Therapy's biggest impact doesn't show up in some dramatic breakthrough. It shows up in the smallest moments. You bite your tongue instead of escalating. Hello chickens. Peter is still continuing his text messages about the colony in space, which is now weirdly devolved into a rendition of Pirates of Pensans by the IMC Thugs. The digging up this planet from underneath the feet of not only the colonists,
but the indigenous life there as well. Problematic in the extreme. It's not great because the colonization is bad. And so is the mineralizing. The mineral wealth being exploited and the place left in a mess. And no one seems to be thinking of the people who've always lived there. Peter says, another court session. Yay! I mean, this one is at least a little spicier and then the next line is just get on with it. Obviously not spicy enough for Peter. Like, it's not, he hasn't even finished that text. They've done to just get on with it. Oh, hit by a primitive rock. Bet you feel silly now. Why do they keep saying primitive? It's really offensive.
Gales big scene and it's with Coldwell. What a moment. Boring, but wow. It feels like because he's built up Coldwell because of his mustache and his built up. Is that a Mary in this? I don't know. Helen Wurth's character Gale from Coronation Street. He's built both of them up as his favourite characters in this. And now he's excited that they have a scene together, even though it's boring. And all I can think of is the audience when I went to see Dr. Strange and the multiverse of Madness. And it was the audience was screaming and yelling whenever like, oh, here comes Professor X in his, you know, space chair. And oh, here comes Mr. Fantastic played by Old Mate from the office, Jim.
And now here comes Haley Atwell as Captain America. Oh my god, this is amazing. And everyone's excited and it's like, and also Anson Mount as Black Bolt. Because he played Black Bolt in the TV series in humans as well as he plays. Sexy Captain Daddy from Star Trek Strangely Worlds. I keep calling him Daddy and he's younger than me. He's like 52 or something. Anyway, that's what it's like. Gale and Cocktail getting together. It's like, oh, this is exciting. And then you're like, you're not much happened. Did it? It's like it is sometimes people get excited. Those Marvel movies just because of this characters in it. And then it's like, I wouldn't mind a story to go with all this. Like a little tiny story would be fun instead of, oh, there's someone so meeting. So like people losing their minds this week, I saw about, I think it was the trailer for Avengers Poomsday.
What's it, Doomsday? Poopoo Day. I'm so grown up. I called it Poopoo Day. So Avengers Doomsday, how does a trailer? And when you're watching a normal cinema, you're like, yeah, that's exciting where the thing meets the other guy and they shake hands. Uh, and then someone's show to photo, they were in one of the, have you seen those extended cinemas where it's not like the iMacs, which is big. And it's like, they have bits down the side. I think they've got one in like, um, Hamilton maybe here in Sydney. I don't know where they are in the rest of Australia, but they're all over the world. It's like extended bits down the side. And you can watch more of the film. Anyway, someone noticed that in that film was, uh, Wyatt Russell, who plays one of the Captain Americas that's in like the Thunderbolts asterisk Avengers thing.
You know, he was in the Captain America and his boring friend. Um, what? Remember that TV series that came out during the pandemic and was just eviscerated and it was really strange. It was like, kept feeling like there had been scenes missing because like people would talk to each other. You've got to come in and it's like, when did you talk to her the first time? It feels like you're really familiar with her. Anyway, um, I hated that show. See, I can, I cannot like things. I'm not always a booster for everything. Uh, even Dr. Who, I've told you, call on the end space. It's a little dull. It's six episodes. Could have been two. Um, anyway, we've just had Gales big scene with Coldwell. What a moment to boring, but wow. I got into that weird Avengers tangent. Oh, and there's, they're re-releasing one of the Avengers. So that people will go and see it because it's got four new scenes in it. And I think they've re-graded it really dark. So you fall asleep. Um, I think because they're worried about losing the number one film,
because it's been the number one film for ages. So if they re-release it, then it'll get more money. And they're only competing with Spider-Man at this point. I really like that Spider-Man maybe. Okay. Uh, then Peter says, now that's a cliffhanger. Will the master press his Jamie Dodger or not? He's got a like a button thing. Remember when the doctor tried to convince the Daleks that the Jamie Dodger was going to destroy them? It was the best. I miss Matt Smith. He was so much fun. Um, Peter says, I love the master. A half-baked plan doomed to fail. He's the best. This is how we like our Doctor Who villains. We like them to be half-paked. Um, Peter says he ripped down the crop yield line graph. What a monster. Peter loved that line graph. It is really bad.
Um, it's, uh, it's, it's okay. Peter loves stats. He did, as he says, sums at Oxford. Um, that's what we called mathematics in the old day. Oh man, I wrote a short story recently where um, the main character kept insisting on calling it maths because, uh, math was singular and mathematics was not what it was short for. It's mathematics. So it should be maths anyway. He was a stickler. Um, he was, uh, yeah, I should, I should publish it on my thing. I keep trying to get someone else to publish it, but if they won't, I'll put it on a sub-stack or something. It's a fun story. It's called hilariously after math, get it? Uh, anyway, Peter says, okay, it's over. I have to support the colonists. Dent is too evil and cold will just isn't enough anymore of
because it's because the ripping down of the line graph. Mud wrestling. I didn't realize how much I didn't need to see this. I used to host mud wrestling. Did you know that? In the 2000s, early 2000s, late 2000s. No, it was when I was doing radios. It would have been like 2005, 2006, something like that. Um, with swish who was a drag queen, uh, who used to host mud wrestling at connections in Perth. Connys, as it's known locally, uh, and swish came over to Melbourne and started up the mud wrestling in Melbourne. And, uh, I was asked to host. I think it was on a Sunday night. What was I thinking? Working at the peel on a Sunday night until who knows what time and then getting up for breakfast radio the next day? Idiot. Uh, but that's my life. My life is still like that. Like I still stay out all night doing work things and then trying to get up and go to another work thing. Doing this podcast now at, I don't know what time it is.
Um, and I mean, I'm avoiding going home if I'm a lifeist. I don't want to have any more awkward conversations. It's tiring. Um, about space. Uh, not out of space, not fun space. Like I need to make. Uh, I'm not sure if I should be revealing these things. Look over there at them. Uh, anyway, uh, I did. I hosted mud wrestling. Um, and it was fun. It was mud wrestling at the peel in Melbourne, which is an infamous gay bar that no one goes to. But everyone ends up. Um, that punch in the face made me laugh though. It says Peter. Oh, bless. Um, we've done it again. Peter, how do I keep getting ending episodes? Like your texts are going forever. I mean, is anyone enjoying this? Like you even watching colony in space.
