tell, right? Now they have an extra roster spot, even after signing Earth's the practice squad, they're not going to have to get, you know, cut anybody to make room for them if they do eventually add them to the 53, which I think it's a fair assumption they will. So if they put Goddard on IR, that's four games. And that'll be the tell, like I don't get the sense it's a four week injury, but maybe they want to be safe with them kind of like landed and like force him to rest a little bit. And, you know, get to that 100%. So yeah, I don't think it'll be more than four weeks though. Elliott, I feel like, and by the way, it's 94 WIP HD one, Philadelphia's we broadcast from the Tasty Cake studio Elliott with his as he will be every Tuesday at this time. So Elliott, I feel like most Eagles have not played better than expected. Jalen for me has not everyone would say that, but he's played better than I expected. I think that guy next that I'd say that I've been

really encouraged by on both sides of the ball is Wix. Yeah, he looks like a pretty fricking solid player. Do you agree that most Eagles have not stepped up and you agree that Wix is on the very high level of those at half? So I definitely agree Wix has stepped up for sure. I mean, I really like the trade when they made it. I think it like off the first two games, the fact they extended him beyond this year could prove to be absolutely huge. I mean, if he continues to have the year he's having like the $7 million or whatever it is, he's he's not for next year, it's going to be an absolute steal. So I agree that he has definitely like overperformed. I mean, I think Devonte, I don't know what the expert, you know, he's a tough guy to have expectations for because we know he's a very good player, but he was unbelievable in this past game. But I would agree with that overall, I guess, but I can't think of someone on defense where you go. They've exceeded expectations at this point. Zach Bond has been really good. The past rest has probably been, you know, somewhat underwhelming through two games. So yeah, I think in terms of above expectations,

you would have definitely have to go Wix. Why was Wix hobbling around on that final drive? Was there any indication, you know, is he getting treatment? Is he on that list, injury list? So they won't practice until Thursday because they play on Monday night. So we'll find out more than but seeing him in the locker room after the game, he seemed to be fine. I think in any indication, he was dealing with anything. All right, Elliott, final thing. We're also looking for everyone that when they call him that they'd give us a word or a phrase to describe the fillies or how you feel about them. What would you say? Man, it's a good one. Like, I mean, lackluster, maybe, like, checked out. I don't know. I just, I find I have a hard time really kind of getting up for the idea that they could make a run. They seem completely cooked to me. I think they have almost no chance of making a playoff run. So whatever word you think basically describes that, I'm good with. All right. Elliott stay well, bud. We'll talk to you on Friday. Actually, as we get closer to the Eagles and Bearer. Thanks, bud. Thanks. All right. Let me ask you a question. So the fillies may have a dilemma and it would be a good dilemma to have. Yep. Okay. So we don't know as we sit

here today, whether Luzardo will be healthy for the playoffs, but then Browski two days ago said, games you weren't here. What was the phrase? Rea very confident? Was that the phrase? I'm very confident. I think so. I believe the phrase was very confident that he'll be ready. Yeah. Okay. Ryan Straub is saying he said optimistic. Very optimistic. Okay. Sorry. Very optimistic. Okay. Ruby, here's my question. Let's say, entering next week, the fillies believe they have a fully healthy Luzardo. I'm going to give you two choices. I want you to tell me which one you think they should go with. Luzardo is a starter. Obviously, presumably, in either games two or three, probably three, or Nola is the starter for game three when you enter the series and you have Luzardo for any in all games out of the bullpen. Well, you came between days in a row. I don't think. So which scenario, Ruben, as you embark on the series, you can start them game three and maybe have them

in the first game, but probably not. Or you can say, I'm starting the playoffs knowing that I want Nola to start game three and I am deploying Luzardo as needed in any game. Which would you choose? I would hold Luzardo to start game three if they need them to start game three. And therefore, be not really, and I say that with the caveat that if they have a chance to win one of those first two games, I would use them in the pad to close out a game. Do you feel he could pitch? Do you feel he could pitch game one inning on Tuesday and start on Thursday? Nope. Not now. So I'm concerned about that. So essentially what you're saying is going in the playoffs, your view would be the objective is for him to start game three on Thursday. But if I need to pitch him in one of the two games either Tuesday or Wednesday, then I start Nola game three. Is that what you're saying? That's what I mean, it's a reasonable approach that that's what I would do. That it's to be determined

based on how those games go. Yeah. James, you agree with that? I would probably save him for game. I get I get Reubes Point. I I'm torn on it. I wear all to one. Yeah. I would probably I think Luzardo needs to start again. If he is healthy enough to start, I'm starting Luzardo. He's more valuable as a starter. He's been lights out like if you don't put another way, you don't trust Nola enough yet. It's not even against Nola. Like I was a little bit against. It's always as good as Luzardo. It's all about Luzardo as a starter for me. It's that I think he is he is too valuable and too good as a starter. If he can start, I'm starting him. And it wouldn't matter who the other guy. They're they're all hypotheticals. If you need to try to win if you lose the first game of the series and you have to win game two, this I agree with then he has to be available to pitch in that game. Doesn't necessarily have to start it. I mean, you know, a lot of it depends on his over. Let me put one more because these are all scenarios and it immediately has to go through all of these with his coaches. Game one,

Zack will or pitches seven and eights and for whatever reason is removed. I want him to get the eighth inning, but let's just say it's seven and done. He's not going to pitch seven. If he's still going strong, he's going to continue to pitch until his arm falls off. But let's just say for whatever reason they take him out, he might be at 115 pitches now. Okay. Let's just say it's seven and done for Wheeler. You're holding a one run lead in the eighth inning entering the eighth. Who you going to? Alex McFarlane. Instead of instead of Luzardo. Yeah. Oh, he said he's going with Wheeler. No, I know. I'm saying no, I understand that. I'm saying in that scenario, I agree. I agree. I agree. He had a really good test against Juan Soto the other day and he passed it. My concern about him is he can't go in with one pitch. He's got to be able to spin the baseball because he didn't spin it very well, but he's got a really good fastball and he's got some colonies. All right. Look, two one five five nine two ninety four ninety four coming up. You'll hear Jason Kelsey's reaction. When Zacharyt signed with the Eagles last night with Kelsey said on TV,

we'll get to that plus Nick Cereon 840. Give us a word or phrase to describe the fillies or how you feel about them and obviously a lot more on Jalen as two weeks in phenomenal, phenomenal. Have you seen this video?

Yeah, it's the happy days one. Yes, I remember. And you get Fonzie doing the really one of the most inventive videos ever at the time. Like, who would have thought you could have weezer playing at owls? I know. Or Arnold's. Or Arnold's. It might have been Arnold's. Dependent on. You know, all right. So we're giving away weezer tickets today. We're looking for the best television episode of all time. Rue, what is it? Best TV episode of all time. You're springing on me, but I'm going to drop this breaking bad, I think, was the best show of all time. And I will say face off was the best show. Which one is that? As long as you don't say the fly because the fly was the worst episode. Which the one where they sort of blow him up. They blow up. I can't believe you. Oh, I know. You're saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah, chicken guy. Yeah, correct. Yeah, that's a great way to get you. Jim Coloss, Pazina. Yeah, that is a big episode. For sure. I like when Hank finally confronts them in the in the in the I don't remember any of this.

In the garage. The guys. There's an episode there in the hospital. And the one guy's happiness. Yeah, that's a that's a big one right there. All right, 215 59294, congrats to Zach Eertz on being back. Jason Kelsey and other franchise. Lesley, obviously Eertz franchise legend, he'll be in the Eagles Hall fame. So well, Jason, Jason was on TV last night. Early after the news had broken, chef to broke the news of Eertz being back. Let's listen to what Jason Kelsey said on one of the football last night about Eertz. Dallas has been having a heck of you really upset that he's down, but he's been a great port of the offense. But listen, you're going to talk me into Zach. That's my guy got a lot of good memories with Zach. We had a lot of success. He's in Trenton Philadelphia still to see him back in. I think he's he's close to some type of receiving record. I would have mind seeing that broken by 86 right there. All right, so he is close. Let me give you the numbers. We'll play a little game here. By the way, Nick Cerey on the 20 minutes. All right. So I looked it up earlier today. Harold is one at 589.

Harold Carl Michael 589 catches. Zachertz is two at 579. Now I got the next four. Take guesses. Three, four, five and six receptions in team history. Westbrook. Because I will say some of these names surprised me. Westbrook. Westbrook is four. Good job, James. He's got four 26. Buyers is a note. It's not a bad guess. I caught a lot of passes. Yeah. Who else? Um, did I mean quick quick get there. My quick did not get there. Friends Selic did not get the top six. He was seven. Wow. Good guess. So, um, Barnett did not get there. I'm telling you, I was surprised. Oh, is there an old school? And there's a guy from the 80s. See the Pete, whatever his name is right. It's not from the S. A Pete Rets left from way back. Rets. That's third. That's not the S. I knew there was an old guy who are older guys. He's a hall of fame or 452. I was surprised with five and six. Maclin now he wasn't here long enough. Um, five.

Gattards. Wow. Wow. Before he gives six away. Guys, six, six. I give you a huge end, but should I not give it? Well, I mean, for not gonna get it. I mean, give us a, it's like is he only got a huge end in you? That's it. I'm gonna give you a huge end. Okay. He will hold the franchise record in three years. Oh, Devante. Devante. Oh, my goodness. That's pretty nuts. So this is like a placeholder for a sec. Enjoy it while you have it. Devante is at 398. So he's essentially 200 behind Harold. Three years or so. Yeah, I think you're right. You know, to go on to his right. It's still let you know how incredibly awesome Harold Carmichael was. Oh, yeah. He was ridiculous. This is ridiculous. It took so long. And in an area where they weren't throwing it, you know, ever as much, you know, and obviously some of the most famous and greatest Eagles receivers, and I'm not saying Harold's not one, but three in particular shorter ten years for a variety of reasons. T.O. Year and a half. My quick obviously could have and would have had it, but the knee

and and and T.O. and AJ four years. I mean, that's that's it. So, you know, it's it's but yeah, Harold holds it. Look, we'll see if Zach gets it. He'll probably get it. Johnny, your point. I would think you'd get 11 catches. Oh, yeah. It does speak really bad for Eli Stowers that they sign hurts. Yep. That means they don't believe Eli Stowers is going to contribute this year much. So that's a that's a that's a real thing. All right. Twitter poll question the day. It's brought to us by Armin Chevrolet available now. Armin is offering zero percent financing for 60 months on all new light duty silver rottos visit arm and Chevy dot com. The Eagles offense line is you tell else fill in the blank. Good average below average bad. Ray Dittinger was very clear that they haven't been very good. Seth joiner was very clear. Let's listen to the diddy talking about the O line when he joined us yesterday. It starts with the offensive line. I mean, they got to get that thing straight now. I mean, they were they were bad against bad against Washington and they were bad against yesterday. Frankly, they have been bad so far. The question is when this thing

is all said and done. What will they be? I'll tell you what they won't they won't be elite. I'll tell you that right now. I think good is the best they can get to. Let's go to the phone. Siri on in about 15 minutes. Two one five five nine two ninety four. 94. We'll get to someone's of what Zachard said. John Clark caught up with them airport upon rejoining the Eagles. We'll get to that audio shortly. Mike and Del ran right now. Mike. Good morning. Hey, good morning, everybody. How you doing? Doing well, Mike. My phrase for the Phillies is why I hear from my kids a lot. It's, uh, aren't we there yet? Good. Good. It's over. Right. I watched flyers last night. The Eagles. I'm ready to turn. Hey, you didn't do enough to pass your. There you go. And then, um, with, uh, the Eagles, I'll tell you what, we're two and L because of jail and hurts. Yeah. And I was never I was never like, you know, I was always, I like jail and hurts. I respect them. I appreciate everything he's done. But I've also agreed with the people that say he's like in the top 15, 16,

four, six, but listen, I mean, there was a lot of what does he do at least, right? That question I'd ask a lot. And what he's done the last two games is win. And that's what he does to lead. And I, I'm happy for him. I agree. I think he looks so much better. And it's going to be exciting season for him. I think he's going to be really good. And I think we have goes far as down. I'll take this. Yeah, I mean, I'm incredibly impressed. I am surprised. I'm incredibly encouraged. And he deserves immense credit for the team being 2 and 0 because most NFL quarterbacks, the team would be one and one or two right now. He is dealt with a lot of junk so far, a lot of junk. I mean, they got three sacks. You know, like they got a lot going wrong. The offensive line's been bad. A lot going wrong. And they're 2 and 0. And he is far and away. The biggest reason why. Yeah, that 2 minute drive at the end of the game was probably the best drive I ever seen from him. And it's what they needed. And I don't know that every other quarterback gets that job done. But my favorite, the best TV episode ever was probably one of the most powerful scenes I'd ever seen

for this day. And it was a fresh prince Belair, where we're going to be. Big answer. Huge answer. Huge answer. Will Smith be a mad at the same. Andy Brum. Oh, powerful. All right, coming up in a minute, what Zachard said upon rejoining the Eagles will get to that just a moment here. Did you know that one in three people regularly suffer from nausea? My wife Emily is one of those people and it's been a real problem in our lives driving anywhere. It's been an adventure and pain tolerance. The idea of taking a cruise or a train has been non-existent. It's basically just us driving with Emily, me and Zoe. And she's sick to her stomach. She's a tinge of green. And it's really been a horrible thing. That's until relief band came into our lives. Relief band has been an absolute miracle for us. Life changing. We go. She puts it on. It's like, bang, she feels totally fine. We listen to music. We talk. We all hang out. We're talking about taking a cruise. It has been absolutely unbelievable. Again, it has absolutely changed our lives. Relief band is 100% natural. That means no pills, no side effects. And it works in just minutes. Relief band stops nausea from motion sickness, morning sickness from meds like GLP ones. It even works for

nausea from hangovers. I tried it this weekend in Nashville. It worked. It was unbelievable. Put relief in on your wrist and turn nausea off. Go to relief band.com and use promo code James that's J-A-M-E-S for 20% off. Again, relief band.com promo code James. Yeah, it hurts his back. And John Clark caught up with him. Let's listen to two pieces of audio as Johnny airport NBC sports Philadelphia caught up with Zachary. It's also some of the first. What was the reaction of the family and everybody that you're coming back to Philly? Yeah, I mean, my mom was in tears. My wife was ecstatic. My kids. They really don't understand, but I already had the voice patch in the E.A. GLS chance. So overall, it was good. I mean, it's exciting times. And like I said, just really happy to be back. And I honored to be back in the Eagles Green. But at the end of the day, I got to go earn whatever role I can. So that's the goal right now. All right, that's Eric, which is Earths with John Clark. Let's listen to another piece audio. It's going to be special, but for me, it's just trying to have a great week of practice.

Obviously, I got to earn everything. And then on this team, if there's barely half the good, I would say there's like 10 guys on the team that play with me, know me personally. So for me, it's just going to be a great experience to get back in the building, get around the guys and earn whatever I can. All right, so I'm just thinking about it here in the last few minutes. And I've got a list of two. And maybe I'm missing someone where these things really, really, really, really work out. Now, let me be clear. You're talking about like every union. Yes. Let me be clear. The two were worked out the most. The guys weren't franchise legends before they came back. Falls, not a legend, but liked. Yeah. Liked and appreciated around here. Respect it. Obviously, it worked out way better. Anyone could have expected your two near your time, second time around. Bernie, Perron, Rubbe, do you know the flyers had Bernie? Then didn't have Bernie and then had Bernie. You know that I did know that. Yeah. A lot of people don't know that. He was the flyers first pick ever. He was here a little bit. Then they got rid of them. Then he came

back and then obviously, you know, history took off with the cops. So most of these do not work out. And let's go with big names. Frankly, bigger than Bernie was and falls was before they left, before they left, the Sean, her rent. Oh, yeah. Like one game maybe that one also off the field. Two seasons. All that. It was just a mess. He missed most time. It was disastrous. AI. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I mean, it was fun for like 10 games and then it's just cratered. Ruben, you were there when Tommy and a Breuver brought back. I mean, they were old. Well, these guys are old. When they get brought back, I mean, Tommy and a Breuver just, I mean, let me just way, I remember a couple of years ago on the show. I didn't know. I didn't remember the Tommy and a Breuver came back. I mean, what were they? Just pinch hitters? Remember a Breuver. Was he a he was in what year was that a Breuver? Well, that's the point. It was wasteland.

It's really late. People weren't paying attention. Anyway, James, do you remember Tommy and a Breu coming back? I remember Tommy. Yes. Yes. I was about to remember. Oh, I didn't bring about. But I remember Tommy coming back. It was the end of his career. Apparently, I don't, I'm with you. I don't remember. Let me look it up. No, bring you. I thought of bringing you came back. He did not come back. All right. All right. I'm ready to come back. I ever got one wrong. It happens. Who else? He went to the met. All right. No, Breuver. Talking to record came back. Solid. Clifley. Very solid. Well, that's why I was waiting for Cliff. Cliff. I was waiting for him. He's sitting right across. Cliff. Cliff. And that did essentially work. It was good in the lab. Yeah. He was really good. Mickey Moore and Dini came back. Mickey. Glanville came back. Right? He did. Dini? No. I don't remember. I don't remember it. I don't think. Well, anyway, bottom line. No, I hate to point it out to you. And I don't know if he played on me. He did sign a minor. He leaked. Bobby. Bobby. Yeah. But he never came back. I never played for. Well, that no. Hammer's back in business. No, you're not. He was so bad. He couldn't even make it

to the big lakes. All right. Score one for the hammer. Thank you, Rhea. Rhea, you saved my dozen. Able. Physic. We're wrong with that. That's good. Glanville did come back. Oh, score two for the hammer. So I was right the whole time. Hammer. That's how you do. Oh, for goodness sake. I'm sorry. But if I was wrong about jailing on a tie and he's playing great, he's playing great. I'm really curious. That you were so wrong. It's like everything that other people said to the contrary was ignored. Well, I wasn't ignored. No, I took it all in. I'll say this. He's playing better than he had. So I don't think I was. Look, I would be wrong if he is someone who can be here for a long, long time. And I'll just tell you, I was flat out wrong in that regard. He is playing better, though. Like he is not escaping the pocket unnecessarily. And I thought that was the worst thing he did of all the negatives. I thought running out of the pocket when there wasn't reason to was a play killer. And I've only seen him do it two times this year. And that's not bad at all after two games.

So I'm very encouraged with what I've seen. I said earlier in the show and I'll say it again. I told you before the season that I'll either give you a declaration after this year of whether they should keep them or not or sooner if I'm convinced one way or the other. And I'm not convinced yet, but I am highly encouraged if he plays like this or near it. Obviously, sign them up for a long time. Real quick, we will continue to improve within this offense. That's the bright side of all of this. He is, he made mistakes. He made mistakes in judgment in this last game. And yet was still able to bail us out when it mattered. The more he plays, the better he'll get at those decisions. And, and, you know, every week is different. You're going to have a different combination of things that work against the defense is you're going to be facing. But I think the sky is the limit. For the way you forgot, I'm shocked you for this one. We forgot a good, a big Philly reunion that worked out well. Trot. Oh, Trot. That was great. No, that was great. I forgot all about that one.

And he was a legend. Yeah, he was, I couldn't believe when they got rid of him after a one. He of course got brought back. I came back. And that led to a GM ship. Well, in 96, I had a really good year. That was like one of my guys. Get over yourself a little bit. I was terrible prior to that. But I had a really good season off the bench that year. And then I stunk in the 96. I was with the Philly's got it, got it. And then like 380 off the bench. 97 was a pinch hitter. Yeah, good for you. I could pinch it because you're like, they look through that. They look through. They look through. Is getting it done right now. They look through. Is still a big. I stung it otherwise. But after that, yeah, it lead to a being being in the front office, which was kind of cool. Yeah. Well, change your life. That's huge. All right. So, Jalen, Recalibration, Nick Serion, assuredly. Give us a word or phrase to describe how you feel about the Philly. Let's get to Jeff in Northeast Philly. Hi, Jeff. Hey, how's going guys going? Well, Jeff, good morning.

Good morning. Good morning, everyone. I'm sorry, ladies, gentlemen. Rhea, how you doing? Great. How are you? All right. I just got a couple questions for you guys. I'm sorry. The Philly's point is, honestly, I don't want to sound negative. I just wish they would go away. Wow. Because it's always the same deal. They did nothing in the off season last year. For what Jeff? For what? Yeah, for what it's worth. I'll say that's not always the same deal. I mean, 22 and 23 were great runs until they ended. I mean, they were. There were thrilling moments. I understand what you're saying. Maybe I'm misspoke, but it always seems like it only happens when you don't expect it. You guys were talking about meetings and their grandparents. And you know what, if they can make all the money in the world, more power to them. But if you don't get it by now, you shouldn't need to kick in the butt like every couple of months. You know, it seems like they the manager gets let go. And then they go on his uptick. And then it goes back to the same old thing.

And then a couple of weeks ago, it was out of approach. The play is different. And then it just goes back to the day. It's like watching, but it's like, it sounds like a cliche, but it's like watching a bad movie over and over and over. Pretty frustrating. Very frustrating. You know, I'm not the most diehard fan in the world, but you know, it's just like when I keep hearing this, like, you know, the meeting stuff. And it's like, Bryce Harper's like one of the best players in the league. Like if he doesn't know what he should do by now, you know, like all of them pretty much, you know, price. Price is still really, really, really good. Whether he lead or not, kind of don't care. He's really, really, really good. And the issues with this team have been other hitters and the bullpen, not named Iran. I mean, that's essentially the story of the negatives. And you know, I look, they have been really carried by five or six players this year. We know them. The three starting pictures, DeRan, Schwarber and Harper. That's your team and arise to an extent

lately, meaning the two months he's been here. That's it. That's all you can include Nola in that now. No, the last and last six weeks. Yeah, look, yes, there are pockets. I'm not trying to, like, you're right. He's on Nola, but he's pitched well. He has, he's pitched great. All, I mean, all of us were kind of curious whether he'd be able to pitch again. Rube, I was incurious. I was most of the people in this room were out on him. I was all of these people in the correct. This room, you'll check out the other five million people in the area. I know. Yeah. Well, he figured it out. Jeff, give me a great episode. Best TV episode of all time is which one? I don't know if it's going to be considered. If you guys are going to call it the best one, but it came out of nowhere, the last, the last episode of the second New Heart series. Second one series of Bob Newhart. That's actually great episode. That's a huge episode. That's a really big episode. I can't remember that episode. Well, they recreate it. It's quite famous. Yeah. It's the end of the first series, New Heart, right? The Bob New Heart show

in the TV show New Heart when they're out in North and in New England. He wakes up in bed with the first wife from the first show. Oh, I do. Yeah. We call that. Yeah. That's right. So I don't even know if it's so much the episode as the final. The end of it. Yeah. But it's very, very, very famous. I Nick Cereonini will join us coming up shortly. It doesn't seem like the Eagles will be playing against Caleb Williams on Monday night, but he's also not going to be out for two too long. So three inches already quarterbacks in the NFC. Caleb Williams, Chicago, Jaden Daniels, Washington. If you miss it last night, Jackson, Dart, New York looks like he'll be out about a month MCL spring. John, we heard Jaws's reaction. Your reaction, Rubin, your reaction. His guys had played at the highest level in your sport. Finding out that Caleb Williams was not in fact shot. Nor is it a situation like Paul Pierce when they had to take him off on a wheelchair because he had

done a little something in his pants. No sniper. All right. Remember James, we found out about Paul Pierce like 15 years later. We all think the rumors were there. I mean the guy, the guy had what worked. If it was in the Twitter age and Instagram age of today, that would be very bad. I'm going to step away for a moment. Literally to go the bathroom. Do you know that, John? NBA finals. I did not. People thought Paul Pierce was done for the series NBA finals. He's down. He's driving. They bring out a wheelchair, like an actual wheelchair. All because the guy had, you know, his pants. And so, and then when he re-emerged, he was like, well, it's read like a couple minutes later. People thought, oh my God, he's back from the dead. And then he did play great. Well, because he was great. And he hadn't torn his knee. So why would you sit down on the ground driving around? He knew like Caleb Williams. He knew he had done dirty business in his pants and he didn't want people to see it. And that's when they got it. Yeah. Well, it seems like if you're

down on the ground, driving around, you're going to draw attention to yourself and your attention. He did. But if you sit on the ground, they might not say it. It's just a concept. I don't understand. I can understand the marathon runners and this woman. Yeah. I just still, I just it's a concept I can't get past. Like if you're feeling it come out, like how do you not shut it down? I'm with your room. I don't know. Just asking the wrong person. I didn't even get it with the marathon runners. I would stop running. I just don't get it. I mean, he was just. I've never been. Oh, yeah. Remember the Bobby Hurley. I never know. Let's say that's just. Yeah. Yeah. Bobby Hurley. Yeah. He's got diarrhea. Like right in the press conference after the game. Well, I just what it is. Amy will definitely leave me be by the time I'm 80. Like she'll just leave me because she knows it's going to be so ugly for me in the future. It's going to be hard. She's around. All that aside, all that aside, Rubin John and Nick Suryani any moment as players,

your reaction to finding out all that stuff from Caleb Williams was about a hamstring. A grade one hamstring. Grade one, the least severe. Grade one, hint. I don't understand. I maybe his feelings were the biggest thing that were hurt. It was a struggle of a game. And his pride was taking a shot. And I don't know, heightened sensitivity because of that. I just I was always taught that you never let your play see you compromised in any way. Correct. So like you shouldn't even know like like like Jalen Hertz operates. We don't even know he's injured until the season ends. And he has surgery on his ankle or he has something major corrected. You shouldn't you shouldn't never stay on the ground. The ground is. So does it make does it make you think less of his future? Yeah. Well, I don't know about that, but as far as a teammate. So Jaws made a comment today about Jalen Hertz making that run back and how

confident the team around him would be because they'll come back that he made. And the drive that they had. This is like the opposite effect because if you see a guy, your leader on the field driving around and you're like, this guy just got snipered. He's done. And he's got a grade one. I mean, unless they're lying about the grade, no one's going to let it go. I don't think they can. No, I don't think if I'm a teammate, I'm a player. You're going to be looking at him like, dude, hey, and practice guys are going to be lying on the ground, driving around. Caleb, do the tuna. Yeah, you don't do the tuna unless you're really, really. Oh, man. That's classic, man. All right. Well, it looks like no Caleb Williams at least on Monday, but he's going to have a future this year. But not a not a very good look for him. 215-592-94-95. He did have a lot of good looking plays in week one. Well, he's a great looking. He's a good player.

Yeah. And again, like three significant situations already, whether it's a week or two or three or longer, Washington, New York and Chicago, all having quarterback issues already is certainly notable. Yeah, we still hold Nanda. We still have four for what quarterbacks. Yes. I let's talk to Nick Cereon. He's brought to us by Bud Light. You can join Ava Graham at the garage in Rittenhouse. Monday night when the Eagles take on Chicago win tickets to home games, Eagles home games and merchandise courtesy of Bud Light. Let's welcome the 2 1 0 head coach to the Philadelphia Eagles. He was very fired up leaving the field and with good reason when Eagles pulled that one out on Sunday. Nick Cereon. Good morning, Nick. Hey, good morning, guys. Morning, coach. Good morning, Nick. Sunday, Nick, a lot to get to some from Sunday. But let's start since then. Zach Hertz signed. He's back when you and how we are in the room and you're talking, we doing it. Are we not doing it? And you say, let's do it. You must have had a lot of joy knowing you were about to make a classic

eagle really happy and by extension, a fan base happy. What's it like to be in that room as you guys make that decision? Yeah, every obviously we talk about everything and every decision so well of thought out and yeah, just excitement, you know, just excitement to bring Zach back and, you know, Zach, I obviously got to spend time with him early in his early than my time here. You know, not the not the entire season, but really, really like the person. Obviously the player is, you know, legendary of everything that he's done. And, you know, I always thought he was a good teammate, good person. And you know, I'm kept in touch with him and we've obviously played him multiple times since he's left here. So being able to chat with him before and after games is always is always fun and, you know, excited to have him back. How soon do you think he'll be able to make an impact coach? Yeah, we'll see, you know, that's hard to that's hard to predict. We

got to get him out there. We got to get practice practices. Obviously so important to, you know, our weekly process to for us to feel good about plays that we're going to be running the game or defenses that we're going to be running the game or situations to practice and also players. And so, you know, we'll get through this this week and see where he is. You know, we know everyone knows he's coming off of an injury, but, you know, the guy has always been a great, great worker of just wants to be great. So I can only imagine that he is in a great spot right now and we'll see where it is once we get a little later in the week. Yeah, tight end. The end of the offensive line, we've been talking to a lot of folks coach where the offensive line is a lot of people's biggest worry about the team right now, biggest concern. Do you feel the same way? I don't. I don't. You know, this is a this is a progression and I know we we all want immediate

immediate results, but this is a this is a progression of of things and you know, we found a way to win two games. We all have things to work on. It, you know, myself, every position, every player, every coach has things to work on. You're not a finished product and you don't and it's hard to compare. I think comparison steals a lot of joy. You just you just stay in the moment and see where you are right now and this is this team's journey. This is this aligns journey. This is this receiver group's journey and our goal is just to continue to get better, fix the things that we need to fix and there are things that we need to fix as we know, you know, it's, you know, you're always looking to find every way to win every single game. That doesn't mean that you come in if you win and say everything's okay and if you lose, you say everything sucks. Every, there's always work to be done and that's where we are right now and and if you take that seriously on

a week to week basis, you know, hopefully you're getting better as the season goes on. Hey, Nick, I'm incredibly impressed with what Jalen's done so far. Incredibly. It's my contention. Most quarterbacks won't be 2 and 0 at this point. Your defense doesn't have a takeaway. They only have three sacks, offensive line issues, sake one barely played last week, etc, etc. Would you agree? Most quarterbacks and pro football would not have a 2 and 0 record with this with some of what's gone wrong so far. You know, obviously we judge our games of things like we talk a lot about explosive play battle. We talk a lot about the turnover battle. It's hard to win when you when you're in that minus and the turnover battle and we find a way and Jalen played his butt off. He's played two really good games. He continues to get better and you know, it's hard. It's hard to win. It's hard to win when you're on that negative side of that. And so just outstanding, resolved by the entire team, the entire team, right? And Jalen being able to lead us down the field at the end. I mean,

if you take a look at that game at the end there, our offensive line was blocking their butts off at the end of that game, going down that field against a really, you know, we, I felt like we were in great shape throughout that. And those guys have worked really hard at that. Our receivers were getting open and Jalen was making big time throws and it was just a really good operation. And that allowed us to go down and win that game with nine seconds left. So, but great just resolved by everybody to be able to overcome, right? We drive down the field thinking about Jalen like just the mental toughness dog mentality. And we drive down the field at first, drive at the game. And then we throw an interception. And then the next drive, bam, we're right back at it. Another 15 play drive and answer and go seven seven, right? So, there was no panic on this team at any time. Nobody flinched. Nobody panicked. Now everybody just stayed in the moment and played until that game was, you know, nothing left on the scoreboard. And

so that's what you're excited about. What's the biggest change that you see in the way that Jalen hurts is playing this season coach? Yeah, obviously really early, still really early, but you know, it was awesome to have that drive to be able to go down and win on that drive with two minutes left to go. Minute 56 when we got the ball back and drive down and win that game. That was that was awesome. And you know, we've had, you know, I actually have a game playing in my office right now. And it's the Buffalo, it's Buffalo from 2023 where he did the same thing, right? And people forget that how many of these game winning drives he has. And the it was just awesome to have that in that moment to just the steadiness of the captain and quarterback of your football team. You know, I don't think there was anybody on that field on our sideline. It's like, man, we could lose this. I think we all are just like, we're going to win this thing.

And we knew we had, you know, we knew we had Jalen. You know, I know he felt that way. I know I felt that way. And he went, he went and did it. And and with with the help of his teammates. And it was, yeah, there it was, it was a good feeling. And I, and I loved how he just carried himself through that home moment. Nick Ciri, I need with us here. Of course, preparing for week three Eagles and Bears on Monday night. You know, Nick, the less disadvantage on the road thing. Or as it occasionally is, advantage on the road thing, which is just so unique that you and your team has experienced the last couple of years with so many thousands traveling to games. I'm curious, have opposing coaches and you got relationships with some of these guys. Do they ever say to you, like when you're hanging out with them at the Glaser, Glazer party, all that like Nick, you crowds killing us. I mean, you bring in a 10, 20, 30. In this case, 80% by the way of the crowd. Like, do they ever privately say to you, this is killing me?

They don't admit it. They won't tell it. They won't admit that. But I know I know how much helps that my goodness. That was awesome. It was a, what an atmosphere. And you knew sometimes you know, guys, sometimes you know when you get to the hotel or you're coming out of the hotel, like, oh my God, this is going to be, or you're driving to the game. And sometimes you just know, you know, it's just like, oh my gosh, this is going to be an Eagles. Yeah. They're going to be an Eagles fan base right here. And then you feel it in the game. But man, it is such an advantage. I would have to think, well, I would have to think it's a complete just like, like a gut punch when you're like, I got to practice crowd noise when I'm the home team. You know, I've been a part of that. I've been a part of that with, with, with chargers, you know, that there was plenty of times that happened. And that's, that's, that's not a good feeling. That's not a good feeling because you think to yourself, man, we have the advantage of the

noise. And as we know, guys, you know, you look for every advantage you can have in this game. Like you're, you're just constantly looking for little things that give you an edge. And the home, the home field advantage is something that gives you an edge. It just, it might, you know, it gives you an edge. It just does. And then to have that on the road when you're, you know, and have 14 home games instead of, instead of eight or nine. I mean, that's, that's pretty awesome. And so appreciative. Thank you to all the fans that, that traveled out to, to Nashville. And we're there to support us. It was felt. Your, your presence was felt. Your passion was felt. And we appreciate the crap, I guess. Coach, you're speaking of advantages for the offense the pre-snap motions and the bunch releases. How much are they helping your receivers get open this year? Yeah, it's, you know, we, I think we've done a nice job there of, of implementing

a lot of those things and, and doing different things with our cadence and all, all these different things. You know, it's obviously when you, when you get your man coverages and you're able to soften the coverage a little bit, there are, listen, there's routes, you know, I don't want to nerd out too much on receiver play, but there's routes where you, you want press man. You don't, you know, then there's routes where you don't want to, to press man. And then there's receivers that say, you know, give me this guy up, up, up on me right now. You've seen plenty of the clips of, you know, somebody's calling the corner to come up and press, come on, come up and press me. You know, because there's certain routes and certain players that want that. But yeah, and then there's a time for it to, to, you know, have some softness in it. And it just depends on the route, depends on the receiver, depends on the play concept. And, and yeah, every, all those things can be an advantage to us as we, as we look to implement plays into our system and,

and into our game plan. Nick, one thing I didn't get on, on Sunday and it worked out because you guys obviously won, but I just don't get the kick in the ball into the end zone with nine seconds left when the other team can get the ball in the 35 without having taken any time off the clock and has a time out where they can advance it near midfield and, and throw a bomb. I mean, do the analytics really say the team has a, the other team has a better chance to have a kick return for a touchdown than a hell knew who the, do you know who the, do you know who the first team all pro returner was last year? So that's the reason I got, okay. So it's, so it's that guy being that greatest. Okay. It was that guy. And that, and that's not to say that you don't do that, you know, you know, in that situation, you know, you, every, every game is called for something different. And you have rules that you go into it with, that's not an analytical thing. Yeah, that's a, me and our special teams coaches talking through it. Right. And so, and that's, that's a decision

that is made well before. You know, we have time thresholds on that won't get too much into that. I don't think that that benefits us to get into that. But every little scenario has a, has been thought out and thought through. And then this particular game with that guy on the other side line and our guys had done a good job up to, you know, up to that point of handling that, of handling that returner. But, you know, at that point, that's, that's what we decided to do. And give them that, then they get to place, right? They get to place to go, you know, however many of what we put at 35. So 65 yards. So that, you know, I don't want to get too much into the thought process there just for, for competitive reasons. But that's, I'll give you a little bit. And that's, and when that guy, and that returner had something to do with it. Coach, last one from me. How is the other side of the ball? How is the past rush grading out?

Yeah, you know, I think we've gotten some good pressure. You know, Cam Ward gets out of the one. Jaylicz comes pretty free off the edge. Uh, does a good job of being in his man comes free off the edge and he does a great job on his blind side that kind of dip and, and get through there. And then, you know, makes a play gets it down to the one. Um, you know, and so we've, I think we've missed some opportunities for sacks. And because I know, obviously we're all looking at, hey, how many times have you gotten the quarter back on the ground? That's what you're judged. Right. We understand that. But you're also, you know, that's where you're judged on the outside world. We understand that. But, you know, it's also about creating pressure, creating off schedule plays, you know, and, you know, creating misses there, on that. And so I feel like we've gotten some pretty good pressure. We just got to finish. You know, we just got to finish. Um, and obviously, too, there's, there's, there's plenty of you're like, man, this one, this one felt like it took a long time for us to get home. There's going to be those

as well. Um, and so we all have things that we got to get better at, you know, we want, you know, we all want it as fast as we possibly can. But it's a progression and every, every position, every coach is going through this progression, every team, um, you know, is going through a progression right now in the NFL that you're trying to play their best football by the end of the year. And I got a lot of faith in those guys and, and who they are and how they work, because there is no, there's no shortcut to it. The work is going to take the work. It's going to take the weekly, weekly grind. It takes what it takes. And, um, we, I know we got the right guys in there that have that mindset. Nick, good luck to you and your squad Monday night in Chicago. We look forward to the game. Good luck. All right. Thanks, guys. Thank you. Now, guy there is Eagle said coach Nick Siri on the, all right. Hey coach in the other squad Chicago bears would bend Johnson said about Caleb William status heading into Monday. We'll get to that audio and more. A lot of phone calls coming up in the nine o'clock hour. Jota Cameron, John Richie. It's 94. The weight is over.

They would, I don't love about the final week of the Philly season. They're playing teams really jockeying for position to do it the three best in baseball. James, I don't like that at all. Now, the raised thing could work out okay,

because the raised theoretically by the last three games of the season should have the one-seat locked-op. Oh, whoa, whoa. Overall one-seed if they face the Dodgers in the world series. Oh, you're great. Well, yeah, we're the Brewers. Yeah, you're right. They got the raised got a lot to play for. I wouldn't think about that. Yeah. Also, I'm more so that like if you're off for that three-game series, I don't think teams just mail-in lots or anyway, because they want to keep those guys going. Yeah. So these six games are important for the Phillies. They get their mojo back and to get rolling in the right direction, because they play well against these guys. Then I think that that creates a different sort of vibe. It does. It does. Put Rubin, my man. It takes one good quality series to get yourself going back. Yeah. I hear it, but I also just don't want to play the brace. I don't want it. I get it. I just, they got to play everybody, man. Well, not necessarily if other teams beat him. Dave's are not nearly as deep as you think as they're starting pitching.

Chris sale pitches game one. So that's big. That can, yes. That's a problem. It's a problem. 215-592-94-94. Let's listen to. Doesn't sound like the Eagles will face Ben will face Bob Caleb Williams this Monday night. Let's listen to two pieces of audio of Ben Johnson. Chicago's coach, arrogant coach, as he is. A little bit. A little bit. A lot of, real, a lot of bit. This guy's one of my least favorite people in sports. He's not very like, wow, that's, I mean, I don't like him much either. That's more than people. I told you last year, champs. Well, he seems like a good coach, but man, he's a horse's ass. Can you imagine the conversation we would have here if they went from what is it? 59 points or 56 points for us? 59. Hey, you know what? And people think, you know, people got to know he got injured in the fourth quarter. Sure. This was not like, this was not like Dixon. They are average in 31 points. They are. Let's listen Ben Johnson on Caleb Williams status. And I know we're anxious to get going here to the Eagles. I know everyone's going to ask about Caleb. We're saying week to week

with him right now. We'll see where he's at as the week progresses and, you know, how long that means. But, you know, it's, it's was somewhat encouraging the report that we got. I'm glad for football that he's not out for the year. But obviously week to week, man, he's not planning against the Eagles Monday. Let's listen to more of Ben Johnson as the conversation continued. Hey, Ben, just to clarify, will Caleb practice this week? I think I don't believe he will. So are you ruling him out now for week three? Are you saying that there's still a chance towards you? I did not do that. No. That's a great follow up question. They probably took her a second. Yeah. What probably means he's not playing. I got to ask room for someone who did press conferences on the regular. It's got to be irritating to be questioned. Not really. Come on. Says the sarcastic. X, yeah. Yeah. I mean, some of them are annoying. Yeah. I mean, those are reasonable questions. I'm not ripping those reporters all on the job. They do their jobs. It's their job.

It's just got to be annoying to be poked and prodded as much. Tell you what, Siri, I need a good answer on the kick return scenario. Oh, yeah. He was. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I considered that possibility. But he's saying that guy's so good that essentially, why would you risk it? Well, that why would you risk it? Well, there is a why. I mean, I still think giving a team a team of chances for a hell of a measure. They're a measure. The point is he's like, I trust that guy. Better than I trust. Cam wore the offense to score to go that far in a couple of ways. Correct. Absolutely. He was ready for you. That's why. So it's also why you don't pitch to certain guys. Certain situations. Of course. Like Barry bonds on the bases are loaded. All right, let's talk to Ed and Phoenixville. Good morning, Ed. Morning, guys. What's up, Ed? Hold on, hold on. Let me get you on a bed. We'll get you on a better phone. And then you'll get yourself on a bare phone. That sounded like a Jackson's car. Yeah. That was no good.

No good. Geno Northeast Philly. Hi, Geno. Morning, guys. How you feeling this morning? Doing well, Geno. Yeah, I was down in Nashville, Joe. It was incredible. I've been like Jimmy. I've been on quite a few of these trips. And I've never seen out many Eagles fans. It was absolutely incredible. Wow. So was it 80% like we've heard? I thought it was more than that. If I'm being honest, it was really good. I'm not saying for Nash. I put it this way. I said the Jimmy. I didn't see you down there. But at the same time, one of my friends who I went on the trip with, I didn't see the entire time. So like there was like so many of us that went on the trip. There was people that I went on the trip with that I didn't see. You know what I mean? Because there were so many of us there. And everyone just kept getting separated because there were so many Eagles fans there. It was absolutely incredible. Awesome. So beautiful. And Joe, by the way, real quick, Joe, you know, just because I, you know, we do this a great lot. I want to tell you, I cannot stand Ben Johnson.

I mean, the guy is just a genius. The guy's a genius. Just they ask him to help tell you. So, you know, I just can't stand people like that. But anyway, let's talk about, let's talk about Jaylin. So Jaylin has been absolutely phenomenal for first two weeks. And me and Joe, we've had our battles about Jaylin. You know that. You know that. I have noticed. I have noticed. But, but Joe, I give you credit. I do give you credit that unlike some people, you give him credit. You do get you're not afraid to give him credit. Of course. What's annoying me this morning and yesterday is whether it's the callers, you know, host, I won't say names, national media. And a lot of mostly it's a lot of these callers. The people that call every show every day. I want to cross Jaylin. I haven't heard from any of them. Wow. It's like, this temple, they just refuse to ever give them a dance. I'm not saying all people, Joe. But there

is a portion. And me and we are hit right on the head. It's like a nastyness. It's like a personal thing with them. And I see it in the chat on YouTube. There's somebody's guys and they've literally said it. Like I've heard people say I'd rather lose than have been win with Jaylin. Heart start quarterback. You're not a real fan. Insane. You know, why you as an eagle fan, in fact, I tell you, well, yeah, well, that, yeah, that would appear to be personal. I don't get that. I've told you, Gino, nothing would make me happier other than the Eagles winning the cerebral than like being proven wrong. And I'll say it. You know, so, and it's too early for me to give you a sweeping declaration, but so far, so great. And I'm extremely encouraged with what I've seen so far. I at least appreciate that you know, like I still think that you were wrong on something you said in the past. I appreciate the fact, Joe, that you're willing to, you know, say what you think, like, like just like how I love Jaylin, but I'm willing to say like the first past that was the first interception was an absolutely atrocious past. There's absolutely nothing

wrong with saying that. You know what I mean? Like there's there's given take with everything. And what really, really bothers me is the people that just won't give this guy an answer credit. It's it's just ridiculous. Like the guy, the guy I put an Eagles fan my entire life and all I ever wanted us to do was like being a consistent winner. And we've consistently won with this guy. We've been to Super Bowl and you have people still hate him. It's just I don't understand it, Joe. I just don't. Grudges of all the things in Philly sports. It is one of the strangest things we've seen. I would get if we had the Sean Watson. Yeah. Like why you would not like him. Right. I don't that's my whole thing is the and I'm with you the personal nature of it. There's a personal nastiness directed by the people who don't like him that I don't understand. Hi, Gino. Give me a great answer for the best television episode of all time. So like you, Joe, again, I'm going to give you credit here. I you know, I think it's unfair when people take when people give you give you a hard time that you like the same like four or five shows

and you watch them over over and over again. Yeah. Because I'm the same. So my favorite show of all time, I was used to wire. And I think I think the greatest episode of the wire is season three episode 11. It's called. And that's the one where stringer bell gets killed by Omar and brother Mizzone at the end. So let me ask you this. Is that the same episode or was it one or two earlier when stringering Ava and have the remo moment out on the balcony? Yeah. It's kind of sick. It's amazing. I didn't take it. It's like the end of the bar. Yeah. Take it at the top of the show. Because I wanted to leave it out there. Huge, huge. One disappointment is I look, season four is still really good. But I did think they were lacking something without string. Oh, so I thought I think season four is the best season the show personally. I think the kids is the best thing I go one or three then four then two then five. I go four three one two five. I rub you had a big old event yesterday. Tell us. Yeah. Because I know your your family's foundation,

your father's honor. Talk to us. Ruben senior dot org that folks at elevate construction. They are absolutely phenomenal human beings. And they have supported us for the last three years. Just randomly not so much randomly, but more so just because of the friendship that my brother has built with with many of them. Who should have their bacteria and Jeff P. Track were the guys that elevate who are just phenomenal. The people that we had there is celebrities. Tom McCarthy, Ben Davis, Mickey Moore and Dany Tommy Green, Kevin Stalker, Chris Wheeler, Amy Fadoul, Ashlyn Sullivan, John Cruck and G and Greg Gross joined us. Good. And it was just really nice for them to participate one, but Bluebell Country Club really great, great track. I mean, it was beautiful there. They handled things really well. But you know, my dad has always been big on

just giving everybody an opportunity to play baseball. And in this day and age when, you know, some people are not are sort of underserved and don't have the means to play. It's really expensive for, you know, people to be seen and to get their opportunity, maybe to have an higher education, get to go to college, whatever the case may be. And for softball players, baseball players in the region, we we like to be able to subsidize that ability to do that. So that's what it's all about. That's what our foundations about. And my brother David and myself obviously founded it and in my dad's honor and for elevate to support that or for the celebrities to do so as well, it's really, really fortunate for us. Well, congrats to you, Rubin. I appreciate that. That's all really well. It's fun. Awesome stuff. Yeah. Also awesome is how Jalen has played so far this year. You know, I think a lot of people don't even know they have not even created a turnover defensively. So they got three. You know, when I talk about the advantages Jalen's had in the past, I'm not always talking about just offense. The whole team has been a lot of advantages this year,

not at all. Defenses three sacks, one and a half a game, not good. Zero turnovers created defensively. And you know what's going wrong offensively. I mean, the line stunk, Sequan missed essentially a game, got it missed essentially a game. I mean, the first round picks doing almost almost nothing. Second round picks doing literally nothing. So a lot has fallen on Jalen's shoulders and he has really answered the bell. Let's listen to Ray Diddy talking to us yesterday. He talked about how he liked it. Siri on he said that to the game that Jalen's great at being in the moment. And then Ray said this, you know, he gets the ball back with 156 to go. No timeouts, no barkley, no gotter. The offensive line's been bad all day. And he's and he's got to drive at 65 yards to save the day. And at that moment, he's not thinking about the interception in the first half. And he's not thinking about the interception through earlier in the fourth quarter. He's just thinking about 65 yards to go win the game. And I mean, it's easy to say that, but not every quarter

back can do that. That can put all that stuff behind and just say, okay, let's just play this into here and now. We got the ball. We got one last possession. Let's go down to win the game. And if a guy really feels that and that's how he approaches it and he's able to transmit that to the other 10 guys in the huddle, that's what you need to win in those games. And that's what this guy's got. Certainly, certainly displayed it the other day. Let's listen to Nick Falls. We go from the first quarter back to win a Super Bowl, talking about the second Eagles quarterback to win a Super Bowl. Here's Falls on Hertz's evolving game. Defences and NFL do not want to see this evolution from Jalen Hertz. Yeah. This is the one thing where they're like, oh, geez, that's the one thing that we were counting on him. Not getting to that second or third read. And then if that first one's taken, he's got to run around and we're going to get more hits on him or we'll keep in the pocket. But those are huge. Tell you this, watching the first two games, it's the first time that he's reminded. I believe Donovan's been the best Eagles quarterback. But you know, there's the baitable things of it. It's the first time he's reminded me of Donovan from the standpoint

of scanning the field and getting to two, three, four. I don't know how long he's gotten to four, he's getting deeper in the progressions more than he typically was. And happening on third down, that's what's been really impressive about it. Tucker Bagley posted these numbers. So first down, 2.9. That's 30 second. Okay. No, I want to say this again. 2.9. What? 2.9 yards per play. I'm sorry, yards per play. 30 seconds. Second down. 4.9. One third down. Yeah. 9.3, which is first in the league. Yeah. Well, they had some heavy because because he's a huge conversion. He was going without running game. Yeah. Exactly. I mean, then you have to go to your third and fourth progression. Yeah. The old line is letting the team down, setting us up for failure. I mean, he the old line, the way that they're playing is setting Jalen up for failure. Not only because they're not protecting him, I think, a lot of the time. But because the run game on first down, early downs, it's just been failing. Well, let's write up. I think what's been most amazing about Jalen, the biggest difference for me is how rhythmic he's become. It is like clockwork. You know,

the even under center, we knew he was going to be under center more. We didn't know how amazingly precise he was going to be with the 1 2 3 4 5, the balls out. You know, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7, the balls out. 1 2 3 4 5 in a hitch. The ball is out. He's not holding that ball. And that was probably my greatest fear, Jalen, and holding the ball. It makes such a huge difference. We've seen it. We've been frustrated by it when our defense has played quarterbacks like Brock Purdy, who are 1 2 3 balls out. 1 2 3 4 5 balls out. It sucks. It's it's frustrating. It really does wear on a defense. Now, our quarterback is not only going to run around people, run by people, open up the run game for backs when our offensive line starts to block better, but he's also going to frustrate people with his ability to just deliver the ball on time. And if it's not there, throw it away. That's that's that's a new

wrinkle to his game. And you know, we don't talk about it a ton, but that's also a subset of keeping a quarterback healthy. No doubt. I mean, it's an important part of a guy. I mean, look at Marino. He didn't have many injuries. And you mean part of his, you just got to get the ball out. Eli Mani got it. No, I thought Eli Mani sometimes got it out to like, I thought he like should have stayed in the pocket more sometimes and just stand and delivered. Sometimes he would just like chuck the ball away or or fall down and take the sack. I guess remember James. They were like fall. He would take a, he would take a light sack instead of like standing in delivery. And I think that's part of how Eli had that string of starts, but it's also part of why he had an average, like literally, Ruben, do you know, Eli Mani's record for his career was literally 500? Yeah. I'm not a lover. I was never a very, very big fan. He's faced in like it, but he's one. Yeah, but I don't, I don't like his, I didn't tell you what, Hammer's not put him in the hall. He's a voter, which I'm not by the way, but they're going to put him in though. Aren't

that have to voters just got whacked? Wait a minute. It's crazy. Time out. Eli's a definite. No, what? No, it's not, but I said there, I think they're going to. I think they will put him in twice. Well, look at it. You beat the, beat the Patriot. It is a tremendous achievement. I mean, you went too sure of all. It is, but my goodness, the body of his work. I'm just telling you, a lot of people think it's going to make he would go. I don't want to disperse guys. He's a champion. I get it, but the defense would set him up for excellence. They're defensive line. They didn't have the blitz. And then they'd go and win a Super Bowl. And then the following year, he would lead the NFL in interceptions. I think he did it both times. That's my point. I think you have five interceptions. How do you, how do you become a whole, a favor of you leading the, the last name doesn't hurt. Ruben, I'm just, I mean, I'm telling you, like, like he's going to get massive consideration. He'll probably make seniors not in the Hall of Fame. Now, well, that's because he's senior. Look at you. If you see me, I'll say it's stuck out of my took us every once in a while. That comes.

What does that have to do with anything? You want to have a game for David Bell because of Buddy Bell or I mean, could I say Jim Plunkett, who has two Super Bowl, and sets a much more, you know, yeah, Buddy Bell wasn't a whole thing. Was it was gospel Hall of Famer? It was. Pretty good player. Yes, Bell. David. All right. Twitter poll question the day. Let's round it out on the line. Brought to us by Armin Chevrolet gas prices, maybe killing your budget. Visit armandchevy.com to see the huge savings on every Armin Chevy EV in stock. Visit armandchevy.com. So I don't know that everyone interpreted the poll question quite the way I intended it, which is essentially like, what do we really have with this line? Not so much what they've been through two games, but what do we have for what this season will be? John, that's how I intended it. The literal question was fill in the blank. The Eagles offense line is the four choices. John were good average below average and bad. What do you think one this poll? Below average. It does. So 42% there.

36% say average. Oh, really? That's. So then people must have interpreted that way because there's not a single person who could say they've been average or good if good. Got votes. You know what I mean? They might get to average. I mean, they know my point is I think people interpret it the way you wanted them to. Yeah, I say bad. 17% say bad. 5% say good. John, which do you think when this season is done, which do you think is more likely, John, that they will be considered good or bad? I expect them to continue to evolve and improve. So we're going to go in that direction. The positive direction. I don't know, man. I've seen it every year. This takes some time. And now with the rearrangement right away, it's going to take a little bit more time. And I'm willing to wait it out. We don't have any other choice here. But there is think they're going to be better. But I'll say this. I think this is like, I think what I'm about to say is likely.

Dickerson is likely to never be as good as he used to be. Jurgens might not ever be as good as used to be. And lame almost definitely is not good as he used to be. Why is everyone because he's getting flagged for all these part of it? Jurgens is not playing poorly. Well, I hear this all the time. Well, he didn't play as good last year. Jurgens sucks. Well, Jurgens play as good last year as 24. He did. It wasn't even close. It last year, he was in South America, like just prior to the season getting fixed. You're a big like your soul believer in Jurgens. Yes. Well, say I'm not why because he didn't play as well last year as 24. He was hurt to the point where he had to go to South America. Like doesn't that tell you it's pretty serious? Yeah. Well, that's my point. He was that's just prior to the season. He was banged up before the season even started. And then he tried to play with it. I got to give him the benefit of the doubt there. Maybe I do not understand why everyone is so up in arms with cam Jurgens. It's not cam Jurgens.

It's the newness. It's it's a lot of other factors. He's playing all right. I mean, can he play better? Yeah. No doubt about it. And you know, I do think he's really athletic and he was making amazing. He was doing a great job at communicating, getting the calls right that kind of thing. Now, I don't think that's his job any longer. What's not? So I hope Drew Kendall is as good at making those calls as cam Jurgens was. But cam has not played poorly. He's just been flagged a few times. Average or above average so far. No one on that line has been better than average. Okay. For what it's worth, Elliott made this point on Twitter. Cam Jurgens has never played right guard. He played left guard last time. So he's never played that position before and during the week they made this switch late. So at least from the guard position, I do think, you know, it's early to make a time. Yeah. Yeah. Let's talk to Chuck and Cherry Hill. It's going on Chuck.

Thank you. Good morning. Great show. Great show. Great review. All good points. Want to get the baseball ball. But first on the hurts. You know, it just seems like there's an inherent bias against this guy by some, not the majority probably. And it will never change your girls and what he does at a pretty young age. He takes the two Super Bowl one MVP could have been to whatever 71% in Super Bowl past the completion. I mean, the guy's been in my opinion sensational. But you're not going to convince everybody. I got a text right after the game. I was glowing about hurts and the text was what we would have been there if it didn't throw two pecs. Oh man. Let's let's let's let's do it. It's true though. Well, it is true. It is true. That look to me. There were three there were three reasons. There are three reasons that was the close game. The two interceptions, the defense not creating a turnover and the offense and line play. I mean, that is true. But I'll tell you Chuck, other than those two plays, and I know

Seth and John both thought the second interception wasn't much his fault. Lime was giving in. It was the line, but it was also a crazy coverage. It was the the slot defender. Tried to drop it back and cutting his coverage, changing trajectory essentially to go just, I don't read his eyes and go get that, but that was it was a great job by the nickel. I mean, Chuck, here's my point. We've seen the Eagles offense and I don't know the exact number, but probably have 120 plays so far this year, 130. I'm not going to like crush, jail and season based on two plays. Like I think for the vast majority of the time he's had the ball this year, he has done really fricking good things. Well, nothing mentioned, Joe, we have an answer to that. So when you get the pushback one and two picks, I, I answer with this for his career, his interception ratio is less than Josh Allen, the homes and the guy in back end. Well, not just that, just just about just about anybody ever. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's just facial. And when it's

started 12 and there's other guys I just mentioned are trapped. Purchase the guy you know, can scramble pick up that first hand and brace your back because you can't contain the guy, you know, Josh Allen can do that. So what he does, there's always going to be a bias. I haven't seen a change yet. Joe, you've come on board a little bit, but if two super balls and what he's been doing so far was that that's not going to change people, you know, stay to it. As far as the fillies go, you know, underwhelming is the word. And when you look at their offensive production here, here you go. This, this is startling. The last four seasons prior, the team, oh, we're forget pitching. That's a whole super thing. It's sensational too. But just the over averages 22, just Adam up straight down, real simple math. This year, the team war is 5.6. Whoa, 22 to 5.6. Yeah, you got two players with good numbers. Yeah, Schorberent and and and and harp. Everybody else is below two on the war. You got four guys that are negative work. Turner's a 300 million dollar

negative war player. That's horrible. So run production drops 100 about this extra base hits, drop 80. Now can't drop 80 162 games. Can extra base hits drop 80? Yeah, what about needs OPS plus is last at baseball. Oh, look at that baseball reference. They're last in baseball in OPS plus. So yeah, there's your offense. Should I be called OPS minus then? So dorky. So dorky. That's incredible. That's awesome. Yeah, it's horrible. I mean, hold on. I'm not I'm not up on all the acronyms. I know OPS is a great, you know, a great sign of how well of a hitter is doing, right? OPS plus. Right. What is what is the part of the ballpark? Yeah, taking to the ballpark down, John. So what you have to do? And what's compared to the rest of the place? Yeah, exactly. We're open. Yeah, Ruben's guy says so if you played everybody in the same ballpark

then OPS is very equitable. Once you start changing ballpark dimensions, you gotta call a run of air. Now the baseball swork I said, let's adjust it. So the fillies are considered a favorable stadium to this right park. And they're last in baseball. OPS plus playing at the bank. It can't be. Oh, it is. So so overwhelming. Off the delete. Yeah, it's good word. Good word. Take your guess. Take your honor. You know, anyway, guys, that was great day. All right, Chuck. Appreciate the phone call coming up next. Times yours and more calls on 94 WIP. Times yours is brought to us by Xfinity proud sponsor of WIP's Xfinity Mobile Lounge makes you watch all of your favorite teams all in one place. Xfinity. Imagine that. Let's hit it with time. A win is a win. But let's put one thing right out there right now. We don't have one of the best offensive lines in football or offensive lines is mediocre at best. And this is not from one or two games. This is going back all last season. They have been played well since 2024. They're mediocre. Yeah, I mean hard to handle, but it's yeah, painful, but maybe true.

Joey's team is the first one in a long time where they weren't able to get a majority of the fans to buy back in. We're sticking higher to being a fool by this consistently inconsistent team that has no shot of winning the World Series. I guess going eight per twenty two against the top where at L-Feen's that you're going to be facing the playoffs this year will actually help the fan's case for this one. Well, they do have a shot, but they're very frustrated. Jalen Hertz is the best quarterback in franchise history. Write it down, believe it. He may not be my favorite. Randall is probably my favorite because he bought his back from a security, but I'm talking about North and Vane Brockland. All the old guys. Jalen Hertz is the best. Appreciate him. My two FTS is question. James, do we know of that gentleman? Saul Tommy Thompson. No, if I would guess he didn't. Back to back champ Tommy Thompson. Ruben, are you aware of Tommy Thompson legally blind than one eye and one two champion chips is the Eagles quarterback. Yes. You know, I was legally blind, but not as an adult. That was as a kid,

right? Then they got fixed. This guy was out there slinging the ball around. You know what I mean by slinging the ball around? Handed it off to Steve Ambjorn. I was out to see how it's taken quite bad. And the opposite of why it has been terrible, but why do I see on my running game look a little more familiar with what he wasn't in there? I just had a little bit more first to the whole even shipply, but like he was moving a little quicker. Look comparing them to Sequon. Yeah, but Shipply deserves credit for bouncing back a bit. I thought I'd definitely had some nice blocks past protection. What missed a couple blocks, John too. He would badly on one that was that like literally almost got the jail and kill. It's really hard. It's a hard job. I believe it. And with that, times yours, we cut it down. The Times Yours line. Leave Joe and John a message of your thoughts, compliments and complaints. Call to 15238 4500. I do admit it, but I missed on many a pass for text. Really? I'm sure. I think people just didn't pay attention to what I was doing because it was like,

well, I was the least like the least exciting person to watch. And I will say Shipply had the biggest block on the last play. So I was awesome. And John, film studies such a bigger part than when you played. I mean, it's it's way bigger in society that the NFL releases that information now. Oh, I guess you're right. Oh, that never used to be released. So yeah, we couldn't even watch the game. You know, for sure. But people say it's not was it. I'm saying, oh, yeah, yeah. That's my point. I'm agreeing with you. I'm saying like now we can watch every play. People watch it. Oh, look at that. It's on Twitter. And you're like, Oh, look at the missplot. Now everyone has back then you watch the game. You saw what you saw. And you got to mind it. We have access to the goal that the end zone and the the sideline tape, just like the players do. And so yeah, people can see how bad it can get. It's it's so difficult when you've got anyone blitzing, even linebackers who don't have like a good bunch of moves. Yeah, they're at the advantage. Like you have to try to match them. They know what they're doing where they're going. And if you if you try to stay a little light on your feet to adjust, they'll run you right over which we saw in week one. Yeah, Zikwan got blasted across the most embarrassing thing that can happen

to a running. All right, let's go to Ed in Phoenixville. Ed, do me a favor. Keep it kind of tight. Then we're going to get to turn it to good morning. Hey, good morning guys. So I agreed that the offensive line hasn't been great, but John, I do believe the path blocking got better in the second game. If you look at he was technically sacked three times, but John or the two detail was like a one yard loss in the teary yard loss. Pretty clean pocket, but he was flushed and had to run out of bounds. Probably could have got rid of the ball, but yeah, the one where we had that blitz confusion on that stunt, I believe it was a will chiply mistake. He probably should have shipped that guy, but all long story short, like I often just a bonus. A chip is just a bonus. It's not part of the the protection itself though. I thought it was amazing that we're now chipping to Lane Johnson's side. I think that is not worthy. I had we got to turn to and we got to turn to my man when you get a lot of calls near best TV

episode of all time, which one is it? When they found the wire for big push and all the dream sequences and at the end of season two, did you say the wire? You mean the surprise? No, the wire for big pussy. He said when they found the wire on big on when they got it, got it, got it, got it, got it, got it. Yep. So when they killed him, is that what he's saying? Yeah, this last episode of season two. Okay. All right. Gary and Vinyl and Gary talked to me. Give me an episode real quick. What do you got? Real quick. Let's just hope that Doug Collins is keeping Caleb in his prayers. Okay. So since you said this question, I've been thinking good, loving all morning and I'm smiling. The atomic Shakespeare episode of moonlighting, which wasn't one time the most expensive episode on TV. Yeah, I got to get back to moonlighting, man. All right. Moonlighting. Always going to get me an episode. What do you got? I got the, um, the reigns of Kazmir, the red wedding at the Game of Thrones. That's a huge answer. Red weddings, a huge answer. Walt, what do you got? Crush me.

Oh, that guy took mine. So I guess that will go sign filled the marine analogous. You got it. All right. So look, the big ones we got, we got the red wedding. We've got the wire when stringer gets killed and everything leading up to that. We got the end of season two of the sopranos. We got fresh prints when Will Smith mad at his dad. We got the last episode in New Heart. We got sign filled the contest. We got the sopranos, pine barons, the Russian, all that. We also got the return of Diana Cheers. Good job by the audience. Yeah. Great job. I'm saying the contest. So it's between that and the wire episode for me. I was going to go to the wire, but I would pivot to sign vote as my second choice if it plays out that way. But you guys tell me what do you think? What are you guys doing? Reigns of Kazmir, man. Okay. Hold on. So, Rhea, your pine barons? Yes. Okay. John, you are the red wedding red wedding. Okay. You're moving. You have the red wedding. I mean, are you being outside as brutal? Because doesn't she show up? I think she, I think she shows up and is outside

that I believe she's trying to reunite with her family. I think. All right. So we got two red weddings. We got sign filled and we got pine barons. Pine barons, James, I need an answer. I never saw the game of thrones. So I can't. So I mean, I have region. I was going to go with the wire. So I'll stick with it and then red wedding wins. Red wedding wins at the buzzer. Wow. JP coming in at the buzzer with the red wedding. All right. Wonderful answers all around JP. You have one weasered tickets. We'll give away more weasered tickets later in the week.
