Yo, yo, yo, what's up everybody? It's Chris Sims. Chris Sims on button with Connor Rogers. We're here. It's Jersey Friday edition of Chris Sims on button. We break down what the F happened at Lambo Field last night. Is Michael Penex that good? Or the Packers really just that bad? Maybe a little bit of both. Plus our week three picks. And where we're putting our Sims bucks this week. Yeah, check us out. We're going hard. Or we're going home on a few games this week. Chris Sims on button with Connor Rogers starts right after this. Six months, 162 games, an entire season earning your place. Then the Wild card arrives. Just when you proved you belong, you have three days to prove it all over again. Someone's moving on. Someone's going home. He did it again. The MLB Wild card series presented by Fee begins September 29th on NBC and Peacock. It's only favored by four and a half. I remember you saying, Chris.
The Falcons are better than the score looks. They've been sunk by backup quarter. Exactly right. If they're offence, can just be average tonight. They will hang in the game here. Yo, yo, yo, what's up? It's Chris Sims. It's Chris Sims on button. Connor Rogers is here. It's Jersey Friday. We're live on the NBC Sports YouTube page. I hope we got the homies and everybody in there watching. We got good show. We're going to break some stuff down. A lot. We talked about these Falcons. Right? We were on this one. We were on this one. It kills me. We were just talking before because I had the under. And I was like, oh, of course now they're going to be an offensive juggernaut late in the football game and crash the over there. But regardless, yeah, we talked about it yesterday a little bit. The concerns with the Packers. We showed some of the offensive issues. We said it was feast their famine. We saw that once again. And that's again, the NFL. You can't just look at scores and stats. It's scary that way. We like context matters as we always talk about. And like you know, from that first game, Atlanta should
have beat Pittsburgh if it was just average quarterback play. And it wasn't the blowout that everybody thought it was in the Carolina game. And of course, there's pride, matchups. And now you just get a good, good little quarterback play. And all of a sudden you go, oh, wait, Atlanta actually might be a problem in the NFC South a little bit. It clearly sparked belief. Yeah, right. With Michael Penex under center for them, we're going to have the full Thursday night football recap. It is a very special Jersey Friday as well. I love special. The rendez-barber pro-bosters. rendez-barber pro-bosters. And like, that's the real thing. This is the real thing. How do you acquire something like this? Well, like you heard, I don't know if you heard me with Mike Tomman and the other day. But my best friends were the DBs on the football team for the most part. We're the whitesmith, Rhonda, for sure, were my two best friends. But with Rhonda, yeah, he was my guy. I mean, we did Friday night, date night together. Every Friday, his wife, my wife, we'd go out to dinner, have a little fun. We did that. And game was over on a Sunday. It was usually we're going to Rhonda's half-daffs
after the game for a little family barbecue. And people, you know, and the team in the organization would be there. So he was really my buddy. I mean, my buddy. He's another one of those guys, like I said, with Dwight Smith yesterday, where we don't keep in contact with the regular. But as soon as we see each other, it's just like, we've been with each other every day since, right? It's that way. So yeah, he goes to the pro bowl. This is 2006. And I was like, damn. I was like, I got to get me one of those jerseys. And he's like, well, you know what? They actually, if you're in the pro bowl, I think give you like 10 to 20 jerseys to give to family. And really? And really friends, right? So I was like, one day, I just was going over to his house and he had a package and he goes, here you go. And I was like, oh, dude, that is insane. So it's a little different. I came down this morning and my wife was like, that jersey fits weird. And I was like, well, it's a real jersey. Like it's literally med for shoulder pads and like, you know, rendez kind of wore his jersey, almost like a quarterback where you had the little extra room here and the baggy sleeves. Yes. But yeah, rendez barber special, my man right there, legend, as we know. The inventor of the nickel right there,
the guy that took it to the next level. And that's really where he's famous. And I just can't get over like the detail. Back then, so you have the Bucks logo on the sleeve. The Bucks logo, right? 2006, the Pro Bowl, you see the little Bucks patch there. Yeah. The logo on the side. I love the stitch numbers on the shoulders. You see like little holograms in the NFS. Yes, right? There's little stars like in the jersey and the background. And the stars going down the side. It's pretty cool. That's a great jersey. But your jersey is pretty strong as well. Thank you. And thank God I didn't, I was gonna wear a blue Walter Payton jersey. That's unreal. I was like, maybe I should wear one of my bears jersey today. That's what I said to my wife. And she's like, no, let's go with the rendez-vous. And I was like, all right, cool. But that would have been hilarious if we both showed up here and Walter Payton. So you started you went home and away. You're starting to get the mind melts. That we did for TikTok yesterday. Pretty close. Pretty close. So for me, like growing up in the air of like internet videos, becoming a thing YouTube and even before that, watching old highlights was the coolest thing in the world.
Because before that, it was like you had NFL films and that was it. You had nothing else. So the first time as a kid watching Walter Payton highlights, I was like, I can't believe it. Who's the sky? Yeah. So he's been one of my favorite players that I never got to watch play live. And I think another cool thing is, he probably had one of the biggest impacts off the field of anyone in NFL history with the organ donor campaign that you ran. Yeah, really, really cool stuff. So I also just like, I'm a chance fan. It's a great traditional jersey. The George Alice on the side, which is very unique. That's right. I didn't even think teams are technically allowed to do this anymore. No, they probably need to get approval from the league, whatever. It's grandfather for a long time. And so, and back then when jerseys were just a lot different, you had the more flat numbers instead of the stitch numbers. And that's why you see them wear off throughout the game. Totally. I know. Very, very cool. Wasn't the same quality, really cool era. He's, I got to meet him. Of course, when I was young, a few times, just because of my dad and being in certain events. So that was special to be a part of. His family's even better.
OK. He can know his son, his daughter, the wife, everybody. They're phenomenal that way. And, yeah, I mean, you're right. I think like, you know, growing up for me, it was like, OK, I saw Jim Brown stuff. Walter Peyton was like the next one. And you were like, I've never, he invented high stepping, right? That was Cisar kick. That Cisar kick, right, which was like, you better have incredible ass and hamstring to do that, right? Like a Dion Sanders or somebody. And then his physicality and what he ran, right? So how low he could get and run people over was like, unbelievable. That's why he's sweetness. And he's, you know, arguably the greatest running back to ever live. We love to see the homies getting involved. It is Jersey Friday. It is far from the last Jersey Friday. So if you missed out, you got plenty of time. This one from Israel, DMS seven, our guy, Izzy. He said, Connor motivated me last week. So busted out the stitched Revis Jersey. One of my favorite Jets lines memories is when Revis locked up Calvin Johnson in 2010. Oh, I mean, classic right there. I liked the old white Jets unit.
I do too. I mean, I listen, I'm a big fan of the Jets uniforms altogether, right? They got it right this time. They got it right. They did. I mean, they look sharp every time they go in the field. And I mean, I'm all about that Revis. Revis is hands down. One of the best that ever lived right there. Oh, okay. All right, Cameron Gravina, little Pat Tillman. Yeah, the little kind of salute to service style. Yeah, okay. I like it. That's awesome. That is a cool one. I've never seen that one before. Neither of I. I appreciate everybody joining in on the fun though. You might as well. Oh, okay. There we go. Father Son, Minnie Hutch and Big Hudge up there. Dirty Jers finest is the handle. You got to love that. That's awesome. The father son combination. What up, Dirty Jers? Okay. I like it. That's amazing. That's really cool. And then our last one from Derek who said, go Niners. I wear this custom made Niners jersey and memory in my brother, Daniel. Rest in peace. He is a huge Niners fan. Number 72 is his high school number. And Danimal was his nickname because that's how he lived his life and played the game. Oh, that's cool. Awesome. Yeah, very cool. Love the meaning behind a jersey always. That is very cool.
Great way to honor your brother there, Derek. Way to go, dude. Everybody keep him coming. Chris and I will be rocking different jerseys through the Pixpod throughout the season. Yeah, it could be a problem. Because at some point I think I'm going to have to take the American Express out and go, I got to buy some more jerseys. We'll see if I have enough to go through the year. I don't want to wear repeats, right? No, no, it's going to be difficult. It's going to be difficult. It is going to be difficult. I might like back in our fantasy studio. We had all of like we had as many of the fantasy stars. Oh, you might have to go back there. Yeah, unless Matthew Barry just cleaned them out. Or maybe we'll just all still use some of my connections and maybe we'll petition some teams a little bit and I'll be like, Hey, honestly, that's the next move. Can you send me, you know, Hey, Shenahan, can you send me please, you know, a Nick Bosa jersey or, you know, I'll wear a USH. Hey, McVeigh, can you give me a staffer jersey? Make sure that gets to my house. Can you FedEx it overnight, please, please do that. All right, let's get into the full Thursday night football recap. The Packers lost the Falcons at home, 35 to 14. This could have easily been 42 to 14. Homey of the pod Xavier Watts took a kneel.
Did the clad, he really dropped it earlier. Yes, I mean, that was right. I was like, he dropped it. I was like, how could he drop it? Never drops those and then he got one back and here's my question for you. Yeah. Do you have to kneel when the score is this? No, no. Only when it's like 10 points, you have to kneel. No, I mean, credits Xavier Watts. Obviously Notre Dame guy, very intelligent. Does the right thing? That's what I feel like. If he's like a Notre Dame guy, he's like, no, we have standards at Notre Dame. We won't do that. If that was like somebody from Miami or Texas, they'd be like, I'm out of here. I'm hard-stepping in the end zone. No doubt about it, right? I, yes. That's one, too. I don't think that crosses over. I don't think a team would get mad. Hey, it's in the middle. It's a play like that. DBs only get the ball in their hands a few times. You're not going to like, that's not a below the bell shot or like an unwritten rule. Yet still a classy move. And he's probably, you know, the thing you really think about is, do we want to return it and then, you know, have people block in and do and stuff like that.
And also, we get somebody hurt on a play where like the game was over, right? That's to me what it's probably about more than anything. But yeah, great game by the Atlanta Falcons as we'll break down here. B. John Robinson was the star. Here's a little nugget on the Falcons offense. B. John and Drake London, the first pair of teammates to each record 150 plus yards in the same game three times. It was amazing. That is amazing. I saw that at the end of the football game. Let me ask you before it's got to cut you off. No, you're good. Is there a more narrowly funneled offense in the NFL than the Falcons? I don't know if there is. It's like B. John, Drake London. You're pretty much, you're right about that. They're obviously not afraid to feature their guys. And I liked what I saw from Tommy Reese last night and they're attack there. They got a little bit of everything. And we've talked about their own line and that, but it's up there with like, you know, they know how to feature people like you talked about with the Rams. Like, they're not afraid to just go all in on one guy. Now they don't have that one running back. It's kind of like the duo running back. So to your point there, I don't know if there's a two guy tandem that won through the
air one on the grind that gets rid into that extent. You're a little S.J.S. And yeah, but they even with your Dari and Price, they make sure they're matching it up. You're right. I'll pull it up the teams right now just to kind of look. I mean, we know that, hey, burrow and the two receivers, but we're talking about one receiver, one running back that a team rise to that extent. You know, maybe Baltimore would like Derek Henry and Zay flowers, but still I don't think it's to that extent. The Lions have started to gravitate. I know it gives in a mon ride, but it was like they want more James exactly and a poor and a poor. Right. So that's what I mean. It is very heavy. I'm on rod and gives, but again, I think your point is very real there. I don't know if anybody rides two guys quite to that extent. You know, we might see the 49ers ride Kittle and McCaffrey because of some of the receiver series. So that could be exactly they might have to. That's one that's up there for sure. But you're right. It was unbelievable. And hey, I mean, first off early in the football game, the Packers go down, they get the seven, nothing lean. You know my thoughts. I think the Atlanta defenses way better than people realize.
So I was a little surprised by that. And, and of course, they're missing their two best defense suppliers. Let's not forget that. How good would they be if they had Jalen Walker and James Pierce out there? They'd be scary that way. You could feel the tension I feel like with the Atlanta Falcons offense. You could feel, hey, this is why I couldn't pick a laner to win the game. I mean, Michael Pentax, like you said, he didn't play at the end of last year. He has played no preseason. And a practice was limited. So you could feel like, hey, he's not an erhythm. And of course, the interception wasn't good early on. He had great London on the left. I don't know why he tried to force that in there to dozen with Xavier McKinney, you know, hovering around. So you went, oh, man, you know, here we go again. Is the quarterback position going to hurt Atlanta? The big run down the left sideline by a by a B. Jean Robbins after the rough in the pack. Those two plays right there completely changed the game. Bad penalty. We talked about penalties with the Packers yesterday. It's been an issue yet. They weren't horrible yesterday. But the first two games they were horrible.
And that was a bad penalty in a big moment that then extends the drive to let B. Jean now the offense aligned getting a groove. And it, it just took the pressure off of Michael Pennings. Because now even though you don't complete a lot of passes, you come over to the sidelines and everybody was like, hey, okay, the offense moved the ball. And hey, you didn't mess it up. So that's good. And we scored points. And so I think with that, the tension went away. And then we slowly but surely started to see the big lefty start to throw some lasers around the field. And he, when he got going, he made some throws and things where you go, look at that spiral. Look at that ball. That's, that is special. He can just play average like we talked about. Atlanta could be a pain in the ass in the NFC cell. Yeah. When he started to get comfortable, the game completely changed. Cause he went through the first quarter and you're like, ah, Pennings is not only rusty. Like there's still questions. Can it be the guy? Yes. And then like you said, Chris, when he had some time and obviously the Falcons offensive line played very, very well in this game, the way he can challenge down the field when they threaten so much at the line of scrimmage with B. Jean changes the entire complexion
of the ball. I think so. They're going to put you in a bind that way. Hopefully they can continue to improve on the play action pass that we talk about. Cause when you can run the ball like that and you see, I mean, what Atlanta's got up front, they got a good offensive line. And B. Jean is unreal. I mean, I've been telling you, I think Gibbs is better. I was sitting there on the couch last night going, ah, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe B. Jean is a little bit better. You know, not, it's just, it's not the big place. The big place, of course, are amazing. And you're like, oh my gosh, to me. How many great seven and nine yard runs that he made where I was like, wow, he was kind of like, like, okay, there's nothing there. And then he kind of squeaks through the hole and you go, okay, he's going to get three or four. And then you go, oh my gosh, he broke somebody else's ankle, changed direction and then darted up and dove for a few more yards and he goes, he got nine yards on a three yard run or a one yard run. There was so many of those that I was just like, holy shit, he got 11 there and he should have got four.
And that's where I was amazed by it. I mean, his, he's a ball of muscle first off. He's such a specimen and his ability to cut it full speed or stop and then restart it full speed is up there with some of the all time great. I agree. I agree. Yeah, it's special. It's all the fame type talent that B. Jean Robinson has. He is the peak example of how we're running back single handedly can change your offense. Yes. Because he's just so difficult to tackle and going back to your point about Pennix and getting him working off of play action. He was six at 10 for 95 yards, almost 10 yards a pop. That's what we wanted to see last year. That was our problem with the Zach Robinson offense. This doesn't have to be a complicated formula. I talked about this with Mike Tomman a little bit on Wednesday him talking about the play action pass is the way to go to get the expo someplace. He's made for play action pass. He's made for come back, sit deep in the pocket. Okay, we're going for a 25 yard game. I'm going to throw it in there. I mean, that's right up his wheelhouse. He's not going to be your movement, excramble, run around guy.
That's not who Michael Pennix is. He is a true pocket passer. And yeah, if they can continue like you said, define ways to get the ball to Lloyd. I mean, Drake London did, I don't know why I said Lloyd and Michael Pits if we can get him involved a little bit with a splash of dots and all that, you just go watch out. They're going to be a pain in the ass on the offensive side of the ball. Drew McDuffee said that was the most comfortable. I've seen Pennix in the pocket. The play action game changed his presence and he didn't question his reason. That's what I'm saying. And I would agree with that Drew McDuffee. I'm with you there all the way. You know, early on in the game, of course, he looked very uncomfortable, but that was, you know, to be expected. They get a little success. They settle in just like we always talk about, you know, sometimes it just takes a layup to get Steph Curry going from three point land just to go, hey, ooh, there goes one in the basket. Okay, the basket looks big all of a sudden, even though it was a one foot shot. And that's kind of filled in the hand like everything just feels good. You do. You throw one good throw it as a quarterback. And it doesn't even always have to be special, but you just go, ooh, that came out of my hand
good. And I put it exact. You can be like, oh, I'm on fire now. And I think that did change him. And I agree with what McDuffee say in there about it just changed his presence. He got back there and he just looked like, hey, I'm ready to fire and let it go if I have to. And that was impressive. It really was impressive what he did for first game back. We talked about this stat after the weekend Atlanta. They were just the 13 since 1978 without a red zone snap in their first two games. That's incredible. Last night they had 13 red zone plays. And scored a touchdown on four of five red zone tried. Yeah. I mean, F you for my under it all came together for Atlanta last night. And Kevin Stefansky, who by the way, a lot of people might not know this one. He's six and all time as a head coach on Thursday night football. Oh, I love that. I root for Kevin Stefansky. I do. I root for him because I feel like you got an unfair shake with the brown. So it was probably the toughest situation to be involved. They did stuff there that was not in his control a lot of the times. He just coached the football team. So yeah, I want to go like, yeah, it's tough to be a cook when they're making groceries
and the groceries they're buying are real shitty out there. So you're not going to make a great meal. And then of course he takes over Atlanta. And I'm excited for it because I go, hey, Atlanta's better than people thing. But the quarterback situation, you just go, can this guy catch a break? So that it's good to see that they got off the snide there. And hopefully this will be the start of them kind of making a run and playing more consistent football on the offensive side of the ball on the other side of this. Green Bay fans are asking today and the national media like how bad is green Bay because there's a world where today we could have been looking at the ugliest Oh and three in the league. If the jets just ran a quarterback sneak, honestly, on the back to back, third and fourth down stops. And that's football. But the bottom line is green Bay is in a very scary place because it hasn't looked good through three weeks right now. No, no, no, you're right. Even in the win against the jets, it wasn't good. There was nothing to look at to go. Oh, I feel like they're about to turn the corner. There's just so many issues. You know, one, I was surprised because the defense got gashed like that. That I was not expecting that in tackle.
No, they didn't tackle. I mean, we saw like you said some huge holes at times where you're like, wow, of course, some of the past plays and that. Hey, the coverage wasn't always bad. Sometimes it was just great throws and a big receiver and doing that. But still, you know, like you said, they, some of these plays ended up like, Oh, okay, he caught the ball. The coverage wasn't bad. Wait, he broke the tackle and now he broke another tackle and he's off to the races. Yeah, the physicality, the intensity of the team didn't be there. We broke it down yesterday. It's hard to be good when you suck it, running the ball. You're not good on third down and your feast or famine pass game. As you saw again last night, they just are not sharp with short to intermediate passes. And Jordan love isn't sharp with it. And so yeah, the stats people are going to look back at the stats of this game and go, well, Jordan love wasn't bad. It's like, no, no, he wasn't good though. Let's just be real about it. And of course, it's not just him. It's the offense. It's everything. But there's still throws that are made, you know, in the first and second quarter and the third quarter where you go, that's a five yard out route.
That should be complete and set its third and 10. It should be second and five or it's third and four or five. And you go, there's a six or seven yard throw. It's not put where it needs to be and then it's punt the ball out. And that's to me again, where it's like, if they don't hit the big play down the field, they're just inconsistent. And then you don't run the ball on top of that. Yeah, they got major, they got major issues to worry about right now in Green Bay. And you said it, they're not running the ball well. They had 60, they were averaging 64.5 rushing yards per game. That was last in the NFL. And then they had just 17 rushing yards. Yeah, they gave up on it. So one of my biggest problems, we articulated that the roughing the passer, big run by Bijan was the turning point of the football game. The other part of where the game could have turned around for my money, it's 17 to seven. I know it. Lada's got to go in a little bit, but I as a coach of another team wouldn't be ready yet to go, hey, they're unstoppable on offense. Right. I wouldn't be going there yet. You're at your home field. You're at your home. You're at your home.
Well, it's fourth and one. You're on the seven yard line. You're down two scores anyways. You know my thoughts already, just get something positive. You haven't got anything positive since that first or second drive of the second drive of the game, right? You haven't got anything since then. Let's make sure that we can just get a little momentum going. And then put a little pressure on them. And let's see if they can execute and do that. And what's my other problem was, not only just that it's, you know me, I bowed to the kickoff and the kicking the field goal. Anyways, but when you can't run the ball, like I knew they weren't going to run the ball. Pete Demolite has told me he got, I hope they don't run the ball. And I said, yeah, that's the point. You think that they're the land of coaches. All right. Hey, they haven't been able to run the ball for a foot on us. Do you think they're going to run it for a fourth and one and a half? No, you knew they were going to run a boot or a little play action. And of course Atlanta knew. And so tat to me was another reason just kick the field goal right there. I did not love that.
And again, it goes back to my whole thing. You can't win the game right there, but you can lose it. And that was a little bit like the Rams quarterbacks, Sneak and Australia. Same thing. And then all of a sudden, hey, what happened? Atlanta had all the momentum. Yeah, we stopped them. Yeah, we're unstoppable. And they go right down the field and scored touchdown. And it was like, that's the game. See you later. We'll see you next week for week four in the NFL Green Bay Packers. And to kind of put a ball on the Green Bay conversation. I mean, when you look at their highest cap hits at the off-season, like this is really important right now. Jordan love is the guy because he's the quarterback. Right. Josh Jacobs obviously not playing football right now. Aaron Banks has been banged up, banged up this year and he has not lived up to that contract. Totally not. No, he's kind of been a bust of a science concern, considering the money that they paid him. And then Zach Bakkel-Bowelley, he's out for the year with the Tom Pateler, but he's their best off in the line. He's their best offensive lineman. Right. So that's an issue. And by the way, we're not putting the highest cap hit on the team on there, which is Michael Parsons, who is in sweats in sweats. Exactly. So I know those aren't like, whoa, names.
But again, we talk about follow the money, follow the assets. The other person that's not on that graphic too, who's not making big money, but is a huge is Jaden Reed. Jaden Reed not being a out. So some of their best players and biggest contributors right now are not out there. And then your quarterback is not playing really clean football. There's a part of your offense or an element of your offense that's missing altogether. You can't run the ball. And yeah, so if you say all those things out loud, you go, of course, they're one and two. They're lucky. They're not 0 and three. Right. Right. And on top of that, one of their best players, it is not going well for Tucker Kraft, who's working his way back from serious injury. Yeah. Yeah. He had some interesting comments when he was asked after the game what he thought of the fans booing at Lambo. Yeah, that's pretty tough. You know, like everyone pictures Lambo field and not booze. I don't picture booze. I picture my home stadium.
That's tough. It's pretty disappointing, especially for a home opener, especially for home opener. It's pretty disappointing. It's not going to help us win. I got to know what people think that's going to rally us or something like that. But, you know, that's, that's, we're growing, and we're mentally strong enough, capable enough to, to get back on the field and, and play ball. But probably much easier with the 70,000 people behind us rather than opposing us. It's kind of interesting because, of course, when these quotes get posted online, there's always a negative reaction of like play better and this won't happen. And it's probably like Christian Watson, for example, this was his response. And I think this is the safer response for a player. He said, I mean, it's tough at the end of the day. It's entertainment business. So we've got to put a better product on the field if we want to have the fans have our back. That's right. But to be fair to Tucker Kraft a little bit, because who's just being honest, he didn't play well. He dropped a lot of passes.
He doesn't typically drop. He's working his way back from series injury. We can't do the, God, I wish guys said more impressors. I got you. Then just being robots. No, I'm out there. And then when they say exactly how they feel, no, he wasn't like, I hate the fans. I don't like it here. Yeah. You also can't just hold the guys feet to the fire completely. I see it both ways. We don't need to say you're right. We don't need to blast the guy. But I think there's things that I would look at, you know, one, hey, they're boon you for a good reason. Yeah, you have expectations. They're just your team has expectations. So again, you know, you can go play for, you know, some of the shitty teams in the league, you know, go down to Tennessee. They won't bully you. It'll be great. Who knows? They don't expect anything. And we'll see where it goes. You're the green Bay Packers. You got a star quarterback. You know, you got a winning tradition. Of course, you're going to get booed. And I think what, again, I'm never mad. You're right about the player talking or saying what's on his mind. I'm not. What I look at a little bit more is, yeah, it is, it is a business.
It is entertainment. The fans of course are spending money and they want the team to do good. They're emotional. It's a good thing. They pour money and time into this. And that's why your fans are, I mean, they're some of the best. No doubt. They're always there. To me, what it just shows a little bit like when he said, when he said, you know, it's not, it's not going to help us. Well, you know, I've been booed in my home stadium. It does light a fire underneath you a little bit. It can rally the troops on the sideline. But to me, when he says, Hey, we're mentally strong, I would go, no, the way you answered that tells me you were kind of mentally not strong. You were thinking, you were thinking about it. Exactly. That's, that would be my only point. That's totally right. So I'm never mad at the player speaking their mind like you said. And you're right, we do that too much in sports media where then they speak their mind and we go, oh, why would you say that? Yeah. Like, let's kill them now. You know, media training. Exactly. It's all the time. But I do think it gave us a little inkling into where they're at right there. And don't pay attention to that crap right now. And of course, they're going to boo you when you're getting crushed by a team by the fans account.
Looks like they got crushed to both first two games. And now they're coming in here and just kicking the shit out of us. Right. So that's where that's where I think, you know, it's a tough one there for Tucker Kraft and of course, Green Bay is just in a tough spot right now. No, I think it's well said, Chris. And I think I would imagine too as a player, sometimes you don't actually know what they are booing. Yeah. And my perspective, that's right. You're about the green Bay fans are not only booing the poor play and the sloppy play. I like Matt LaFlor a lot. Yeah. I think if this doesn't work out, he's going to get a second head coaching chance somewhere else. Yeah. But I can tell the fan base is incredibly frustrated with him as a whole. I hear that. And players might not, you know, they want to protect their coach or they might not realize they're not booing you directly just because you dropped the ball. They're at the large. That's right. You can't take a personal that's that's exactly right. But I still young I remember some third downs where I threw strikes on third and 12 and we dropped the ball and they boot, right? And I'm coming off the field and being like, damn, yeah, they just should boost. But they're like, I'm like, they're not booing me. That was a strike. They're booing you.
Yeah. They're booing you guys over there. But you're right. You can't take a personal. I think there is something to that. I never see that video. It's like a little kid and he's telling all the players it's the coaches fall. Oh, yeah, yeah. He's like, it's not our fault. It's the co he's like seven years old. Hey, some of the great ones are like, like I've told you about my dad, my dad has this ability and I've seen this with other great quarterbacks where they can lie to themselves. And I go, that's why he's good. I was maybe too real with myself, you know, my dad is one of those guys that can be like, I didn't throw, I threw an interception that game. No, you threw two of them. Oh, you don't remember, huh, dad? No, he didn't. Daddy, you eating a cookie, right? I thought this isn't a real cookie. This is, you know, one of those organic ones. The person who's still got sugar and carbs at it. It's still a cookie. I love it. All right, we're going to take our first break when we're back. We got all of our picks for week three. We'll see if Chris still rides some over unders as well. You know it. I'm coming. Here we go. Six months, 162 games and entire season earning your place.
And the Wild card arrives just when you've proved you belong. You have three days to prove it all over again. Someone's moving on. Someone's going home. He did it again. The MLB Wild card series presented by Fee, again, September 29th on NBC and Peacock. Time for the week three picks pod. Oh, shit. That's right. It's time to bounce back. Oh, I'm loving these montages there. Look at you there. You are. Van go ahead. Go ahead, man. Look at that. You were the nicest about it. You compared me to an artist. Everybody else called me a caveman or a three year old with a crayon. That's good. I like that. Yeah. You're like, you know, what was the guy that used to be on the PBL station? Like, oh, a pretty little house. And you're not going to remember, I need somebody older. I was an applaud then Bob, Bob Ross. Yeah. Yes, you remember Bob Ross, yes, that's you. me with my tinfoil hat. Yes, I am going to go some over unders here today. Man, that
was a bad week. Holy crap. And yeah, it's like we've said, and I've heard people say, man, like week one and two are almost like an extension of the season right now. It's unreal. It's tough to call it. And it's, I mean, it's a reminder last night when you look at what Atlanta did to Green Bay and as much as you've been on that like Atlanta's better than everyone gives them credit for, we didn't see Green Bay getting embarrassed at home. It's just, it's a reminder of how uneven the NFL could be, especially earlier in the year. We are tied and our overall record for picks against the spread. Good. Last week, best bets. I lost 400 sims bucks on the Eagles. Thank you, Eagles and 300 bucks on Casey. So I had a bad best bet. I mean, I mean, the Eagles were this close to bow in the game out in two different spots. And that's for the interceptions, just kind of even the game out. No doubt, you know, we do have to just keep our record too of just straight up. Right. Oh, just straight up wins and losses. I think that's one of the thing I know Pete's like he's having a hard enough time trying to figure out the money and the record and all that. But we can add one more thing to it at some point because I do like to know
what I'm picking just to make sure I'm picking the right team to win the game. Right. I mean, there's something that's just a gift in that. The league's hard enough to call it at the spide of spread and do all that. I, you know, I'm hoping that just my picking the normal games will make me feel a little bit better about what I've done so far. Some more comments on my handwriting style. A boba said, I write like Connor, never seen anyone else do it like that. That's great. I'm inspiring. Hope that everyone. Thank you. There's dozens of us. Thank you for exposing yourself there. Yeah. Clarence Yee said, okay, I normally just download the podcast and listen, but today I had to watch the video just to see the claw. Holy cow. Can you imagine Connor writing with a quill in ink? Yeah. Seriously, you see a problem with the feather and all that. You've had major problems. I would have been like a stone mason or something else. I wouldn't have had much reading and writing for me. Alex unlimited said Connor getting clowned by a guy that doesn't know their call the chopsticks. That was Willie Cologne. He said, sushi sticks. Yeah, he said sushi sticks. Yeah, Willie is hilarious. He would fit in very well on this desk, by the way. And then I was asked if I get this reference from Philos sobriety. And he'd Connor to pick with scores. So we have the potential for some bingo, bingo, bongo.
Right. So this was a thing that went to the floor. Yeah. So it kind of started one day and, you know, it went to we picked like the same team to win. And if we picked the same team in the same score, right? So let's just say, for instance, it's like, Hey, we, we, we picked, you know, both pick the Patriots to win 24 to 17. And we do it. And we go, that's a bingo, bingo, bongo, right? And we do that. So we could infuse that in there for you, Phil. I like it. All right. We've three picks. Speaking of the Patriots, that's our first game. And they are one of one as is Jacksonville, who's hosting New England. They're one of one. Jax are favored by three points in this game. Overunders pretty high, considering the defenses in this. It's 46 and a half. How do you, what's your read on this game? Chris Drake may has not looked like his MVP caliber-ish sells. No, no. But New England's defense is held their end of the party. So here, this is one of my games that I would go that I'm thinking of the under. I'm going with the under. Okay. All right. Because I, that to me jumped out for what, and exactly what you said.
I know Jacksonville's defense is good. I'm not sure how good yet. Okay. I know it's like top half of the league. I'm not worried about any of that. But I'm like, could it be maybe top five or six at some point? Is it just top 10? Is it just top 15? Right. So I feel like I'm still in the kind of the process of that. But there's still a lot of good there. And to your point, I just don't have enough faith in the Patriots offense right now. Just say, oh, they're going to go up and down the field. You know, we saw Denver make a lot of big plays in the game the other day against Jacksonville and do that. And still only score 20 points, right? So I think that that's what at least is in my mind that way. And then I think when I look at the other side of the ball, I go, man, Jacksonville's offense is really damn good. We know that they should have had more points last week. They had some self-inflicted wounds and messed some things up. No doubt about that. And they played a great defense. And this is another defense that's I'm with you. I think it's phenomenal. I think that the Patriots are scary. Because they have some guys that can block you up, man to man. And then they have creative
pressure packages. They know how to have kind of like pressure, but yet not exposed themselves in the back end. And that's where I give them a lot of credit that way. So I'm going to take Jackson ville to win a close one. They're at home. All right. I am going to take the under on this one. I'm not going to go crazy on it. I'm going to go 150 here. Jaguar's winning 23-21. So I got the Patriots covering, but I'm going to go the under and put 150 on it. Definitely one of the tougher picks of the week. I just like New England getting points in this situation because I think both teams are figuring things out. We saw Jacksonville get kind of pushed to a halt against Denver in the second half. New England's defense, like you said, I wonder if we see Christian and Zalas follow Parker Washington. I would be shocked. Well, that would be interesting to see what they do there too. Because I feel like Marcus Jones will really match up with them. And like if he's in the slot, you know, and then Parker's running those type of routes. I'd go, Hey, Marcus Jones is perfect at that. But if he's outside, then it has to be that. But maybe I could see them on third downs going, Hey, you know, Gonzalez, you take Brian Thomas, Jr. Marcus, you take Parker,
you guys go. And then like at certain parts of the field, the river, he's like, Hey, if he goes there, you'll have help. So you don't have to overexpose yourself. That's the stuff that to me, New England's really good at. So they can play aggressive man. But then when you watch it and you go, Oh, but they're protected in certain areas, you can certain routes that would be tough to cover the whole field. And yeah, they're well coached. I think this is going to be an awesome game. Definitely one of the ones I'll be extremely tuned into on Sunday at one o'clock. I think so too. I think it's one of those games where the outcome will be decided by really less than a field. I'm like a little bit like as 2321 to high. There's almost a part of me that goes, you could be a 20 to seven, Joe type of game kind of that. But yeah, I saw that 46. And so I'll put a little chunk of change, some sims bucks on there. The O and two chargers. Yeah. Guess what they get a trip to Buffalo. That's fun. Against the 2 and O bills that look like an absolute freight train right now. And that's why the bills are favored by seven points. The overrunner is massive in this 50 and a half points. I don't have confidence that the chargers are going to outright win Chris. Yeah. But
I think we see the best version of themselves so far that they clean things up and hang around that seven points is too much. And I think they covered the line. I hear you there. I think this is one where one. I mean, listen, it's desperation time. Like you said, it backs against the ball. It's totally is like it's one of those where you'd go, hey, would I be shocked if somehow they won this game? It's NFL professional players. It's desperation. It's one team feeling good about themselves. I mean, that's a real stuff. There's no doubt. I guarantee things where about us tens as it possibly be in that chargers facility this week. So I'm with you there. I think I look to I think we're going to have a high scoring game here. I I expect that in a one. I think that Buffalo is going to be aggressive on the defensive side of ball. That's what they are. And the other reason I'll say that I can expect. Okay, they're going to be aggressive and I can see the chargers making plays is that I do think the chargers will be able to protect Gregor was against Gregor was so and some of the past rushed up to where he's going to have her bird will have some chances to
make some throws down the football field. I do and I expect them to be on their pees and cues because of the pressure that we've talked about. And like we kind of talked about yesterday, the offense is it's been a little bit better than what the results show. Yeah, it's been a mistake here and there, right? But there was a lot of plays and things we showed yesterday go, hey, the guy was open or was a good throw or they fumbled and they were driving or just stuff like that. So where I can see them moving the ball in the bills. Now the other side of it is that the bills are going to move the ball. They're going to score a lot all the way. Right. So I'm with you in that. Okay, so I picked them the win by seven. So I push. So now I'm going to go Buffalo wins by eight. All right. Okay. That's the way that I wrote it down. I got Buffalo winning 3527. And ding ding ding ding. I'm going the over. It is. He knew it over. Is there is there a hurricane coming? Is it going to what is a first off? I should check. I know he's there's on the way. Is it is it? I don't know. It makes it a buffalo though. Okay. I hope not. Please. It's going to be
bad for me and you here Saturday. I'll tell you that. Oh, that's a good thing. We'll be inside. But yeah, I hope there's not. I didn't check the weather up there for Sunday. But yeah, I do think this will be high scoring and I'm have the bills just barely cover here. All right. We're going opposite directions, but kind of see the pattern. Exactly. We're playing for two points off each other. The two and O Bengals, they get to go to Pittsburgh against the one and one Steelers. The Bengals are favored by three and a half points in this game. Chris and the over under not surprisingly is down to 42 and a half. Yeah. Well, and this is one where you look at the Steelers almost like the same conversation as the Packers. You're like, they're one and one, but should they be? You know, could the again, like if Michael Pentax was playing and was what we saw last night and he was playing in that first game, do we really think Pittsburgh went to one? I got too many questions about Pittsburgh to pick them and anything right now. Sorry. So I'm definitely taking the Bengals to win this one. Bengals to win this one. Where the hell am I here? Oh, I'm going to go 27 20. Okay. All right. I'm going to have some point scored a little bit. I am. You know, one, I just have too much faith in the Bengals. Oh, that they're going to they're going to make plays even last week of this
tough as it was. They still got to a point of the game where you're like, Hey, it's the Texans and, you know, you let Cincinnati hang around. It's a T Higgins and Jamar going to make some plays with Joe Burrow. So I expect that. And, you know, the Cincinnati defense, which we know has been better but still not as good as what I think everybody thinks, right? You know, the Bucks did move the ball in them. Houston moved the ball on them on the regular last week. They did. So I do think Rogers and company will make some plays. And I think too because Cincinnati plays a lot of man, I think that's actually like Rogers wants that. It's like, Hey, now I can throw my fades and my back shoulders and the quick slant and do that. So I think Pittsburgh's offense will probably function a little bit better than it has the last few weeks, but still going to have Cincinnati cover. This won't be one of my best bets or anything like that. No, I'm with you. And if there's anything I've learned over the years, I have seen North games are bizarre. Yeah, they are the typically you could have a basement Brown's team beat the first place division team. No, downers, very weird results. I'm going to play the under here. I just haven't seen enough to
be convinced that the Steelers are going to be able to run the ball on the Bengal. I hear you. And that goes the past game, right. But to be fair to the Steelers, they are one of those teams that can kind of drag you down to the ugliness. They definitely can. That like high flying Bengals all of a sun are like, wow, we scored 17 on the 14th quarter. Yeah, yeah. So I'm going to play the under. Okay. Picking against the spread. I did like the Bengals to cover. But like I said, these games get really, really weird. But man, the Steelers just I don't think they have the firepower to cover that line. Yeah. So you think it's like a 20 to 14 21 17 kind of game. That's kind of like that. Yeah. Yeah. And you know, what did I say? I was going to bet with the the Chargers bills over. I said 150. I misspoke there. I would like to put 200 Sims bucks on that. All right. I'm going to go 200 on that one right there. Yes, I am. All right. The one and one jets go to Detroit against the one and one lines. The lines are favored by six and a half in this game. The over under pretty high 47 and a half. The Lions defense has been bad. But boy, they could score points and absolutely fly. I like the Lions this week. Chris, I picked the jets the first two
weeks. They did cover the first two weeks. I just think this is not a good matchup because of the speed of Gibbs and Jamison Williams. That is what scares me in this game. I think Gina will be able to put up some points that that's offense will be fine against that line second. That's what I think too. I would do there. I just don't know if they have the gas tank to go into the like, can we win 34 31 and we won 31 28. I hear you. I think the jets lose by a touchdown. No, you know, like to what you're saying. I don't know what to expect from the Lions offense. I don't. So I'm still like I feel like gathering information because like you're talking about they got dangerous weapons and all that. But I'm not sure it's still this high functioning system that can do what you're talking about there. The line looks a little healthier in practice. So that'll be a big thing. Larry Boram not to call out a back of offensive lineman. He almost sunk the ship. Yes, right. So like and that's that's back up offensive liners stuff in the league. If they get Blake Miller back and some of these guys, I think they'll be functioning. That that that will be to me is the key to the game. If the jets can slow down the run and not have to over commit to it
and they can go, Hey, basically, Hey, our front can kind of handle it by itself. I think that can make it can make the game interesting. Yeah, I do. You know, I'm going to go with the jets keeping it close. Aaron Glenn under fire this week. I do think they match up pretty well. You know, of course, there's some institutional knowledge here between Aaron Glenn and Dan Campbell that I find interesting as well. And like you said, I think the thing that I look at more than anything is that I don't trust the the Lions defense. I don't know. And I'm not going to until I see those safeties back playing football again. So yeah, I expect Geno and the offensive line to have protection. And then I think they're going to be able to make some plays down the field against this underwhelming secondary. I'm going to take the Lions to win the game, but I'm going to have the jets cover the spread. I got 23 20 Lions. And I did right next to it. Like it wouldn't shock me. Again, I'm just not a believer in what I've seen from Detroit here right now. And I know the jets messed up, but it would not surprise me if the jets pulled off some sort of upset in Detroit
this weekend. I think it's going to be one of the more exciting games on the slate. Yeah, I mean, the point total is telling you that as well. But it just feels like a very offensive center game, but the Lions just their speed scares me to take the ship and I have spread to like I've told you about, right? It's always stuck in my mind that look that point. It really does. And to me, that was always like I was told by a few sharks. When I was playing and after I was playing to go, like that means Vegas does not sure they're going to win. They favor it, but they're a little scared. All right, Texans at Colts. This is the maybe the most desperation game on the calendar. Totally. I mean, you have two teams that probably coming into the season thought they were legit contenders for their division. Backs against the wall, Texans traveled to Indianapolis both are own two. The Texans are favored by a point and a half. Yeah, the over under is just 42 and a half in this game. Chris now to be fair, I think the Colts weren't dealt the best schedule to start the season. But hey, you play who's in front of you and things don't look good for either side right now. Who do you think kind of bounces back? You know, I'm going to go with the text. Yeah, I thought it's more there, you know, institutionally that I'm going to trust in this type of situation.
I don't really trust the Colts defense all the way. Like I said, and like we've talked about Houston's offense has been better than people realize. CJ Stroud has been better than people realize. So I expect them to be able to move the ball. And like I said all week and on Monday and like we've talked about, Houston's defense played pretty good last week. You know, it was the, you know, inability of Houston to capitalize on the offensive side of the ball a few times when they did move the ball. Then it was great field position a few times by the Cincinnati Bengals. Like we talked about where they started around midfield and still only scored 20 points and really needed like two or three like, oh my gosh, unbelievable plays by three of the best superstars and only to make it happen to score 20. So yeah, I think this is desperation. I think the game will be closed. There's no doubt about that. But I just don't have the confidence that Indianapolis would be able to move the ball against that Texans defense as much as I do the other side of the ball where I go, no,
not that Houston's going to be an offensive jug or not. But I expect them to make a few more plays than the Colts offense. I'm going to go Texans win this one 2317. Yeah, I took the Texans winning and covering this spread as well. This is actually one of my, I didn't have a ton of games. I love this week. I put 200 Sims books on. Okay. All right. I just believe in the Texans defense to kind of win the war of attrition in this game. That's what I would expect. I would think the Colts need some kind of wacky plan offense to really kind of flip it whether it's a Daniel James Graham ball. Yeah. I mean, of course, the Jonathan Taylor run isn't wacky, but like a big kind of game breaking run. Right. I think the Texans grind away this win on a really, really low line. The Panthers one and one at the Browns one and one. This is the second week in a row. The Panthers have one of the funkiest spreads on the entire slate. They had the same exact line favored by two and a half against Atlanta Cooper rushes Atlanta last week. Now they face the Browns who are coming off a win, but two and a half point favorites over the Browns Chris. A total of 42 and a half is
something fishy here. Well, I think there, there is a little bit in that one. I think Cleveland's a little bit better than, then, you know, people realize. And especially with the way Watson looked last week, that was the first time I feel like in a long time, he looked like a real quarterback. Right. I agree. Right. Popping his feet, you know, moved around nice through the ball at a quality level where I went. Who that kind of looked like the old to Sean Watson, even mechanically without me getting into the weeds there. Then, and I think there's a little bit of like, like we've talked, I'm not sold on Carolinas defense. We saw what happened in week one and week two. I know it's going to look good and all of that. But yet we talked about it was the worst quarterback situation and play in the NFL by the Atlanta Falcons. So I think there's an element there where you can look at and go, no, I think I could see Cleveland moving the ball on Carolina. And I do think Cleveland's got enough talent and stuff to wear. Yeah, it's not going to just be Jalen Coker and team act, you know, down the field, big plays, which Bryce Young and them have been really good. Right. I do think that the the Browns have the secondary to kind of slow that down. I think they got a
pretty good defensive scheme altogether. I can see them playing this game close. I'm going to pick the Panthers. I am there, but I do. I go in 24 20. I think that the Browns hang around and certainly make this game interesting. Yeah, I got to see the Browns, you know, play like they did a want like they did last week one more week before I start to go, oh, you know what, I actually will think about picking them here. I can definitely see the Browns being scrappy in this, but I'm buying in on the Panthers being undervalued again. Yeah, last week, I was like, I'm worried about this, but the Panthers just way better than Atlanta with Cooper Russian, not Atlanta with Michael Penex. And that came to fruition. I think it I think the Panthers are better than two and a half points against the Browns, even at Cleveland. Of course, a difficult place to play, but there's just no respect for the Panthers. I'm not saying they should be viewed as a super bowl container. Yeah, but they should get more than the book. So like we don't believe in this team. We're not going to believe in the team. They can win this game by a field goal. Yeah, no, one of the things I'll be interested here in this one too is like you said, it's not the easiest place to play. It's not always the best place for a quarterback when they haven't played there on the regular,
because it can get sneaky windy in that stadium. And I don't know what the weather is there. On the right now. Yeah, let's let's look at that because like you said, with the nor Easter coming up up to 18 miles per hour. No rain. Yeah, okay, but that that can be that could be like, hey, that's three or four throws. Bryce would have hit where you go. Oh, I don't know if he's going to hit him now. That'll be something to watch for in that game because that does I talk to people about this all the time. They get a little caught by surprise of, hey, we thought we were going to be able to go in there and do that. Their defense was really good. And damn, going one direction, the weather affected us and we missed a few throws that we were just like we didn't think we would miss that because of the elements. That's something that does go on in Cleveland there. The chiefs, two and oh, the new look chiefs. Yeah, they go to Miami, the new look, but not in a good way, dolphins. They're oh and two. I feel like the dolphins have pivoted to the march for arch. We'll see how that goes. The I thought Miami would be putting up a bigger fight. I'm not going to lie through the first two weeks, but as much as they are rebuilding. Yeah, because of that, the chiefs are favored by 10 and a half, the over unders 45 and a half. I believed in like,
well, it's going to play better. The Niners are going to win, but the dolphins will at least be not embarrassed. I was with you there. I'm not doing that. I think the chiefs straight up run through the dolphins face and win by two times. I think it's you're right. It's that you got to worry about. And then some of the way that the pass catchers were open last week in the 49ers dolphins game, to me was concerned. I'm competitive. I mean, it was on. I mean, you we had a bunch of plays where you were like, wait, who is covering this guy? Like what is going on? Like what is this? And then as we discussed, you know, I don't think we gave enough credit for their court, their wide receiver situation. Like we said on Monday, they don't have a number one or a number two on their team. You know, I'm not even sure they have a high end three. That's the question. That's what it is. Like they got low end threes and fours and fives. That's tough. That to me is the inexcusable part about what Miami's done there. You make an investment in Malik Willis and you really give him no chance and give him no chance by and through the eyes of the fans and all that. I I'm certainly with you in the chiefs that so far the dolphins have been the worst team in
football through two weeks. I'm going to go 3420 Kansas City chiefs. Forget I put I put 75 sims bucks on this just because it's a huge line. Yeah. But man, that's just until the dolphins win me back. I don't care what the line anything under two touchdowns. It's just hard to have faith in them right now. I agreed. All right. The two and O C Hawks, which by the way, Sam Darnel reportedly on track to play. I feel like that came out of nowhere totally. They they I think it shocked them. I think they thought it would be another week or two, but but but obviously he's gotten the right treatment. It's a tough feeling better. Is that his ass ain't his red anymore? All right. But yeah, I think there's it's so unknown. I think the little bit was a weird interest be safe and say four or a few weeks, whatever. So he might be playing and that'll be interesting. Also, I think he also looks at it and goes, man, Drew Lock kind of looks good with the offense. I need to get back out there. I don't want to hear any of this shit out there. Not that he's in any danger of that at all. The C Hawks are the best team in the NFL for me through two weeks. I know that we haven't seen their offensive full capacity, but like I said earlier in the week, I go, when you're beaten teams by 24 with your backup quarterback, when you beat the team that
was in the Super Bowl last year with your backup quarterback, that's the next level stuff. The defense is unreal. We know that whether it's Drew Lock or Sam Darnel, right? They're going to move the ball. Washington's defense to me is certainly one of the most questionable defenses in all of football. We we made jokes about it on Monday morning. So yeah, I'm C Hawks all the way here 24 to 14. And this will be in the conversation for, you know, one of my bigger Sims bucks bets here and one of my best best bets of the day. Yeah. I wear eye to eye on where this game is going. I have Seattle as well. When I Thursday nights when I'm watching the game, and I take out my my quill and ink with my caveman hand. I wrote down one thing. Right. Who in this game can cover Jackson Smith? Yeah. I you might have to put three people on it from the commanders and it doesn't matter at that point. So I just don't see how the commanders can slow Seattle down. Seven and a half points. It doesn't really scare me. Is your Darryan banged up? He is, but he's been practicing. He has been practicing. It's hard to make sure. It's weird. They call that a chest injury. They call it a shoulder injury. Now practice. He's been limited with the chest
injury. Okay. But he's been practicing. Right. All right. So Seattle looking say and know what was wrong. They were just like something up here. Some shit up here hurts. Yeah. I don't know what it is. All right. Our final one p.m. slate. I'll give you the heads up on this Chris. This looks like it's going to be played in a swimming pool. The Titans who are on two tough, tough loss for Tennessee against Philly last week. Right. They're at the Giants who are coming off a heartbreaking loss because they lost Jackson Dart. The Giants are one and one though. The Brian Dable Bowl. It's the only sub 40 over under of the week. It's 38 and a half points with the Giants favored by two and a half points. Wendy 90% chance of rain. It's going to be a wash out here in the Trice State area Saturday and Sunday. Wow. I think that plays into the hands of the Giants. I mean, fire up Cam Skatebo 22 times right up the middle. The Giants want to play that way. Anyway, that's how they want it. This is this is how the Giants want to play. Yeah. Jamis looked as bad as you can look at a nowhere last week. Right. A week of practice. It won't look like that again. This is a bounce back aim for the
Giants and as much as Tennessee had that high where they almost beat the Eagles. I think they come back down to reality a little bit. The Giants should win by field goal. I listen. I like the Giants too. You said it right. I just have more trust in them as a football team altogether. You're right. It was there for the Titans last week, certainly, but I don't know if we feel like yeah, they just outright took it. We know that the Eagles made some some mistakes there. Yeah, with the two tight ends set, Skatebo, I think you'll see a better sharper jamis. The weather of course is going to be an issue. You know, I the Giants defense and not having to worry about a high octane passing offense where they can go wall in and stop the run. Yeah, I think they win an ugly one here. That's what I'm expecting. Like 20 or you know, I'm going to even lower it even lower because of the because I didn't realize the elements were going to be that bad. I'm going to say 17 13 Giants. I'm going to go there. I was going to say my prediction is this doesn't close at 38 and a half points. I think it'll close closer to 36 35. Yeah, you think you're going to go really bad. You're going to go under I'm going to take the Giants to cover
because I just think they win by a field goal or more, but I think this point totals off. I mean, it is looking really bad here and these teams aren't without Jackson. I did not realize it was going to be like that here on Sunday to that. I saw a rain. I did not realize it was going to be windy and all that. So that's that does change my thought there. I took a touch on off the board because of it. All right. Let's take one break and when we're back, we got the later slate of Sunday, including the Ravens and Cowboys in Brazil right after this. 6 months 162 games an entire season earning your place. Then the Wild Card arrives. Just when you proved you belong, you have three days to prove it all over again. Someone's moving on. Someone's going home. He did it again. The MLB Wild Card series presented by Fee begins September 29th on NBC and Peacock.
NBC Sports now 7am to 7pm Eastern. You could sit all day on the couch and just watch NBC Sports now. Right. Look at that. The channel is available live on Peacock and for free on Roku, Samsung TV Plus or wherever you stream your ass. We leave that up there. Look at that. Look at the team. We're a team there. What's going on on the left? That's where I jumped out to me. I want to say, I'm a nice guy. I let my host be a player. That was actually really nice. I host the show with Florio. This man on days you do their week. I can't get on that graphic. Dan Patrick got a team of six guys in the background. They don't get on the graphic either. Dan Levittar has got to crew with this. He's got 25 people. I guess what I'm saying is I'm the least narcissistic of all these guys here. Very quarterback energy of you. Include your teammates. Make your teammates feel involved. Unfortunately, you can't say the same for the rest of the graphic. They're a little selfish. Me, me, me and I, I, I, I, I'm the star of the show. All right. Back to week three. The picks. This is going to be a thriller. The Ravens and Cowboys in
Brazil. Both teams are one in one. The Ravens are favored by three and a half points. The over under is 53 and a half and I think that's justifies in this game. Chris, now, you always get kind of like it's a weird environment. I don't know how to factor that in. Yeah. The field sounds like it could be weird, which doesn't surprise me. No, no, no. I hear you. You're right. You don't know how to factor that in. It is, it is a lot of travel. You're, you're bar in a different country. It is going to be a little bit of a different atmosphere. You're not going to feel like you're the road team or the home team when you're there. I would expect the Cowboys to have more fans as we know. They have a little bit more of a, you know, worldwide following. But it is Lamar Jackson and company and, you know, where I just come down to on this really is I'm going to take Baltimore 2824 Baltimore. The Zay flowers thing still does concern me here. But I just don't know if I have enough faith in the Cowboys defense. I think that's the thing I look at and I got a little more faith in Jesse Minner and the Ravens defense that they'll bounce back and have some moments of slowing down
the Cowboys, which, you know, it's hard to slow down the Cowboys period. We know that when you slow them down, you're like, well, they still score 21. They're going to score 24. So I expect them to make plays. But I just think Baltimore is a tougher football team. I trust the run game a little bit more. The flowers things that like I said, I do worry about, you know, do they have enough playmakers. But I think Lamar makes up for that. I think they definitely need to address a little bit of like what we didn't get to with Baltimore last week and when we wanted to break some stuff down, you know, they're, they're, they're do need to be a little more patient with the run game. I think that's real, especially you look at that game last week on film. They had success in the first half. They ran the ball pretty good and then kind of got away from it in the second half of the football game. But yeah, I think Baltimore will bounce back. I got faith that Jesse Minner will make the proper adjustments there. I'm going to ride them 2824. This was a low confidence game for me. I only put 50 sims bucks on it. I'm not going to put a lot on this one. I took and you, you predict the score 2824. This is why it's low confidence for me. I'm taking
the Cowboys getting three and a half. But they're, they're, I don't know if their defense does anything in this game. I just think they could just keep scoring. Yeah. We're kind of due for the big George Pickens game. Right. It's been a fine star. But you're like waiting for the spectacular over and over again. And I think the point total is understandably justified in this because I think both teams are just going to trade haymakers. And in that's the case, if a team is getting more than a field goal, I will side with them, but low confidence meter. I mean, Dallas's defense looks lost again in this. They're going to be one of the most difficult teams to trust with the spread all year. Yeah. No, no. I exactly right. And yeah, you know, I hear you there. I certainly got to see it before I'm, I'm going to have a lot of faith in it. And we, we talked to the field issue, right? Like I said, to start that, I do worry about that. Just that slow down the high octane offense of Dallas a little bit in the past game. The Zay flowers. We're not expecting him to play, right? I know there was like, you know, I think he was questionable or whatever I saw there. You know, they still weren't ruling him out, but I don't expect to see him. So he traveled
to Brazil. Pete's telling me, right? I think they're like kind of leaving it as a possibility. He didn't practice yesterday. He didn't practice. Right. And I don't think he'll play generally. Maybe he just want to go to Brazil. I probably wouldn't do that if I was them either. If it's even close, he's too important to the big picture of the football team. The two and O Raiders enjoy the sound of that. Raiders fans, you deserve it. They're going to New Orleans. They're one in one. New Orleans has played the two most two of the most thrilling games this year. Yeah. The Saints are favored by three points. The over under is 43 and a half. Chris, I really like the Raiders getting three points in this game. I don't think anyone respects them for what they are. I hear you. Here's the difference to me. I think Kubiak will be able to scheme against the Saints defense enough in this game off of the run game that they are not losing by more than a field. That'll be the big thing to me. That will be now. What I'm impressed with the Saints D. That's where I would challenge you a little bit. They've made some adjustments. They're big up front. That was one thing that we didn't again. We were going to try to talk about that on Tuesday and
break some film down when you bring up their front and you talk about the three dead. They can play kind of play 3D tackles or they play a lot of five man fronts where they have Granderson and Chase Young at the end. Then they have, let me see if I got this right. Devon, Godshaw, Broughton and who's the other D. Nathan Shepherd? Nathan Shepherd. John Ridgeway is on this team. When they do that and they play these five man fronts, they're tough to move. That was one thing that really jumped out to me about the Baltimore game. Baltimore had that success, but I think early on they were kind of protecting against. Let's not let Baltimore make the big pass plays. I've been impressed with what I've seen from Brandon Staley. Schematically, I think they are very sound and good. I don't know if I believe like you do that. The Raiders will find some of those awesome game plan shots that we've seen them have in the game. The Raiders defense, which has been good and a pleasant surprise, I think has been one fortunate. The dolphins as we know, right? We're in very good. The Chargers, as we broke down
a little yesterday, moved the ball better than what the results showed. It's stupid. I think this is a good game. I'm going to have the Saints kind of pull away just late. That's kind of how I got it. 26, 17. I can almost see it like 20 to 17. Saints get a tough drive, 23 to 17. They make another stop. One more field goal, 26, 17. It's one of those where, yeah, I have them winning by nine, but it's really like a tough three or four point game that way. Our next one, the Vikings, they're two and O. They go to Tampa who it's slipping away from Tampa very quickly. They are O and two. They have a lot of problems. The Vikings are only favored by a point and a half in this game. Little surprising. I agree. The over under is 42 and a half. I don't know if this is a trap line, Chris, but I put 200 Sims bucks on the Vikings. I'm going big. I think I'm going to go 300. I don't care. I just think Baker is going to be very sore after 300 Sims bucks. Here's my thing. One, what tells you that you're going to be able to move the ball on Minnesota? I mean, I just, I got to see that first. I know that Tampa's got some playmakers, but Baker hasn't
been on his game. You know, Ameka Buka has yet to be really seen in the capacity we expect. So, I don't know if there's enough to be scared of there that I think, oh, wow, they're just going to take advantage of Minnesota and what they do. And as you know, I don't love Tampa's offense. I don't love it like the scheme when I watch it. So that's an issue for me. And here's my other issue is that, you know, Tampa's these things, it's things. It's awful. It's not good. The Front Four is a colossal death. The Front Four is a huge let down. They've been non-existent. We knew the secondary was never good anyway. So that was a question that needed the Front Four to help out. My other part of this is you go, Minnesota hasn't even played good on offense yet. Like this, this is the week they will. I don't see it this way. This one's crazy. I mean, I'm going Vikings 28 to 17. And like I said, I'm going $300 on this one yet. I think this is the week you see the Vikings offense take off a little bit too. And I don't think that the Bucks offense will be able to keep up with B-flow and what they do on that side of the ball. I don't think so either.
Nice nugget from Pete, which is providing the contrary. Baker mayfield against Brian Flores. He's 2-0 with five touchdowns in one pick. I just don't think this is the Baker mayfield of that era. No. Right now. I'm not putting it all in Baker. Let me make that very clear. But like you said, we complained about this offense when it was being called in Atlanta last year. It looks like the same problems now in Tampa. They've been banged up and they just haven't been very efficient. I would want to know where those Baker mayfield wins over Flores. Are they Tampa Bay Minnesota ones? Yeah, well, I feel like I don't remember them playing. Or it's just one that goes back to like Flores being in Miami. We could revisit that one, which I don't really give a shit if it was. That was disaster. Yeah. Yeah. What the roster was he was working with. All right. The Cardinals. They're one and one. They had a little unfortunate bounce back to reality last week. But there's still one and one. They go to the Niners who are 2-0. The Niners are favored by eight and a half points in this game. The overunders 47 and a half right when we sat down to record this podcast today. We got breaking news. Holy crap. Yeah. Adam Schaefter has that Nick Boes. I had a calf injury at practice. He is expected to miss a few weeks. So I mean, I don't know how much that changes this game for
you specifically Chris, but that is a huge injury for the Niners who it just feels like this is this story with the Niners. Yeah. It's, I mean, it's the story of Nick Boes. He just wound too tightly and he's had too many injuries that that injury leads to another injury and you know, guy like his age with a calf muscle and you're a pass rusher like, yeah, it's going to be more than a few weeks. I can promise you that. Okay. He's going to miss a month. I mean, it's gone for a month. I don't think it's going to matter in this one. I do expect Arizona to put up a better showing here as far as what they did last week compared to Seattle. The San Francisco defense is good. It's certainly not Seattle's defense. The thing I look at it just go, yeah, can the Arizona defense slow down the 49ers offense, right? And that's what I don't believe in. I have shana hands kind of on fire right now. They've been able to run the ball, throw the ball, kind of do whatever they want at will so far. I don't think the Cardinals have the guys to stop that as we sit here right now. So yeah, I got, I'm going to bet some Sims bucks on this one too. I'm going to go 150 Sims bucks on the 49ers
covering. They ain't the halfs a lot. I got them winning 31 to 20. I kind of wanted to pick more than that. But yeah, I'm going to put a little change on that one. I put 100 Sims bucks on the spread as well for the Niners. Like you said, just schematically offensively, they're going to get as many points as they need to. I think, perennial have a really, really clean game. Arizona will be better on offense this week. But are they going to be 25 points better? I don't expect that speaking of their offense. This is from Chief W 35 73. Chris and Connor. Marvin, Harrison, Jr. has been a big talking point this week. Can you dive into what you're seeing or not seeing with him and give us your analysis? Maybe the word generational shouldn't have been thrown around so loosely. I'm a little younger, but the only true generational town. So I can remember watching our Calvin Johnson, William Jones, Jamar Chase, and maybe Jeremiah Smith at Ohio State. Love the show. Yeah, it's a limited few. We throw that around way too loosely with college kids at times. Right. You know, this is one where I never saw that as you know. Yeah, I never did. You know, I just a good player,
all that. I think the bottom line is and I think we hit on this on a little Monday or maybe it was the previous Monday. When you watch it, he's just not special. That's their all there is to say about it. Like as a mover, as a mover. Right. I thought that was your it's just not special that way. So he's not going to give an offense or a quarterback the confidence to go. Yeah, let's make the playbook around him and let's make him the first read a whole bunch. He's just not capable of winning certain matchups and separating the way you want. He's easily the third option on their offense. I would probably say the fourth. It goes. Tray McBride, Michael Wilson, Jeremiah Love, then you get to Marvin Harrison Jr. But yes, I don't see it. I don't think we're going to see any magical change around. I think really what Marvin Harrison Jr. is in the NFL. He's never going to be a superstar. He's going to be a really good number two, maybe a high end three. I think that's what I've come to. I'm not trying to be a jerk by it. Of course, respect the hell out of his dad. I like him the human being. But yeah, there's just an explosive element that's not there for him.
And, you know, again, he'd be another guy that I'd go, you know, what happened with the draft and all that? We we drafted the team and the emblem on the helmet and, you know, just the yards. And, you know, that's that's what you looked at. But when you unpacked him against some big time talent in college football, the thing that always concern me is I went, oh, I don't like the way that looks against those corners and that. And that's kind of where we are with him right now. So we'll see where it goes. I will say if people are like, I can't love Jeremiah Smith. I don't want to fall for this again. Don't worry about that. No, no, this is not the same human being. It's going to be very, very, very, I won't say generational. I will say unique. Yeah. Well, he's the Jeremiah Smith is, it's, it's freaky nature stuff. When, when you go to Ohio state, okay? Because this is the kind of stuff I do when I ask coaches and stuff. Because I, hey, the guys are, you know, he's really good. And you hear that about a lot of players. I get into, hey, I start to ask players like when you guys run sprints during the off season, like who, who wins? Does Jeremiah Smith win everyone? They're got, yeah, yeah, nobody. I don't have to say,
right? I don't have to say where everybody's like running for three. So those are to me, the little inklings I look at to just go, oh, it's, it's next level stuff, right? You know, you know, it's our Val Reese, like the first one off the ball every time I remember asking them that when I was at Ohio state too. I mean, the first 10 yards of all beats just about everybody except Jeremiah Smith. Right. Right. Right. It's amazing. So that those are things to me to go, it's real. It's not like, oh, we're just, you know, he's got great stats. And we just believe in the player. It's like, no, he's a freak of nature that shows it on a daily basis. And it's undeniable. One more note on the Niners Kyle Yuscheck was fine. Quite a bit of money for his fake beer chug. The NFL and the letter said this was demonstrating poor taste or something long, which is kind of ironic. Well, it's ridiculous. And then what they cut to a commercial and went to four, but like commercials right after it. I mean, that's where it's just bullshit by the NFL. This is gonna fell. It's just a little too like anxious to take money from players all the time. It's just, it's ridiculous. But the Yuschecks as they always do, they had a lot of fun with it. They had this video where his
wife, Kristen said, Kyle's got a drinking problem. Yeah, as they're juicing. Yeah. I love it. They're, they're friends of the show right now. One of my favorite super bowl hangouts. Totally. They're awesome. I mean, you know, I don't know Yuscheck really well. I know him through Kyle and Kyle's wife of telling me that they're just awesome people to be around, right? And, and you could see that being around, I've been around Kyle a few times in my life, Yuscheck. And he's, he's amazing. The wife's amazing. It's great. They're having fun with it. Yeah. I love it. I love that some of the other teammates and everybody are also getting in on this. I think the whole NFL needs to get on in this kind of stuff. This is where it's, it's the NFL's talking out of both sides of their mouth there a little bit. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, we can collect billions from the alcohol companies. How dare you reference it? We've only had 40 commercials in the first half of the game from alcohol commercials. But hey, you guys can't reference it. Don't, don't do that. And also we're going to collect $5 billion for gambling, but you guys better not gamble anywhere. We're going to be checking your phones all the freaking time. That's just the bullshit
I hate from the NFL. You were like one foot into an F bomb. I know. And then you stepped back. You two things. You do really good. You two thing is killing me. You're doing some credit. Everybody could change Sunday night football. The Rams. They're one and one against the Broncos who are a very interesting one and one after last week. This game's at Denver. I got to get back to my weather report here because there was one note I had from this game. Who is it going to snow? What's going on there? No, I think it's the wind. The wind. Okay. Okay. So there's got no no precipitation. It's actually I think going to be kind of warm, but there could be gusts around 17 miles per hour. That's funny. You don't get that in Denver a whole lot. Yeah. I would check that one all the way to kick off. But that caught my eye. Yeah. So the Rams are favored by two and a half points after a real big bounce back against the Giants. And the over under is 44 and a half. And of course, Chris, one of the more unique places to play in the NFL that you know a damn thing about from being there. Yeah. It's it's an awesome stadium. It's one of my favorites in football. It's a true home field advantage. There is that. I do think Denver the pressures off the offense a little
bit because they made plays. So they're not going to be like overly worried about that. I'm still a believer in Denver's defense. As you know, this is this isn't the Giants, right? And and to me, this is a game where I go, wait, what is Puka? Where's he at? Because I don't expect Puka to play. And the like Denver's not going to go now and going, oh, yeah, we're going to leave Devante just wide open all game. That is not going to have a guy named Pat Sir Tantz. Exactly. Or they will double him in certain situations and tell Sir Tantz, hey, go over here and just shut this guy down and we'll take him away with the defense. I like the Broncos in this one. I do. The Broncos at home, I think their defense does match up with the Rams. The one thing I will look at to go is can the Rams run the ball on Denver as we talked about the Rams are pretty good at running the ball. Denver can is a little bit light in the butt in the pants that way as far as detackle run stoppers. If that happens, then I'd go, uh-oh, all right, maybe they will make a few more plays. But I think with just the Devante out there, they'll be able to slow the run game down and trust Sir Tantz at
times to go want manda man on him or, hey, we'll double or have a safety over the top and still get guys down in the box to run that way. And I think the other part of this is I like the Rams defense. I'm not like just like sold on it. There's a juggernaut yet. I'm not. I'm going to go, Broncos here 24, 21 close football game, but I am going to bet 200 Sims bucks on this. Okay. Then being two and a half point dogs is enough for me here to go. No, I think they're going to win the game. Uh, and, and I think they win this at home and I'm going to put a little change on it. Yeah, there's a lot of mixed things with Puka right now. Most of it is training that he's not going to play. I think the only thing that was the opposite and this doesn't mean anything. Zach Stevens, who I believe covers the team. Yes, he said that the Broncos are expecting Puka to play against them on Sunday, pervance Joseph. I think that's just a coach to get fair. Exactly. To be ready to go. I'm with you on this game. Uh, I think the Broncos are going to cover the spread, but I am playing the under. Okay. In this game. Yeah. I think at their stadium,
the Broncos kind of want to suffocate the Rams into playing their style of a little bit more of a rock fight. Keep the game close. Keep the game close. If it is windy, take away Devonta and make them beat us some other way. And if they do that and there's no Puka, that's going to be a 13 personnel game for Sean McVeigh, which is a lot more plays. Yeah. You're not hitting 50 yarders all the time to turn 10 yarders. A lot of clock running. Yeah. 44 and a half points for these two teams. I know they both have great offenses at times, but it's a lot of points. Yeah, I hear you. Yeah. So yeah, I like the under in this game. Okay. But if I'm going with the spread, I did say, I think the Broncos will cover that line. Finally Monday night football, which full transparency talking about this game on a Friday, little tricky because there's so much unknown with Chicago at the moment. Yep. The Eagles, they're 2 and 0 are thrilling 2 and 0 after beating Tennessee on basically the last play at Chicago. The Bears are one and one, but they got bigger problems than that. It's not only Caleb Williams in the hamstring. We know Tyson Beigeant has been in concussion protocol. The Eagles are only favored by four and a half points. No, I could see what the Eagles are one of those teams are you go, hey, they're dominating the game
and they're losing or they're only up by three. So it's hard like with them. It is that way. I'm going to have the Eagles win because of the quarterback situation. But like I'm not like sold on that. You know, one, hey, the Eagles defense hasn't been quite as dominant as I expected. All right. You know, the one thing I do see too, sometimes they stun on running plays where I want to go. Well, you're going to get gashed doing that if you do that against the Chicago Bears. You can't be like doing a TT. Why are they? Why are they? I don't know. Are they guessing past? They're guessing past or maybe they're locking it on to where like, you know, there has to be something that, you know, whether run for nation or you see the run where you got to stop the stunts, right? To a degree. And I saw a little of that last week against Tennessee. I think it's something to keep their eye on. You know, no matter who plays quarterback here in this one, I do think the Bears will be able to move the ball on on Philadelphia. The one thing with Philadelphia, they're good. Vic Fangio is really good. But where I do think it plays into the hands of Ben Johnson just a little
bit is that they don't change it up a whole lot. And I don't care how good you are when Ben Johnson knows you're not changing it up a lot. And he can kind of lock you into, hey, they're only playing these two or three defenses when we get in this formation. He's going to have some stuff there that'll make plays. I definitely feel more confident. It's tights in Beijing over Case Kingdom. But not a ton. I still think case kingdoms like probably the best third string quarterback in the NFL. Yeah. Yeah. That's a strong room. They got there. Now the Eagles offense is still a little bit of a question mark for us. It's had moments where we've got to look good. But I again, don't sit here and just go, well, they're going to schematically screw over the Chicago Bears, right? I would think the Eagles would be able to run the ball and should cobble a little bit. So we'll see where that goes. I'm taking the Eagles, but I'm not going to have them cover the spread. I'm going to go 20 to 17 Eagles win this one in a slow tough battle on Monday. I went with the Bears cover as well. There's a, like I said, there's a lot of unknowns as we sit here today. It sounds like Sequence. Okay. Yeah. Okay. The weird one yesterday, Devante Smith didn't practice.
I know. I saw that. Now it's since the Monday game, that's the first practice. Yeah. And the first practice of the week with a wide receiver should never put fear in you. No, because sometimes they're just like, hey, he saw where we're just going to keep them out. It's that's all it's something to talk about. Yeah. We're thinking like you said, it's trending towards case. Can't I'm playing, but I'm with you that at home, Ben Johnson should be able to have enough built in place. I think that's what it is. Keep them within this game. It's the simplicity of the Eagles versus the just the, you know, the exoticness. I don't not an exoticness, but just really outside the box coaching of the Bears, like even with Dennis Allen and his ability, he's going to go, hey, yeah, the Eagles got talent, but they don't do a whole lot. I think we can come up with a game plan to kind of give them a, you know, a pain in the ass showing here. I wouldn't be shocked if the Bears won this with the backup quarterback. I wouldn't, but I don't have the guts to pick it. I think Philly wins a, a, you know, a fight there on Monday night. Tony Pollard and Tajay Spears against the Eagles last week combined for 21 carries for 105 yards.
Yeah. Yeah. That's very efficient. That's what I'm saying. It's a little different against common unguide and on the swift. So that's why I think the Bears, it's a big line for an half. I hear you can cover. I'm with you. That's every game. Yeah, we did it. We did it. Our best bets. Yeah, we are coming back. We're going to take a break. Yeah. But then we're going to recap our best bets. And we got to talk about we have a huge game Saturday night for college football. We'll get into it after this. Number 20 Oregon at number 12 USC that's Saturday 7 p.m. Eastern time on NBC and Peacock, Chris and I will have you covered for the free game. I mean, feels like almost must win territory for Oregon. I think so. Losing. I mean, Oregon is like some of those teams we've talked about in the NFL where you go, yeah, you know, they're they're they only got one loss, but they haven't looked real impressive. They didn't look great against Boise State early. The offense. We got two great quarterbacks.
But USC their offense is functioning at a higher level right now than Oregon. We're going to break all that down. Check us out on the pregame show at 7 a 7 a 7 Eastern on Saturday. I'm really going to get into it about this USC offense and this Oregon offense. Quarterbacks. People are getting on Dante Moore right now, which you know, I hate because I'm just like, well, they lost or they haven't been winning. It must be the quarterback. It's all goes. It's way deeper than that. And it ain't the quarterback. Let me just tell you. Okay. So let's pump the brakes on that. But you'll see us all Saturday on NBC and Peacock back to our NFL picks. We had four disagreements against the spread. Okay. And let's get to our best bets here. This is where we put our Sims bucks. I was a little bit more reserved this week. Chris probably after we got kind of punched in the mouth last week. I kind of spread the pie even. We obviously both have a nice confidence meter in the Vikings and covering against the buck. I do. Yeah. I you know, I don't trust the bucks at all. I think the Vikings defense is awesome. And the Vikings offense hasn't even played good football yet. And so I just look at that expect Kyle Murray to play. And I think he's going to show his ass this weekend. And then
yeah, the Billy Moss style not bad way. Yeah. Exactly. And then bills chargers. I like that over. Right. I got it 35 27 because I do think the charges will move the bill ball in the bill's defense. And of course, I expect Josh Allen in that offense. So it's going to be the over there just so everybody knows it's all right. The graphic was wrong. We'll fix that. I put 200 on the Vikings. Is why the way of peeing the blender. Right. Yeah. We do. Pete's trying to use got Sims bucks. He's trying to win losses. Or coaching kids sports. I mean, Pete's like that. Anyways, so you don't even need to do that. If we were just sitting here, you'd go, what's Pete stressed about? He's honest phone and he's like, and you're like, we're not doing anything. We're just talking. So that's Pete. But also off of that, I just do want to say this. I like the Seahawks commanders. I'm putting I am putting 200 Sims bucks on the Seahawks. I would say that. I'm putting 200 Sims bucks on the 49ers to cover over the Cardinals. All right. And I'm putting $200 on the ram. The Rams Broncos and the Broncos to win that football game. So I went a little more heavy this week.
I tried to spread it out last week and I sucked spreading it out. So I went to ones that I go, you know what? I believe in the money back. You know my two. I really believe in. But there was a few others that yeah, I also liked as well. I'm going to bet a little something on that Patriots Jaguars under two, right? But not 200 to 300. I think I'm going to go 150 Sims bucks on that one. All right. The week three picks pod in the books. I think we're going to have a nice little bounce back. Yeah, hopefully. Hopefully. Well, I think we're starting to get to a point where we can start and get a feel for these things. It's still not perfect. It's still early. Hey, remember, you can watch us on peacock, NBC sports now 4 p.m. every day. We'll be back here live, Monday, breaking down every game. Hope you enjoyed Jersey Friday. Enjoy college football, enjoy the NFL, Walter and Ronde Barber. We're out.
