Every game day you show up for your team. Now it's your time. We go, we go, we go, we go. Ask your prescriber about Wigovie, some Maglatide Injection 2.4 mg, a G.O.P.1. Call 1-8-3-3-4 Wigovie or visit Wigovie.com to view the Medication Guide and to learn more about Wigovie. Why wait? We go, we go. Callers Football is back. So Hilton called to me the superstition concierge to make your fan rituals a reality. Need a room to match your lucky number? We got you. Want to make sure our team doesn't wash your lucky jersey? Oho, that smells lucky. Hilton's unmatched hospitality can keep up with any superstition. Even a marching bandwicker call at 555 and 55 seconds. Hit it! When you need a team that will do whatever it takes on game day, it matters where you stay. Hilton, for this day.

Music Does this keep my watch? And I listen to the Carbine Cricket podcast. What the- A. Fam, I'm back. One half the Carbine Cricket podcast match else in Patrick Cuey. He doesn't know the Dunno or Ready. West Indies 2, Sri Lanka 1. This was going to be sent out in I spoke earlier today and we were like, ah, should we record a video looking back at the T20 series? And I said, I don't know if there's any point in terms of doing it in the conventional way. Because all of the matches took place at 1.30 in the morning, UK time. And I'm not even going to try in front. I'm not going to try and lie to people. I watched the first one on what was that? I think it was Thursday. That was Friday morning. UK time. I watched the first one.

And I don't know about you, lot, right? Do you know when you know you're getting old? You know you're getting old when you can't do things that you used to take for granted, right? And one of those things that I used to be able to do that I took for granted was staying up mad, mad, uh, into the early hours. And just watching sport, watching wrestling, paper views, whatever it might be, and just being able to get up like, I don't know, five, six hours later and just live my life. Anyways, so I, that Friday morning, for the first T20, which I'll see that West Indies won, I stayed up for it and paid for it for the rest of the weekend. Saturday, I was completely finished. I hadn't even recovered by Sunday. It's only now on Monday that I've properly recovered from, from staying up for that first T20. So the second, uh, the second T20 and the third T20, that was a highlights thing for me.

But all that notwithstanding, we have to reflect on the two one series win against Sri Lanka. This episode is only lasting. It's a live one, obviously. It's only lasting as long as 50 minutes maximum. Uh, because I'm going to go watch the next World Cup game. I can't remember who it is. There's playing, uh, Saudi Arabia versus Uruguay. So I'm going to go watch that game. Um, so there, there is a point in the show where the thing will look off no matter what. So the point of this episode and why I've done it as a live is because how can Santokini reflect on the series win, where we weren't even awake for the majority of it, right? Um, so this one is about audience participation. You bring the talking points. We have the discussion. I'm going to do a calling. Hmm, possibly, possibly somebody's got a point that's good enough to raise that's worth calling in for. That maybe I might do a little one, two calling, but chances are, of course, certain, certain, a man enough to talk too much.

Um, chances are we won't do a calling. But first things first, before we get into the comments, in fact, let's get to the first few comments. Uh, bumchum says, it's 34 year old young Ross, the real Thanos. Young Ross, who the hell's young Ross? What? Who is young, young gross, you mean? Anyways, what's, anyways, Thanos is Thanos. Uh, Bishop Dragon says, uh, this was a pleasant series victory for the windies. Yeah, any, and that's the thing. Any, any win, I think if you're a proper CCP supporter, you, you, you will have heard me say this so many times now. Any West Indies win is a positive. So first and foremost, yeah, we can talk about this. And we can dissect that and we can talk about that player and we can talk about this player, etc. And there'll be validity in doing so. But first and foremost, I don't know about you lot, but me as a West Indies fan, I do not turn my nose up at any West Indies victory. Any series victory is a positive.

So I take this as a positive kudos to Darren Sammy kudos to the team. Only the most, um, embittered and curmudgeonly of West Indies fans will, um, find a way to complain about this. A win is a win is a win is a win. Uh, Anthony says, I'm still a young man. Boy, my body don't feel like it. Today, I woke up today for work and, um, I sneezed. I sneezed. All I did was sneeze, you know, I sneezed. And let me tell you, you see, after I put down that one sneeze, my back has been in agony the whole day. Well, soon I got home today. I had to apply some deep heat to my back. I've been in agony. All I did was a one sneeze, you know, I'm getting old out here. I'm, I'm an old uncle out here. Let's get through some more comments. Uh, the great Carly says, I ain't happy by how we did it at home, but we did it anyways. Well done, power, rather, for all format, Joseph and clutch holder last night. Yes, fair enough.

Uh, TJ says, I'm saying up the World Cup and cricket. I'm trying my best. I'm trying my best. I've watched, I just finished watching Belgian versus Egypt. Didn't get home in time for Spain versus Cape Verde. Um, but I will be watching Saudi Arabia versus Uruguay. And then I'll probably go to my bed. Um, Kira, big up Kira. Uh, shirts, uh, CCP shirts just arrived for her. So I'll be up to Kira. Um, she says, I went to bed, but woke up just in time to see the last over. I thought I was dreaming. NG says very good evening. Big up to NG. Is that NG? Is that the NG? I think it is. See in League one next season. If it is the NG that I think it is, we're going to, we're going to, if that is the NG, I think it is, we're going to give, probably are going to give you that work next season. We're going to give you that six one work, um, in League one. That's if it's who I think it is. Otherwise, I'm talking to someone. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Um, right. Okay. Um,

Ian's in the chat. Good evening to you, Ian. Uh, Rod says good to see some younger guys in and around the team. Uh, Inner says Jason Holder is what the English think Stokes is. Okay, that's an argument. Jason Holder or Ben Stokes. That's a good, okay. Cause remember, I mean, when remember me had that COVID tour in 2020. And there was that kind of who's the best like it was, it was build as like the battle of the all rounders, the great all rounders. Where do we stand on that now? So Ben Stokes is 35. Jason Holder is 34. Um, who's the better all rounder now? And don't try and do, don't try and do the reasons he buys us. Just because you saw Jason do one two things yesterday. Who actually is the better all rounder out of Ben Stokes? Uh, and Jason Holder coming just that's coming to facts. Um, let's go through through actually. Before I go to a few more cups, you got a friend in the comments boy. Like share, subscribe, hit the notification bell, share this. I don't actually there's there's probably a few places.

Let me try and fix the light and I'm missing. There's probably a few places where I should share, um, CCP that I don't know about. So you don't need to do that for me and to share it in the right places. I don't, I don't buy bots for the channel. Some people buy bots to boost their numbers. Arthing, arthing is purely organic. So you don't have to share it for me. Uh, and make sure it reaches the right places. Nics is in the is in is in the arm chat. Nics says I'm still taking Stokes on a skill level. But fitness wise Stokes seems broken. A butter, a barmer, a rack, a barmer says Holder is the better Bola Stokes is the better batter. Yeah, fine, but then who's the better all rounder? Um, Ian says the difference of playing all of your Yes there, presumably to make yesterday because yeah, we only played five Bolas yesterday, all the front five, uh, they dropped Ramayra or Shepard and Shemar spring a call back Jason Holden and play the Gimelgees, um,

which meant that because Shepard was out the team, it meant we had to basically tell our five frontline Bolas to bowl out their allocation. So Matthew Ford, uh, Keel has saying, uh, Jason Holder, uh, Shemar Josie from Ross and Chase just bowled out the 20. So I think this is the point that Ian is talking about. Here, uh, let's keep going. Let's get over a hundred people. We're over a hundred. The second the go is dipped under again. Share this in your WhatsApp. Share it, share it in your tick tacks. Share it in your top tics. Um, share it in your snapchats. Share it in your Facebook's. Share it people. Let's get the people in live. There's 40 more minutes left of this show before I go to watch Saudi Arabia versus Uruguay. Um, um, T. J says hold was a key player with bat and boy, a stay he won both matches when he played. That's true. Um, Rod says, I hope we truly appreciate what Jason has given to us in his cricket. Yep. I've got an article that I'm cooking up on Jason Holder. Uh, look out for that to drop.

Hopefully Wednesday, maybe, maybe Thursday. Um, a Barma says, I'm worried about our spinners. A keel looked out of form and multi didn't even play. Yeah, what was up with the multi decision? That was interesting because remember multi come back. So it's a thing, but then how do you? This is a good, this is a good, um, problem to have though. How do we fit multi back into the T 20 side? Um, it's, um, it's a genuinely good question to have. And actually, let's, let's, let's have that as our first, um, let's have that as our first talking point. Is Nick still in the, is Nick still in the live? I might bring niques on, you know, because I know I can have a good chat with niques. Um, let me put this talking point in the light. Let's do, okay, let's, we got 40 minutes left of this show before I run off to watch World Cup. So let's put some key talking points in the live and from the two one series winner, let's dissect these talking points. So talking point number one. Let's call this talking point number one.

Because man, uh, man gets who writes for Caribbean cricket news, uh, wrote this in his article, uh, for Caribbean cricket news. Hold on, let me just, uh, put the link to Caribbean cricket news, um, in the, uh, where we go and put on the ticker tape. And there we go. So not all of you are subscribed to Caribbean cricket news. But, um, if you go to Caribbeancricketnews.com, press.measure, it's the site that I created where you get the best writing on West Indies Cricket. Um, and there's a few guests contributors on there. I try to write one bad boy art. Ah, my toe, cuz. Ah, Dr T C. Ah, my toe. Ah, just been up my toe, cuz. Ah, anyways, I'm back. Um, yes, so on Caribbean cricket news. It's up, counter-fressed.media. Um, I put down some, uh, piece of bad, uh, bad boy pieces of writing on there.

So anyways, man gets you one of the guest contributors on, on Caribbean cricket news. Um, he, um, he dropped an article after the first, uh, he joined the not, uh, he dropped an article after the first T20. And, um, and, uh, let me get the point. This was the point that he was making. Right. So this is our first talking point of the show. He said there is an issue with the openers for 2020, A. Now, I'm, I'm paraphrasing man gets his point. You can read it. The articles free to read. Not all the articles on carrot, not all of the articles on Caribbean cricket news of free to read, but this one is. And man gets his point was that we've just come out of a world cup cycle. Neeks, you ready by the way? Um, let me, let me know when you're ready to jump on the live, because you, you would be a good point to, you would be a good person, sorry to discuss this point. Because I know how you think, I know, I know how your mind works and how you think about things. So, um, man gets said, um, we've just come out.

Let me send the link to leaks. Um, how do I send this to leaks now? I don't know. Where's my phone? Oh, here is. Um, so, have I got, fam, leaks asking me to send link. Okay, yeah, do not need some. I'm just going to put in the chat, but then other people are going to think they can come on. When I put this link in the chat, people just know it's for leaks. Anyways, so, um, man gets said, man gets said, let's get to the point because I'm waffling. Man gets said, um, we've just come out of a World Cup cycle, um, in 2026. And he says, we've got our next World Cup in 2028, two years from now. Normally when you come out of a World Cup cycle granted the T20 World Cup, they're quite frequent. Normally you start to succession plan. Um, and so Brandon King is 31 years old. Right. Um, and Shay Hope. Brandon turns 32 in December. So there's, he's a ways of yet. Shay Hope is 32 and Shay turns 33 in November.

Now two years from now, 2028, Shay will be 34. Brandon will be 33. Man gets his point was, we already know what Shay Hope and Brandon King can do. And if West Indies want to reach the next level for the 2028 World Cup, which will be in Australia and New Zealand, we need to now start thinking about succession plan. I am not here to say that I agree with man, Gesh's point. I'm not, I'm not totally sold on his point. In so much as if King and Hope are still our best T20 batters in two years time, then they go to the World Cup. Simple. I don't think cricket is like some other sports where you write people off at 33 and 34. I know West Indies love to write people off, but cricket ain't like other sports where you write off people in their mid-30s or approaching their mid-30s. Certainly not someone like Shay Hope anyways, right? And West Indies aren't blessed with enough matured talent to start cycling out.

Somebody like Shay Hope or even a Brandon King. But man, Gesh does have a point to say that we kind of already know where the ceiling of a King Hope partnership goes. So he's like, you need to now start bringing in your a key more geese. And if you're going to play a bilateral series friendly against Sri Lanka and not try some new people at the top of the order, when will you try them? And are we going to waste the next two years of a World Cup cycle, basically go into the next World Cup with pretty much the same squad? So right now our top six in T-20s is essentially King Hope, Hitmeyer, Powell, Rutherford, and probably throwing holder maybe in that top six. Is holder, yeah holder, Chase, that's your seven, Matthew Ford, Romaro Shepherd.

That's probably your seven eight, right? So where do you not stand on that? Should we be trying to bring in a couple of Yutemen to develop them? Or is it a case of we already know what our best squad is? And we ain't in no position to be bringing in Yutemen for the sake of bringing in Yutemen when we, it's not like we're not like England, I shouldn't even use England, we're not like Australia and India where we can, we're not even like New Zealand, where we can afford to just rest man because we don't win, we don't win enough as it is, so we're not as blessed as other teams to just be like, let's just rest a couple of men and see what the others are saying because in West Indies cricket, and this is where I feel a bit sorry for Darren Sammy, everything is judged by did we win? Nobody in West Indies cricket, we don't think about well, short term pain for long term gain.

Everyone's thinking about short term cuss out if you don't win, so if you're a head coach, you is a fine balance in that to manage the West Indian public demanding victories versus trying to Yutemen out for long term gain. Like I say, I've got no particular horse in this particular race, but I am intrigued to see what people feel about this particular talking point. Actually, Ian raises a good point here, Ian says, what about Django, they haven't even given Django a chance yet, much less the next set of Yutemen, Django is 28-29, so Django technically is the next Yuteman to get a chance, not a Kim or Gis or Jule Andrew, technically it's supposed to be Django. A two says, I don't see Chase making it to 2028, need his replacement. Chase is going to 2028, we're talking about, russian is 34, by 2020, russian will be 36 by the next World Cup, you best believe roston's going to the next World Cup, until we can produce a better defensive off spinner than

roston chase, you best believe roston chase is going to the next World Cup, name a better defensive off spinner than roston chase, don't worry I'll wait, name one, roston would, and I'm not talking about roston's batting, I'm talking about roston's bowling, if roston can give us a little 22 from 22, I'm taking it, but I'm talking about his bowling, if we're playing two spinners in a World Cup, roston chase is playing in my team, I know people, I think sometimes people mistake roston chase the test player, with roston chase the limited overs player, there is a role for roston in the limited overside, he can't go nowhere, let me bring niques on, one second, actually before I bring niques on, let me put, because not all of you, if you're a patron you've probably seen the video, because I said it to the patrons, but if you're not a patron, I'll play it anyways, here's

Sami told me not to win, every game day you show up for your team, now it's your time, ask your prescriber about we gov some maglatide injection 2.4 milligrams, a GOP one, call 1-8-334-we-govi or visit wegovie.com to view the medication guide and to learn more about we govi, why wait? we govee congratulations on the win, how nervous were you? thank you so much, I wasn't too nervous, I was just hoping that we get over the line, but today it was a lot more thoughtful and smart cricket, especially by rovman and chauvin and followed by

jess and holna, but I think the game was set up up front when we bold, shema joseph continues to impress, so we needed a victory, it's been a while since we wanted it to be a series at home, in front of the jameican fans I know they wanted a victory for us, so I'm glad that we could finish the series on the high, what you made of the overall set up in terms of the batting order coming out, what went behind that? I think we have guys who has to play different roles in the team, it's about execution, you could have a plan in the dressing room but you know you got to go out and be able to execute the plan and today we did that more often than not and it was enough to win this series, still areas and skills we got developed but it's something that we had to coach and staff and players we continue to work on. You got to win that series when as well, you mentioned you know obviously turning your attention

to the sole test in Antigua, how hard is it you know changing your focus between different formats in such a short time for it? I think for the guys who play all formats it's a little bit harder but you know they're quite disciplined you know for us as the coaching staff is the same day on the job you come in and prepare the guys and try to prepare them as best as possible and give them the environment that is as close as the game. 100% agree and obviously you mentioned the atmosphere here in Subannapark in Kingston, would you like to see the Western players play here more often because there are lots of conjectures online about the frequency with which the team is in here. Oh man look I remember just before work up 2024 we played South Africa head I was probably the first time we played cricket in yes in in Subannap but you could see I always tell the guys we have to we have to give the the Subannap fans something to shout about they are quite knowledgeable about the game you and if this one thing I appreciate the

announcer every time we it seems like their position is is getting better of us he tries to you know right up the crowd to be a 12th person a 12th month for us and give the guys some sort of confidence you know so I love playing cricket in Jamaica and yeah for sure you know more cricket in Jamaica means more exciting is a place that we've done well and the guys enjoy being here as well. And last one for me obviously Shamar with the bull is really the standout player in the series with the amount of wickets he's taking what else would you identify you're really proud of you know maybe it's a collective team performance or maybe it's another individual performance into something we worked on and training with a group. Yeah for sure Shamar stood out really well Jason continues to lead not only with these actual skills but the leadership helping out the bullers on the field we we saw how we miss his experience in the second game so that was good to see he continues from that I mean we gave some youngsters like Akimo Gays and and Shamar

spilling a couple games yes they didn't perform the way they wanted to but all in all you know gain a series win after I think almost two years you know is is is something to be proud of especially after a workup I'm building for our string of 2028 you know we now have to put things together skillset players too much the conditions we're gonna find an antiga but most of all being on the pressure today and having the nerve and the the calm and the cricket smats to do what it takes to come out over the line that was special. Sure thank you so much we thank you. Yes people so Nick says who was the guy with the British accent asking the questions so that here's a story behind that so the guy who was at the end who asked the last three questions is James Trusscott big up James so James is somebody who I've known for quite some time James got in touch of me and San Toki when we first set up Caribbean cricket podcast and from this is from years back

like maybe four five years ago probably a bit longer so James is a good guy works in media in the UK I think he's flown out at the moment actually I think he's working elsewhere at the moment but so James messaged me about a week ago or maybe four days ago and said mash I'm in Jamaica I said say no more I said do you want to go subpoena so I said leave it to me and I quickly I saw it out about five hours I said James leave it to me and I sorted them out pressed the else some press accreditation and I said James I've got you in there as a Caribbean cricket podcast correspondent I said but in return I beg you do a vlog for me for the channel so James has gone out there for the sorry James went to the three T20s and he's recorded some wicked content vlog content for the T20s so look out for that people that's going to drop on the channel in the next few days or so so yeah so James James did a team for me still and I know in that interview with Savi he's

because James sent me the picture he was wearing the CCP shirt whilst interviewing Savi so I know Savi saw that shirt and thought what's going on here so listen CCP even when we're even when we're in London we're still at the cricket we're still at the cricket so because CCP you can't stop us you know I'll find a way to get CCP to the cricket no matter what even if I'm not there someone else is going to be there representing the movement and doing the thing so look out for that people that will drop on the channel very very soon yeah let me get the link for leaks so let's see yeah back to the openness chat and you lot heard Sami you lot heard Sami say there notice how Sami mentioned leaks the link is in the chat couple other man gonna try think they can use the link and come on the chat but you meant you meant then coming on 200 plus people in the chat right now in the live right now big up yourselves like share subscribe hit the notification bell hype the video all of that

all of that so if you've just joined us we're currently talking about the openness for 2028 we might as well extend that conversation to the squad in general for 2028 is Sami right to say we're looking ahead to 2028 without necessarily bloodening well based on this one series where's Nietzsche I'll put the link in the chat and Nietzsche ain't even here is Sami is Sami right to say we're looking we're looking to 2028 but it looks like the majority of the squad will be the same for 2028 and also people we've got to remember t20 world cups the cycle for a t20 world cup is two years it's not like it's a football world cup cycle and I do wonder if that's slightly different as well if this wasn't old the i world cup cycle I think I'd be more inclined to say but a couple of our men are 32 33 might want to start rotating out a couple men but two years and t20 do you even lose form

in your mid-ther is in t20 anyways you look better you you look way and see because when we get to 2028 you best know that Johnson Charles will be in the squad anyways so let's get to Nietzsche anyways I can see Nietzsche in the background looks like man's got his brazil shirt on you know who's wearing yellow let me see if that's it's such a maker is it brazil that Nietzsche not it's probably brazil you know Nietz Nietz got one two brazilian gal and said that's it he said that's it I'm up right let's bring Nietzsche on the show and let's talk about the t20 squad one second people I need to plug my laptop in yes Nietzsche what are you saying yes brazil is brazil yeah me so we're saying it so I laid down the foundation of the conversation for this episode two years to the next t20 world cup we don't have to do no qualifiers or anything like that no no long qualification process we get in automatically due to our performance in the last world cup

but I were you unhappy that Sam like so Auguste got a one game at the end Shama spring has got a one game were you where do you stand on Sammy basically playing the majority of the squad that just played the world cup can you hear me just want to check yeah yeah all good okay um yeah I think and it's funny because I didn't really uh I didn't hear what Sammy was saying and I was also in the sense of the one you interview but I'm now but I didn't know what he's thinking was initially going into the series in terms of how he was going to drip feed the youth into the team I think that's the right decision I wouldn't be looking to do some big overhaul and the point you just made before I came on was a t20 cycle is two years so it's not like the players that you trusted two years ago come 2028 should be a significantly worse if they

young they may be significantly better but it shouldn't be significantly worse than they were two years ago and you obviously you've got a two year period and maybe in the first year you like this man named been on full four X amount of games so you have to change up and you switch a minute switch them out but we're talking about 11 or 15 man squad I would say the majority of that team we went to the last world cup should be I would say probably 11 out of 15 I'm not sure exactly the coming business I can't know how big the squad was but I would hope that maybe 11 out of 15 the 11 out of 16 should be going to the next t20 world cup and additionally because let's not forget we were pretty happy with our performance on the world cup we didn't go there and stink out the joint and get beat up by his in bad way and Afghanistan and Bangladesh didn't make it out of our group Italy took us there we didn't we that wasn't the situation we were one game and maybe a few good overs away from getting to a semi final knocking out potentially knocking out India in a

you know pseudo knockout game as it was at the end of that super eight stage or whatever that that stage was to get into a semi final so if we take that approach and say well these players actually play two and some maybe above their level what would be the rationale for getting rid of over half of them there is no real rationale other than I don't know you know that like just need for change that need to look like you're doing something but sometimes doing nothing is the the best thing you can do you can let this team and when you think about when you go in and going into the world cup there were already players who were being reintegrated into the team Hemiah hadn't really been getting around the team for a while and he was being reintegrated into the team so that team alone wasn't one that had been kind of building for two to four years prior to that world cup so for me the obvious people like the Johnson Charles you're going to say yeah yeah you have to move on from him I can't I don't know if everyone ever knew was ever knew was

even in the squad obviously he's retired since then and they're going to be the odd one or two that you talk like we took um who was the you man that we took uh to the world cup um the batsman well not um not Samson Samson he may be in two years he's not going to be in the squad we don't know what we're ever rushing out to bringing him to that uh workout that may no longer be the case come 2028 but I would hope that the the bulk of that squad especially because they formed well should be going to that world cup and and if I'm correct this series win is this like our first t20 series run it since 2024 yeah do you know what so when I was watching the highlights back today I forgot that we'd lost a lot of the bilaterals before we get in around the world cup so this is a this goes to my point though leaks that Samson is not in a position where he can afford to lose exactly so there's only so much change he can make so for me bringing in a shamaspring and I think shamaspring uh did he did he pay the first game uh second one

so yeah I was only the second one because I was the second one I wasn't sure if he paid the first one and I think he did all right obviously they're trying to find a death bowler um we've already had that and I think he did all right for his um and actually before the world cup I think he played some some games and he did all right at the death um maybe 50 51 game was good one game wasn't but you can see that he's got a potential skill set that we can benefit from at the death um they but then we brought in a chemo geese and he looked all at sea against um the spinners now don't get twisted we have more experienced batsman who are also all at sea against the spinners but it shows that you can't just throw in a bunch of you man of think yeah we're gonna go and um uh build this team for the next two years because these men are getting thrown in in the in the lions then in the deep end because as we've discussed before our domestic season and our even our cpl ain't of the highest quality that they are ready and well prepared for the international game so

I just think a little drip feeling of one or two across a series between now in 2028 and you may find out gemmy say you know what shimalspringer you're ready you showed one game against shulanka then you showed two game against New Zealand then you showed one game against England all right you know what going to the 2028 world cup you are starting and then you've got in the background a chemo geese might be a backup or you've got a joe landry who might be a backup by then um and I think that's always so are you saying that when we're trip feeding in the yutemen we're trip feeding them in with the notion of expanding the pool rather than looking for a a starter unless somebody shows you how you're doing yeah it's like it's not like for me I want to take out uh king tomorrow and say joe andry I've got you I'm gonna give you two years to prove you're the opener going into 2028 no I'm putting them in for one game putting up a chemo geese in for a one game show them what you can do and if you prove that you can do something maybe next time I give you a two game and the next

one you get the whole series and if at if from it you show not okay you know what you're actually better placed for this team than a branding king or a spinner comes through in their better than a killer saying or um we get another seema then you you've earned your position as a poster just making the whole cell changes in the hope to find somewhere someone because I think the team that we've got now is not it's it's not bad enough that you have to rip it up that you have to force someone into it I think someone needs to prove as tc said in the chat smooth transition someone has to prove that they're ready to step into that road and then you give them that run so for me I think that's the the most um that's that's the only kind of the movement of changes that I would like to see between now and and 2028 so neeks don't go nowhere because I'm gonna try I'm gonna try something here Ronaldo didn't even know Ronaldo didn't even know he was coming on with neeks on the show at the same time let's let's let's let's let's make this a trifecta here

you you were at Sabina for all three games um if I'm not mistaken um I was at the first and the second yesterday boy I woke up Sunday and I'd watch it on on the television but was there Saturday and Thursday I was really out of it yesterday too much celebrating now I was watching the watching the football work of Saturday all day then went to the my Saturday night came back in Sunday late woke up watching other games so now I'm like oh I'm tired oh done so before before we get into the cricket Ronaldo let me just check you're watching on Saturday so what's that you were watching Brazil yeah so I watched the Brazil Marlboro Colgate and I'm not a football fan I'm just watching I'm just watching okay yeah I watched Brazil Marlboro Colgate man um I was very impressed with the the Marlboro kind's like I don't

know on the count of days seem really good they're very fast they're very fit I like the way they play and I like all the shape of you know so um I like what I'm seeing so far the USA game against Paraguay that looked good as well um spend today um quite shocking the way in which um I thought Spain dominated position but it was couldn't finish because the back line up of Cape what's the name Cape Verde yeah yeah yeah yeah they were pretty good and I'm not a football fan but since it's wearing a football season I'm like no why not everybody's a football fan the world cup in there so so Ronaldo was good as well now I'm sorry but I was like you know I enjoyed that second half but Ronaldo let's talk cricket then so you've heard what you've heard what niques had to say I saw your comments on patron early today you are bigging up Shamar Shamar Joseph um and and his bowling but here's where I want to start I want you and niques to to to react to this

West Indies do not have and I think Santok and I spoke about this in the preview to the series we must be one of the few teams in World Cricket that don't have a leg spinner um don't have a left arm seam us and no variation in terms of our seam attack and what I'm going to put to both of you to answer is this before the World Cup people said boy maybe a ram on Simmons or a navin but they see obviously Vittel laws is currently with the senior squad doing what every's doing with them where do you two stand if we go to 2028 two years from now and we still don't have a leg spinner and we still don't have a left arm seamer can we realistically expect this side to go any further than they've done in the last two World Cups when there are clear um tactical skill sets that we don't carry because we I assume because we don't think we've got players that are good enough

to to to fulfill those roles or do you say to Darren Sammy if you're going to be targeting some utemen to bring through into this team target them in the skill sets that we don't have and try fast track them in uh Ronaldo because Nick has already spoken on that you go first um to be fair I I think that we're quite fine um not necessarily the variation would be good but um as you rightfully said much if if the leg spinners if they're not up to par um there's no point especially given the fact that we're going to Australia and New Zealand I'm not sure if we're going to be drawn in Australia but we're going to be drawn in New Zealand but I think it's really the same ball in attack that's going to bring us into 2028 t 20 workup so I would be focusing more so on the left arm seam I think Ramon Simons are a Jedi blade so one either one of them whichever one is performing better over the next two years I think Ramon Simons for me I think he has a lot of

value to add and I still think Alzar is our best fastball and a Caribbean he's just a little rusty based on what I saw from the first audio I think those two to be added to this squad and not sure how to expense of who but at the end of the day I think those two would complement the squad really well and I think that we're a mid-tier team as you said over the over the year over the past year you've been saying it we're a mid-tier team but I think those two could take us to the next level to be in the top three but right right now we're definitely a mid-tier team 20 team between number four number seven but I think those two could really add some value they could and I think we could challenge for a semi-finals but depending on where we're playing yeah I'm gonna agree with Ronaldo I think I wouldn't force him we've seen some average leg spinners we brought through for the sake of them being leg spinners for the sake of them being different and here we are we realize what is it our two best spinners are left um finger spinners

and as much as they may be similar they're not the same Achille and Motie are not very different in their skill set and in their role you don't you wouldn't necessarily bowl Motie in a power play you can do that with the kill so for me it's about playing your best players and playing to your strengths if you don't have a leg spinner who's good enough you don't have a leg spinner who's good enough I'm not gonna bring in a average leg spinner because he's different to Achille or different to Motie if they're not better than Motie now you might say put your your scouting eyes more focus on the skills that she don't have I think that's natural but I wouldn't necessarily force those people in just because they're different if they're not necessarily better I think going into that next World Cup seals is gonna be better because seals as good as seals is and obviously we we call him starboard and a lot of that is based on his Red Bull cricket he's getting better as a white bull bowler and we're seeing that last few years the the the lens that you have to bowl and it's

probably one the reason why I saw a read much better white bull than Red Bull the length that you have to that you have to bowl in red and white bull is different that one will look like it swings longer one a bit short and seals was finding that balance and that transition difficult going to into white bull cricket and you're seeing he's getting better Shaman made his T20 international debut only two years ago in two years time he's gonna be four years experience as an international and obviously in a domestic game this series and you still see because he's so because he's quick you're gonna get certain times where if it's just a little bit wayward the balls flying for four and then over that one for twenty and you're like why but he took five wickets and so you showed that the skill and ability that he has and what the damage he can do and in two years time you hope that he's gonna be better than he is now more controlled and and therefore more dangerous and then for me as I mentioned when I was on last and fireballs there as well for me the key

to us to our batting is headmire hoe roverford those three is gonna and you know rovman is gonna do his bed hold and these but those three will be for me and should be the difference between us getting to a semi-finan pushing you know to challenge and asking not to add a group stages that's who the pressure should be on to to score the runs and the bowlers the seals Shaman and hopefully you get Shaman springer who can potentially show or solidify the talent that he's shown that we're not having to rely on a Mario shepherd at the death obviously we missed our Zari in the World Cup so if he is from two years from now our Zari is a bit older now he may not be as good as he was prior to that World Cup we don't know exactly how Zari will be gonna get but if we have those options with those the two fast bowlers being better now than they are then for me I'm focusing those focusing on the players who have proven that they're good as opposed to trying to search for

something that maybe we're just not gonna produce some countries produce one skill set more than others and I think that I think it was a time when I don't know if it was New Zealand or Sri Lanka maybe they just had a lot of left-hand bowlers and it's just it is where it is it is not much you can do about it based on the region that you're from so I wouldn't I wouldn't get too caught up on the different different skillsets that we don't have but I would rather focus on the kind of holding the abilities that we will be showing that we're producing in the Caribbean every game day you show up for your team now it's your time ask your prescriber about Wigovie some magletide injection 2.4 milligrams a GLP1

call 18334 Wigovie or visit Wigovie.com to view the medication guide and to learn more about Wigovie why wait we've got about six minutes before I run away to watch the World Cup so let's get two more points Ronaldo bringing this to you first I just put up on the screen the name Nicholas Purim and I know I know that they're going to be some people they're going to say you ain't tired to talk about Nicholas Purim but two years a long time Nicholas has been retired now for what maybe 18 months yeah two years two years is a long time by by the next World Cup he would have been out of the game for three and a half years or something stupid like that and he will still be a young man he'll be 31 something like that do you look at and this is to both of you Bob and the Gunnarts were now done to talk first do you look at our batting line up so let's say our top six is

King, Whole, Hettie, Powell, Rutherford, Holder let's just say that's our top six arguments say if Purim turned around any time within the next two years and said you know I was on foolishness of course I want to play for the West Indies please welcome me back one do you bring him back two who do you bring him back for assuming he's still the Nicholas Purim who gets who's like first picking any draft anywhere around the world so in that top six how do you re and how and remember the reason why I'm sorry the reason why leaks and Ronaldo are making this point if I link it to the second point so that we don't have to bring the second point up I'm linking it to this point from Dale Rankin Dale says I'm happy for the win but we need some long spin batting clinics in India for the batters and that's when I thought let me talk on Purim and link it to this point because Purim along with Hettie probably hope and maybe I'll throw a chase in there they're the

only ones I see that seem to know how you're supposed to manipulate spin and and rotate strike and Hettie's the only player who can take spin apart completely if Purim's available he's probably the only other player we've got who can take spin apart completely so what are you saying gentlemen Ronaldo you first Nicholas Purim I mean once Purim is available and he apologises to cricket West Indies and of course he apologises if he's coming back but yeah if Purim wants to play I'd find a way to get Purim in because if you look at it Trilonga played Wela Lagi and the truth is they only could do that because of the fact that they know that Hettie and Rutherford are really apart from who they're the two guys that can take don't spin and away Hettie is playing he's just there for a good time Hettie talent wise is the probably the best baseman in the Caribbean no

doubt about it but Hettie is just there to give you a quick fire 70 50 30 he's there I'll take I'll take I'll take a quick fire 70 and Hettie's not going to be the guy to be about it 50 deliveries it's going to be more you know somewhere between 20 to 35 balls and it's going to be he's going to score after after rapid rate so Nicholas Purim wants to be there we had to throw in young Aggies and it didn't look good yesterday my phone was blowing up persons in different group chat costing as our videos from stadium people costing the young man like who is this youngster Samitra in him what is you come from what him trust me much people were costing the youngs they couldn't get back to bar was not good look when you look at you know the live viewing bottom so yeah there's definitely spots out there if we can bring a Samsung to work or Purim definitely can come back that's a good point that's a good point this is great to Samsung if we can find space for Samsung young Aggies young Jewelanger of course they're the future of wasted in his

cricket but the truth is if we have spots to just throwing some youngsters Purim can always get that spot back in the squad and we'll find 50 min 11 we'll finally yeah 100% I think if he's let's say he turns up you know amongst before the workups and I'm ready to come back he being a squad I'm starting him straight away yeah I can't just throw you back in the team after you know amongst before the workups out but if he's if say 12 months before the workup yeah that's easy you reintegrate him into the squad like you did with her tea and then you find the spot I think it's you could argue it's maybe more difficult in old DI to find that position then t20 because it's t20 yeah you got even if you had hoping king opening you probably wouldn't but you even hoping king opening and you had head to get free pull around for around for five that's like that that that that line up them knowing that after hope there's head man there's Purim that is a headache for opposites yeah but you know that one drop two drop free drop

there's no rest we have to get them down there was a time when we were winning workups that everyone knew we're seeing these back deep yeah you had to get them down six seven eight before you can say all right now we've got them now now now that they do this is cool so yeah if if if it's for us ready to come back I'm definitely leaving that door open there might be a question you might say well would you have maybe him or head Maya opening along with hope because if you have one of them to open then I'm gonna get the other one coming up free that's do dangerous as well I probably would I'm trying to feel I probably would go for head Maya more to open then then Purim just from what I've seen when when Purim has opened but yeah as a simple answer if he's available we're not in a position to be to be turned into this and head Maya need to explore it we're you to head Maya everything has happened in head Maya Westin is correct he shouldn't be playing for us like we were a good nation who were winning staff and the head Maya

would have been done with a long time because we had a next one coming true but the fact that he's still here and I'm you know we need him it shows where we're at so we're not in a position to be turning down quality players because of what some disagreements or some some and no clashes personality clashes between this person that person and that's for me because I don't I don't even necessarily agree with a apologize he hasn't for me even though we feel disrespected because that pose that he said was foolishness I will have Westin in my heart and a shut up like come on let's be full but he hasn't disrespected us we feel disrespected but he hasn't yeah yeah that out Westin this publicly he hasn't gone on some you know news news rant about this person that person wherever the issues are it's behind closed doors if you know you know well that that that's Puran's agent shutting down leaks right there and then you know

listen um gentlemen um obviously this conversation can continue Ronaldo the actual live show is on Wednesday you know this was just a little quick thing to look back at the two one series because Santel can I decided not to record a show in it so people we got to I think like 240 at some point there will be a live show on Wednesday where we'll properly talk all cricket Westin is women this show we didn't even talk about Westin is women that's for the live show on Wednesday because they are the big victory um against me yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah uh 99 Rebaldo Clark 50 odd again um so we got some cricket to talk but needs Ronaldo yeah I know people want to run to the cricket to the football right now so needs Ronaldo thank you so much for coming on um that that that that was a good little 50-minute show they're good good conversations um and the first time it's been a quick one yeah yeah really a good one really I need to record these things only when World Cup is on yeah so people that's be neat that's be Ronaldo I've been mesh and CCP will be back very very soon
