But that does mean that we get to have someone new join us today. And we're very excited to welcome for the first time ever to The Damage Board. Resee Colbert, welcome to the show. Thank you John. I'm so happy to be here. We are stuck with Donald Trump, who as we pointed out in an interview yesterday with Dr. Vince Greenwood is probably a clinical psychopath who has no impulse control loves to dominate others and doesn't respond well to not having control over situations.

2:04And we're seeing that basically everywhere we look. But I want to start abroad with Iran, where we're in month, I don't know, feels like 30 of this stupid forever war. But anyway, it's been at least a month since Donald Trump even pretended to be doing diplomacy with them. There's been no good developments with that war, only what seems like more indications that it could widen throughout the region. And certainly ships are still being bombed in the straight of four moves. So the entire thing is pretty chaotic. So what does he do? Once again, threatens to destroy the entire country, I guess he said recently in an interview, I have a big decision coming up. Do I want to go in and annihilate them? Referring to the Iranian regime, we're going to charitably say maybe he means Iranians in general, I don't know. It's a big decision. Anything could happen with me, which, yeah, that's almost true. Just the bad stuff, like I don't know, coming to a quick rational diplomatic solution of the problem doesn't really feel like that could happen with him. But yeah, we might be massively bombing them, I suppose.

3:04And it's weird because I keep being told that they're begging for a deal. Why would you have to kill them all if they are really trying to make a deal with you? I don't necessarily understand that. But that said, while he's not doing anything diplomatic with Iran, supposedly with our regional allies, he is. He says that at a meeting at the UN, he's going to interface with them saying, I want to find out where they are and how they're doing. We've been very protective of them, which is kind of true kind of not. They've been hit by a number of rockets and drones. Trump declined to say whether he'll decide on the path forward before or after the midterms. And I don't know, I kind of feel, and this is where I want to bring Rice in. So Trump obviously campaigned on keeping us out of wars and that was a ridiculous joke. And now we have a midterm coming up where there might be strike back for the promises that he didn't keep. And like to not even tell us what you're planning to do until it's too late, vote wise. That seems kind of bad in a democracy, but what do you make of all this? Well, he changes his mind every five seconds. Anyway, maybe as fast as he changes his depends.

4:05And so I am not surprised that he is hedging because the reality is this has spiraled completely out of his control. Remember when people especially investors were delusional and they were thinking like, oh, this is going to come to us with resolution. Trump is going to get bored. He's going to take his toys and go home. But Iran had other plans. They're a lot more resilient than he expected. And then they had the ultimate card, which was the straighter her moose. Now the war is about getting the straighter her moose open, which was open before the war even began. And so I think that Donald Trump has no idea what's going on. He's surrounded by people like Pete Hegseth who also don't have any idea what's going on. And unfortunately, our military is paying the price. I'm sure you talked about already how Rachel Scott was reporting on images she's been receiving from troops that have shown extensive damage. So our capabilities are diminished. We have sunk hundreds of billions of dollars into a war that was completely unnecessary.

5:07And now the long term consequences are going to be more severe for Americans than we've had to pay so far. Well, look, I do have to disagree with you a little bit on Pete Hegseth. He's on the job. They did come out with more guidance on testosterone checks for the troops. So that should probably take care of every important thing. Yeah. You mentioned that originally people thought that Trump might just get bored with the war. And sure he could get bored and just stop the war. He could get bored and just continue the war and not really do anything. I mean, maybe he is bored. And that's why we're not really seeing any developments. I think he's gotten bored with diplomacy. I think he's even gotten bored with those little two minute like snuff films that they show him of your bombs being dropped and everything. I think he's just letting Pete Hegseth do whatever he wants over there, which is not good considering it's Pete Hegseth. But anyway, he doesn't have control over Iran. He does, in theory, have control over some of what happens here in the US, including in DC.

6:07And there too, he just wants to blow up everything. So yesterday in the show, we talked about how he is maybe planning to demolish the Kennedy Center. It might be happening literally now as we're doing the show. In any event, a judge is jumping out to tell him not to do that. A judge is issued an order requiring 30 day notice before the Kennedy Center is demolish saying to avoid any confusion on that score given more recent events like, I don't know, maybe the destruction of the East Wing or whatever. The court orders defendants to provide such notice and writing blah, blah, blah, blah, basically, you can't just go in and destroy it. So that's now a judicial order. And I don't know why I would believe that that would stop him at this point. I mean, let's say, we see that he go, we find out, no, the big balls hitting it, it's being knocked down. Yeah. Mike Johnson is going to like call for troops to get like, what do we think is going to happen? Well, there's no leverage on this completely unhinged president. I mean, unfortunately, when the Supreme Court gave him immunity, he took that very much

7:11seriously. And we've seen time and time again, when it comes to destroying things, he is all in and he doesn't care about anybody's court orders. So I just so heartbreaking as a person who has always thought of the Kennedy Center as one of my favorite places in DC, it is a majestic building. I don't know how Donald Trump could ever call it dilapidated or something that needs to be demolished. It is spectacular. And for him to come in there and try to destroy it is just another example of Donald Trump manufacturing a crisis that did not exist prior to him being in office and then coming up with the worst possible so-called solution to it. This is all about his ego, but how about this Donald Trump? Why don't you fix some of the things you've broken instead of continuing to break more things that you didn't even need to touch to begin with? Yeah, but by the way, I'm glad to hear that you have experience with it because I've been to DC a couple of times. I've never been to the Kennedy Center. I can't really speak to what its condition is.

8:13So I love having your perspective where you've actually been there. He would have you believe that it's like, you could just like push on it and it would fall over or something. I'm hearing that's not the case. No, not at all. I mean, listen, I was at D Nice. He did club quarantine literally days before Donald Trump got sworn in. It was like the last of the good old days. So we were partying up a storm. We were rocking that building. And so if it was going to come down, it would have came down with the way that we were doing the wobble and all the other things that we do. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the Kennedy Center aside from Donald Trump putting his stupid name on the building illegally. That's the only thing wrong with it. Well look, I want to, we've done a little bit of coverage of him putting his name on buildings. Let's mix it up and talk about how he wants to put his name on a different building, actually. There was an urgent motion filed to stop him carving his name onto the US Institute of Peace building. The people behind it say the building was largely funded by private donations to USIP as a tax exempt nonprofit corporation.

9:15There's a work of expressive architecture designed to be symbolic of the independent mission of peace, alteration of the design to impose a different message would cause irreparable harm. And look, there will never be a nut, like if he just walks through DC, there will never be enough times that he sees his name on a building. Every building has to have a stupid name. And all of the buildings to not have his name on. Like the Kennedy Center is a pretty ridiculous one because he has such bad taste when it comes to culture and everything. But the idea by the way. Yeah, exactly, exactly. But that also the Institute of Peace of all things you want to be on the, again, it's just ridiculous. And apparently they've already chosen a contractor to put his name on that one too. Probably a no bid one because he doesn't believe in actual government practices that are about getting the best bidder on it. But is he trolling us? Or is he that delusional peace is the last thing that should be associated with Donald Trump? I know he bullied that poor lady.

10:16And I believe it was Venezuela into sharing her Nobel Peace Prize with him. But come on, I think this is like peak communist behavior, by the way, because this was not a government building. You already pointed it out. It was something that was largely funded by private entities. And he took over it. Okay, Ken Jong Un, like what is happening right now? This is another ridiculous thing that Donald Trump is doing because he's like playing battleship and collecting boards on his chess board or something. It's completely ridiculous. Look, I have a young daughter, I believe in setting out incentives for good behavior. So how about this, Trump, if you can end the war in Iran, if you can resolve the situation between Ukraine and Russia, some sort of just piece for Gaza, you get your name on the Institute of Peace, how about that? I kind of doubt it. I'll give you two out of three. I'll give you two out of three. I kind of doubt that it's going to happen, actually. Maga has recently turned against one of their own Republican representatives because she actually told the truth from her perspective for once. So we're talking here about Maria Elvira Salazar recently released this ad. That's the president. Some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far. In July 50% of the 50,000 people that were detained had no criminal record. Be careful what your advisors are telling you about immigration policy. The same Hispanics who help you get to the White House in 2024 feel betrayed today.

12:20You can be for immigration what Lincoln was for slavery and Reagan was for communism. I'm not talking about giving them amnesty. I'm talking about giving them a dignified life in this promised land. I am Maria Elvira Salazar and I approve this message. So to be very clear as we go forward to the Republican reaction to that, she specifically said I'm not talking about giving them amnesty. But what she did say she wanted is for them to have a dignified life in this country, which I think that will anger a lot of Maga people more than the amnesty. Maybe they'd be willing to accept them being here, but not with dignity, not these people. Anyway, they're turning on her. Anthony Sabatini did the reflexive tweet that every right winger's just got loaded in the chamber, deported instantly. She has to be deported because she disagreed with the dear leader. Laura Lumer posted this. I read that that's way too long, but it's basically about how she's a traitor to Trump. Laura Lumer knew that she was a traitor and also Donald Trump is surrounded by bad advisors

13:24or whatever. And she has to say that because she can never say that Trump is wrong. Even if she disagrees with something that's happening, it has to be the advisors advised him poorly. Will Laura Lumer checkmate? He chose the advisors, you jackass. How is he not at least responsible for that? So anyway, she wants her out of there as well. There's no end to the number of people that Laura Lumer would like to deport. Christian Zehler tweeted Salazar shouldn't be allowed back into the White House. No meetings with the president. No meetings with the White House staff, no over-office, no congressional picnic, no Christmas parties or egg rolls. No egg rolls. Don't hit her so hard, she's already dead. These people are so ridiculous, they're cartoony-ish. What's fascinating to me about this recipe is she is just reflecting what the American people think about Donald Trump's immigration policy. The people support it. That doesn't mean that they support everything a stereotypical Democrat might say about immigration, but they don't like what they've seen out of this president. We'll put up this Fox News poll as you give me your thoughts and people could see that

14:27most think that it's gone too far. So she's way more in tune with the people than these responses saying that she should be deported. What do you think? Well, I think she's trying to save her own hide because she's very vulnerable Republican down there in Florida and there are a lot of people they had that I will vote Donald Trump and they can pack up out of here. The reality of those, she's being very disingenuous. We know that Donald Trump's immigration war has not been just about people who are here illegally. They've gone far beyond that. They've tried to attack birthright citizenship. They are revoking TPS status for various groups. They are picking people up who are going through the appropriate channels through the immigration process and what's even worse is when they make a mistake and they get a person who actually was born here and they deport them. Are they send Cubans to some country in Africa? They do not back down and so it's very disingenuous to act like this is just simply a matter of people

15:30going through the process. They Donald Trump's administration projects when it's 25 and the mega movement is all about making America wider again. And a lot of people are finding out that their proximity to whiteness is not protecting them. You're 100% right. And what I would love to see is Anthony Sabatini, Laura Lumer, Christian Zegler, all these people, super fired up. How dare you, Maria, how dare you betray? Do you think that if I were to search Twitter, I could find them that fired up when ice and border patrol gun down Renee Good or Alex Freddie or any of the other migrants too. I'm starting with the citizens because that should be the easiest case for them. I mean, surely you don't want US citizens being murdered by these federal agents. No, not a problem. No fiery tweets, no denunciations or anything like that. But if you turn against Donald Trump, then you've got to be stopped. It's just it's grotesque. And you're 100% right. We've been really focusing on this topic over the past year and a half.

16:31It was never about the worst of the worst. It was never about any of that. It was about removing anyone with a little bit of melon in their skin. Stephen Miller's one driving the strategy. Like what do we think was going to happen? Yep. Anyway, it's grotesque. Okay, well, I want to really drive home the chaos that we're experiencing in the government right now. Donald Trump's impulsivity. Here's a great example of it. Let's jump into this. Even Donald Trump's biggest buddies, the billionaires in the Epstein class are not exempt from his unhinged threats and rants. So we have him, we'll show you a video. It was at a Rose Garden dinner with a ton of executives from the fishing and hunting industry. Which makes sense. Donald Trump gives off such hunter and fisher vibes. He's a man of nature, Donald Trump anyway. He has this executive order that's reversing Biden era restrictions to modernize federal fisheries and eliminate unnecessary restrictions on hunters and anglers or whatever. I'm not here to debate the executive order. I'm here to talk about what he said to Johnny Morris, the CEO of Bass Pro Shops.

17:36Take a look. I'm doing another Biden disaster. That means you can sell a lot of fishing rods. Johnny, you're going to sell a lot of rods. I could have made it so you couldn't sell. You couldn't sell anything. I could have banned fishing. I'll tell you what, the power of this office is crazy. I could have banned fishing and driven Johnny right there, hell out of business. Okay. I think I'm going to do that. Just maybe just a quick order. Just for a day or two, till he calls me and says, please President, please. I'm putting me out of business there. Okay, so on some level, Donald Trump is joking there. I mean, he's kind of laughing at his own joke, I guess. And he is a troll. But like Donald Trump projects more than anyone else in human history. There is a grain of truth to what he's saying. He really is just sort of looking around and saying, what can I get away with? I could do literally anything. I want to ban fishing. Like he would care. Do you think he has ever baited a hook in his life?

18:39I think he's ever cleaned a fish. I don't even know if he's eaten a fish. Maybe a fish filet or something at McDonald's. But this is a dude who's just looking around like, I want to dominate somebody. I want to humiliate somebody. Hey, you Bass Pro Shops dude who's given me looks like $400,000. If you, you bastard, I'll ban your fishing. This dude is utterly unhandry. See, what do you think? He is un-edged. And you know, I listen of all the things that I cannot stand about Donald Trump. I do very much enjoy him humiliating people who have come to kiss the ring. Because what did you think was going to happen? This guy is a jerk. He is a great a butthole and a troll. And so yeah, if you pay your money and you go march down to the White House, then you deserve every kind of little ribbing that Donald Trump has to do. So I was entertained by it, but it's not entertaining that he gets to flirt with fascism just very casually and he frequently engages in it.

19:41But it's weird, you've solved the problem for them or so called solve the problem for them and you're still threatening them. Who does that? It's so strange. So I have two questions. So the first is rhetorical. Hey everybody, what do you think Fox News would say if Kamala Harris had said maybe we'll ban fishing. What do you think they'd say about that? And then yeah, I just thought I was going to be able. Anyway, I want to go to one more quote. Just in case we still have any Margaret people watching the clip, he said this, it was after his executive order. Is ammunition, led ammunition was a problem, huh? Is it better than other ammunition I assume? Huh? I don't know what the hell that means. So a lot of people are saying he doesn't know what was in his executive order, which is objectively true. He has no idea what was in the executive order. Maybe auto pen knows what was in it. I don't know. That's true, but also you know why he doesn't get any of that? It's because he doesn't know anything about ammunition, because he doesn't know anything about guns, because he doesn't actually care about any of that, which you don't have to.

20:43You may think it's totally cool or whatever that he doesn't care about guns. But like Maga thinks that he's one of them and they love guns. You think they have opinions on led ammunition or whatever? I don't even, I don't even, I'm not even like the most anti gun person in the world. But like he doesn't care about that. He doesn't fish. He doesn't hunt. He doesn't give a damn about literally any of this stuff and he doesn't even need to pretend anymore. He could shoot a bow hunter on Fifth Avenue and not lose a single voter I think. Anyway, final thoughts. No, I agree with you. I mean, he's just out here winging it, but I will say he's just a smidge more lucid than Mitch McConnell. But I don't know. Maybe I would prefer a Mitch McConnell vegetable brain and Donald Trump. So he could sit down somewhere and stop coming up with these hair brain schemes. Yeah, I think Mitch McConnell has more in common with the sort of worm you would bait a hook with than with thinking human at this point.

But I'm especially pissed off at him this week because he recessed the house which never

22:47works by the way to avoid impeachment articles on petex it. That's something that we absolutely should be litigating. And so shame on him, your garbage, Mike Johnson for that one. Exactly. I think we actually have a video that we can throw to Mike Johnson while we take a look at that. It's publicity stunt by someone who wants attention. It will immediately be tabled, of course. But we probably won't do that today. We'll probably do it when we come back. But it's a stunt. Secretary Hickseth is done extraordinary job in the Department of War. We're in the middle of international conflicts right now and we should not be playing games with national security. And I think that's how the members see this. Okay, so do you think like eventually they have to go back to work, right? Do you think there will eventually be a vote on this? Like why do you think you panic like that? Well, I think that they want to just distract with all their little culture wars and not really talk about the disaster that is the Iran war.

23:48And we are dealing with diminished capacity to the point that where the US has lived in Saudi Arabia hanging in this whole conflict with the youthies that is gearing up because of US policy. I'm not for a whole Middle Eastern war, world war, three or anything like that. But my whole point is that P. Hickseth has driven out leaders who are actually competent. He has focused on stupid dumb things and he is not getting the job done. If he was, then we wouldn't be seeing gas prices right now. These are why I just checked if you go to a Iran war cost tracker for Brown University. It's had $6.48 on average. That means our grocery bills are going up. Everything that we consume is going up. And P. Hickseth is at the forefront of f-ing this up. Yeah, no, you're 100% right. The idea that P. Hickseth does a great job at the Department of War. First of all, stop trying to make Department of War happen. That's just not going to happen. And he's done a great job at what? Increasing the percentage of shaved bare faces we have in the military.

24:50He is an identity politics brain riddled fool. That's all he cares about. It's gender, it's race. As you said, it's driving out people with decades of experience. If they disagree with him, definitely, if they're not alloyals. But also, if they're not a straight white male, they have no chance. We're losing this institutional capacity. And so what do you know? We're doing bad in a war when we're losing the people we need to potentially win it. And he's lying. He's lying constantly about the munitions we have remaining about the amount of damage that's been done to our bases, our vehicles, the number of casualties we've had. He's done the worst possible job. And what I think is fascinating about them recessing is he says it's a publicity stunt. And of course, it'll be tabled. Well, hold up a second. Why does it need to be tabled? I mean, if it's a ridiculous stunt and it wouldn't work, then just let it happen and it'll be voted down, right? Right. You don't have to tabled it if you are afraid. Yeah, exactly. And I want to think I neglected to mention is this is the same person that when the U.S.

25:53Navy ship, I hate to say it, whatever it was called, but it was basically at sea for eight months. And you had sailors starting to jump overboard or try to jump overboard. And instead of him apologizing, instead of him rectifying it, he charged one of the sailors for doing that. And he has retaliated against people who are under abhorrent conditions under his watch. And so that alone to me is grounds for impeachment. He has done a horrible job. He is treating the people in military like trash. So I'm going to add him. I know I'm pulling audible, but I'm going to add him to garbage people of the week, okay? They can huddle in there together. Okay, well, awesome. Great garbage person. My garbage person of the week is once again going to be Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who is in a reelection battle right now that she is regrettably somehow leading in. And here's the sort of ad that she's been running. Okay, ladies, Washington says you want your federal funding?

26:56Me to new teammate. Some girls. What? I'm real. Who thought this was a good idea? In 2024, the Biden administration said we must allow men to play women's sports, where we would lose millions in federal funding. We did not comply. I won the fight to keep men out of women's sports, locker rooms and restrooms. And I will always stand for what's right against the out of control left. Okay, that's obviously absolutely terrible. So you know what I decided to do before I respond to it? I'm going to do a little bit of research. Because I like to fact check claims that politicians make and it turned out that she did win that fight. They went in Arkansas from zero trans athletes competing to zero trans athletes competing after her efforts. They successfully won that non-issue fight. Because that's what she wants to run on. That's what she wants to talk about. Always, they didn't in the most dishonest way possible. And I don't just mean like that like as soon as she comes out, they got to put that

27:58twang in guitar music to make her seem energetic or charismatic or whatever. How many music choices do you think they went through before they were like, yeah, I guess she's charismatic with this? No, you notice what they always do? It's girls playing with men always. Why are the girls in high school and the dude they bring out 42 years old? Why is that? Because that's obviously not how it would work in practice. Is that perhaps an indication that you don't think you can win on the actual merits and you need to make up not just a hypothetical issue because this is an Arkansas, literally a hypothetical issue. It's not actually a thing that's happened. But then you have to make a version of it that also would never happen. It's just, it's grotesque, I hate this. I do think that the Republicans have sort of moved away from focusing on the trans stuff as much because I don't think that they see it as the winner that they used to. But she's still focusing on it, Rese. Well she has nothing else. And I personally would love to see her do a couple of laps in that little tri jacket. I don't think that she would be able to compete either. Okay, and so it's just ridiculous.

29:00People are actually really suffering. And all you have is this whole fictional issue. Like you said, there are zero percent of athletes are trans. And I thought that Donald Trump won the culture war when he came in there, right? That was the first thing he did. He banned this, banned that. And guess what your gases look like these days? Guess what your heating bill is going to look like in the winner because of this war on Iran being protracted. People need to get serious. And I think that it's going to take Republican voters, not just getting people off the couch, not just independents, but Republican voters deciding that they're going to get serious about participating and making this country better as opposed to being obsessed with making it more painful and worse for everybody else that's not like them. And when they do, if they ever do, maybe we can see some progress in playing these stupid games about people that are not bothering anybody. 100%. Yeah, it's just it's utterly embarrassing. I know there's some Republicans that probably like it or whatever. Let me just ask you a hypothetical question and this.

30:03If she could run ads about how awesome she's been on education or the economy or healthcare or infrastructure or literally environment, literally anything having to do with Arkansas, don't you think she would do that instead if she had something substantive to run on? But no, as always, the right has identity politics and the culture war and that's all they've ever had. Anyway, the more important point, I think maybe it's the fat guy layups. No, the more important point is that yeah, it's strange that he has to be campaigning in these states that should be, I'll just say layups for the Republicans in this particular case. And look, I don't know what good he's going to do, like say, Kennedy coming to your state,

33:10is that going to like move the polls, whatever, okay, go off boss. I don't know. But anyway, some of these states are way closer than they should be. So first of all in Kansas, bear in mind, Trump won that state less than two years ago by 17 points. And there in a new poll, Democrat Adam Hamilton is narrowly leading Republican Senator Roger Marshall in that race. This is a Hill Emerson college polling survey. Had Hamilton ahead by two percentage points, 45 to 43. Another four percent of respondents chose the Libertarian candidate, David Graham, 8% were still undecided. So look, that is within the margin of error. But it's Kansas everybody. We're not in Kansas anymore, except they are. In Kansas actually, we looked it up. The last time a Democrat won in Kansas was 1932. That was a long time ago. Mitch McConnell was in his mid 30s at that point. And that's how long ago it was since a Democrat actually won. And even other Republicans don't want Marshall.

34:12There's a lot of unpopular Republican candidates, but he's definitely one of them. Former governor Bill Graves is supporting the Democrat in this particular case. He said the Republican party to me today feels like sort of a bad frat party, which is definitely the case. Certainly it's chock full of potential sexual assaulters. So it makes sense. Anyway, that's not the only case where it's closer than it might seem like it would be. In Florida, Angie Nixon is tied in the most recent poll against Ashley Moody, 45, 45. And they make clear the sample is weighted to give Republicans the advantage that they have based on registration. And yet still, she's tied perhaps because she leads independence by 13 points, which is pretty awesome. And then of course, we can talk about how Texas is as close as it is. And Troy Jackson's leading Susan Collins up in Maine and Alaska is sort of in play. And they're talking about Ohio. All these states that you wouldn't necessarily expect to see it, Rese. Yeah. It could be an exciting midterm. What do you think? Well, it is.

35:13The background is is shockingly wide. I was thinking when Donald Trump got that trifecta said, oh, low, you could just kiss any kind of Democratic Senate goodbye until like 2030 at the earliest. And yet Donald Trump has gone in there and messed things up so bad and has been so disastrous and committed to his disastrous policies with Republicans being a lock step that people have no choice but to be like, we got to try something different. I feel like there were people who did kind of underestimate the amount that people were disgruntled with their economic situation in 2024. And people whittled everything down to racism and sexism. But I was one of those people who said, look, there are people who are not better off financially under Biden Harris, despite how much progress was made. Those people are even worse off right now, two years into this administration. And so those people are the ones that are going to decide the midterm. But I don't put too much stock in polls because I remember 2020, we were in COVID.

36:16And the Democrats were looking like we might get up to 60 seats and then everything kind of plummeted and reverted back to Republicans. So I will believe it when I see it. But this is obviously good news for Democrats. There's a really good crop of candidates. And like you said, really unpopular Republicans. So it's anybody's game at this point. If Democrats, especially the electorate, can quit with these intro party wars and focus on beating mega. That should be the singer of a goal. Yeah, I definitely agree with you. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Polls can be off in general. They've been polls that have been massively off so far this year. I will believe it when I see it and not on election day, by the way. I will believe it when they get sworn in. And then I blocked it in some way from it. Then I'll believe it a little, a little bit at that point. I have to say you have a little higher, you have a higher, it's a very inexpensive price to pay for what we've done. Remember that it's a little more. Even if it was frankly, even it was a lot more, but that's going to come tumbling down. That's going to be like a rocket ship in reverse. So leaving aside that the first example of something tumbling down his brain conjures

38:25up is a rocket falling out of the sky, which is dark. Okay, let's set that aside. So no, he can't show compassion. He says it's a little bit more, it's not a little bit more. No, it's actually for this point in the year, it's records that we're paying for gasoline. As my co-host Risi pointed out earlier for diesel, it's literally just a record. It is way higher. And people are rightly angry about that because it's much higher than it was. You campaigned on saying you'd get it much lower. You said in one year, gas prices would be 50% what they were when he was inaugurated. Instead, they're more than 50% higher. So yeah, we get to be a little bit mad about that. And I also think we should be even more mad because that is a guy once again telling us to suck it up, shut up and pay more, suffer a little bit when he doesn't have to suffer at all for the consequence of the war that he lied about and then started. He is a billionaire. He doesn't pump his own gas.

39:26He doesn't even know how much it costs, but he thinks that you should pay more. People should be filled with a white hot rage that they're not when these rich bastards condescend to us about the cost of living. Admittedly on this issue, people don't like him. As Harry Anten recently pointed out, his disapproval rate on gas prices is 80%. The highest it's ever been for a president, maybe on any issue. That's really bad. And the rest of the GOP isn't taking it very well, the situation they've been put on gas prices. So how's GOP leadership? They had a meeting where they got together and they talked about potentially suspending the gas tax leading up to the election to artificially take down the price of gas just a little bit. Representative Andy Harris liked that idea. He wanted to vote for it. And then Representative Sam Graves pointed out that when Biden suspended it, Harris called it in a tweet, suspending the federal gas tax is just another Biden administration stunt to distract from their self-inflicted crisis.

40:28Yeah, he did not like that hypocrisy being pointed out by Graves. He got so live it that began banging the desk yelling, there's a very war. This is war, which technically it is. Yeah, that's why the gas prices are up, you jackass, because we're an war that we shouldn't be in. Now he later said that he wasn't talking about being a war with Graves, but rather that the circumstances were different under Biden, which is true. We were coming out of the pandemic and a global supply chain collapse. This is just Trump starting a stupid war that he should have started. So they are different, but not in a way that makes it more justifiable to suspend it now. Just pressure Trump to end the war if you want to get the prices down. So yeah, they're being super hypocritical about that. They're probably really frustrated, Resey, that Donald Trump can't demonstrate any empathy or compassion and keeps spitting in people's faces, calling like the increase in gas prices peanuts. He's called it that before. It's embarrassing. What do you think? Well, you can't gas light over gas prices. And they're ready to do any more. It's too expensive.

41:28No, you literally can't. Americans have paid $109 billion more in gas prices, okay? The price of just regular fuel is up 50%. The price of diesel is up 75%. Compared to the start of the war, we're not talking about a year ago. We're talking about literally the day before Donald Trump started this war. It has cost an average household $836. You know what you're going to do? $136. Whole head $836 just laying around to say, hey, let's pay more in gas prices. This is actually incredibly disruptive, not just to everyday Americans who didn't have the money to spare to begin with, but to the truckers. It is killing truckers. It is so expensive to operate that it's going to eventually, if not already, impact our supply chain. So the fact that he number one doesn't care. And number two is not doing anything different in terms of his foreign policy to make this

42:33any better. And then number three, the fact that investors have finally figured out that we're in this for the long call. It means that these prices are going to continue to go up and they're going to stay up. Yeah, no, you're totally right. Yeah, it's not talked about enough that he is screwing over the truckers hardcore. Yes. He's been screwing over the farmers. He's screwing over the soldiers. Like all of these groups that are supposed to be protected classes for the Republicans. He seems to really have it in on them. And now we find out the hunter and the fisherman, he's thinking about banning what they want to do, just like a lark or whatever. So yeah, this guy is utterly out of control. By the way, just before we move on, I want to mention, so Fox News, they have claimed according to meaty matters, 188 times that high gas prices would be temporary. They claimed it one month into the war, two months, three months, four, five, six, seven, they'll keep 20, 30 months into war. They'll be like this thing. Oh, it's going to break real soon.

43:33That's the sort of propaganda. But as Risi pointed out, at a certain point, yeah, maybe I don't hear about it in the news, but you know where I hear about the gas price? When I'm pumping gas into my goddamn car. So it's hard to hide that from people. Okay, with that said, we're going to move into one more story to close up the hour. Cash Mattel's FBI recently warned ICE agents that they should probably take a cold shower because their terminal horniness might end up getting them doxed. Because apparently there is a group of women were being told who are putting on fake tradwife personas online on dating sites to trick ICE agents into giving up their personal information and maybe a selfie shot below the belt that the women then share on the internet to embarrass the men and maybe drive them out of ice or whatever. I don't know. So the FBI and Chicago disseminated a brief memo to other law enforcement officials across the US on the potential threat to agents back in February warning that as of late January 26, a small group of women were allegedly creating these fictitious online dating profiles

44:36with the purpose of attracting and then doxing law enforcement, participating in immigration enforcement. And that in particular they're using a tradwife aesthetic, which is the part of this that I think is so fascinating because you could dox an ICE agent with any identity, but they seem to get that doing it as a tradwife is more likely to work, which says something about the guys in ICE that I think is very funny. Now, the FBI report was pretty unspecific. I didn't say which dating sites were being used, where the agents were located, or if any of this doxing had actually happened. And so some people are questioning whether this is actually happening. Like Libs of TikTok was talking about it a bunch, but I've noticed that in the past Libs of TikTok is willing to lie if they think that it helps their sides. I'm not sure about that. We do know that ICE doxing stories have come out pretty frequently over the past year and a half and then turned out not to really have any evidence behind them. So in October of 2025, there was a report from the US Army that there was credible intelligence

45:37that car tells had offered to pay gang members and others in the US to dox assault or kidnap immigration officers. In November of that year, the FBI warned that AI, facial recognition and automated data scraping tools that increased the scale and accuracy of doxing attacks targeting ICE officers. Oh, that's fascinating. Maybe we shouldn't put flat cameras literally everywhere and have AI and metaglasses. Maybe we should actually pump the brakes just to protect ICE, of course. And then there's other stuff like that. And so why would you make this stuff up? So first of all, I'm not saying that it's being made up, but if you were to, there's a reason. They like the idea the victimhood narrative for the ICE officers and the Border Patrol officers because the news about what they're doing out there running a muck across America is really bad. Bad news cycles when you shoot a mom in the face. And so if you can instead pretend that no actually ICE is the victims, everybody's gun and for ICE, then maybe people will back off. I don't think that that's working, Rese, but that's one potential explanation.

46:38This is just speculation from me. What do you think? Well, yeah, I mean, who's going to be sympathetic to these ICE agents? First of all, they shouldn't even have to be doxed and they shouldn't have to be uncovered because they shouldn't be wearing masks to begin with. They shouldn't be invading our streets. ICE is not law enforcement. They do not have jurisdiction over American citizens. And yet they have been deployed. I'll put that nicely around to harass and to round up people just for Ss and Gs. And so I don't have any sympathy for them. But I will say that insider threat is a very real thing. And I think that this administration has been very lax with it. You saw a cash patell who basically is allowing Bstiality or saying that that's not disqualifying you anymore or sex work, which I'm pro sex work. But the problem with it is that you can compromise agents and get information that could have adverse national security impacts. And so I'm actually a little hard to say that they're taking any part of it seriously if it is even happening because there are very real threats and there are very well consequences

47:38not to ICE agents screw them. But to other people within the FBI that are protecting us and very. I think it's pretty fascinating how like the narrative that I'm getting from all of this news is that the sort of MAGA people who would become federal agents under Trump, they're in-sell nature is undercutting them over and over. Like they might get docks because of it. Maybe they cozy up to an animal or whatever. What how did the kids say if they just got that dog in them or whatever, maybe literally. Yeah, just like just be normal. Made a little bit and then you won't get in so much trouble. Donald Trump isn't the only one with Canada derangement syndrome because he's been working to poison his followers brains against our northern neighbors and at least for a few of them it appears to be working. So we told you in the last week that the Buffalo Bills were going to do this thing where because

48:41they have so many Canadian season ticket holders and visitors who come to the games, they were going to play the Canadian national anthem and they did go ahead with that. Which I love to see it, they didn't back off after the criticism that they got. And so if we bring up this, you can see a shot of the Canadian flag on the field during the playing of O Canada. I think it was the bear naked ladies that did it. Now Maga, they told us we're going to be triggered by this. We're going to peer pants and we're going to tell you about it and they in fact did. So let's start with outkicked sports writer John Rude who said, singing the Canadian national anthem at the Buffalo Bills homeowner was a home opener, was a mistake. There's zero reason to honor a foreign country when a Canadian team is not involved in this game whatsoever. This was an idiotic decision. So first of all, there is literally not zero reason. There's the reason that I provided and that many people have provided. It's because they're close to Canada, there's a 10 Canadians that come to the games. It's a small market, they need those Canadians.

49:42They're trying to be invited to the Canadians. That's a reason. You don't have to say it's a good reason. You don't have to say that it's enough, but it is a reason. Stop straw manning Jesus. And it was an idiotic decision. Let's say, worst case scenario, that you think it's pointless. Then what's what happened? You listened to an anthem for three minutes. Okay. Is that an idiotic decision? Like they didn't, like, sure, they didn't like stock the stadium with a food that gave diarrhea to 80% of the people. There that would be an idiotic decision. This is just a thing that triggered you. You could have not been triggered. Did you consider that? Anyway, others were mad too. LD says, what in the world did I just watch? The Lions Bill's game just started off with the Canadian national anthem. I SU not and it's being played in Buffalo, New York. Well, that's, you didn't really add anything to the discussion. But anyway, Texas Patriot says, what in the world did I just watch? Lions Bill game just started off with, hey, wait a second.

50:43That's the same message twice. Now unless they're, I don't know, twins separated at birth that have maintained a cosmic connection so that they have the same political views, I think that might be bots that are pretended to have a problem with it. Wait, Texas Patriot, are you not really in Texas? Are you not really a Patriot? Are you an Eastern European bot? I think that's probably the most likely outcome here. How sad that that's what the pushback is coming from. It's just bots. Anyway, our last critical response will be from Josh Denny who acknowledged why they're doing it before crying himself. So he says, hey, Buffalo, I don't care how much Canadians spend on your sports teams, stop singing in other countries anthem on you as soil. The contempt, all the Canadians have for America in these comments is exactly why we shouldn't be doing it. But again, you already described why they're doing it. I love how often over the past few years it's been normalized that the Republicans whine about something as if it's woke when they seem to understand that it's capitalism.

51:47They're just pursuing profit. That's the only reason any of these corporations do any of these things. And you supposedly want capitalism. You want it to be unregulated, unfettered. But not if it hurts my fee fees, I guess. Anyway, I don't want to leave you thinking that it was all criticism. Many Canadians did seem to appreciate the gesture. If you take a look at right here, shout out to the Buffalo Bills. It was special, something you don't see every day, standing ovation. By the way, kind of seemed like the people that were actually at the game didn't have a problem with it. Maybe defer to them. If you're thousands of miles away peeing your khakis about a song being played at a game you weren't at. But anyway, that's why they did it. Because Canadians or just people in general will like it, not just Canadians by the way. Canadians who think that the brewing tensions between our countries is pointless and self-destructive, counterproductive. They'll like this. That's a good thing for the bills. So I'm glad that they did it.
