Music Please, please, please, Mr. President, we're winning too much. We can't take it anymore. We're winning the war, buddy. A lot. We've already won in many ways, but we haven't won enough. Most people say it's already been won. I never liked to say too early you won. We won. We won the bet. In the first hour it was over. I know you win a war. I think we won. This war has been won. We're winning so big. He said we'd like to send some ships. I said we already won. In a certain sense we've already won. They're losing. They admit they're losing. We're the winner. We won. We won. We won. We won. Whether you listen to... If you've been listening to the president of the United States you would believe that we won the war with Iran, and it's practically over, and there's nothing to worry about, and there's no escalation. The straight of Hormuz is open, and everything is perfect. is perfect, but in reality, while Trump is holding deeply bizarre and concerning from the standpoint of his mind-press conferences that I'll play for you in this segment,
Iran is heightening their escalating their threats and making it seem like we may not see the straight-up Hormuz open, we may see an even more catastrophic oil shock for the rest of Trump's term, whether the war ends or not. Which again, Trump says that it has and that we've won. This doesn't feel like winning, so we've heard multiple times that there are assassination threats, at least if not plots against Baron Trump and against Melania Trump, what to know, the time reported about the apparent Iranian threat against Baron Trump. Now it's stepping up and they're saying, you know what? Let's focus in on the top jog. And this is said, top jog, nice and moist. I know some of you don't like that moist word. I had a teacher who would actually get me in trouble if I would say it. And that always really bothered me and I said,
I have free speech and voice and voice and voice and voice. Now I'm getting, I totally was a coward and I said, yes, man, a senior Iranian figure proclaimed Thursday, listen to this, this is huge, that the straight-up Hormuz would remain closed until criminal president, down Trump is removed from power and a number of critics, voice support for the demand. So they're now saying, it's not about if the war is over. Originally, this was just a measure to get the US to stop with our military activities. It is now a demand that Trump leaves office is removed from office in some capacity before they will open the straight-up Hormuz. And it doesn't matter how many times Trump says that ships are flowing through. It's great. If you'll take that down, Jayden, we can always check straight-up Hormuz monitor. You just type it in. It's so simple. You click the top thing and you can see only eight ships have gone through in the last day and 60 was the normal before the war started.
A lot of times that number is one, sometimes zero, and they're saying that will continue, which I need to help you understand that we have not even gotten close to the worst in terms of gas prices. We just talked about yesterday reporting about the real spike could happen in the coming weeks and months, which is a frightening thing to hear given where things stand now in diesel prices at an all-time high. So a political advisor to the Iranian Supreme Leader said the straight would remain closed until both Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were removed from office. A demand that comes as traffic through the critical shipping waterway hit its lowest level yet and surging global oil prices break records. This is the specific quote. Our fighters will not open the straight-up Hormuz until they bring the criminal Trump and the bloodthirsty Netanyahu down from the seat of power. Now there's two ways to interpret that. Literally, we're going to wait until they're out of office like Netanyahu is elected out of
office and Trump is elected out of office, which would mean we'd have to wait until 2029 to see the straight-up Hormuz go back to normal, which would be a globally catastrophic. Because of yes, Iranians choice to do this and it should be noted it being in reaction to a starting this war which we never should have. Or the word they alludes to the fighters would get Trump and Netanyahu would assassinate them. That's not super likely just given the security infrastructure that the US and Israel have and that like US secret services is going to do everything to not let Trump get killed. But if that's the case, then we're talking about years of this. And as I explained yesterday, and as I just mentioned, the worst is yet to come in terms of global oil shock, oil price shock, because a lot of the price increases you've seen were because of the assumption that there's going to be a supply issue in the future. As we actually run into
that supply issue, then things get out of control. If they were to follow through on this threat of until Trump's removed from office one way or another, we're not opening it. We're talking about catastrophe. So I keep using very scary words, escalation, assassination, pigmentation, now just saying, now just rhyming. But think about what you would want to hear from said leader, anything that denotes intelligence. I'd love to hear a laser focus on this issue. I'd love to stop hearing the we won this whenever clearly we haven't, at least yet. And well, but instead if you go, okay, so that's what Iran's saying at this general time on the global clock. Now, no. And now I take you to the president of the United States at the White House in the Rose Garden, or now the Rose palette of concrete. It said, let me ask your question. If you get a
little leak and the water starts coming into boat and you're in electric, do you get electric heated or not? He said, you know, nobody's ever asked me that question. And I said, so here's my question. You remember this? I used to say it during the campaign driving the press crazy, but people found it sort of amusing. I said, so I'm an electric boat and I see I'm going down and the water is pouring in. So I know I'm going to be electric-cuted at five yards away. There are shocks. Do I take the electric fusion or do I go swimming with the sharks? And you know what my answer was? I'll take the electric fusion, okay? I'll take the electric, but he didn't know how to answer the question, Johnny. He said no idea. And what I did do is it didn't matter because I ended that nonsense. That was another mandate that had to have all boats be electric. Right. I'm sure the Biden administration mandated that all boats were electric. Also rubber duckies had to be electric for kids to play with. And then we had an epidemic of kids being electricated by their electric
rubber duckies. No, podcast listeners, since you didn't see the clip, he might have thought, wait, I thought that was from years. I thought that was from the campaign in 2024, at least. If not 23, I think the one 24. That's a long time ago. We've already heard that. No, no, no, he told it again yesterday. He went through the, you know, if the boat has a, if it's electric, then as if there isn't electrical systems in normal boats that could short circuit, wind touching water, but also whatever you have a boat, you put a bunch of precautions in place electric or not to make sure that doesn't happen if water touches the boat because it's a boat on a wooder, the wetdest from the standpoint of water that we've ever seen. But again, that's like the Iranian government's over here saying, we will ruin the global economy unless this guy is out of office because of the war that he started. And you cut to the white house where said president is talking and he's rambling about something he's been thinking about
for years now in relation to would you rather be gobbled up, munched up by a shark or electrocuted. This of course was the most famous example on the campaign trail of him speaking out loud. But speaking is generous. This is mostly just him connecting unrelated syllables. So I said, let me ask you a question. And he said, nobody ever asked this question. And it must because of MIT, my relationship to MIT, very smart. He goes, I say, what would happen if the boat sank from its weight? And you're in the boat and you have this tremendously powerful battery. And the battery is now underwater. And there's a shark that's approximately 10 yards over there. By the way, a lot of shark attacks lately. Did you know what I said? A lot of shark. I watched some guys justifying it. And Biden's America. Well, they weren't really that angry. They bit off the young lady's leg because of the fact that they were not hungry, but they misunderstood what who she was.
These people are crazy. He said, there's no problem with sharks. They just didn't really understand a young woman swimming now. It really got decimated in other people to a lot of shark attacks. I said, so there's a shark 10 yards away from the boat. 10 yards. Or here, do I get electrocuted if the boat is sinking. Water goes over the battery. The boat is sinking. Do I stay on top of the boat and get electrocuted? Or do I jump over by the shark and not get electrocuted? Because I will tell you, he didn't know the entry. He said, you know, nobody's ever asked me that question. I said, I think it's a good question. I think there's a lot of electric current coming through that water. But you know what I do if there was a shark or you get electrocuted? I'll take electrocution every single time. I'm not getting any of it. Yeah, brother. I thought the rally crowd was about to start cheering. Yeah. That's right. Guys were Americans. I don't know what he's saying, but I'm in. And there was one other time where he referenced this. The press kills me all the time. They say he keeps talking about sharks. I
don't. I tell an analogy. If I'm in a boat, it's not even an analogy. That's not an analogy. It's not an analogy. It's hypothetical. What are you, what are you, what are you analogizing it to? What? You're just saying, hey, this is a thought I had. So that's what he's up to just to make you feel better that he's going to sort this out. He's going to, oh, okay, maybe Iran's making that demand, but Trump's going to outsmart him. He's going to outsmart him. Not so much. But there was more from this event that he held at the White House. He also believes that people across across the country are are are shouting with glee about the helipad that it's really taken on a life of its own. People are in the streets celebrating. With patriots like you, it'll continue for a long time. So I just want to congratulate you all on your tremendous success is tremendous success on this beautiful stone surface.
It's tremendous success and you've done an incredible job and we're going to hand you a little coin as emblematic of your visit. And again, if you want, you can walk over, check out the new helipad. If you don't like it, let me know. I want to a damn thing about it. Everybody loves it, actually. People are talking about it all over the country. It's really taken on a whole. It's really taken on a whole life, the size of it, the beauty of it, the stone cutting. It's really special. But also, I'm very importantly for those that want to come later and just walk in and see the beautiful, oval office. You'll be my guest. It's taken on a life and across the country, people are marveling at the beauty of the helipad that was installed at the White House. Ma'am, what do you think about gas prices in America right now? Well, you know, I actually am not so focused on that, but I am pretty impressed and I'm marveling at the beauty of the helipad
of the White House. That's really what I'm, I'm a one issue voter and it's helipad. Helipad is my one issue. I guess he was talking to Fisherman or something. I don't know who he's talking to exactly. But he wanted to make the proclamation that he is signing into law. He is signing an executive order to lower your gas, oh, no, to increase the speed limit for boats. Here's a Biden administration tried to bludgeon the boating in maritime industry with a ridiculous boating speed limit of no more than 10 miles per hour. That doesn't sound very exciting. Can you imagine you're going out 2,500 miles, you're going 10 miles and I saw that, I saw it recently where some boat owners came up to me and they thanked me so profusely, I said, tell me what's 10 miles an hour and a boat? He said slow.
He said, I've never been asked that question before. He said, must be because I'm MIT. I said if you're going 10 miles an hour and they say it's 10 knots but I don't know what a knot has to do with anything. And I said, well, what if you're going 10 miles an hour and then there's sharks about 10 yards away and a lot of sharks attacked recently. This one lady was crying, please don't eat me, don't eat me and the shark went num num num not because he was hungry but he num num num and he said, I've never been asked that question before. Take them six hours to get to the official location. By the time they got there they were exhausted, they wanted to come back. It is crazy. Well, I guess they had 10 miles, they didn't want to hurt something in the water. They didn't want to hurt sharks. It's unbelievable. 10 miles per hour. But just as I promised you in the campaign, we're eliminating those restrictions and we're doing it immediately and the American voters can now once again enjoy the open ocean and you can
go slightly faster than 10 miles an hour, like 120 miles an hour if you're crazy. You can go as fast as you want and we have that. Order it's all signed sealed and delivered. You're all set to have it and so congratulations. I hope don't hurt yourself. Don't go too fast. Don't go too fast, Johnny. I'm slow, Johnny. But you were just telling us we could go fast. So I looked into this. I don't know why. Why do I why would I even waste time and what he's referencing is a proposed rule that never went into effect. It was 10 knots, which I think is like 11.5 miles per hour and it was in very specific locations during times where there would be a high risk of hitting whales. And they had very specific locations where those speed limits were going to be lower to 10 knots and never did. And then there's already standing rules and certain areas about having to be
cautious. It's not anywhere that you're boating or anywhere that you're fishing. And I guess I don't know exactly what he's doing is it just removing any speed limits anywhere. I feel like that could get dangerous and then you could wind up in your analogy quote unquote all of a sudden in real life. And then he said this. I could have banned. And why is his hair never the same lately. He always had consistent hair and now it's like sometimes he looks like he has a completely different head of hair than other times. Fishing. I'll tell you what. Wait, let me go back. He's he's impressed that he believes he could ban fishing. I could have banned fishing. I'll tell you what, the power of this office is crazy. I could have banned fishing and driven Johnny right there hell out of business. Okay. I think I'm going to do that just maybe just a quick order just for a day or two until he calls me and he says, please precedent, please. You're putting me out of business. Or anyway, but how is he not drunk? I don't understand. I do not understand how he's not
now call a user, but I don't know if the president. Yeah, I just want to kiss my fish. And that is that. That's what he's up to while Iran is thinking of ways to get him out of office. So if that makes you feel good, I'm glad for you. A lot of super chats. We're going to check in with them and then we're going to get to so much more in today's show. Thank you for joining us. That's our first story. Luke Beasley joined by producer Jaden and Cole and it's Friday. Yeah, baby. Yeah, baby. I'm pretty excited. Shifty Lincoln said, and I'd gladly stand up next to you with a diaper full of soup. God bless the poo as a don't call it the poo as a. But I know you wanted me to sing that probably and not gladly stand up next to you with a diaper full of soup. But I won't
read the next part out of my pay treatism. Drizzeter, thank you for the five gifted memberships. Swam live says we won the war against Iran. Give me a choke. And then shift you Lincoln also said, I'm sitting here at the trap house bagging up the good stuff. I got what you need. What octane are you looking for? I actually don't know what that is in reference to. But thank you for the super chat. CJ says, one of it be ironic if of all places Iran was responsible for saving our democracy from I don't know how they would be something love truth for all says Trump keeps bragging about us being oil independent. Why can't we just use that? Omni stars, not the electric boat story again. Guncle, I mean the reason is because the supply chain from where the source of oil comes from to the refinery process to then using it is globally interconnected. And we don't have I'm pretty
sure if I'm not mistaken, we don't have the refinery infrastructure that would match the oil that we produce where we could just do it all for ourself. Something like that. Guncle, member for four months, that I'm surprised dumpster can even spell MIT. And I bet he thinks MIT means Miami Institute of Tards. Drizzeter said whoever imagined that we'd end up with a president who makes George Bush look like a freaking genius, dominator cosplay, say, wouldn't the shark get electrocuted to what you got to do is just if he's so afraid of the battery and he sees sharks just take it out and chuck it at the sharks. And then it'll just go down and not electrocute anything. He went back what what the heck. T. Swaviyam says, do we have a sound bite of Trump saying smart people don't like me? I like that. Octane is gas 85 octane 93 octane like buying gas from a dealer. I just didn't know what the question was to me, but regardless, don't it what I don't know. I didn't need that
clarification. Okay. Um, what is it? Can I explain to me explain what was happening? I know all about octane. I was curious what my role in this was. Well, he sent it when you were talking about how gas is still going to has a richers peak. So he was like, it's like a gas dealer. Oh, you're loading up on it. Yeah, I like that. Good. So he's saying he's farting a lot. No kidding. Um, all right, let's talk about this now. You once said that America is the top dog in terrorism. Yes. Do you think America then is worse than Al Qaeda? Pound for pound as far as the number of deaths. Yes, we've caused tremendous terror all around the world. Was that a good idea to say before the elections? Anna and I might debate it and you might be
surprised at which side the two of us are on. And whether we're even on the same side. So Anna. Oh, okay. I like that tease. Look. So starting on a positive note, but what I'm going to play for you is that TYT hosts Anna Casparian and Jank you got into a pretty heated back and forth in response to that Hassan Piker clip, which if any of you think that was wise to say, yes, silly, yes, silly. Okay. Who's that helping? Who you saying that for? All right. But the substance of that claim will get to a little bit later in this Axios interview, the Hassan Piker did. But first, I want to talk about what led up to Jank you, Geronana clashing over. And this gets to the crux of why I think this is so relevant. Is there still some people and even this day and age who don't seem to see the importance of electoral politics, meaning electing better politicians into power so that they wield that
power for better causes. And there's a little group of people who feel so disenchanted with the process and with the failures of, of course, their public and party. But then also, Democrats not being able to rain in the bad acts of Republicans and not being able to achieve when they have power as much as we'd want. And it's leading some to think the cool or correct position is like, so screw it all. Why do we even care about electing any Democrats? No, no, no, no, no, no. And that's kind of the view that Anna will express where she goes, I don't even care about the midterms, which is if you care about the country, a kind of bonkers thing to say, you should care about the midterms. Our countries that stake. But Jank takes the, I do care about the midterm stance. And that's what will ultimately unfold into a debate. So let me walk you through that and then we'll circle back to the substance of that piker claim. And here's Jank. But as I'm watching that clip and Heson says there's more context, so we'll get the more context later for that conversation. And he's saying basically they,
you know, fished out the most damaging clip and then publicized it and then he's upset about it. But I would have said ahead of time if I'd known about it, Admiral Akbar, it's a trap. It's a trap. Of course Axios is going to try to trap you. Of course they're going to throw out red meat like this. So you got to be prepared for that. Now why? Why does it matter? We're right before an election. So what is the mainstream media going to do? They sent Alex Thompson in there to ask that question so that they could all then go nuts and go, oh, look, I guess, Abdul Al-Saheena, Hassan Piker, Al-Kato's better than America. You have to vote against Abdul Al-Saheena, you have to vote against them. And by the way, as we're doing this, one of our members, micrograms on Twitch sent a note in saying Jake Tapper's song about it right now. And they're going to be producing this on a loop for a month for a month. Who cares? Who cares? No, I care. I, me too. I care. I care. Me, me. So Abdul Al-Saheena is running in a very competitive race
in Michigan. I do really hope he wins. And during the primary, he made some appearances with Hassan Piker. And so then anytime Hassan says something like what you heard there, then it becomes a part of the discussion about Abdul. Do I think that's fair? No, I mean, like Abdul has been asked about five of the zillion times. He's taken on every single Hassan statement ever. And that's why Abdul has now very obviously been distancing himself from Hassan because the discussion needs to be Republicans have all the power right now. And they're doing terrible, terrible things with it. And Abdul's campaign message is here are some policies that almost everyone agrees with that I want to implement. Hey, we should have let everybody have some basic standard of health insurance. Hey, we need to fight the corruption. Hey, we need a lower prices, right? That should be the discourse. I think all of us, even though I try to avoid this topic as much as possible as to not fuel this being at the center of the discussion of the midterms because there's something so much more relevant like, hey, you know the people who have all the power right now and they're willing it horribly. And then you
contrast that against what whether moderate or progressive or even further left the progressive, all the candidates on the democratic side are 10 zillion times more reasonable than who they're running against. It's still I just wish we could not have to talk about it again, which I avoid it most so I can't but then it comes up like this and you're like, okay, yeah, of course this is going to make headlines of course. And so we should care. And we shouldn't play into like strawman arguments and over fixations on things that aren't relevant to the real issues that matter. But occasionally, we have to say what's she what are you doing? Right. And then Anna will go on to say as she sort of started there that she doesn't care about the midterms. She doesn't care what people say on mainstream media. Well, you should. That's how we make change is we affect public opinion. And then that translates to electoral victories, which translates to better people having power who can implement
better policies and improve people's lives. That's what we're doing all of this for. And we're not just in front of a microphone to shout our thoughts and then go home like there should be a goal here to make people's lives better. And that includes electoral politics and statements like this. And then Abdul having to be asked about it constantly and giving excuse to talk about something other than the real contrast in the race is detrimental. Carol on. Let them cry about it. No, no, no, no, our government has carried out terrorist acts endlessly, especially in the aftermath of 9-11. We're going to, okay, you want to know who loves al-Qaeda? The Obama administration, which armed al-Qaeda in Syria, Donald Trump, who had a former al-former al-Qaeda leader in the White House, spraying him with Cologne and perfume, please, please spare me the fake outrage about what Hassan said. Please spare me. So Anna, there's two different things. There is the substance and then there's the politics. So on the substance, you're not wrong,
and I'm going to come back to that. But the politics matters and the proximity to the election matters. So while you are correct about the facts, nevertheless, mainstream media is not going to tell anyone about those facts. And you can say, it's okay, we don't listen to mainstream media anymore. You're right, we don't. And probably back. The books do, I don't. Maybe like 60% of Americans don't, we hope. But at least 40% and the most heavily voting demographic senior citizens are still hooked on to that dumpster fire propaganda. So it's the long segment, so let me jump forward to when it gets the most contentious. And then we'll discuss this more. Where they can engage in acts of terror. And it's totally fine. But then we act as though al-Qaeda is so terrible as we armed them for since the area. These terror groups are so terrible. I mean, Saddam Hussein is a perfect example. We gave Saddam Hussein chemical weapons to use on Iran in the 1980s. Chemical weapons.
Who are the terrorists? Okay, back to you. So Anna, the problem is you have to factor in that mainstream. I don't care about the midterms. That's the other thing. I don't care. Well, they're wrong. They're discussed. Okay. Like, sorry, but you're massively wrong. He almost said disgusting. Here, I don't know why I interrupted that. That's this problem is you have to factor in that mainstream. I don't care about the midterms. That's the other thing. I don't care. Well, they're wrong. They're discussed. Like, sorry, but you're massively wrong. Totally wrong. Okay. So Anna, if I do outside wins, then the myth of, oh, a progressive populist cannot ever win a general election is defeated for good. That matters tremendously in the 2028 elections, the Democratic primaries because every lying jackal like Jake Tapper is going to go all over TV and say, oh, well, you see, I'll do a lot of saying loss. You can't have a populist. You can't have a progressive. You have to pick a corporate Democrat and establish
them in Democrat. It's got to be awesome for, or Buddha's Ginger Gavin Newsom. Hey. They will brainwash what's your problem with all soft. And, you know, I like Buddha, judge. I know, I know why people don't like nasa. 40% of the voters in that direction. If Abdul wins, they will do the same thing. I know that. But then tons of people will go, oh, I see. That's yet another gigantic lie. I saw that brother win with my own eyes. I heard it with. Okay. So that gets to the essence of the disagreement. And Anna was correct to sum it up of maybe our disagreement. Jank is that I don't care about the midterms. Hey, what are you doing then? That's my take. And I say this with love. But I don't think you care about what you're talking about if you don't believe in electoral politics. And this is something I've dealt with since I was even in college, like talking to other people on the left. But again, I would be so disillusioned by how little they seem to care about
the actual electoral consequences of activism. Like they would care about issues. And they would they would talk about corruption. And they would talk about foreign policy decisions that we've made as a government that have been horrible or failures of our domestic policy. And they would care. And they're like, okay, so then let's channel that to how we can impact it, which there's numerous ways to make change. But I can tell you the most gravitationally, foundationally, impactful system is our political system in any society. But in our case, since we're the most powerful country in the world, in our society, in our country, our political system is like the most globally consequential system that there is. And with one bill, you can do more for a country than tons of incredible nonprofits across their entire life. Like it's so incredible to see people
outside of politics making change. And of course, my mom is super involved in that. And we even have these dialogues about, but the thing that can flip a switch on the change front is politics. The scale of resources and the scale of power we're talking about is just so large that if you don't want to engage in our political system, you don't really care about the issues that you're talking about. If you just want to talk about them, maybe it's like satisfying to you. But if you don't see that in a, in a moment where the gap between the two parties is so large in terms of general goodness versus general badness, that it's a no-brainer, then almost any Democrat that will be running in this midterm would be so much better than the Republican that's currently in office. And that a step towards us seeing the type of change on foreign policy, us not starting insane wars and blowing up children's school in Iran on domestic policy people
having a standard of living that is, uh, that is two hour principles requires engaging in our like toll process. And I've gotten this vibe from Anna before like, uh, things are just too broken where you know what, they're all kind of the same. Not that she would say that, but like that, I get that vibe. Sometimes and now it came out a little bit more clearly. And anyone who does political analysis and gives you like the, well, everyone, Democrats or Republicans, it's all the same no matter who we elect, everything says it. That's just not true. It's just not true. And you can look back at the record of the last century even. And some of the most incredible positive changes that have been made came from people who cared activists who worked their tails off voters who engaged. And then leaders who had grabbed onto power and did something good with it. And the worst atrocities that have occurred were because terrible leaders were backed by a movement of people working
really hard to get demolected. And then they grabbed their hands on power and did something bad with it. And so brushing off like the midterms or future elections. As not something that you care about because of how broken the system seems to be, how are you going to fix it if you don't get into it? Or at least if people with your principles don't get into it just doesn't make sense. And for a long time, I've gotten from TYT a little bit too much of the, they're all the same. Like, you know, they'll describe corporate Democrats, which should be called out people who are too beholden to corporate interest. There's plenty of Democrats who that applies to. But sometimes the way they'll talk, I remember, oh, I remember this clip of Jank saying I would prefer, I would prefer anything in the discussion about Trump getting elected in 2024 over the Biden McConnell era. Like the idea that an establishment corporate Democrat is as bad or worse than the right-wing authoritarian MAGA leaders is something that if not as said is alluded to by some on the left.
And I think that just is so kind of productive. It's not correct. And we would not be suffering in the way that we are now. People would not have lost their Medicaid coverage. We would not have gone into a war in Iran that has had globally catastrophic consequences. We would not have led to as a government the deaths of millions of people because of dismantling USAID. We would not have funneled through that bill that ripped away healthcare tons of wealth to the richest Americans in exacerbating income inequality etc etc. Try to if Kamala Harris had been elected. It's just the case. And so you can both want better Democrats and advocate that the current set of Democrats are far better than their Republican alternatives. And you know what? Before moving a little bit further into this, I saw this clip of Anna pop up in her conversation with Tucker Carlson. Yeah. There's not a lot of longitudinal thinking. It seems like there's a kind of a day trade worldview in force. So you've always been on the left with progressive left.
I don't think you're much of a Republican voter or haven't been anyway. I think it's fair to say. But I know it's complicated. It's complicated. It's complicated. It's complicated. It's complicated. Right. Well, it's complicated for everybody. Oh, it's sudden. So I'm with you on the complexity. It's complicated not being a Republican voter. Tucker asked me that question. Are you you're not a Republican voter, right? Right. That's right. Yep. That's correct. Politics is complicated. Where do I land? Like when we've had these debates around being a liberal versus progressive versus super progressive versus socialist versus communist? Like, oh, where are the nuances of oh, I really like this progressive policy. And also I love. Right. You exactly nailing down where on a linear spectrum, what I land in terms of my, but do you vote in this environment where Maga has completely taken over the Republican party? Are you a Republican voter? That's not complicated at all. No, no. I'm not easy, easiest question I've ever gotten asked. Why is that complicated, Anna? So all of that's very
bizarre. But now let's go back to the source of this debate, which is her son, Piker's Axios interview and friend of the show, probably my favorite person on political YouTube, Josiah, who hosts the show pondering politics. You can find his channel played a little bit more of the clip than you saw in the intro there in the TY team video. And I thought had a really good take on the substance of that claim, as well as the politics of making it. He once said that America is the top dog in terrorism. Yes. Do you think America then is worse than Okinawa? Pound for pound as far as the number of deaths. Yes, we have caused tremendous terror all around the world. I think that that is not only terror that we are waging on regular civilians and nations in the periphery, but it's also having consequences on ourselves. It's having dramatic consequences on the home front. One clear example of this is what we did in Minna. There's no distinction between
blowing up a school, triple tapping it with Tomahawk missiles. If you're killing 140 school girls, that is an act of terror. This doesn't mean that all Americans are terrorists, but the reality of a matter is we have to create an environment of accountability to ensure things like that never happen again. Now that part's on controversial. We've talked about the Minnaub school triple tap. I use to call it a double tap, but I think it's a triple tap by the Trump administration and the Department of Defense. 160, I don't even think it was 100 for you. I believe it was 168 Iranian school girls were killed by the Trump administration by way of a triple tap from Tomahawk missile. It is probably the biggest war crime committed by the United States in 30 or 40 years. Multiple investigations have been committed both no externally by like the New York Times and others. I do believe there's an ongoing DOD investigation that Trump and Hegseth are doing everything in their power to suppress, but the preliminary results of the investigation leaked
months ago, which the DOD was like, yeah, we did this. We struck, the US government struck an Iranian elementary school killing 168 Iranian school girls. Then of course, Trump is trying to say, well, we don't know and trying to downplay both the attack itself and indicate that he may never release the public reports. You can't trust this administration to hold itself accountable at all. That's not the problem. The problem is Hassan saying, pound for pound, the United States is worse than al-Qaeda. Just categorically false. Pound for pound means you control for size, right? So you think about it. The United States is a 250 year old nation. We are, we have a massive military. We have the biggest defense budget in human history, where nuclear power, with the world's foremost economic power. So if you want to say that the United States has killed more civilians, then al-Qaeda, you could probably make that case. We have 250 years of a body count, right? But when
you say pound for pound, what you're suggesting is that if the United States and al-Qaeda were the same size. So basically, if you made al-Qaeda super power, or if you made the United States as small and as weak, comparatively speaking, as al-Qaeda, that the United States is inherently more malevolent than al-Qaeda and inherently more ruthless and more inclined to kill civilians. That's categorically false. For its size, the data show that al-Qaeda kills far more civilians, far more deliberately, than the United States. And so what Hassan Piker said was both factually wrong, and it was also politically incredibly irresponsible, which is why Abdul Al-Sahed has condemned the statement. He says, quote, I don't agree with the statement. Nor do I give much weight to the statements made by a social media streamer. As I've said, this campaign speaks for itself, and saying that you know any time you're talking about this issue, you're not talking about the price of gas groceries or health care. So Carolyn Levin falsely dishonestly claims that Hassan Piker is a spokesman for Abdul Al-Sahed.
This is just not true. I believe he only appeared with Abdul Al-Sahed once at a campaign event in the primary. And since then, Abdul Al-Sahed has put serious distance between himself. So you hear him going through. It's kind of when you make the pound for pound statement, what he's saying is like total civilian casualties or how many people we've unjustifiably killed. Josiah fills in the gaps there for why that's kind of an absurd comparison to make. But what's a bummer is when I say that, and I explain the world's biggest military and biggest global power being compared to a much smaller and weaker terrorist organization just in raw civilian deaths, is a bizarre way to inform the argument of we're worse than Al-Qaeda. Because definitely if you gave Al-Qaeda the power that we have, or if you gave them any of our adversaries, the power that we have, you could imagine some pretty disastrous results. But the bummer is when you say that or you
specify that, the reaction I already know from some of you right now in the comments will be almost alluding to the idea that then I'm ignoring the real atrocities that we've committed. And this is where people's brains have lost any capacity for anyone, where you understand how unique it is to be the world's sole superpower, at least for the last century. And with that comes an ability to enact really positive results on the world stage. And also anything we do, any choices we make, if they're the wrong choice, the scale of the outcome of that incorrect choice will be so large because of the massive hammer that we're using as the largest military in the world. And that doesn't justify one single atrocity that we've committed. And those should be called out. And by the way, the ways that we prevent our government and our vast power being used for bad things is caring about getting good leaders into office to wield that power. And once again, always comes back to,
this is why we should care. This is why we should care about getting good leaders into power. And it's super important that we don't do the right wing version of patriotism, which is ignoring our wrongs. But it's also important that we don't do the abandonment of patriotism thing that some folks on the quote unquote left do, which is to say there's no essence of America that we could grab onto that would really make us, that would really stimulate a love and passion for improving this country because we know what it can be at its best. And because of the responsibility that comes with being a citizen of such a powerful country. And we know when that power is wielded incorrectly, I mean, the example that was brought up there, being us blowing up a children's school, the carnage of that is both devastating for the carnage. And also because of the degrading
of an ability for us to have a moral high ground on the world stage, which is important for how much we have structured this world order. And there's positive components to it. I've talked to you before about us as a superpower choosing to use some of our resources and bolstering and creating international organizations that do have principles of human rights, even if we later go on and violate those principles. And things like NATO that is solely responsible and let's be honest, would not be able to exist like it currently does if we weren't a part of it and we didn't support it is responsible for some countries existing at all. And vast numbers of people being able to live in peace in a democratic system in countries that would otherwise have been gobbled up by bigger authoritarian regimes. And so there's there's positive characteristics to the post-war two world order that we're at the center of. And then there's also really negative characteristics and choices our government have made and much of our involvement in the Middle East has just been utterly catastrophic and completely
ignoring human rights. And so if you navigate that and then you acknowledge the true story, recent history or disin history of who we are and then engage with what we can be and why you love and are passionate about advocating for this country to be what it could, then I forgot exactly where I was going at that point. But that's where I want to see the conversation go. That to me is rational. The complete lack of nuance like we either have to have always been wonderful or we are the worst country to ever, you know, the where the worst option to be a superpower is just missing a lot of the reality of the world and the reality of this discussion. So that's kind of the substance of it is hey, let's call out the acts that you could call terrorist it. Let's call out the horrible atrocities is especially what we're seeing right now that we're trying to stop right now
as it relates to Iran. And on the substance, the statement he made is wrong. But then also as I was going to say the politics in what universe does this do anything positive as we're entering the midterms? Like in what universe do those words leaving your mouth help anybody? What's whoever the only thing if you're calling the actions of the Trump administration terroristic that you could do is make it more likely they hold on to power longer and do the bad things more. That's like the only hope. And I think it's why just statements like that always coming up and I'm getting tired of seeing them. It's just like stop. Can everybody just be rational in explaining progressive politics? Damn. But it's why Abdul keeps getting asked about this, which I do think hosts need to chill a little bit. This is not even close central to his campaign. But also while why he feels the need
to distance himself. And his son Piker was in the news again yesterday. You you I think you were you were critical of what he said about al-Qaeda and the United States and the comparison. You though you have said though, oh he's just a California streamer. He was a California streamer who's actively engaged in your primary campaign. Don't you think it's disingenuous just to call him like a California streamer when you know the guy you campaigned with a guy. He was a big part of your campaign. It wasn't a big part of my campaign. We had him to Michigan once. People in the course of the campaign and you know this show will have conversations with all kinds of people. And to me it's really important not just to have a conversation with an individual. I'm on your show Joe because I want to talk to the audience who's watching you right now. And the problem in our democracy too often is we say who we cannot talk to rather than asking how do we bring these folks back into an electoral fool. No, no, I totally get that. I remember Ronald Reagan said in 66 when he had a virtue problem. He said listen if they want to vote for me that's great. But the
verdict for me because what I believe not because I believe what they say. So I totally get that. I'm just saying if you just call him a California streamer that seems to minimize what he did in the primary. That's that's the only thing I'm asking you. Joe, here's my issue. Here's my issue. At the end of the day right he is a streamer in California. And the issue that everybody's focused on as we talked about is the price of gas and groceries in Michigan. Meanwhile you've got a guy like Mike Rogers who literally goes to Dallas instead of showing up to a debate in Detroit. To campaign with Donald Trump who not only says crazy stuff every day but does crazy stuff that costs you money. The tariff war, the war in Iran. And so it's frustrating to me that I never hear about Hassan Piker on the doors. I never hear about him on a set of conversations. I don't mean dinner up to you. Yeah. So that's this is just the situation that that we're in. But I do think
a lot of things can be true at the same time. Right. The fixation with Hassan like them showing his shirtless photos at the R&C and it being like Hassan, when he is just a streamer. That is a true statement from Abdul. And it's not like he's working throughout those campaigns. He's going to work in his office if he becomes a senator. I think Abdul was trying to reach larger audiences and Hassan has a larger audience. And Hassan was very supportive of him. So he was like great. I'll campaign with you. And then it became this huge headache because it kept getting brought up. But you can also just follow the thread of out politics working. You're like, oh, that's going to be brought up. But the tough thing is we kept saying politicians need to start going on everybody's platform. Right. Like it doesn't matter if Rogan has said crazy, COVID misinformation go on his podcast, go on a right wing podcast, go on the left wing podcast, go on a communist podcast, go on. So it's hard to go why did you do that? But the vibe and maybe I'm just being biased by the media coverage was that they were like buddy, buddy. So then you're giving imagery that will be used definitely from mainstream
and right wing media to make you answer for all of his statements. But of course that's never a standard Trump has held to. I just saw you know how one of the most famous statements that Hassan made that he later apologized for and you know has to this day into that Axios interview was trying to clarify is that America deserved 9-11. And that is brought up as you would expect anytime somebody's talking about his son or Abdul is like he said this years ago. And he's saying why I was trying to talk about like the concept of backlash and how if we go have crazy foreign policy, then things are going to come back to us even though a terrorist attack is not as nice but right. But I don't something like that. Which I don't know as somebody who also speaks for a living how those words go out of your mouth. You know what I mean? Like if the thought he was having was we did terrible terrible things in our foreign policy and we should have expected terroristic backlash when we were doing that. The way that the way as you're hearing yourself
utter the words we deserved a bunch of civilians being murdered in New York is not something I can relate to. I don't know how you don't stop yourself. But anyways, that's like the most famous statement Hassan has made it gets brought up every time to guilt by association Abdul else I yet. And you understand why that statement would drive so much outrage even if he tried to clarify. It's just an insane statement to make completely. Laura Lumer who actually does advise Trump recently said maybe we need another 9-11 because she was talking about like we don't understand how much we should fear Muslims maybe we need another 9-11. And I haven't heard a peep about that. And I haven't heard Trump asked about it even though again, Laura Lumer has made hiring, firing decisions for the president of the United States. And so that piece of it can be true that there's a double standard there as even Joe was mentioning there selectively outraged about guilt by association people and what they've said connected Democrats but never whenever it comes to the associations of Republicans. So that's piece one that yes, the media is doing Abdul Dirty here by putting this
much emphasis on a guy he did maybe one or two campaign events with. And it's really not that hard to speak about politics and to powerfully advocate for progressive positions without saying stuff like that. Okay. So that's my other piece I want to get to is hey also, also can we think before we speak please why even do the Axios interview just we need you to whoop a little bit. You still on your stream are going to advocate for people to go out and can't just wrap doing everything awesome. I don't need to hear about this anymore. Okay. That's how everyone feels just to be clear. Everyone feels like this is so annoying to keep hearing about. And part of it you can say but that's not anything. I was on good control because of right way media dishonest. Yes, they are. Yes, they're putting to a gym says yes, they're not going to ever focus on lower loom like they go by hand or whatever. But also what was the interview for? And then you
know, Jank said Axios was sent in there to trap him. Hey, Axios come interview me try to trap me. You won't get me to say something like that. If I want to make a point about horrific if purposeful characteristic decisions that the Trump administration has made, I'll just make those points. Never do I have to say something as obviously provocative and outrage oriented as what he did. You know what I mean? And every time I talk about this in my comments, it's always just like no, but now you're playing into their character or or it could be both or it could be a right wing op innocence and also wildly irresponsible advocacy or articulations of points that are now becoming, whether you like it or not, far too central to this midterm discussion that
I would ever like it to be. So let's just exit stage left and let's go back to center stage talking about gas prices. Shall we? That sound good to everybody. Deal. Intuition, Jank said, could we get an amogging you in honor of TV LBS beating Pears Morgan in the ratings? Sure. Oh yeah, we did. I'm holding you right now. On a pod monitor, which is like a tracking site for the sizes of different podcasts, we were above Pears Morgan show on the charts. Pretty cool, pretty cool. Z small man is awesome said Trump's golf club just dumped tiny fish into a chlorinated pool for kids to catch. Thought they were pro life. Guess not for fish. There it is. Let's talk about the midterms, but a less uncomfortable side, which is that the Texas, well, let me just play
this clip actually for the video segment before I explain the context. Greg Abbott is running for his fourth term as governor of Texas. It's a C. He is one by double digits every time he's been on the ballot. He has never actually even pulled behind a Democrat in election year as far as we can tell until today. A new recon MRCNPOL has Democrat Gina Inosa leading Abbott by four points among likely voters. Now, that's the first independent nonpartisan poll showing Inosa with lead. The polling average shows Abbott leading by nearly three points and he is unquestionably favored in the race. One sign is campaign may sense a possible shift is that after months of Abbott not even mentioning representative in all this by name, he is now directly attacking her. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, I felt bad because I was talking a ton about the Talarico race because that was the one that I kept hearing about as super winnable and was assuming that Greg Abbott, who just no matter what happens, stays in office forever for some inexplicable reason,
who I've never even met someone text and was like Abbott's doing a great job, but everyone keeps voting for him. This is way less discussed than Inosa race and her ability to win the governor's mansion, which would also be significant. It makes sense as I've explained before that the Talarico race is getting more attention because it's a national position so he'd be going to the federal government and a lot of shows like mine talk mostly about national politics, but I live in Texas and I also need to care about this. And I have some clips of her on MS now talking about this contrast between her and Abbott against Gina in Inosa and there I guess a poll showing her leading which in Texas is bonkers doesn't mean it will happen, but the fact that it's very possible, more than possible, is once again something I think you can be hopeful about. These are hyper scaled data centers that have hyper scale impacts on our communities and so I was in Red Oak, Texas, outside of Dallas a couple
weeks ago and they have seven data centers descending onto that community in Red Oak. In Red Oak alone. I was sitting in a living room next to the property line where there was going to be a data center that was 900 acres large. People are mad and it's mostly mega-repolicans who are mad. They invited me into their community, I sat in their living room and they were, I call them Gina curious, right? They were asked what are you about? When you think about these things, we had tough conversations, but what I said to them is that Abbott's been using the culture words to divide us and meanwhile he just takes his arm money to give to his donor friends, right? Like this year we have to come together to save ourselves because the fight of 2026 is to decide is this going to be a Texas and an America that is by and for the people or is this like the billionaires world and we just live here at that? I think if there were to be some sort of historic swing in a bunch of different races
and the Texas governors mentioned, look up, my guess is 1996 was the last time that a Democrat was in the governors mansion in Texas and you can check that for me and now I'm blanking on her name but it's a female governor who was iconic and that was the last Democratic governor that we had but if it were to be a situation where places thought red would swing blue, I think it would be this election. Do you hear every topic is reaching across political lines? This isn't even a debate about, you know, healthcare that is so important, you think everyone cares about but Republicans have been able to hijack a certain narrative on that that says when Democrats talk about healthcare, socialists but with this Republicans are just as angry about the oligarchs as Democrats. Republicans are just as angry about the economic conditions as Democrats. Republicans are just angry at data centers being an emblem of billionaires getting their way while yours are trampled over as Democrats are and so the ability to channel a message across these campaigns in different states
even in places thought to be strong red is uniquely primed right now and that's what's really exciting and Richards yes in 1995 she left office I was very close I was a good guess and Richards 1995 was last time a Democrat won in Texas as governor so just to be clear we're talking about decades of Republican governance and Greg Abbott still is trying to tell us no no no no no but Tala Rico oh and you know as uh made the problems in Texas you back and we're gonna ban Sharia law in Texas really that's that's supposed to get us riled up the threat of Sharia law okay uh here's more from you know the culture wars are dead in 2026 and what people are starting to understand is as we were fighting like over Thanksgiving dinner amongst family about culture wars the only people who won were like 15 billion are tech dudes who are controlling the world taking all our
money power all our data and are about to blow it up if we don't come together fast to find a way forward so it feels like a watershed moment in Texas where we are breaking through almost feels like we're entering into a postpartisan era because people are disappointed by both parties and they're just looking for a candidate who will work for that brilliant brilliant you see what I mean it's can it can it be so because I've seen some people maybe I'm thinking of something that happened earlier in this week who are still embodying what I call not yummy liberalism okay which is when you take the essence of liberalism which is so yummy scrum dilly umbsh as I love it I love yes liberal queen woo um and then you distort it and you make it really unpalatable to your average American whereas usually the just so you know the policies that we stand for
a hundred percent of the time are more popular than the policies that conservatives advocate for for okay we have like a built-in advantage and it doesn't feel that way because they're able to message better so even if our hearts in the right place and if we governed it would be so much better if we get bogged down like she said these culture boards and are and we're all arguing about his on-biker um instead of locking the leap in then we'll keep losing but if we go oh Greg Abbot baby you're trying to revive shreway law scare mongering stop it um we care about giving the power back to people oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh my god let's be yeah that's right that's right then we win then we win because when we fight
and you know we're gonna last time but it's gonna work out this time we win oh gosh that's uh very enough familiar is what Kamala would say say at the interval of rallies and it was so sad when she said it and then the next day we lost but I think it's real this time and it just requires a little bit of focus a people don't understand what I'm saying when I say this but we I just gave you an example last segment please take a breath think about the things that everyone agrees with that we stand for oh we should have protections for workers that can't be trampled over by their bosses love it oh we need to raise the minimum wage love it oh we need a basic standard of health insurance for everybody love it oh we're gonna through taxation harness the wealth of the top 1% to properly invest in uh social programs that benefit low income Americans love it that will create better and more prosperous communities for everyone even middle and upper
class folks who will live in a coherent and vibrant community because people's needs are met love it we will not keep wasting money on needless foreign wars and instead invest that money in education love it right just whoop whoop keep it simple it's pretty simple don't don't go I oh you did it I thought you'd do it you want to walk over too but I but I want to talk about eliminating all private property shhh shhh shhh shhh shhh shhh shhh shhh shhh um come here come here come here come here to do this No one can talk about this. Okay, to do this, we got it all right here. Focus. Focus, we can do something good here. Don't you dare, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, you want to know where they're again. You want a debate about drag queens again? Mm-mm, mm-mm, mm-mm. Focus. Good.
Also in a similar theme, the state of Republicans campaigning. However much we just talked about, ills in a Democratic campaign, it's 10 times worse on Republican side in terms of them scrambling to figure out, how do we win these races when we have nothing to run on? So much so that a Republican Congresswoman, as I told you previously, had to release a campaign out of where she's like, hey, Trump, you're two in 10th on immigration, it's insane. And I'll remind you of that, but then I want to show you because I was thinking, where do I remember Maria Salazar from? That's their Republican Congresswoman. I feel like I know her from a clip that made me happy and I don't know what, oh, and then I found it. And it's a moment that is one of the funniest interview moments from a Congressperson, just getting exposed. So we'll watch that, but first here is the ad of her saying, President Trump, as a Trump supporting Congresswoman, you've gone too far. Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far. In July, 50% of the 50,000 people that were detained had no criminal records.
Be careful what your advisors are telling you about immigration policies. The same Hispanics who help you get to the White House in 2024, feel betrayed today. You can be for immigration, what Lincoln was for slavery and Reagan was for communism. I'm not talking about giving them amnesty. I'm talking about giving them a dignified life in this promised land. And only you can do that. So that's what she said. It led to a lot of Trump supporters saying very mean things about her and they were not happy. But I think that we should spend our time in this segment. Remarking on how remarkable that is that a Republican Trump supporting a Congressperson who is in a district that went really strongly for Trump in the last election is so nervous about the state of public sentiment towards Trump and his immigration policy, economic policy that she made that video. But less does not forget just because she said that and it's much more reasonable than a lot of Republicans. Doesn't mean that this clip still doesn't exist. When she tried to take credit for a Biden policy
that she voted against, oh, I love these. I love these. It's the best. I don't know why Democrats don't do this. I've almost never seen a clip like this. So good for them. But Republicans constantly vote against bills and then go to their district and campaign on how great the bill they voted against was that the Democrats actually were the ones who passed. And then watching them get caught is just, I don't want to say what it does to me but it does something to me. I'm going to talk about some of the spending going on in Congress and the fact that Congress doesn't seem to be able to. Let's go to America's Act, which is both and largely the Argentina. No, let me go to spending. Which I also introduced in Congress. Last month you were at FIU and you presented a check for $650,000 to help small businesses at FIU. But you voted against the bill that gave the money that you then signed a check for and handed and had a photo up. The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, right? You voted against that bill. I, right now you have to give me more details but I do know that every time I have an opportunity to bring money to my constituents, I do so.
I just, I just did $400,000. But look, you voted against the Chipson Science Act, right? Listen, right now I need to, I need to ask my staff but what do we look at? They're $40 million. You don't know if you voted for one of the major pieces of legislation you need to ask your staff. This isn't, did you vote on that random procedural role? This is the mother effing Chipson Science Act. Does that take you back? When I say that, does that take you back? Now try this, inflation reduction act, infrastructure law, Chipson Science Act. Guess why? The closing time. I make it. That take you back to 2022? Yeah. You only be Medicare. Backed act. I have brought to this committee. Aren't you proud of me? Aren't you proud of the $40 million? But how much? But how do you proud that I wrote the Dignity Act? Haven't I, let's talk about the America's then? Wait, wait, wait, wait one second. Tell me. The money that you talk about, the $40 million
that you bring back to the district. Sometimes that money comes from bills that you voted against. You voted against the Chips Act, and yet you praise the fact that the South Florida climate resilience tech hub is going to be started in Miami, right? You voted against the infrastructure bill, and you talk about all the money that comes back to the airport. So at the same time that you're taking credit for the money that you bring back to the district, in Washington, you're voting against these projects on party line votes. Listen, I think that was last cycle. I cannot really remember right now, but just look at the America's Act, which is what I'm going to vote. Just want to explain why you vote against this. I mean, right now, and I'm not trying to be a politician, there's so many bills that I've introduced. I know that I'm going to vote against that. Understand. But it's, it's, I just want to emphasize, because you might have forgotten, the infrastructure bill was not like some random or like obscure. This was the landmark in addition to the alleged product check. Those two were Biden's agenda.
So Biden, whenever he got into office, rolled out this thing called Build Back Better Baby without the baby. And that had a bunch of things in it. It then became clear because of these two goobers named Cinnamon Manchin that we weren't going to get all the Build Back better baby Biden. And so he had to split it up and reduce it. So he split it up into the inflation reduction act and the infrastructure law. And the inflation reduction act was a party line vote. The infrastructure law was a bipartisan legislation with some Republican joining Democrats to pass it. It still wasn't anywhere close to what would have been in the full Build Back Better Bill. But it was a lot and it was significant. This is like the agenda. And she's acting like she doesn't remember how she voted. And this happened over and over and over. Boba would go around and be like, I got a bunch of money. That's not how she talks, but you get it. I got, woohoo. I got a bunch of money for my new district, you.
Or something like that. And I think Marjorie did a similar thing. I got a bunch of, money for my, district. And she didn't vote for those bills. Neither did it at Boba. Neither did Maria Salazar. Can you pull up Biden, Boba vote it against and see if we can find this? Because there's a clip of Biden being like, Congressman Boba, Boba, Boba, against Boba, against infrastructure. That's so fast, Jack. And I would love to out recount on that moment. But yeah, I mean, that's Maria Salazar. So good for her for calling out Trump, but it's obviously just a self-interested act. Why are you waiting this long? Also, if you had a problem with it, here's Biden touting dynamics. What our co-exist is doing here is part of much broader clean energy manufacturing. It's going to happen in big cities and rural communities. Well, like in Colorado,
a CS wind broke ground on what will be the world's largest wind tower manufacturing plant. And, coincidentally, CS wind is Congresswoman Laura Bobert. You know that very quiet Republican lady? It's in her district, who along with every other Republican voted against this bill. And it's making all this possible. And she railed against this passage. But that's OK. She's welcoming it now. When I ran for almost, I promised I promised to be president of all Americans. Whether you're living a blue state or a red state, I'm going to keep my promise. Yeah. Good, good, good stuff. But it's in her district. I love the lean forward so much. I love it. That's the most Biden statement ever too. That quiet Republican lady. It's like, if it weren't woke too,
I would be saying that that's a little close to sexist Joe. Joe can't be sexist. You know what I mean? It's just you get grandfathered and I think that that Republican broad was her name. You're like, oh, it's fine. How long are you over 80? You're good. Pass. Now, if we said that, no, no, no, no. But he, all right, you're grandfathered in. But yeah, it's brutal out there for Republicans. Look at the way that this interview with a congressman was introduced by Varney. I think you got a problem. $4 gas, $6 diesel, 7% mortgages. It's hard to argue that you're better than them when it comes to the economy. That's a Fox business host saying it's kind of hard to argue that you're better. And then here's Tom Emmer, the Republican going, I'll argue it. Watch this. Spending is up 6% from last year.
I think people are going to do that emotional thing. Like somebody just sent me a meme that said $4 gas in $6 diesel, not acceptable, but it's not going to get me to vote for a communist. The thing was in the title was good. New Jersey would. OK. So polling reveals they are going to vote for who you are calling communist, which are just Democrats. But at least you saw a meme of somebody saying they won't. Did you hear at the beginning? He said this. Spending is up 6%. They keep bragging about that. Listen, people are saying the economy isn't good enough. But if that were true, why are people spending way more? It's like, I can think of one reason why. Because things cost more. Door. We got a big dur back. Keaton Wilkins says, buying men, motor, Battlestar Galactica.
That's funny. Thank you for referencing something I understand. Not Battlestar Galactica, but at office, the office where that's from. But Beats, Bummah. Bear's Beats Battlestar Galactica. Yeah, that's it. Thank you. Thank you very much. OK. All right. Get it. All right. All right. Um, Pamela. I want to review this debate. It was more of just like two people shouting over each other. And one was making good points. And the other was making bad points. But Metty Hassan was on with Nancy Mase on Pears and Morgan's show. And brought up reporting that she was a really bad boss as being a Republican Congresswoman. And we heard just a very toxic workplace. And she, one of the anecdotes was that she would get her staff to do things that were just like personal assistant stuff, which is not what they're supposed to do. They're supposed to do government work for you. Not go by you alcohol in the middle of the night. And so then Metty referenced that when Nancy Mase,
when it was becoming clear that Nancy Mase was not going to be endorsed for her governor run, which she lost in South Carolina by Trump. And her opponent, Pamela Ivet, was probably going to be endorsed and was endorsed shortly after this post. I'm going to show you Nancy Mase made an AI image video where her and Trump are doing the thumbs up. And she said Pamela Ivet is not endorsed by Donald Trump. Do not believe her lies. Moments later, Trump sent out a post endorsing Pamela. But Nancy Mase tried to trick her followers by doing an AI image to make it look like she was the one who was endorsed by Trump. All very bizarre. So then Metty Hassan was like, hey, when you posted that, were you drunk? Oh, and then the debate went completely off the rails. Here we go. Why did you put out an AI video? Let me ask you an endorsed. Let me ask you. Let me ask you. Will you let me ask you an example? When you did that, I'm going to be working back. Stop, just stop. It's on your Twitter, I'm going to be showing you. Now, let me go see it. It's a fake video of you and Trump.
I want to ask you. I'll try to play this with not too many interruptions, but Peer's just completely lost control of the show at this part. And he just kind of gives up. He's like, hang on, hang on. And finally, he just goes, all right, have fun. I want to ask a separate question about what did an image this would have been? Picture that was animated. Metty, this is stupid. Like your argument doesn't make any logical sense. It's a fake video on the day he endorsed your opponent. Everyone wondered why you did it, Trump endorsed your opponent. You lied and said he hadn't endorsed your opponent. I just wonder, were you drunk at the time? What was going on? Why would you post an AI video? Well, now you've gone. Now you've gone. You're not just big in it. You're not. See, this is what happens when I'm in it. I'm wondering why you'd put out a crazy video. A woman. Now you're smearing me and defaming me. OK, I get two pauses throughout this video. I'm using my first paus. That was funny for Metty. Nancy has said some of the most heinous things about people she doesn't like imaginable. She famously, when asked about why she supports a sexual
abuser being downed Trump, she will say that because of her own, the fact that she has been abused, that that is rape shaming her, even though we're just asking why do you support Trump? And then she's like, you're rape shaming me. And it's like, wait, what? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, shame about your story. It's about his why do you support him, despite his story. And so then she's trying a similar tactic here where she goes, oh, see, this is what happens when a man debates a woman. And you're like, Nancy, your mega. Like, you don't get to pull the woke card on us. OK, I know that sounds weird. People can be an arm massage and it's against right wing women. And that should be called out. In this case, you're just not being subjected to any massage in the at all. He's just making a point that he would make about anybody if the same reporting were out about them. But she tries to do this so often where she thinks that she'll like Jedi mind trick liberals by using liberal language against liberals and make them go, oh, wait, I must not be able to say what I just said.
And I love how many. He's like, no, I'm not. I'm not even going to engage with that. She's like, see, this is a man talking down to a woman. No, it's a pun that talking to a congress person. That's it. That's it. Put out a crazy video. A woman. Now, now you're smearing me and defaming me on this news. You're two Muslim women ejected from a store in a grocery store. You haven't addressed that yet. I do not get drawn. I never said you were. And that's disgusting. You just have to fight it. You're former staffer said it. You're former staffer said you drink a lot. I never said that. That was an event. I never said that. Your former staffer told you your magazine. You drink all day long. I didn't say that. I said you drunk when you posted an AI video. But your staffers, your staffers say you sent them to buy you alcohol at two o'clock in the morning. That's true. That's what your staffers told you your magazine. I don't know if it's true or not. But that's what they said. Well, it's not true. Who said that? I never said that. They said that. Your team. Nobody said that. It was so. Your former comms director. Your former comms director said it.
It's never happened. Your former communications director said you asked staff to go get drinks for you. It was made up out of the name. It was made up out of the name. It was made up out of the name. And they were known. While you're doing town halls. It's not true. No, no, there's a name on that. Give me the name. You want me to give you the name? Take it up with her. It's not true. Take it up with her. Take it up with her. Her name is Natalie Johnson. She says that you drank so much. She'd have interns and junior staff run to Congressional liquor during the work day. So she could invite during town halls. That's what she said. Take it up with your former comster. She doesn't like you either. Donald Trump doesn't like you. She doesn't like you. And Muslims don't like you for being racist towards us. Wow. Well, that I think you heard everywhere there. Huh? I think it was very coherent. Did you hear one part where she says I don't get drunk. Listen to this. I didn't say that. I said when you drunk when you posted AI. Okay, that's not the part. At one point she says I don't get drunk. Hey. Now I know you're lying. I've never had a civil alcohol in my life.
And you might think that I'm exaggerating. Now that's literally how she's defended her claim, defended against these claims before. Which by the way, I don't know. Aren't the most bombshell claims ever. Like a Jaden and Kohl have gotten me alcohol before. I don't know if that's like super unproven. But it gets silly when she denies it for no reason. And then she came up with the story. I actually have a disease. I'm laughing because it's not true. Just so you know, I have a disease that makes it to wear or a condition, excuse me, a condition that makes it to why I can't drink alcohol. Okay? So we made a little video to fact check that. And let me play it for you when it loads, which you're just, you're so ready for. With a genetic condition that I've had I had of all my life. I had to come out with a genetic condition that I've had I had of all my life. I'm not allowed to drink or consume much in a way of alcohol. It's called hemacromatosis. If you do, it'll destroy your organs and you'll die. They'll literally kill her.
Nancy Mase was getting her staffers to go get alcohol for her in the middle of the night. Not appropriate use of your congressional staffers. She says it would literally kill her. Okay? So, she says it would kill me. Done. Case closed. What? What's this? That's weird. Wait, what was this? That's weird. Wait, what was this? Yeah, I'll drink to that. Oh, but maybe that's not alcohol. Maybe that's like soda. This is a little country lover. Oh, weird. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. What are you doing? Maybe they're all actually not alcoholic. I had. So, yeah. It's tough when you film yourself drinking a lot to then claim you don't. What's don't do it? Don't say I never get, we all sometimes get drunk. Not all of us. Some people literally don't drink. But people who do drink can just say, oh, I've never been, I've never abused alcohol.
And I've never asked my staff to do anything inappropriate. And I was not drunk when I sent out that AI image. That was the other funny part. She said, it's not a video. It's an image that was animated to move, which is a video, which is another weird thing to be honest. It wasn't a video. It was a series of pictures that moved very quickly one after another sequentially. That's what it was. So, yeah. Nancy Mase is kind of her career is ending in a very sad and strange way. She now has her podcast that is sad and strange. And that's sort of the Nancy Mase story. Good honor. IDF kills children sent to Super Chat saying, hello, everyone. Hello back to you. Keaton Wilkins said, poor Jaden and Cole getting booze for overlord, Luke. By the way, it's almost always for all of us that they're getting for booze and booze.
Is it different if we have a show where we're required to drink? Does that change the professionalism? We have a show, Boozler News, which happens to be tonight at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. On YouTube, so make sure to join us. And a fun little fun sort of fun thing about it is we might let everyone watch it today as a little test run. So get in. You should still become a member by clicking the join button, but everyone can join at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. And we'll be boozing and we'll be news. Alrighty. Dr. G is a behavioral expert, a body language expert, I should say, maybe a behavior psychologist. I'm throwing out a lot of words, but if you'll take this down, I'll get the correct ones for you. Body language analysis from Dr. G. Here's his channel. Thank you, Dr. G. We're going to review your video where he analyzes Mitch McConnell and uses his expertise to say, what should we look out for in terms of what is going on with
Mitch from the perspective of an expert, Dr. G. Because from my eyes, everything looks fine, you know, as a layman when I see Mitch, I'm like, he seems perfectly okay. But I guess according to this doctor, something's off. Something's off, quote unquote, with Mitch. So like, we'll see if he convinces us. Does not understand what he is doing. So the bar we're setting for him right now is just that he literally has any awareness at all of what's going on around him. Okay. There's a lot of silence while the videos are playing just so you know, it actually makes sense that he would have a reaction to something like that, even if he is severely impaired, because we are wired for danger. So if we feel a bump, if we feel something that feels scary to us, we probably will react to that. So the question is, does he understand how to interact with other people at this point? Can he comprehend what is being said to him? Let's keep going and then we're going to see more of how he interacts with people.
And this is the part where the video is playing and Mitch is pulling up to the table. Now, I'm going to replay this in slow motion so you can see it more clearly. But when he was put into position, he reached out to touch Senator Hoven right next to him. And I think that's basically because he's been trained to shake hands with people. He is capable of so little at this point. He can follow orders. I think that they've taught him to smile at everybody, to shake hands when people come nearby. So I think that's actually what he was trying to do because he doesn't understand the situation well enough to do anything else. But watch this right here. Oh gosh. I hadn't noticed that. That Mitch kind of gave a little hand squeeze to the person who was sitting next to him. And then kind of dragged the guy's hand down below the table. I don't know exactly what's going on there.
But I mean, I personally want Mitch to be okay. You know, I want him to be resigned and okay. I want him to not be in office and be okay. And if in some wild world, his brain's not working, his body's not working mostly, but one part of the body is still working. I mean, good for him. You know what I mean? Now we're going to watch Mitch McConnell actually attempt to vote. No. Senator Luhaan. No. Currently, they're voting on a farm bill and Mitch McConnell is supposed to say, I, before this happens, I want you to watch the interaction he has with this individual. All right. I'll watch him. Senator Monarch. May I come back? Come back. Senator Welch. Yeah. So right now he's being spoken to. I presume he's being told to say, I, now I want to show you how I know that Mitch McConnell has no idea what's going on. I want you to watch Mitch McConnell's hand and you're going to see something important here. Okay. Senator Federman.
No. I'm going to go back so you can watch this again. But that individual was holding on to Mitch McConnell's arm to make sure that he knew that someone was speaking to him. But Mitch McConnell is actually trying to shake his arm as though they're shaking hands. Because as I said, I believe he's been trained to shake hands with everybody. That's one of the things he probably is supposed to be able to do well at this point. But watch this. He really has no concept of what's happening right here. And are Welch. And that. Oh, he also didn't nod his head. You didn't see him. Yeah, he thought he was, he thought it was a handshake. Okay. He sort of changed an expression. I'm still not convinced. He seems fine to me. But we'll keep watching, I guess, to see if Dr. G convinces me. All he did was look the way of the person who had just touched him. That was the extent of what you got. For sure. No by proxy. Senator Slotkin. No by proxy. Senator McConnell. So this is actually notable. He was just told how to vote presumably.
He was just told. Do you understand? It's before they call on him and then he hasn't know how to vote. Now you'll notice immediately when his name is called McConnell looks to the right to see what he's supposed to do. Watch this again. Senator McConnell. No. So immediately he needs to get reassurance if even just lifting his finger is the correct thing to do. See. Senator McConnell. No. Okay. Now the senator to his left was a little bit confused and thought McConnell was supposed to say no. So he was trying to correct him. The important part there is that everybody around him seems to know he has no idea what's going on. They know I didn't notice that the first time we watched this, but that other senator is a little iconic because he's like, okay, hey, I remember there is this episode in modern family. Oh, Luke, you only know the office. No. I watched lots of cinema, modern family.
The like the aunt of Jay, one of the characters is it has suffered some sort of medical event and forgot everything. And so then Jay goes in and tries to take advantage of it to get the aunt to like give him a like house or something. Something like that. You know what I mean? It's one of those situations where Mitch McConnell was just told to vote yes. So then he raises his one finger, which I guess means yes. The other thing is like no, no, you're supposed to say no. And so then he's like no. And then the other people are like no, no, no, say yes. And then everyone's just talking on Mitch and reaching on the table, like trust me, Matt, she a one of vote. No. Oh, actually, the other person reaches another one of vote. Yes, it's getting very confusing. All right, Dr. Jay is convincing me. I think something might be off with Mitch. Well, they're going to have to guide him to get anything meaningful out of him. Senator McConnell. All right. And then he looks to the right again and Mouth I to make sure that he was saying the right
thing. And then he said it louder. Senator McConnell. All right. Senator Hoveen. So what is abundantly clear at this point is that Mitch McConnell has absolutely no idea what is going on. I suspect he doesn't understand that he's actually voting on anything, much less what he is actually voting on. The ability to comprehend what's going on around him appears to be so limited that he needs reassurance even to know whether or not he should lift his finger. What one other bit of analysis we got in the chat from chickkov was a lip reader analyzed it and the staff are whispered to him, guess what? And McConnell first responded, what? So kind of not his fault in a way. Okay, that makes sense. I appreciate you specifying that. Imagine people are just playing with them. That's so sad. You can say what? He's like, what? You're like, ha, gotcha. This whole sequence again, then we'll move on. No by proxy.
Senator McConnell. No. Senator McConnell. So this part is where I start, like I said, I start saying maybe there's a little issue, a little bit of an issue. But then he does skip forward to another video that is just Mitch having a good time in the back of a car. And I guess there was also something concerning in this video. And it's where his mouth is a gate for some reason. This video looks awfully familiar. It looks like the last one that I analyzed from TMZ from a couple of days ago, but it's not. This is a separate video entirely, but we're getting exactly the same reaction, which is absolutely nothing. I want you to watch the whole video that we'll talk more about what this could possibly be. Any other bills you're looking forward to? What could it possibly be? It's just such a mystery. I don't know what it could possibly.
Hmm. There's some witchcraft going on here, I think. Oh, yeah. Are we voting tonight, Senator? When can we expect you back, Senator? What we're seeing is a profound lack of spontaneous facial expressions. Yeah, he tends to keep this odd smile on his face almost in a mask-like way. And we see issues like this in advanced Parkinson's disease. Sometimes you also see these kinds of behaviors in something like Louis body dementia. But what's very clear is there are serious neurocognitive impairments going on, and he does not seem to have any ability to... So why does this matter? You know why? He's a senator still. Hey, dude. Move on. Go live your life. Live your life. And I don't say this in a mean way, but like if he's this... Why doesn't... If he's this adamant about doing it, just let him sit at a table and say, I... You know what I mean? Like it's not even mean.
Just sit around the kitchen table, have some family and friends sit around, and they go, today we're voting on the Gasey Web Bill and how does Senator McConnell vote, and he can go, oh, and then he feels fine. Like who is this? It's for his staff. His staffs just make it paid time off practically. They bring them there. Does other people tell him out of vote? So they don't have to do any research. The staff is supposed to be doing a lot of the research so they know about the bills they're working on. He's not working on anything. And other senators are telling him out of vote and they're competing to trick them out of vote on everything. Like, I guess that's a good gig for the staff, but it is... It should be a crime. This should be criminal to be this incapacitated and the people around you let you stay as Senator. That's deranged. Unbelievable. Oh my gosh. Sean says, dare.
And that's it. Make sure you join us at 6PM Eastern Time on YouTube for our booze on the news. We're going to have a good time. Podcast listeners, if you appreciate the show, please leave a rating and a review. Much love. Talk to you all later.
