Hi, my name is Kramer and I am proud to admit that I am a mama's boy. You're not just any mama's boy. You're a certified mama's boy. And this is the certified mama's boy podcast. Hi mom. Hi honey. Okay, so yeah, I ran out of gas, but honestly, I don't feel like it was truly all of my fault. See? Here we go. I understand. If you're listening to this and you're like, what adult runs out of gas? Not a good one. Not a good one. Like I don't know. Honestly, I can't tell you one adult. I don't know any of my adult friends that have come to me in the last 20 years. I'm like, oh my god, I ran out of gas this weekend. Have you heard of anybody? No, can't say it. No, I have not heard anyone's been like, I run out of gas. I don't know anyone. I don't know. It was an option to be honest with you. I don't think that's happened. It's like the like the 90s.
But yeah, I ran out of gas and it was the worst, most like defeating feeling in the world. And then it only progressively kept getting worse and worse as a situation. But I need to know in this situation, like honestly, how much of this was truly my fault? And would you have done the same thing? Because I mean, there were obviously in hindsight, yes. There were ways I could have made this better. But only in hindsight, do I feel like I understood what this really was? Anyway, let's get into this. Okay. You guys know how my weeks are right now. They're absolute chaos, right? So I'm like, all right, I need to like this weekend, I really need like a no drama. There was no drama weekend, right? Well, there's been no drama, just completely chill. I decided to go for a hike. The girl that I went with, it was good. Everything was good. We were fine. Everything was good, right? Get back to the car. And now let me tell you about this hike.
When I got there on this hike, I was running late to get there. Now, my gas light had come on the night before this hike though was only about 15 minutes away. And as I looked at my gas tank, I was like, it's only 15 minutes. I still have like three or four little ticks at, you know, like little tick marks. I've got plenty of gas to get me there. I don't want to be running late. I'm just going to go get gas afterwards. That makes sense, right? Are we on the same page? If you have three or four tick marks, like the gas light just came on, that's like a very like, hey, just FYI. And the next couple of days you might want to get some gas, you know, that's not like, you know, this is emergency. Now, I will say to, no, that's not true. I don't want to say that because my car does have like a countdown. This is how many miles you have left. But I have to like scroll over to the screen.
It's not like in front of my face all the time, you know, like I don't have it like this many miles. It's just you have to look for it. Like scroll through. So it's not like on my standard little like dash thing. But again, I have enough tick marks. I'm fine. So I was like, okay, listen, I don't want to, I don't want to waste time. I'll go get gas afterwards. Totally fine. No problem. So I go again, height 15 minutes away. I got plenty of time, plenty of gas. This should be fine. I go to this hike. Now when I get to this hike, the parking is off road, right? So I do have to like park at an angle. So now if you're watching the video version of this, I'm parked like at a diagonal. Now this is the part that really scares me. Anyway, I don't think, I don't think twice about it though. Okay. I go, I come back. I crank my car. And it's like, I don't know. I'm like, oh no. I was like, I don't know what that sound is because obviously no adult knows that sound is.
But I'm pretty sure that means I don't have any gas in my car. But I'm like, but they can't be right because I had ample gas in my car. You know, like the light just came on last night. It's fine. Right? So then I get, you know, let me try this again. And I'm like, like, oh, man, like there's no way. I got to have, I got to have gas, right? So I'm like, damn, I guess, I guess that means I'm not a gas. I mean, I guess like, damn, that sucks. Like what? The first time I'm going to beat myself up, but I'm like, okay, whatever. Like it is what it is. All right. There's, there's, I look it up. There's a gas station mile away. This girl down with you like, listen, I'll go get some gas. And that's all good. It's all good. I'm like, okay, cool. I'll wait here totally fine. Now that's the first of that was my first mistake. I don't know why I didn't go the first time anyway. It's no problem. It's no problem. It's not in that big. At this point, it's like not even, it's like a little bit embarrassing, but it's not a big deal. It's not a big.
It's like it's at best. Okay, wait. So y'all are in separate cars. Yes. And she is going to go and you're going to wait there at your car. at best, at best, a little masculinity, at best, at best, at worst, at worst, a little amazing. But like nothing, you know, it's just a little, a little out of gas, no crisis is happening. In a safe spot. It's in the middle of the day. Everything is fine. How did nice five mile hike? Everything is good. Right. So couple of minutes about why didn't you go with it to the gas store? Let me tell the story because again things are happening fast. It's interesting. Yeah. Yeah. Why didn't I go? I don't know. And I can say why didn't I go? I don't know that I would do anything different though. About 10 minutes later, she comes back and she has, well, first off, she calls me. And this is and this is you're right. Why didn't I go? Why didn't I go? She calls me from the gas station and she's like, hey,
how do you do this? And I'm like, do what? And she's like, well, how do you like, how do you get like the gas and my thing? And I'm like, what do you mean? And she's like, well, we don't know. I'm like, who is we? She's like, oh, this is Doug Yancey. And I'm like, what do you mean Doug Yancey? Isn't that funny? He has your name. I'm like, who, first off, who are you talking about? Who? She's like, oh, I didn't know how to do this. And so I asked this guy, who is here? I his name, he's got the same last name as you. Also, he listens to the radio show. I told him it's Kramer that stuck with no gas. I'm like, first off, why are you, first why are you telling this whole guy the story? There's no reason to tell this whole guy the story. You have to do any of this, okay? So she's like, well, we can't really figure out. Like, we don't really know how this works. And I'm like, oh, my God. Okay. Well, you just got to like, just just like, just just pump it up. Just just just fill it up and like, just get back over here. She's like, oh, we can't really, we don't really know how it works. I'm like, well, like just,
like, put it just just just just fill it up and then just bring it back over here and what it's filled the car up. So she's like, okay, well, he doesn't know how to do it. I don't know how to do it. Like, I'm like, okay, well, I'm sure between the two of you guys that you can figure, I was like, don't you like walk up there? Are you can you guys get this nice thing? No, we'll figure it on. Okay, cool. So like three minutes later, she called me. She's like, hey, um, do, do I need to roll my windows down in the car? Because like, it's smelling really like gas in here. I'm like, did you not seal the gas up? And she's like, no, we couldn't really figure out how to like seal it. So I'm just like, I'm just hoping it doesn't spill all over the car. And I was like, what are you doing? No, you can't like, you can't like have gas like opening your car. Dude, like, yes, roll your windows down. You can't just be in your sealed car with like gas fumes. That's so dangerous. So anyway, a couple minutes later, she gets there and she shows up
and she has one gallon of gas. Okay. So like the one little tiny little gallon gas, right? And I'm like, okay, like this is, this is fine. I mean, I'm not, I'm not trying to like, you know, drive, you know, to like in Georgia. Like I'm just trying to get the gas station. The gallon gas should be fine, right? So very thankful, you know, she gives me the gallon gas and put it in the tank and I go, go to cook up my car. And it's like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, and I'm like, wait, huh? What? There's no way. Like I just put a gallon of gas in my car. Like, what do you mean? What do you mean? So then I, um, I might do it. Is it, is it, am I out of gas? Or do I get, you know, I don't know cars that well. You know that. So I was like, maybe it's not, maybe it's not my, yes, I was like, dude, I hate to ask this, but like, can we go get it? I don't know what else to do. I maybe it just needs more than a gallon, which sounds crazy. Because like, I mean, again, it wasn't even that empty, but do you mind if we just go get another gallon?
I don't really know what else to do at this point. She's like, I mean, yeah, I mean, it's fine. But I was like, this time I'm going because like, I don't, that whole first time was just chaos. That was, that was my, that was my bet. I should have gone. I should have gone. And did she have the gallon gas can? Or did you know we had to buy it? We had to buy it from it. So she had to buy it. It was whole thing. Yeah. So, oh, God, we bought this one, this is one gallon gas thing. So, drive back to the gas station about five minutes. Get up there. I put a gallon gas in there. Drive back to the car. Put the gallon of gas. Now I've got two gallons of gas in the car. I'm like, okay, this is fine. We're good to go. It's all no more drama. Can move on with the day. Yo, put another gallon of gas in the car. Crank the car. Yeah. I'm like, wait, what? Like, what do you mean? What do you mean? Not? No. What do you mean? It's not cranky. And then so then I'm like, is it something else? Like, there's got to be this kind of another issue. This can't be a gas issue. This doesn't make any sense. Again, I wasn't that and I put two gallons of gas in this car. I think only holds 18 gallons or something. It's like,
it's like two 18th full of whatever that math is. One ninth. Okay. Like, so I'm like, do and I like, I don't know what else to say. I was like, do we go back? I mean, I thought we have to go back and like, do this again. Right? So I'm like, no, you know what? Fuck this. This is crazy. I'm like, okay, here's a deal. We're going to go back to the gas station. Okay. But this time, I'm going to buy the five gallon tank because I can't, we can't keep going back and forth all day. Like, we've been this way for like 30 minutes and like 45 minutes in this project. So like, you know what? All right. That's it. We're going back. We're going back. Now at this point, keep in mind, the 20, I mean, the one gallon tank was, was $20. The five gallon tank is $30. But I wish it was bought in the first place. But again, I don't know. I don't think any of us knew how much gas we were going to need. Because you weren't there. I don't know that I would have done any different. Honestly, God, I didn't think I would need five gallons of gas. True.
I would have easily thought that one gallon of gas would have gotten me to the gas station, you know? Yeah. I'm like, you know what? Fuck it. But now we've spent $50 in gas containers. But I'm like, I don't know what else to do. Like, I don't think I have another option. Oh, God. So I bought an almost $50 in gas. I'm like, I spent $100. Y'all because I didn't want to stop the gas station. So I filled this five gallon tank. This first of this thing weighs, you know, 150 pounds. So I'm like, what's this thing? You know, luckily, I seal it up correctly because I know how to like carry gas, which how do I know that I don't know. Again, I'm not that qualified to do this job either. I throw that bad boy in the back of a back up or car. We take it over there. Now, keep in mind, this this five gallon thing is a beast. It's not, you know, thinking about how much five gallons think about like you think about how much, you know, a gallon of milk cost. Okay. I mean, our ways. And then multiply that times five. All right. So now you're carrying that. And this thing is not
long story short. The gas starts spilling everywhere. So now as I'm trying to like lift this thing up and put this thing, because I don't think I even put the top. It was a little confusing. I'm like putting the little spout thing on it. I'm over here like trying to put it in the tank, but it's like coming out of the tank. It's coming out of the lid. It's pouring all down the side of my car. It's like pouring onto me. It's pouring out of my shoes and pouring out of the tires. It's like, it's just going everywhere. I don't know. I think I really got about two gallons out of that five gallons. The rest is all over the environment. Like I literally the amount of the amount of global warming I caused from this is probably awful. So I'm like, listen, if that's not enough, then like I don't know what else I can do. Okay. So at this point, I put in, I'm like, God help me. I crank the car. It cranks up. And here's the annoying part. After all that, then it goes from literally, it's below e for the first two. And then it goes to half a tank. And I'm like, Oh, now you want to be a half a tank. You now you want to be a half a tank. It just
cranks up real easy too. Just real easy, really easy, real, real nothing, nothing. You know, I just want to really just go. I mean, okay. So let's look back at the situation. Was it my fault? Yes. I don't know because I didn't know. First of all, I don't understand that like if you're parked in an angle that like your gas tanks not going to like read certain angles of the car, you know, like that's annoying. But now I promise you, I will never do that again, right? Could you have just pushed your car to level ground? That and I don't think that I could have to be honest with you because it was like on a ditch and like, I don't think I could have because at first I'm like, Dan, that's really smart. But then honestly, I don't think I could have because it was like beneath a tree. It was like in a tree ditch.
It was I don't know. I don't think I could have. It was not on it was not on pavement. So no, no, no. So would you not have also bought the one gallon? Would you not think that one gallon would have gotten you what you needed? Yes. So that's where I'm saying like I can't even really blame her for getting one gallon because I feel like the one gallon would have been just like just enough, you know, it would have been like more than enough. So oh my god. Yeah, less in lesson learn, less in learn the hard way, the expensive way. So then it's like here's what Marcy says never go lower than a quarter tank. I never go lower than half a tank. It's funny. Marcy is I really I don't I don't typically I'm usually pretty good about it. I'm usually pretty good about like usually like when my like is again my like came on and I was like I need obviously I'll get it. And then I wouldn't have ever thought like just being an angle was going to be like that much crazier. First of all, where mom, where are you going? I'm not literally
just got up and left. Mom, we're literally recording a nationally renowned podcast right now. Mom, what are you doing? What are you what what are the actual hell are you doing right now? I'm getting a tissue because I'm still sick. Oh, you could have just said that. And I I didn't bring tissue. That was really weird. It was really bizarre. Well, I mean it was going to miss me. Marcy. I'm literally I'm sitting here talking to you and you just leave. That was really bizarre. Anyway, I didn't yeah, I don't just FYI if you're low on gas and you're parked in Angle does don't do that because it's really that's really bad. Okay, so that was weird thing number one that happened this week. It was just weird weekend a couple of different reasons. Weird thing the number two that happened. Okay, so I did something, you know, I'm always hurt myself trying to to work out. Two things I'm not good at. Number one, getting yes. Number two, working out. I did something to my arm and I needed to I need to get a massage and I have a really good
massage woman. I really like her but she is like she is like she's intense. She's like I'm maybe ever had like an intense massage person but like when you find one you uh you know like you know that they're like I mean y'all if you're oh geez I y'all never miss Cynthia like I love Miss Cynthia but this woman I have now she is uh I mean what happened to me this weekend. I I don't even know this is real. I mean I even like there was there was a part of me when I left when I was like wait was that a dream or did that really happen? So I got something going on with like my my left shoulder slash back slash arm something and so I was like okay I need to go get a massage. Luckily my my woman had like one spot open on Sunday and my woman yeah what my massage therapist mom you're always correcting me. That's not massage woman. What do you always say? You know not
now. Not this massage mom. No mom is wrong in 90 days. No. I don't want to hear a fucking thing about mom's boy nothing nothing that's the rule. Okay I'll just sit here and be quiet. Yeah. So um I so I I went there and I was like hey I you know she was like oh she's like really good I will say she's like really good you kind of know she's there's something going on with like your rib and it's like this and it's that and it's this and then your neck and there's this and there's that and I was like okay cool like let's let's get this like soft. She's like I'm gonna do some things though they're pretty unconventional and I'm like what the hell is that happening you know like I don't know that I've ever done anything that was like unconventional she said you just gotta trust me I'm like all right so we start doing like pretty normal stuff first right first she starts to massage my shoulders my arm I cool she's like all right this is the part where it's kind of weird I'm like all right y'all she puts on a glove first of all I don't I don't know what's going on but here like it's like slap on like a latex glove and she's like all right I need you to open your mouth and I'm like what should I need you to open your
mouth I'm like okay she's all right so what I want to do is I'm gonna shove my fingers in the back of your throat okay oh and I'm gonna hold them there and it's gonna release your neck muscles I'm like I'm sorry what yeah so this is like a really unconventional type of massage they don't teach this is she's like level four something something I was like bro what like a level four what like I'm sorry like I don't know this is this is like something I was I've I've heard of this kind of thing but not not not in this sense um she's like yeah so just you just gotta trust me okay you're ready and I'm like I this is all moving so fast she's like all right one two three she shoves her fingers like in the back of my throat and I'll again you know what that does and she's like shove it and then like she's like shoving your figure like like not like down my
throat but like in the back of my throat and it's like painfully in the back of my throat she's like yeah just hang on all right just hang like like like loosen up loosen up but I'm like you'll loosen up like like like woman like your fingers in my throat like what are you talking I'm like so to say no you have to like like let loose like you're not doing it right I'm like I'm not what I'm sorry I didn't know there was a right and wrong way to do this I'm not this is not something that I typically like do you know like you just imagine land there I'm like uh-huh uh-huh uh-huh like uh-huh of course I can't like say I'm just like and then she's like okay she's okay okay good relax relax and I'm like okay then she like shoves her fingers like I don't know how to explain I guess like up in like the top while like gums or something I guess that's where you like I'm gonna talk about gums and like pushes her fingers between like my like in between my my cheek I guess and like holds that like like this like I'm here like right here I don't know where what is this like just cheek I guess right and she's like pinches that for like a minute I'm like
oh oh like I'm like she yeah this is really unconventional like we don't most people wouldn't do this uh I just it really loosens up you know you're you're you're you're you're neck muscle and and I'm like I've never has anybody ever heard of that before have you ever mom I mean you get a lot of massage I don't you know I don't have you ever heard of anyone shoving their fingers down like in your head massage therapist ever put their finger in your mouth ever for any reason what so ever absolutely not but the only thing I can think of right now is that if I were lying on a massage table and I were a guy and I and I and the woman said to me I'm going to do something that's unconventional and put on a late text line I'd be really scared man I was sitting now I don't I'd be really really scared I don't know where where you going with that what that is like I'm not sure what no no no no no I'm not quite sure what the world what did it work I mean
a little bit I guess like my neck my neck my neck lose her mind back it's not so great but I was like yo you just can't be shoving your I'll bet your throat now your throat's next you just can't be shoving your damn fingers and people's mouths like that like that's so oh my god that's such a wild thing and as far as I got to talk to the podcast about this because I was like I don't know that like anyone's ever had ever heard of it had like fingers and their mouth and I wish I was even dramatic about this but that's exactly how it went like that that's no exaggeration no like no bullshit but I'm like maybe maybe we should do the conventional stuff next time maybe we'll stick to like the you know the good old tried drew just you just run my back and we can call it a day right yeah work out my show just just that good old thing yeah rub my neck yeah just do that maybe yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah that stuff you know yeah yeah yeah cause football is back so Hilton called him me the superstition

that never learns permit oh my god remember the first time you drove a car oh my god that was so scary that was so scary so scary if you're if you're the passenger man I just remember just driving the first time you're like oh my god like I just uh uh the first like a couple of months and you're like I just don't eat but no um doesn't I use to get the car and I think about but remember you first started that was like such a crazy thing to learn how to do and I you don't think twice about he was getting there to do it remember first you're like I just don't even know uh uh this uh Nathaniel's crazy happy birthday uh and then yeah we said sorry he's a high school freshman who is in the marching band with his older sister and he also dances on the musical theater oh wait and also dances on a musical theater and hip-hop dance performance team okay that's also another drama boy kind of like musical like theater and stuff very uh creative juices yeah like that and then his hug your husband and his husband is 52 but want to admit it yeah I feel that
that's gonna be yeah 52 more 25 you know I'm saying uh still think he's 17 yo I feel it and I mean like you know I'm 43 and away uh is a wonderful husband and father I love them both very much oh sweet family this is so sweet all right well we got a lot to celebrate in this one mom we got wait do we have a husband's name we don't do we he just has been okay and Nathaniel got a lot of love in a husband which is like in my husband yeah we get a husband's name what's husband's name is he gonna name Amy like damn can the man just get some love in this like he's just a good name he's just a husband right he's a good husband just loving and the good loving what he's supposed to do husband mm-hmm right Amy Nathaniel and the good loving husband that he is all right so let's let's let's give these guys a birthday shout out and we will do it with my mom whenever you're ready mother
with my sick mom yeah but I'm gonna give it my best shot okay here we go happy birthday yeah happy birthday happy happy birthday to Nathaniel and loving husband oh yeah yeah yeah of Amy P.R. we love you so happy birthday to you wow as a bonus a lot of people celebrate that one all right happy birthday to you guys Amy thank you for the love and support we will have October dates available I don't know they'll be available soon you just be a little surprise for you guys okay let me see we're trying to see how long we've been going more or less we got time um mom wait your story was what I forget not the not the stories about Christmas invitation right Christmas time right so are we are we doing Christmas already like are you guys
are we doing Christmas is that the plan I've you guys already hopped into this because this is pretty wild so what happened so we got an evite to a Christmas party for December the 12th on September the 12th that is that is that is that is crazy like that's wild no we cannot even start to play that's wild that is like somebody's house yeah like a company thing or like a like a function no it's somebody that has a party every year at their house man and like what like why it just says come on over I just don't understand ain't drink be merry with your friends is it what's the what's the rationale behind this I don't know I have never received
an invitation short of a wedding invitation maybe more than 30 days out what like is that how how first off how a bit of a friends are these people can I you know I say bad things about this is gonna call it wrong there there are queen tenses is that narcissism perhaps like is that my party is so important I won't I won't talk trash about I mean I'm just wondering like possibly you know what I mean like is it just like my party is so important that I feel like I've got to send this invitation out because either a I need that many people to be at my party because I think it's that important like my brother admits like when he it's so funny because the version of my brother you know now is a complete different opposite version of my brother of like a few years ago he was like basically the great gatsby right he used to like throw these
crazy lavish parties at his million dollar house which means nothing now but thinking about what what a million dollar house was you know back in the day um you know in the middle of 10 years yeah in the middle of downtown Atlanta and have everybody over like that that made him feel like he was important you know what I mean so if you're sending out an invitation for a Christmas party in the beginning of September is that more just on you or it could also go the opposite way do you feel like are you like that big of an asshole that you think that people like your stupid Christmas party that much that they're like they're gonna be sure in book thank god Jennifer sent out that invitation I got a block mine December 14th off I can't imagine if she didn't send that out can you imagine Steve we missed that party what we have done you know I'm
really either side I'm like what is the what is this what is this you know what I mean and I'm like I'm been on this like what if you get the invitation it's crazy what is your first reaction well first of what what is your reaction of that mom are you are you my initial reaction was that's three months out I have no idea what I'll be doing in three months are you freaking can that makes me not want to go to the party what that makes me like that alone first of you know I'm not going period so it doesn't matter you can send to me you send me a genuine I'm not gonna show off like are you sending me the night before I'm not coming to your Christmas party well we've never been to this Christmas party yeah like I'm not getting getting invitations but so it doesn't matter um I am I'm not coming to your Christmas party um there's a lot um I don't know
I just don't know what that is Marcia says it's crazy just so that December does get crazy though and they they want to lock down their guest but like for what that's unusual right sure they have a good party that's on you right because you want to make sure that people are showing up for your party that has to be that has to be some kind of like you think you're so so important that like yeah you you couldn't imagine like you're not having like a packed house right it's like what else would it be for right type a personality you're right there's some people that you're right there are some people that are just like hey I just want to like get this done like she's probably already ordered the food yeah no 100% 100% food alcohol like already to get invitations she's one of those people that's gonna have the tree lining people out on Halloween you're right oh yeah oh yeah maybe I'm being too harsh maybe it's it's a complete
opposite maybe it's like yo she is just wants to get it because listen listen I listen on the guy that that goes to Iceland with two days notice this is true and most people plan that trip like six months out so it's true maybe maybe it's normal to start planning a Christmas party maybe it's not normal but like there's like spectrums right so like while yes three months out might be on like the long side I mean planning a Christmas party the day before it be like exactly like planning an Iceland trip a year out would probably be way too much right you wouldn't need a year for Iceland trip but there's two days before is insane so it's like planning a holiday party yeah like three months out might be crazy but also planning it the night before be crazy so it's like but how about like November 15th yeah to me to me that would be like so yeah yeah is that the window of when you get this 40 days 40 45 days out yeah yeah I was still
with seeing my little I'd be like it's it's on the early side but I'm not coming still doesn't matter but if you want to do it I wouldn't do it any sooner than that I'm still not coming but um thanks for the invitation I can't think honestly I cannot think of the last time I went to a holiday party I can't oh I don't think I've been to one ever anyone's personal holiday part no no no no I get invited a bunch I don't know any of them no where you should go don't want to don't want to go no no interest no matter who it is no well you go to you no that's not true I go to the company once you have to have to have a force to go because you have to yeah but I if people's personal parties if I get invited I'm like no no thanks doesn't interest me doesn't interest me you know what I mean well because you're not a small talker like I just don't want it yeah I don't and you don't drink that's all you do yeah I don't like it just at this parties is small talk
and it doesn't like I if I if I want to spend time with people I want to spend intimate time with I don't want to just go and say you're a one-on-one guy like I I want to like that means something to me being it's something being an event doesn't mean shit to me doesn't mean anything that doesn't mean like it doesn't mean anything to me doesn't mean like like just like I made your house and there's you know there's damn you know tensile up what does that mean doesn't mean anything doesn't mean I'm a good friend to you doesn't mean anything just something really doesn't mean anything just like everyone's saying like hide it to them like like like three minutes a piece it doesn't mean we're good friends like what good friends is like hey I know you like we're you know we we go to we can go to dinner and we can talk for five hours I'd love doing that but I do not want to go to your party with like 50 people I don't I know three of them I like one of them everyone's loud and drunk like I'm good I'm really good of that all right let's do a let's
feel mom to you all this is the segment we do my mom's favorite thing on the internet she saw it started because we first started this podcast honestly we weren't sure what we're gonna talk about so I said mom just send me your favorite things on the internet we'll talk about it she used to just send me Jesus chain letters and I said no and Jesus so we used to do this segment like once a day I think it was like once a day we did this segment and we we turned it into once a week where we just said all right you the one the favorite thing you saw at the internet this week and then we just do it once a month honestly this we we have narrowed this thing down tell me about what we found this week from mom 10 okay these are the phrases that Jin Zers can't stand their boomer parents and grandparents saying okay as a Jin Z I will I'll represent for my people all right Amy's Amy's husband uh-huh that's right we're both you're ready we're both 17 both all right you're both 17 go ahead you and Nathaniel could chime in yeah
we're all wrong Nathaniel Jones yeah he is yeah yeah yeah yeah okay no I actually I don't think he is I think he's younger than Jin Z I think he actually is the next generation I think Jin Z ended like a few years ago for like teenagers but it doesn't matter the joke wasn't the joke was even that good now we're we're going beyond it so it doesn't matter yeah right just it wasn't that good I'll cut this out though no show anyway yeah cut that out cut that out okay how about do it's I saying not as I do yeah y'all love that one even obviously in that now too anyway I do this I get my friends dating advice all the time and they'll be like you do the same thing I'm like this isn't about me this isn't about me right this isn't about you right now exactly stop different I've I've stopped reflecting right now okay this is not about this is about your dating life not about my dating life okay it's just not and this is what I think you should do yeah has nothing to do with what I write this is about what you should do with your life don't worry about my dating life it's fine my date life is fine all right what else this is kind of mean
I brought you into this world and I could take you out I'll be saying that stuff though I'll be saying that stuff nobody said that in our house I'm sure dad said that once or twice really no I hope if not worse I'm sure there's something on the lines of that I'm sure I'm sure how about I'll give you something to cry about I'm sure oh yeah I've heard that I'm sure yeah this should be things and Jimmy Yancy said to Steven Yancy growing up this is Steven Yancy's trauma unpacked as we're gonna rename this segment how about you can have privacy when you pay the rent I actually I will say will I mean again I'm not I'm not Gen Z some of this matter but um I had a lot of privacy growing up I'm probably too much privacy I'm not too much privacy in hindsight I would never I would never give my kids as much privacy as
y'all gave me ever ever ever or so dumb when it came to privacy I'll just be trusting me and you shouldn't you shouldn't why did y'all like what was wrong with you know why we were too trustworthy why were you though because you were a good kid I know it's still you never gave us that you never gave us a reason but every kid is bad you know what I mean like at the end of the day every kid is bad you're not bad no but every kid is bad like give them an inch and they're going to take a mile hmm you know what I mean does that make sense yeah yeah okay yeah you had a lot of freedom yeah I did we did give you a lot of freedom yeah yeah yeah sure what you did with it was your choice well I definitely took advantage of it I'll give it to you more only boring people are bored all right huh never heard that one okay kids are starving in the world and this is what you'll worried about I think I said that just at the beginning of this podcast I think you did I did
I did I did if you don't listen to watch the youtube version she literally started with that I did I did if y'all are on YouTube forgive this son but I can't close the blinds right now all right more what could you possibly have to be depressed oh yeah y'all love that one y'all love that one you can say that one every time you have everything in the world you have such a good life why would you say you're the other day you're like you have so many things to be grateful for yeah I probably did I probably did say that I've said a lot of wrong things just have to forgive me and move on man well go to therapy I'll do pretty bad didn't you I don't know what I said about good I don't know I don't know how I do probably not very good though
honestly you would give your kid a lot of freedom no no no I can't have no free kidding me no I can't have no freedom zero not one ounce of freedom my kid would not leave the house you would be monitoring everything everything only because of all the things you did when you weren't monitored and just I just know kids are man kids are wild wild wild and but again again it goes also back to the radio show for the worst case scenario for the last 20 years so I'm prepared prepared for the worst constantly constantly or wrong guard ready to go oh got it right all right y'all that's it for the show today thank you so much for being here we got a lot to talk about on Thursday hopefully you'll join certified fans again six bucks any nothing dollar and quarter a week there's nothing for you for us it's literally everything is what keeps the podcast going so thank you for that thank you to our
