I want to hire a private investigator some folks in the best. ABC Tuesdays TV's hottest PI is back. You sure you ready to take on a serial killer? It's like a dozen more likely explanations other than serial killer. Alright, maybe not it does. In Florida, crime has no offseason. I just heard you were shot at today with a rocket launcher. Well missed. James Decker Tuesdays 10 9th Central on ABC next day on Hulu. There is so much NFL on ESPN right now. Monday night football plus pregame and postgame. NFL live NFL prime time. Everything you need to stay on top of every game every week. Unbelievable. And now NFL network is on the ESPN app. More football, more coverage, more ways to watch. Football's on. All season long on ESPN and streaming on the ESPN app.

Well howdy there internet people. It's bell again. So today we're going to talk about Trump, Ireland, reunification and Muppets. So Trump took an already controversial trip to Ireland and made it worse by saying he wanted reunification. He said quote, I don't want to cause any problems but I'd love to see it unified. It's going to happen eventually. It may as well happen now. Then added quote, I think it would be a fantastic thing. He wasn't finished. Quote. The UK will have something to say about it obviously. Quick background for Americans who may not know. The whole of Ireland was once under the British. In the process of achieving independence, Northern Ireland was left under British rule. Re-unification is generally seen as the Northern six counties joining the rest of Ireland.

This is a bit of a touchy subject in Ireland. There's been a lot of islands over this exact question. He doubled down and spoke about it again. Trump's habit of loose talk and wild rhetoric is not welcomed. To illustrate, here's a question. Quote. Miss Bell. Can you explain why your Muppet of a President decided to come over here and jump up and down on the most sensitive nerve in the entire country? The man just walked in and started talking about reunification. He's some kind of thick. He also sure didn't help reunification either. Nobody here wants him supporting their side. He's a literal orange man anyway. He couldn't have just kept his gob shut. Okay. So assume you have a President who is a complete Muppet. And he also refuses to listen to experts. So he probably doesn't get the normal briefings by State Department on what to say and topics to avoid.

But he also doesn't just speak off the cuff entirely. He certainly does his own style of research. Imagine if our hypothetical presidential Muppet was going to Ireland. And he knew people there were already mad at him about everything from international relations to the treatment of snails at his golf course. He probably wouldn't try to appease the people of Ireland. He knows he's disliked. So maybe he could do something to energize his own base. Now imagine the response he would get if he pulled out his phone and asked what his political party wants most for Ireland. What do Republicans want most for Ireland? You would probably get an AI-generated response like, Irish Republicans want an independent unified nation free from the United Kingdom. The core goal of Irish Republicans is a united Ireland.

That's what I got when I typed it in. Which also pretty much covers everything he said. Do I know that's what happened? No. But tell me it doesn't make sense. People are trying to give him the benefit of the doubt in a bunch of ways. I wouldn't jump to devious to explain it when incompetence is enough. For those in the US, Irish Republicans and American Republicans really couldn't be more different. But I doubt our purely hypothetical Muppet knows that. Or that he knows he appears to have taken the side of the socialists. Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
