About this episode
This decodable children's book tells the story of a young girl named Meg who maintains a farm in Crown County. After a successful season of planting seeds, Meg discovers an uninvited groundhog devouring the vegetables in her garden. She enlists the help of her animal companions, a pony named Cloudy and a cow named Browny, to protect her harvest. While the girl's own shouting and clapping fail to intimidate the intruder, the noises made by her pets successfully scare the creature away. The story concludes with Meg showing affection and gratitude to her loyal animals for defending her crops.
