tryna find your way.
OK, now, before we get to our little high noon, before we get to our dual Bart it is the start of the third hour of this program.
And I don't have to remind you what that means right?
Not at all!
I'm looking on my board for the Tom one.
Look at on my board for the Tom one.
I need to hear the Tom one again.
Tom the Salah, he need a pro-losses after that.
You have, where is that, that's not on the board.
Yeah, I bird it in the vault if you want.
Do you really want me to tell you?
That should always be on the page.
That should be like, never delete.
It's in the arcades.
Like 50 years from now or 100 years from now
and it's like the cockroaches,
like it should be the cockroaches
and you trying to do the power hour.
All right, here you go.
It's the power hour.
Hour hour.
It does bring a smile to my face, always.
I'm glad I couldn't at least do that for you, always.
And you know what else brings a smile to my face?
I got to be honest with you.
What's that?
The high noon.
It's high noon.
My name is Sam Chisholm.
I'm a duly swung war in office
of the search court in Wichita, Kansas.
Wonderful.
All right.
Let's go right into the high noon.
Fight.
Fight how many games will Geno Smith start for the Jets this season?
Mr. Dan Grasse.
Wow.
So how many games will Geno Smith start for the Jets this season?
All right, we're basing this on a 17 game model.
That's we're basing it on.
That's correct.
No more games we're going to play.
No more 16 game models.
No more 16 games.
And we're not even going to leave little flexibility
for potentially extra games in the postseason.
We'll let that come naturally.
So out of 17 games.
I will say Geno will start a total of 15 games.
15.
15.
15 games because I'll explain 15 games.
And then you're going to look.
You're going to get to a point in the season where all right,
the playoffs are at a reach.
They are going to bring a young quarterback in here at some point in the draft.
And they're going to want to take a little bit of a look and see what he can do.
And he's going to get a couple of games to show what he can.
Don't say 15.
No, I'm going all 17 as the Jets are still in it late in the season
to push for a for a playoff wild card spot.
Wow.
I think a lot of that for.
I think a lot of change this.
I think it'd be right there.
And like we'll be somewhere during the season where we're like seven
and seven or something like that.
And you know, somebody with nine wins get in in a wild card
because other teams are bad and some quarterbacks don't get hurt.
And Geno's just going to be there.
From your lips to God's ears, my friend.
If that's the case.
Hey, Aaron Rogers played all 17 a couple of years ago.
Anything's possible.
Yeah.
And Geno's not, he's not super reckless with putting himself in harm's way.
He'll go down when it's time to go down.
I think this offensive line and the ball becoming his hands will fast.
You know, I have to worry about it.
Hey, nothing would make me happier to be totally honest with you.
But we'll see.
17 and 15.
Either way, I think that that's an upgrade from what you got last year.
That's for sure.
Uh, numeral dose.
Tom.
Round two.
Fight.
Better free agency so far.
Giants or jets.
Artifiest Edward Scott.
Come on, man.
Yeah.
I think, uh, to me, I mean, yes, they got the quarterback.
But then a tougher division.
You know, my opinion, even though now people will say that.
I think New England's going to have a pay a major market reset.
Right.
I don't think they were good.
It's a record suggests.
I think they had a giant from a couple years ago.
That one 10 wins.
You know what I'm saying?
So I don't, I think, um, I'm going jets, man.
Really?
No, I'm not.
I'm going giant.
Equipment.
So the giants have had the better free agent class than the jets.
So far.
That was a question.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, because, yeah, because they got the more quality people.
They got the pieces that they need it.
But I think the jets are going to have a better draft.
So I think that's going to tip it back to the jets favor.
Because the jets have so many so much draft equity that had to change so far.
But so far, you got to say, Isaiah likely in patch record.
They got pro well caliber players, you know, you know, right and left.
You know, we got some guys that we're hoping that they have potential.
Were you kind of confused by the initial answer, Tom?
Because he started like talking, Bart started talking about like the Patriots and stuff like that.
I don't know what that is.
I thought he was going jets 100%.
Yeah, I wasn't sure about that one.
So you put your going jets.
That's your answer.
No, I'm going giant, but I'm going to go jet when the draft come.
Oh, I got you.
You know what I'm saying?
Because we're going to get four good players that the giants, they're going to get one.
So we're going to say when we look at the totality of like, man, look at who they're adding.
Who's because Mika's right there balling.
So Mika is kind of not, he's likely, but he's not.
He's older.
But you know, they lost fly.
Yeah, I'd probably have to agree with you on that one.
You know, like you said, just in terms of proven commodities and the fact that you have the head coach
who knows these guys on a firsthand basis, I think that you're going to be able to get the best football out of them, the best production.
And oh, by the way, you mentioned the draft.
You see the reports that are coming out here.
I saw someone earlier today that there are a lot of folks in and around NFL circles,
like general managers and so on and so forth.
That the going trend is is that teams are doing all they can to stockpile draft picks for 2027.
And to load up on that draft next year.
And it just got three first rounders next year.
Right.
And if they move back, they can mess around and get another number two.
They move back from 16, move down.
Somebody going to get next year's two.
Or they might get next year's one.
And then this year's two.
If they think they got somebody they can get.
Now, Mooji will probably trade like a veteran in October and end up getting like a future first round pick for somebody.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Those are Jamie and Sherwood for like a two year rounder.
To Salah.
To Salah.
Exactly.
Number three, Thomas.
Round three.
Fight.
Will you be tuned into the Oscars this weekend?
Yeah, just because we want to see if Michael B. Jordan is going to win for centers.
He's he's swept a lot of the stuff.
So we're going to see if he's going to keep it going.
On ABC, by the way.
On Sunday night.
Now, how many how many of these movies have you seen that are up for these awards?
Because that's always the tricky part.
I don't know what's all I look for.
Well, did I mean, did you see centers?
Because that's his movie.
Yes, of course.
Okay, so centers.
Do you like centers?
I did.
I mean, to me, I think it was a African American interpretation or impersonation of Dustin Don.
The old vampire movie or whatever?
Yes, exactly what it is.
Dude, you must have seen it.
I'm not seeing it yet.
But it is like a vampire element.
I've heard that.
I have it on.
Yeah.
It's it's a great movie, man.
But it's just a lot of symbolism in it.
You understand what you see.
But yeah, he said he was inspired.
Cooler.
Say he was inspired by Quentin Tarotino.
Dustin Don.
It's exactly.
That was a hit.
That was there when him and George Clooney, right?
Yeah.
Dustin Don.
Yeah.
Yes.
Oh, my God.
Yes.
I have not seen it.
It's on my DVR.
I'm going to watch it soon.
And also the other movie.
The other movie.
The other big one is that one battle after another.
The one with Leonardo DiCaprio.
Have you seen that one?
What's that?
It's not a battle after another.
It's called that has Leonardo DiCaprio.
No, I haven't seen that one.
Paul Thomas Anderson movie.
There's more.
You supreme.
Marty Supreme is another one, right?
With Chalamet.
That's another good one they say.
Those are three of the movies that are up for the best picture award.
So I haven't seen any of them yet.
You know, which one?
Believe it or not.
I watched it was.
It's not a for best picture.
I think like maybe the acting one is.
Tom, do a time.
Who are you?
Beautiful.
Oh, you know, I guess I'd go either sinners or Marty Supreme.
Yeah.
Chalamet being the next boy himself and, you know, sinners.
I wish I seen it.
I really wanted to.
You should watch it.
Everything that everybody said about it is that it's been.
It's a phenomenal.
It's super dope, man.
It's like it's super intriguing and keep you going, man.
I think you would like to enjoy the light.
But you see that?
You're going to stream it now.
Yeah.
I would be drawing plays two people.
We play this twin.
Did you see that in the theater or no?
Yeah, of course.
Really?
You go to the theater still.
I love the theater.
I love the whole process of popcorn, nachos, and candy and all that stuff.
So you drop like 50 bucks at the snack stand at the movies?
Because that's what it costs you nowadays to have some of that stuff.
Yeah.
You'd be like $100.
That's what I know.
Me and my kids.
And the tickets, the tickets alone now are like 20 bucks, right?
Yeah.
Tickets 20 and the food.
And then they do this thing where certain combos, but they don't come with drinks.
And then you got to get like, man, come on, man.
Yeah.
I'm going to see if I get...
I'm going to try to knock a couple of those out before the ceremony on Sunday.
But I don't know if I can because I got a lot of stuff to do here.
But you know, yeah, here's the movie.
I saw you.
Don't ask me how we stumbled on this.
If I had legs, I'd kick you.
That's a name of a movie.
That's a name of a movie.
And the actress Rose Burns.
She's up for the best actress or whatever.
Sounds like a doctor.
It was a weird movie.
Like very...
It was a weird movie, but I guess her performance is up for the best actress.
That was uncable, and I think we watched that.
It was okay, but it wasn't like, you know, anything great where it's like, oh my god, I'm going to tell you to go watch it or anything.
It was okay.
You know, but that's all I've seen.
But will I watch the show?
Yeah, I'll watch the show, but...
What do we got on Sunday night?
Sunday night we got Nick's Warriors, right?
Without Steph.
Steph's not playing.
Like, at some point, we have to start having a conversation, man.
It's like, what are we going to do about Steph?
And making sure he goes out the way he's supposed to with a chance to win a championship.
Do they trade Steph?
Or, like, they can't make any big trades.
I know the Jimmy Brothers thing, but that stuff didn't work out.
How about if you're Steph?
The better question is, would he even want to go anyplace else?
You know what I mean?
Like, they've won so much.
Like, I don't think he needs...
Like, if he didn't have a championship yet, you know,
he's going to go someplace to maybe try to win that ring.
But he got what?
He got four of them already, right?
Like...
Yeah, yeah.
He's content probably just like not having an uprooter or anything like that.
And he'll ride this thing out.
I don't know, man.
Like, at some point, like, he's a competitor.
He has to say, I want to try and get one.
I don't know.
So we got...
So Sunday night he got Nick's Warriors up against the Oscars,
because that's a Sunday night game on NBC.
We'll have it right here on our station.
World baseball classic, right?
Tom, if the United States wins tomorrow, they play Sunday?
I believe that's how it works.
And that's a Sunday night vehicle, too, right?
Yes.
And they would either get career or the Dominican Republic.
So standby.
So that could also be a Sunday up against the Oscars.
That would be an eight o'clock on FS...
Yep.
So think about it.
You would have all those things up against the awards at the same time.
That's called Need Multiple Screens.
That's what you need.
Picture picture.
You used to be able to go picture-picture.
I still have a picture picture in one of my screens.
You see how the TV would pitch a picture?
We'd get my giant wide flat screen.
Yeah.
Believe it or not, on one of them I could still get the PIP.
I get two good screens.
But it's not like the second screen isn't one of those tiny ones either.
It's literally I just split my screen in half.
It's pretty cool.
Half of the day's going in there.
He's got a little one in there.
He's had a little one.
Yeah, that...
No, that's...
I'm not talking about like the original PIP where you have the tiny screen.
Yeah, that's a very little one.
Yeah.
No, this is...
I call it PIP.
It just happened half.
So it's basically like you had two TVs.
So you see some people like when they had a TV together you didn't have to do it.
Yep.
On one of my TVs I could still do that.
I brought a brand new one, I guess like in November.
And for some reason I can't do it on that one.
But it's an awesome big old 60, whatever, 60, 65, whatever it is.
But I can't split the screen on that one.
Oh, see that's wacky demon.
You know what?
The first person that comes up with the one where you can split the TV in half.
Watch a streaming and regular cable at the same time.
Like separate the TV like that.
Where I ain't got to sit up there and miss everything.
I can't channel serve because I have to go, you know what I mean?
I have to go all the way back and do some different.
See, these are first world problems.
See, I know exactly what you're saying.
Because that bothers me too.
Like if you had to watch something that's a stream only.
You just stuck there.
You're stuck.
And that's why as well.
What I'll try to do is like, you know, keep the iPad nearby.
And if there's something like that stream only, I'll put that on the iPad.
Because it's easier that way.
And then I'll just leave my TV for like the, you know, cable related stuff.
Yeah.
Make it too hard.
Like, technically, I feel like I feel like they do that on purpose.
The streaming people.
Of course.
So, so the first person to come up with a TV like that is going to be in jeans.
It's basically what two TVs in one.
But it only turns to two TVs when you separate.
So it separates it in half.
You want to talk about the issues which I mean, I could sit here and I could give you a bill of goods on streaming and how ridiculous it is.
St. John's is playing right now in the biggest tournament right right up the road right up the damn road at the garden right now.
As we're talking.
It's streaming only on on on peacock.
You can listen to the game on 1050.
That's that's so.
But it's streaming.
And the end of your cap.
That's it.
That's that's crazy word.
I mean, the biggest tournament yesterday all three games all streaming today.
The first two games, which is the two local.
St. John's playing now.
Seton Hall plays.
Creighton right after this.
The first two games tonight.
The gardener are streaming only.
Like, come on.
And.
That's what I'm saying.
Like, they were talking all cut the core cut the court.
Now you're becoming more expensive than a court.
And they're charging you more money.
And you got.
Right.
That's the guy got to get all these other ones.
You know what I'm saying?
I mean, it's unbelievable.
By the way, speaking of money.
Speaking of money.
I got to get your thoughts on this.
Because this was newsworthy.
What?
Yesterday.
I think or the day before.
Whatever.
What do you think about.
An NFL game.
The night before Thanksgiving now on Wednesday night.
Yeah, we talked about that.
You know, I mean.
Whatever.
You know what I'm saying?
There's so many that people know they don't have to go to work tomorrow.
So the NFL just gets super greedy.
But nobody's around.
I can stop them.
Yeah.
I'm trying.
I'm trying to think.
Right.
Nobody's around.
It's going to stop them.
I'm trying to think though.
Because you can.
You can answer this question.
Because we both.
Do obviously work.
You know, jets related.
If.
I say if.
Would you rather.
Have the game.
To work.
Wednesday night.
Thanksgiving day.
Or black Friday.
Black Friday.
You might still have to go to work.
No, you don't have to go to work.
Black Friday.
But I'd rather be able to have my weekend.
You know what I mean.
So I want to go out and be able to do stuff.
No, but black Friday had to be like an afternoon game.
Well, yeah, we've.
And we had that.
What three years ago.
Two years ago.
Whatever it was.
Three years ago.
I hated that day.
Hated that day.
That ruined my whole vibe.
Because I am.
I love.
The black for the day after Thanksgiving left over meal.
Like I enjoy that better than the actual Thanksgiving meal on Thursday.
I love the left over.
That's because that's because all this stuff has.
The juices are reconstituted and got back and all that stuff.
Yes.
Exactly.
And I don't have.
I don't have guests or company over the house.
I could wear sweatpants.
Yeah.
I could.
I don't have to entertain people.
I could just sit there and do my thing.
I get the meal.
Like you said, the food is kind of like formed a little bit better.
I love the Friday.
So when we had that game a few years ago on Black Friday,
that ruined my whole routine when it came to the leftovers.
That was all.
Oh, my God.
It was such a long day.
Hello.
How long do you hold on to the food?
Out the word.
We usually stretch it out till Sunday.
Sundays the last.
Okay.
Yeah.
So you can start going to make like ham sandwiches.
Do you take the ham?
The honeybeck ham.
Pull it off and put it in your omelette or make a ham sandwich or grilled cheese.
I don't do ham with the turkey sandwich.
I make turkey sandwiches by Friday or Saturday.
They're fantastic.
Fantastic.
But I, but even by the time you get to Sunday and you're having like whatever's left,
like the scraps and something like that, it's kind of played.
But you still, you still do it because it's, you know, you got all this food.
You're not just going to throw it out.
So, but yeah, we stretch it out till Sunday.
And then that's it.
What about you, Todd?
But Matt, I don't want to talk to us because we ignored him.
I don't know the other thing.
Yeah.
Tom doesn't want to talk to us.
Oh, Tom's on the phone.
Okay.
Right.
Right here.
Right.
It does.
I don't even know.
Right.
It doesn't stop at this day.
Right.
Right.
Look, look on race face when I brought him.
He's like, you hell.
He's like, you hell.
Yeah.
Well, but what are you dragging me into?
How long do you keep the Thanksgiving things food?
How long does it last for you?
Until it's gone.
Until it's gone.
Until it's gone.
That's what I'm talking about.
It doesn't matter what day it is.
What was the, I'm trying to just to get a little familiarity.
What was the?
Oh, that's right.
Oh, man.
I was trying to say, what was the Thanksgiving weekend game last year?
That was the Atlanta game in the rain.
Remember the one that Nick Folk kicked the 56 yard or a walkoff field goal,
which in in turn cost them the number one pick.
And now Nick Folk gets a two year deal from the Falcons.
That game.
Ah, yes, like the 55 or five years.
He missed one earlier in the game.
And I was the only kicking missed all year.
And then he, they tried it them out to end the game in the rain.
And he kicked the 56 yarder and they win it.
And they miss out on Fernando Mendoza because of that.
And now what, what do you think they're doing with the kicking game?
Like you, you, you want to roll the dice again and have all that uncertainty?
I mean, like Nick Folk was automatic.
Yeah, but he was only good.
And usually they're not good back to back.
Remember, who do we have before the big putter we had?
And then we had the big kicker that we had.
Not the lake.
Who is it?
Zirline.
Yeah, he was.
Yeah, but Nick Folk was good.
It has been good for like the last three years, even when he was in Tennessee.
Remember, he was like automatic.
I just, I mean, I guess Atlanta overpaid him.
They gave him a second year.
And that's why he went down there.
But like, my gosh, it's like now it's rolling the dice again, looking for a kicker.
You know, you have something good.
And I don't know.
Hey, they struck gold last year with an unknown punter.
Right?
And maybe they'll do the same thing with a kicker.
Yeah, yeah, we'll see.
And I thought you did.
I mean, we had the best special teams last year.
Banjos is stunned, man.
Yeah, Banjos is stunned.

That's right.
And then you've got the big east Don Hahn and Rosenberg broadcast at the Irish exit.
That's tomorrow.
Oh, wonderful broadcast.
They're going to have going on there.

See Bart, we are all locked and loaded, ready to rock and roll here.
It's a beautiful thing.
809193776, that is the telephone number.
Let's say we get back to the phones.
A lot of people want to chime in.
Let us say hi to our pal, Sube and Midtown.
He's up next here on ESPN, New York.
Sube, how are you today?
Hey, Pete Carroll said that Gino is found for a backup season with the jet.
So you guys think about those comments and especially because they will play the Cleveland
Browns and all the other bad teams like the Titans and the invaders.
They're going to play three bad teams this year.
Is that going to prove that Aaron's on the right thing Aaron picking Gino as a quarterback?
But we don't know who's going to be a good team or a bad team.
That's the beauty of the NFL.
Did anybody think the Patriots were going to be a good team last year?
You know?
They were coming off a season worse than the jets were.
So I don't know if people looked at that and said, oh, that's a win.
That's a lot.
And remember, Bart, Patriots started off one and two and on opening day, they lost at
home to a Raiders team coached by Pete Carroll and quarterback by Gino Smith.
Remember that?
I do.
It's funny how things changed.
But I mean, look, we talked about this at the beginning of the show.
I don't think the Pete Carroll necessarily has to sit there and voices support behind
Gino Smith.
I think that the situation that he's going to find himself in.
And Gino, by the way, is going to speak to the media probably in the next couple hours.
You know, the jets are putting some of these new guys on the zoom to do some media stuff.
So you'll get Gino's thoughts.
But, you know, I think Gino got too much of the blame out there in Vegas last year as
to what went wrong with the Raiders.
That being said, for $3.3 million, he's had success in this league within the last five
years.
I'm familiar with playing in this town.
I think that you've given that there is no perfect option out there.
I think you could have done a lot worse than what the jets ended up with Gino Smith.
Yeah, of course.
I mean, I think that's you hit the nail right on the head, you know what I'm saying?
Gino, Gino is a professional.
I think he's going to come in and he will have a bounce back here.
I think he understands where he is, you know, in his career and what this means for him,
you know what I'm saying?
I think you're going to get the best version of Gino and I think he's going to play with
a bit of a chip on the shoulder and he's going to try to show everybody that it wasn't
just his fault why the game went the way it went.
Do you want to hear from one of the new jets, David Onyamata, who was a guy who, you know,
they signed from the Falcons, who Aaron Glenn had with the New Orleans Saints for a lot
of years, defensive tackle, like another guy who's familiar with Glenn, familiar with
the program, may even get like one of those captain sees on his jersey on the defensive
side of the ball.
You want to hear?
Yeah, let's hear from him.
Okay.
It was relationship with Aaron Glenn, a factor in joining the New York Jets.
He definitely was a big piece to that, you know, just knowing him from my time in New
Orleans and just knowing the caliber of a man he is and the coach he is.
It was a no brain at the moment.
I got the opportunity, I got the call to come join him right here.
That was one of those mic'd up like NFL films moments last year when the Jets played
the Falcons like with him and with Aaron Glenn and David Onyamata on the field after the
game and like, you know, David was basically just thanking him for everything that he did
for him in his career.
I'm not here without you and blah, blah, blah.
So I guess when he connected thoughts, it's not all that much of a surprise that he's
now a member of the football team.
Yeah, I mean, like I said, he's also was like four, uh, 11th and runstop rate.
Yeah.
He's the numbers checked out, you know, and and and that's one thing like they may not
be like household names and big names, but little by little, they've beefed up this defensive
line.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, you got some, you got some beef on this line now.
They're not going to be as easy to push around this year.
And that's what you wanted, right?
And it also transferred to a three, four and then having a guy like DeMario Davis that
still comes down hill in Sherwood, who's a guy that's sideline to sideline, long as you
keep him clean.
But then they got Will McDonald to come in and play like the situational type of football
when you talk about, you know, past Russian celebrations and all that stuff, right?
You got that where you can put him in the comfort zone where you're not asking to set
the edge, even though he should set the edge a lot better because, you know, I mean, he's
going to be like the fifth man.
So like he won't get like these massive double teams and be out there on the island.
He'll have somebody right with him.
Harrison Phillips to Vandrey Sweat, who they acquired from the Titans in the German
Johnson trade, David Omnietta, and oh, by the way, remember, Joanne Briggs and think
about how much of a pleasant surprise he was last year.
I mean, that's four, that's four guys right there as these, you know, kind of like defensive
tackles, slash nose tackles, slash five technique type dudes like and don't even rule them
out from even bringing in another guy in the draft, you know what I'm saying?
Like you can never have enough depth in that department.
You can never have enough big bodies and big bodies are hard to find.
It's hard to find three, 40, it's hard to find three, 20, you know, I mean, and athletic
or even not even have like just guys that can plug holes in you got, you got four of them.
You talk about sweat, you talk about fillings, you talk about bricks, now you talk about
Omnietta.
So now you got a healthy rotation and then you got guys that's big and heavy handed on
the outside to set the edge.
I know I mentioned this before, like a couple of weeks ago when they made that German
Johnson trade, but now it's official because Quincy's gone, right?
He signed with Cleveland, but like that defense, which everybody considers to be like one
of the best defenses in the NFL, you know, opening night, 2023, all those guys that
you thought were impact players and you throw in Bryce Hoffman and coming off the bench
and whatnot, those guys are all gone and we're talking like nine, 10 guys that are no longer
on this team and that's short of a period of time.
It's nuts.
I mean, the draft is still coming to and the draft is coming to, I mean, but change happens
in the NFL man like it happens overnight, a blink of an eye.
And you know, Geno don't have to be Aaron Rodgers.
He just has to be, you know, Ryan Fitzpatrick and I think that you can get a lot of
complex with with a Ryan Fitzpatrick type of play.
Get him another weapon though.
Right?
Yeah.
Yes.
That's what I'm trying to say.
Do you get the weapon at 16?
Do you get the weapon at 33?
Yeah.
Somebody's going to fall.
Just think last year Luther Burton is a guy that went in the second round that really,
you know, you know, sped up the DJ more Exodus.
Absolutely.
And you saw like late in the year when he had to make big plays and made big plays for him.
All right.
It is time.
We're going to go back to the phones for Richard in Manhattan.
Ha ha.
Richard.
Good afternoon.
Hi, Ken.
Hi, bad.
Here's all you sit up Thanksgiving weekend.
Night.
Wednesday night Thanksgiving, if you've got to have a game 730, that's fantastic.
If you don't want to stay home or if they're home, they're going to watch the game Wednesday night.
Thursday, I don't need a 1 o'clock game.
Please don't give me the 1 o'clock game.
I'm watching the parade.
I'm getting up late.
I don't want to be put to football testing at that time.
So Thursday, Thanksgiving, you give me 330 and 730.
And then Friday, you go Friday night, 730.
That's perfect.
So 730 Wednesday, 330, 730 on Thursday, and on Friday, 730.
That's fantastic.
And you know what?
I'll carry you to another step.
Thank you.
Christmas Eve.
Give me a game 730.
Christmas Eve.
That's late enough where people have done what they want to do.
Been back from church or whatever.
Give me a game.
Christmas Eve.
Nothing going on.
I don't need a lot of games on Christmas Day.
But give me a game on Christmas Eve.
Now, fellas, I want to talk about the WPC.
The way they drew this up, whoever drew it up, 20 countries.
Some of these countries, I wouldn't have even thought they knew it even what baseball was.
Added to 20 countries, only three countries, only three did not have one win.
That's unbelievable to draw up something.
I mean, if you had 20 major league teams and divided 5555 in four different divisions,
and they played 30 games, that's what they played so far, 40 games.
I bet you'd have more major league teams not winning one game.
So what they did, say what you want about the timing of it and all.
It is other stuff and whether it makes sense in all injures, forget about it.
Just think what they accomplished.
It is unbelievable that only three out of 20 teams won't win this.
Games have been prepared.
I don't think there was one game with the Mercy Rule, right?
There's been a few games with the Mercy Rule.
One Soto hit a Mercy Rule home run for the DR to knock them out.
I mean, the United States won a game, I think, 15 to 5, 9 to 1.
Like, they've had a couple of really lopsided games.
Rich, thanks for the call.
I mean, Rich was all over the place here, but he usually is.
Hey, the thing about the WBC, it's over on Tuesday.
It moves fast.
And then now we can go back to projections and pan attention to the rest of the league.
Right.
Now, what do you, I don't know.
Back to the whole Wednesday night thing with Thanksgiving with the NFL.
We always bring up, I think it was Mark Cuban who once upon a time said,
like, is it a little too much for the NFL?
Like, is it oversaturating the market?
You know, when is too much too much?
Is that one of those cases?
Right.
Like, do we really need a game on Wednesday night?
I don't know if I need a game.
I've lived without it for this long.
Because then you're taking a game away from me from Sunday afternoon of that weekend.
Right.
Like, you're already given me, like, supposedly marquee games on Thanksgiving.
I got three of them that day.
Supposedly a good one on Black Friday.
And now you're going to give me a Wednesday night game.
Like, what's going to be left for me on Sunday?
Well, it's a day where you, Sunday, you actually have to spend time with your real family.
And Sunday night and Monday night football.
You still have prime time games.
By the way, on top of that, I also, I can't remember where I saw it hurt or whatever.
They're actually toying with the idea down the road of adding a second game on Black Friday.
Like, making a night game on Black Friday.
Like, how much, how much more do we need, seriously?
Like, do they want you to go anywhere in life?
Yeah, it's over Saturday.
This is killing me, man.
It's too much.
It's too much.
Fat pigs get slaughtered, man, but they haven't been slaughtered yet.
But people are going to, but that's the thing.
Like, you could, you could put the worst game in the world on in one of those slots.
People are going to watch whether they're invested in the teams or whatever.
Once you throw in the gambling element to Bart, like, people are always going to have a stake in these games.
Because it's gambling.
You already know.
That's exactly what it is.
But do I need it?
No.
I don't.
If you're asking me, is it an absolute necessity?
No, I do not.
You know, in the way, like, just me personally, Wednesday night, like night before Thanksgiving.
For, I don't know, last number, how many years?
I either got a Nick Rarranger game.
I'm worried about that I'm working.
You know what I mean?
I can't be bothered with a football game.
Like, those other sports like the NBA and the NHL aren't going to disappear like the night before Thanksgiving.
It's okay.
We're not going to play because the NFL has a game.
But we'll pay no attention to them, man.
Like, they know even Christmas football is like, like, damn.
And that's also a big party night, too.
The night before Thanksgiving is a big like, people go to the bars and they, you know, reconnect with friends that they haven't seen for a while.
You know, back from college, stuff like that, or they're going to go to somebody's house and hang out.
That's like the, like, the friends giving, if you will, right?
Like the night before you're with your family, whatever, you go hang out with friends and whatnot.
But if they're, you know, if there's a game to be played, they're going to put it on in the background.
That's all they care about.
As long as it's on TV, they're still getting credit for it.
Exactly.
Those are the meter, man.
They still, I don't even know if they still figured out how to get all the streaming stuff together.
Yeah, I don't know how that works.
Telephones and iPads and all that type of stuff.
How do they register those numbers?
You know, like, they don't have meters for those.
Those are based simply on streams.
We know that.
But hey, you know, if they can, you know, if they can measure that, they would, uh, they were charged to NFL,
I mean, NFL charging more.
If the NFL is going to put that game or any, you know, remember, they already have like a four game package that they're going to be auctioning off to somebody.
And it would probably go to like some streaming service, maybe YouTube, because they took some games back from that NFL network package.
That went, you know, like, uh, a lot of them, those international games.
This is very ridiculous, man.
Dude, it's.
And the starting is, you almost like, you feel like you've been, you've been hustled.
Yeah.
You know, I'm saying you feel like you've been hustled.
And like, you got to pay for your peacock and then they did the thing where they, oh, okay, we're going to, we're going to put, um,
we're going to put one of the games on one of the playoff games on a, on a separate stream.
Mm-hmm.
Like, come on, man.
There's going to come a time telling it's only, it's always been the playoff game now.
You've only had a wild card game on a streaming service exclusively.
I guarantee you there's going to come a time where you're going to get like a divisional round game on a, on a streaming service.
And they could poo poo until the cows come home and they could say that it's not going to happen.
I don't, I still don't think it's outlandish.
The way things are headed right now.
There might be a super ball on a streaming service exclusively on a streaming service in our lifetime.
Because, because, but this the thing like around the world, I guess it has to be on Netflix.
Or it got to be on the zone because you need the world because the world watches football.
Correct.
So yeah, you hope you get some new subscribers.
But those people outside the world love football enough when they'll, when they'll say, you know what?
I'll pay for it just to see it.
It's going to have to be on a pay-per-view type of purpose because I know nobody going to sign up for a whole, uh, streaming service for the whole time.
Think about this.
The Netflix, for example, because you brought it up.
Netflix is paying the NFL for those like Christmas games, 75 million dollars a game.
75 million dollars for one game.
And it doesn't even have to be a good game.
That's because they're just trying to get subscribers for them once they get subscribers and they feel like nobody can't sell out the words.
The games this year on Christmas weren't very good, right?
If I'm not mistaken, like they were, it was Dallas, Washington, which both of those teams were dead at the time.
The second game, I think, was garbage too.
I can't remember who was playing, right?
Like, weren't they all bit, chiefs were playing, right?
The chiefs played and they were dead this year.
And who were, I don't even remember who they played.
But the point is, is like, they were awful games this year, right?
They didn't even have any sort of significance when it came to the playoffs.
They didn't know that.
They say, chiefs, they thought it was going to be like, we got go, baby.
My home's a tell us with.
Can't lose with that.
Christmas Day was Dallas, Washington.
Lions Vikings and Denver, Kansas City.
Now, just think the Vikings come off a 14-in-2 year.
The Lions after what they did last year.
You got Washington after Jake Daniels coming back and trying to finish what he did the first year.
I thought almost winning, really, really, you know, rigging a year.
Plus Dallas, big market, Dak Prescott, blah, blah, blah.
Michael Parsons.
And Denver, Kansas City is the night.
So yeah, in theory, it looked good.
But you know what the problem was?
Netflix couldn't sit there and pull a Baltimore Ravens.
They got to be at Costa.
They couldn't get their picks back.
They couldn't get their money back.
Well, you know, you can do flex.
Not on Christmas.
Yeah.
Flex to game.
Like, they could have flexed a game before like Nah, bro.
Netflix was probably trying.
They were probably on the phone with the NFL in like, by the time he got to mid-October.
And they were like, I don't like the way this thing is headed.
For $75 million a game, can we get at least better matchups or what?
Was Patrick my home's hurt too?
When did he get hurt?
Was he done by that game?
I think so.
Yeah, before that.
Man, I would have put on coming to America too.
And that one wasn't very good.
Yeah, it wasn't.
No, that was bad.
Wait, that's why I don't want Drake to ever release the chronic too.
Oh, my God.
Do you remember who started for Kansas City quarterback?
That they remember Chris a lot of cool?
No, you think I watched that?
He was real.
He was a real person.
But you think I, you know, but I forgot.
That was the dude that they were throwing out there.
Chris a lot of cool was the quarterback for this.
But he actually actually threw for some good yard.
66.
Showed a little mobility.
Netflix is sitting there saying, I'm paying $75 million for something dude that tries like.
So dude, and I can't even follow the Scottie report.
Nobody even nobody even knew who Patrick my home's backup was.
So that's my point.
You know, like do we really need all these extra games?
Because you might get yourself a stinker regardless of what the number is.
America leads the world in medicine development.
It matters.
We get new medicines first nearly three years faster.
Five million Americans go to work because we make medicines here at home.
And not relying on other countries keeps us safe.
But China is racing to overtake us.
Will we let them or will we choose to stay ahead?
When America leads, America cures.

Good thing or bad thing.
I mean, nobody cares.
That's all you needed to say.
You set it in a nutshell. Nobody cares.
When you think of Kobe, you think of Will.
You think of great players.
You don't think of a great player when you see him.
It's only great when a great player does it.
When you look at the other people who did it, Kobe and Will.
They were playing against nobody's too.
I think Kobe's came against the Raptors.
And, you know, his came.
You know me.
And his came against.
Who knows will will probably play the game that had no that had no black people on the team.
Well, they played the nicks.
Right.
Was it any black people to see?
I don't know.
We'll get the demo.
And they probably search it.
And it probably was in black and white.
And, you know, you gotta think.
It probably wasn't a three-second rule.
He's tall in everybody.
Well, it was in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
We know that.
I don't know if the chocolate factory was open, but it was in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
For Will.
And they wrote a bus.
And he's, he's told the story where he basically went out the night before.
They didn't, they were party and having a good time, whatever.
He didn't even sleep.
And they wrote the bus all the way out there to Hershey, played the game.
And that was it.
And he still went out there and scored 100 points.
The thing, the thing that's a joke, though, is that, you know, what are you doing?
Playing the dude for 42 minutes in a game where your team is comfortably ahead going into the fourth quarter.
And unfortunately, you look at the team like the wizards.
They don't have a lake to stand on.
Because they've been an embarrassment to the league all year with the tanking.
They've already got the slap on the wrist from the league.
I, I just think like something like this that happens.
It's another pellet on the wall of what Adam Silver's NBA has become.
And it's not necessarily a good thing.
Because whenever there's one of these like great statistical achievements that happens in any sport and any sport.
Like, if you see somebody go out there and have an incredible individual performance, like you normally we'd law them.
If a guy hits three home runs or four home runs in a game, it's like, oh my god.
If somebody has, you know, 20 strikeouts in a game as rare as that is.
That's amazing.
Somebody scores, you know, four or five goals in a hockey game.
Incredible.
But something like this.
We sit there and say, yeah, the NBA is a joke.
Right?
And isn't that like on the commissioners watch that the game is kind of devalued itself down to this level?
Yeah, but you know, you've always had these half and half knots type of people you know what I'm saying.
But I mean, 43 free throws in a game, Bart, 43.
Like he got to the line 43 times and not because he was a terror.
Because, you know, this isn't like Shaquille in his prime where they just can't stop him and keep feeding them a ball.
I mean, they sit there and they finally, Washington finally decides to wake up when there was like three, four minutes left in the game.
And they start triple teaming him.
Like that, like that's embarrassing.
It wasn't a real basketball game, especially in the fourth quarter.
Yeah, no, no, you're right on point, bro.
Like, but you know, the same thing with Kobe though, right?
These aren't close games.
They think it was like 145.
I don't know what it was.
And that was a Raptor's team that Kobe did it against.
That had that was bad.
That had it was like a bad Raptor's team that still had Chris Bosch on it before he went to Miami.
Yeah.
And member Jalen Rose was the one that got stuck with the assignment.
Oh, that was the one.
That was the one where Jalen.
Ah, anyway, with Kobe, Kobe gave him 81 cherries.
Going to game 81 cherries.
The commercial they had.
That's funny work, man.
That was that was that when he met him at the restaurant or whatever it was.
Yeah, it was a good one.
But yeah, I don't know, man.
It's just this is this is the world we live in now with the NBA.
And I don't know.
It's tough to sit there and try to sell a product that you want people to consume and pay money to consume.
When you've got teams that can't even be bothered being out there on the floor.
You know, and you just got them talking about the streaming and all this extra money that people are being asked to pay to watch these games in variety of sports.
And this is the type of effort you get.
Yeah.
I mean, no Anthony Davis.
You got half the team I plan.
You know, that's what you get.
Pathetic.
