News talk breakfast with Anton Savage in association with air. In this Indian summer, lovely and all as it is, how long is it going to go on for Alan O'Reilly of Karla weather on the line? Alan, 22 degrees at Hit and Mike Air yesterday. I tell you that Mike Airigan was under pressure. Yes, John, and it actually hit up to 26 degrees yesterday. So it was incredibly warm time for this time in a year. And some good sunny spells as well. It is going to drop back a little bit, but still hitting over 20 degrees in parts of the South East today. And really it is very unusually how mild it has been for September, at least for the first 22 days of September. The average temperature is running nearly 3 degrees above the norm for September and really, really milder than usual. It is unseasonal, but we can sometimes get good weather in September. It is kind of like the last thing at the day it was, wasn't it?
Yes, we often can. I remember back to when the plan was held in Karlo and it was sunshine and sunburned. And we can get those spells of weather. What is unusual I think is just how consistent it has been at above average this month. And we have had a lot of cloudy nights as well, which means that the nights have been much warmer than usual. I mean, even when I am talking to you here in the morning, it is 16 degrees. That is kind of the average high for the day and we have been seeing those temperatures overnight and early in the morning. So are you telling the people who are refusing point blank to come out of shorts? That is, it may be coming to an end and they may need to dig out the genes. They may, they may. Hello, I think they might get into October. I get to at least this time next week because there is a sign that we could see some more unsettled weather arriving around this day next week. We are lucky that there is quite a storm in the Atlantic at the moment. It is heading for Iceland and not Ireland this week. Okay, Alan O'Reilly of Carlo, whether we keep the shorts on standby for the time being.
Thanks very much.
