Oh we are back. Peter is texting us about the colony in space. Which is a difficult title because as we've discovered most British colonies and not worked out okay. Like the decolonisation. I think we are still technically accolade. No we had a bunch of colonies in Australia and then they joined together to become a federation

3:07but also still part of the empire. But part of the Commonwealth, I don't really know how it works but we're not an individual country. We still have the King as our head of state. But yeah in 1901, January the 1st, 1901, which is you know you would go wise and that was Australia day because it's New Year's Day bamps. If you ever came to Sydney and be like no we're not doing anything else, we're just having New Year's Day. We do the fireworks, everyone loves it, the fireworks go off about two hours after it gets dark. Like honestly it's like the sun goes down about eight o'clock and then nine o'clock there's fireworks and then midnight there's fireworks. And the next day, New Year's Day is the quietest day in Sydney. There is literally nothing to do because everyone is asleep or hungover. And for someone like me who does not drink anymore, finding something to eat for lunch is difficult because everyone is asleep or hungover. I don't

4:12know I'm talking like they're asleep now because it's months away but here we are. Yeah the Australia day should be the day of federation. January the 1st, 1901 when the disparate colonies of Australia became one big thing and they did that because like that was starting to build around railways and things like there you can go to Yarra Wonga and Moayla which are on different sides of the Victorian and New South Wales border and they had different train gauges. You had to get off the train and get on a different train to keep going to Melbourne. Like you know before there were planes so it was either the train or a bunch of horses taking you. And yeah they developed so much that they had their own money, they had their own train systems, different gate. It was it was a lot and they were just like we're going to get this sort of out for going to be one big country. I mean I know it's the size of a continent but there's not many people live here.

5:19So it's a lot of emptiness. A lot of empty bits all the way. Anyway Peter is texting us about the colony in space. Why do I end up here? It's the tangency come for us isn't it really? I hope so because there's a lot of them. Peter says it's the colonist spaceship. They made it in inverter commas. Boom. Cold well basically doomed them with that line. Oh no they blew up the colonists. There's a lot of shouting but it's all nonsense really isn't it? Laughing face emoji. Delgado is having a blast. That's a big obvious lever for a self-destruct. I can't wait to watch this bit. That's wild. I had of course that on my coat within a week. Oh my god imagine you did the self-destruct by just you know being a bit clumsy with your dressing gown. Or as I've been calling it lately because it

6:20hasn't been spending so much time in it. My depressing girl. I can't get out of my depressing gown. It's Wednesday. Peter says the Wild West gunshot ricochet sound effects are everything. I love that when they do that. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. I can't really do the sound effects anymore. Ruined it by doing the hardest the other day. Peter says so all the radiation is magically gone now the weapon blew up. That's not how radiation works doctor. Yeah that is really not how radiation works. I wonder where it went. Did it get absorbed by something? Was the absorb a lot of living under the dirt? Like I want to know how the radiation all dissipated. Was it the wrong kind of radiation? It's fine radiation. It's just like oh yeah it's radiating but it's it's just sunlight. That's not fine. That's bad radiation. I got sunburned on my shoulder. Oh my god if you're watching on the video you can see. Oh no I just looked that bad on the video. Anyway it's just like a patch I missed

7:26with the sunscreen so it even looks like there's finger mark white finger marks going up to the red bit on my shoulder. It's very amusing because you can like I feel fine like I didn't really get burned over to the beach on was that last Saturday? I sent I sent Matt from that Smiths of a picture of me on the beach and he was scandalized. I sent it to my sister as well and she said put some pads on I went to the rude beach. I've never been to one before. It's really nice. Like you know you've agreed everyone to be in that state of dress and it's kind of like oh this is not as terrifying as I thought it was. I just gone for a swim and much less collecting in the bathers when you're not wearing bathers. You know sometimes you go to the beach and you come home and you're like oh my god there's so much sand in the one piece of clothing that I'm wearing like these small bathers.

8:27Why have they filled up with sand? But if you're not wearing bathers the sand doesn't really get in anywhere. It just washes away in the water. It's a tip for you. You ever feeling like doing that? I mean you know I'm at that age really aren't I? This isn't when the age when people start to just do like weird and wacky things like go to a nude beach. It's the first time I've ever been. I may never go again but it was fun. I enjoyed it. There were a lot of Brazilians there. I was singing dancing having fun. My friend William that I went with brought a tent. Very sweet. He has a like because like he said do you really like birds? I'm like no I just keep noticing that was like a cute little finch sitting on a fence. It was really adorable and then there was another bird we saw that I liked and then there were black cockatooes flying over the beach and William wears a cochlear implant. I mean he has a cochlear implant. They're kind of permanent in the skull but the bit that you know you goes in your ear over the back of your ear he doesn't

9:31take in the water obviously because it costs thousands of dollars. So he just popped it in his little bag while we were swimming and I was like oh it's a black cockatoo and he's like it's not a crow and I was like no because of the cry and he's like oh I was like yeah you can't hear that. Sorry if I got about your bionic ear wasn't working because of the water anyway black cockatooes they're fun. So we're up to the radiation dissipating. Oh because the sun my beach experience came out oh my god I'm just I'm just admitting to everything this week. What else do you want to know? I've got it all going on. Peter says I think Ash volunteered to die on the ship as he'd had enough and Gaol was doing his head in. Oh my god always blowing up your spaceship the space

10:35equivalent of driving your car into the canal. Oh my god. We've come full circle with the Gaol getting driven into the canal by the serial killer. And Peter says yay the Brigadier we missed you. Well that's that. Peter does have quite a recap going on so we'll get onto that in the next episode because there's probably a lot. Oh that's right because everyone survived because Ash went in the spaceship alone so that the colonist would be fine. Is that how it worked? I can't remember. Anyway he died left his poor orphan daughter alone with these other you know odd colonists on the planet below. It's a it's a scary old place.
