For one of the big cities Don Han and Rosenberg with you until 7. We've got the list coming up at 4.30. E and N at 6. Muhammad called before we went to break about Shomeniah's reaction to the fans cheering for Alonzo. And I wanted you to hear it for yourself.
He of course was the starting pitcher yesterday and obviously did not take a liking to the fans basically rooting against the Metz last time. Play with Pete for a couple years. I know how much he means to his organization, how much he means to the city. He's an exceptional player. I love him. As a player, as a teammate, he's one of the greats. Unfortunately, you know, he is not on the Metz anymore. Congrats to him through the drum runs. Super happy for him. But it's just crazy how things unfolded. I've got nothing to respect for him and I love him death. But as a team, as the 20-26 Metz, I know we have definitely underperformed the guys in here. Work their ass off every single day to have that kind of reaction to an opposing player. It could be anybody. It's crazy to me. Again, I've got nothing but respect for Pete. But yeah, I've just never seen anything like that before. Yeah, I know the guys in here, we are grinding our butts off and stuff like that happens. But I've never seen anything like that. So it's kind of crazy. You know, it's about perspective for me. You know what? Lay out, man. This is not wrong. But he's been here me out. This is not your, this is not, I'm sorry.
I'm a PR guy face bombing right now. That's what this is. I always say it. Where there's someone saying something stupid in the media. There's always a PR guy right nearby in your shot face bombing going, oh my god. Sometimes it's better to say nothing. But this was not smart. Here, here's, well, my take would be or is is that it's all about perspective. I'm coming to you from the fans perspective because I am a fan of the maps and how I would react if I were in the building. If I were a player, I might not have the same response, you know, because I'm like, Hey, Pete's not here, man. I'm a Matt and I'm in my own building. You know, players can't take it. When their fans are rooting for the other team, yeah, Devils hated it when the Rangers would come in and take over the building, right? Or when the Giants would play and half the building be filled with cowboy fans or the jet play and half the building be filled with patriot fans and bills fans.
They hate that because they work so hard and the one thing the benefit of playing in your own building is, at least we're going to have the fans on our side. So I can understand the awkwardness. If you're not a fan, if you're a player and you weren't a met uniform and you're at city field and hearing that kind of thing. Hearing that kind of reaction for the other team, I can understand it by other than you because you're coming from the player perspective, not the fan perspective. A couple of times I've been in situations where I've been in the scrum holding a tape recorder and a player says something as stupid as maybe the fans should just stay home if they're going to boo. Or maybe they should just stay home if they're going to cheer for you like all those things, right? That's those are dumb things to say you never ever do that. This isn't as bad but it's on par with bias thumbs down. No, it's in this right there. It's in the same problem. It's in the same thing.
Our own fans are cheering against us, right? Which is of course human nature. You're an athlete, you're a competitor and you're frustrated by it. And Maniah feels like I want to speak up for the guys. So he's going to be the one to say something in the media. And the problem is he should be smart enough to know this is not about you. You got to be smart enough to know that. And you're now sticking your nose into this business that is between the fans and the organization and has nothing to do with you. And for you to call out the fans for this and this behavior shows that you are tone deaf and not even aware of it. And if you wanted to speak up for the boys, you do it in the seasons over. You mentioned it then. You know this was a bad season. You have to take ownership for how bad the team is and how bad the season has been. You own that and you keep your mouth shut. But until the season's hold on. But that has to be that I hate to like I know these are grown men, but don't you think that has to be coached properly?
Like was that handled properly by PR again this before they're out there have the conversation? Of course not because but I know how this works. He's a guy that's a vet. He wants to speak up for the team. He is trying to be the protector. My guys are upset. I'm going to be the guy that says it. Right. The problem is one, you're not that guy. Like you're not that guy. Two, that's not the time. If you want to in retrospect of the season on Getaway Day when the media is there for the last time and all the exit music going on. And you have somebody asked you about the reflect on the season. That's when you say something like you know this was really bad. And you know we really hit rock bottom when a former player came in and hit a home run and our building cheered for them. That really hit a lot of our guys and we felt it we took that personal. But you know what that's once again motivation for you for next year. But you cannot be that unaware that this is not a fight that is about you guys.
This is not about Senga. This is not about Manaya. This is not about anyone on that team. This is only about the fan base and the leadership of the organization which is the owner and the president of baseball operations. That's what this is about. And you need to stay out of this. Simple as that. True. And that's why PR has to talk to them. And they didn't. And that was probably the same. I don't think they were. I'd honestly I don't think PR was aware of it. To defend Manaya. To say something. But to defend Manaya. These players aren't fans. They don't understand what it is to be a fan. Most of these guys are playing ball from their youth. Didn't have favorite teams if they did. They kind of casually watched because they're playing ball. So they can't relate to what a fans going through all they look at it. It goes why are they rooting for us? That's right. It's true. You know, so that's why the PR director's got to go up to them and say listen, you're going to get asked about the fans. These are our fans. These are guys that are going to come back next year.
These are the guys that are going to come back for the Philly series. You know, just don't be negative. Say you understand. Say you get it because he was such a great guy. You know, keep kind of keep the anger to yourself. Because I'm sure he's speaking for a lot of other guys in the room. Now, it indoors polished. He's a leader on the team. He said all the right things yesterday. But we're coming from a fan perspective. Players can't possibly relate to that because they never were a fan. And if they were a fan, not at the level that we're fans. Do you think any of these guys paid to go to games? Do you think any of these guys watched any more than maybe a handful of games in their life? No, they're ball players. They played ball. But Sean and I has been in the league a long time. For him to not understand how this works. But I'm telling you this is a unique situation. This was this was Menniah trying to say, I'm a leader here. I want to speak for the guys. I want to I want to stand up for my room. These guys are mad. They're upset about it. I'm going to speak up. And okay, you're going to speak up for a bunch of guys that were grumbling.
When instead, they probably should have been an internal conversation. We keep it moving. And you want to bring it up. You bring it up at the end of the season. All this sounds like a sour grapes and wine. No, no, no. The team stinks. It's your bad. You haven't been good yourself in two years. You're the last guy that should be speaking for the team. Lendor wants to say something okay. But he didn't. He said he was happy for Pete. So do wants to say something. He doesn't care. So you don't really have anyone that's a voice in that room. And then you decide, well, here's the thing. And then you decide you're going to be that guy. You're the guy. You got to knock it out of the park. But I'm in. No, no, no, no, no. But what I take from it to Peter is that room's red hot. That room doesn't get it. That room doesn't understand it. Because again, they're not fans. That's why the best thing always to do is a, yeah, the fans are passionate. Like that answers that checks everybody. That fans are passionate. They wear the same clothes. They're not. They're not. They're not. Those are the things they really ask. I'm just happy. I'm just happy that there's still there's still coming to games. But they probably felt like you wanted to support what the, but the tone was in the club.
Who in that room has a right? But they don't complain. And the young guys they've been here for five seconds. You're going to have your day, Ben, you're going to have your day? You're going to have your day. This isn't it. This should be your motivation. Of Ironman, when I was a rookie and that happened, like, you want to have a day. like you want to have a week we couldn't even understand how bad our franchise was they can't understand unless you've been here a long time you can't understand the dynamic if i was there a bigger gap in understanding like in terms of like a symbiotic relationship is there a less relatable dynamic than players and fans like there are both a special to each others lots interesting they do not understand we do not understand what players go through as they do not understand what you're going to do at all and it's a symbiotic relationship that's what i'm saying it really is you can't have one without the other they need each other literally and there is no relating to each others experience at all it's literally symbiotic they feed off of each other if the fans aren't there the players don't make money if the players aren't there the fans don't have
a big mess you take the money out of it you played at a you played baseball ever played in an empty park nobody's there yeah you you you can it's nothing it's nothing but then you play in front of a crowd and what is it it's a thing it's unreal so it's it's it's it's literally does change their entire team they're completely and yet there's no true understanding of what the other situation look deeper into i'm not i'm not going to say that when i did the right thing but what he's probably looking at is i'm in that room and i'm a veteran you're asking me a question i was a starting picture and the fans are rooting for the other team they're rooting for a lot of they did the place of rubs giving a standing ovation to guy that the home run tied the game their clothes our clothes are blue to save we eventually lose the game and what i'm thinking is he's in that room you know bench is a kid by the way he's only five hits away from tying pita Lonzo's record for hits for a rookie in franchise history you've got young you've got youwing even babies still a kid and it probably goes in that room going guys what team of my
on that they're rooting for the other team because they don't they don't get the a Lonzo thing they weren't here when pita Lonzo was here right a lot of them their kids you ain't got called up this year you know benches a kid and man eyes probably don't worry about it they can't say anything so it's probably just like hey don't worry i got your back when we do some breaking news here presented by boost mobile oh no i don't know if maraq of its is reporting on the broadcast Aaron judge left the game with right lower leg tightness okay that is a lot better than hearing rib or anything up-or-body right so it has to do with his leg why can't we speak why why well is he has some tightness he has probably had a little bit of a cramp something going on in the leg which is still a long way from the rib that doesn't sound terrible but that's uh it's good news that is that's good that's good fairly fairly but what is it about baseball breaking news presented by boost mobile don't overpay get a limited talk text and data for twenty five dollars a month forever for life for real switch now at boost mobile dot com yes so that is good news so mean obviously it's good news if it's just a
a casual thing no big deal because it's not related to the thing that kept him out ninety nine days you just don't want it to be another injury that they're having to deal with but in the immediate he's not in this game now which is now moving to the top of the ninth inning in the Yankees on the verge of getting shut out i doubt very seriously you know well they got a day off tomorrow gonna fly to Arizona we'll see if he's in the lineup on friday but this does not sound good it would listen it was a hell marry that they're going to catch the race to begin with this might end up being put in the kai bosh on that because if the Yankees lose today if the raise win their game against the a is well now it's five with tend to play so it's it's pretty much over and the Yankees will be hosting the red socks in the wildcard round of the playoffs all let's go back to the phones at one eight hundred nine one nine three seven seven six hello already in Brooklyn you're on the s already already the end i'm gonna defend turns oh no i'm not really good listen i wanted i wanted
a one so just like everybody else okay and maybe five years i say okay but so it's just um plan with the gettucker and the digest all the way right so we went to be shed my question is this if the laundry is signed and the ambulance says the same thing if the laundry is signed right appreciate that on the team right now you probably have sturns what would you rather do even with the ones that have an unity hat would you rather have a laundry for four years in the contract or would you rather have been shed with that kind nobody's given um sturns any credit for the respect contract everybody just assumed that he was going to opt out but he's not opting out we know that we're getting beset for whatever how many more years that we got and that everybody said that this team was going to win 90 days it didn't work out but sturns put a team that was plan to win 90 games so
that's all he could do all the injuries and everything else that didn't work out he's gonna take the hitful but don't go and say that he did such a horrible job he just needs to win next year that's just my point all right got your already now look look please don't if you don't mind yes don's upset yeah and and I said I know he's about to explode no first thing I got to say to already is is like to say that the all he's got to do is win next year that's the most obvious take of all of course it's all he's got to do but the problem is he has not proven the last two years that he can do that the other part is that beset contract was screaming a one-year deal he didn't want to be here now of course he's going to stay here why because he hasn't had a good year he's come on of late yeah because he has not had money time he was he was responsible for a lot of that because he wasn't he wasn't doing well so no he was so so to say like you're not giving him credit and Kyle Tucker that was yes that was a target of his had that work out for the
Dodgers could you imagine if Kyle Tucker took the money and came here and did that right she's saying you're saying so you know when he didn't pull the trigger he's still got it wrong he's still got it wrong well as you tell me this is 35 home runs in 100 RBI will you still rather have beset who's got 16 home runs and 74 RBI and has not been great for half a season you know what what what artis phone call reminded me of with the ambulance on the way to I love the way that he's already called something going on nice he's in the party it's already in Brooklyn artis in the middle right that's a call in the middle of it doesn't matter he's he had to call but he had to call is he didn't have time to go find a quiet place not the mood struck him that's where he's so quiet place is like when I used to do the pre-imposed with buttle and he still says it with Dan play callings overrated because every place designed to work so if I call a flea flicker and he gets you know a pick six one Peter I I designed a play
for at the work it's it's it's it's it didn't well everybody thought it was going to work it didn't work so it's okay right well everybody thought the bets are going to win 90 games so he didn't he's screw up it's just one of those things Peter just didn't work out everybody thought they're going to win 90 but they didn't that the end result is all that matters that's the whole thing you know hey there's there's people that think they can jump from one building to the other if they don't make it well he thought he was going to make it yeah I do it again that's classic I do it again don't blame him for trying no you still have to take responsible for the fact this team is going to finish a dozen games under 500 we are in the ninth with one out still having scored only have four hits well look on the bright side there's still time can't score like if of what is what well here it is right as soon as you say a base hit it's all coming together it's all coming together on one now Alan why are you emphasizing this particular game outcome so much though I mean it doesn't matter well because right now it was all every game matters but don't make it listen judge was judges judges in there for five innings and they were getting shut out
exactly let's not act as if everything was perfect until this moment yeah I should take the win which is that it's not rib related it's lower leg in this but am I am I I'm not a lot I shouldn't use the B word but there's a word that rhymes with rich okay and you could also use it to describe basically every injury you ever hear about from baseball it it then it fells back guys we have the contrast now you're watching on Sunday and you know it'll be like oh you know um jacory crosskey merits out of the game temporarily his leg is his half ripped off they're sewing it back on they're going to see whether he can come back and try to finish they're going to have to lose he's going to lose a couple fingers but they think he'll be able to carry the ball the fourth quarter wait I think they pull out his legs take his fingers it's both no it's both I know this is here here the only question on whether he's going to come back or not is if they have enough for thread right that doesn't mean we don't know and he wants to come back but will they let him and then in baseball they're going to use gorilla tape and that's not sponsored by the NFL it has to be flex tape the whole world stops when we go oh my god is it over what's the injury he's out
he's a feeling tightness tightness yeah tightness you know why tightness doesn't exist in the NFL because if you were to say I'm feeling tightness right they punch you in the stomach and shove you in a locker for saying you feel tightness it's just such a crick I get it I'm not saying it's not a real thing I guess that means that you think it's cramping no it's it's it's it's a couple of things you don't want to strain a muscle at this point of the season he is so you don't need a meal ticket yes he is so you can't take any chances with him because we know what it looks like if he's out for any length of time right it does not look good not good and and where do you think lower leg doesn't that mean at all likelihood it's calf this is giving calf that's just don't let's just don't have a stand and thing that's what I'm saying cap it out everything starts and baseball and I'm going to defend the baseball player I get what you're saying both can be true what you're saying what I'm saying can both be true in order for judge to be judged it's a mechanics thing it's how you swing if you're feeling pain and now your swing is altered you can injure other parts of your body so
I'm not going to get on now if he doesn't play again the rest of the season because of lower leg tightness I'd say what's going on and bucket up camper let's go but they can't take any chances this guy get on come on little camper you can do it campers I I can't kill them for that because it's the right thing to do it's just still itchy but but since you lie to us right because all these things are well what was the one thing is right core no it was it was it was no it was something like that core trunk trunk is right trunk is right trunk the body parts right they're making right body parts and baseball at least make it tougher like yeah just make it tougher than right he he he left because of lower leg pain yeah to excruciating for him to swing you say lower leg pain now I'm thinking it's a little more serious good when you said no it should be serious yeah make him all serious yeah a little bit no but it makes you oh my god just think how excited you'd be if you found out listen he's got lower leg pain we're not sure if he's going to be available for
Arizona what the play no we're not sure he's gonna survive wait on and then he plays in hours over like wow can I show you in the NFL how they deal with what would be a quarterback your best players doing with severe tightness this is how it's handled rubbett yeah back in the game buddy this is a sport where it would be a thousand degrees remember when the pictures hit and they get on base with a walk and they put the jacket on it's October it was 52 you don't want to you don't want to get a chill I thought about that we as we said Marco to school in shorts yesterday it was 56 degrees and baseball it'd be 87 or being a dome and they throw the jacket on him oh god that's what I mean yeah he won't be Rick Rodin American leave you know what I'm saying like the National League pitcher you know John Tutor just walked so just put the cardinal red jacket on him because God forbid if he exposes any skin on first base we all might die but what are you
gonna do this is your meal ticket man we've saw it looks putrid without him and the Yankees would get killed if they let him play through it and for the tightness but you know what we we pretended we were football and we wanted him to tough it out and now he lost this but that's why you came up with the solution just don't call it tightness severe pain he's in severe pain otherwise he'd be out there no more like it but it's an injury he's got to be out oh how bad is it we'll find out but at least he doesn't sound like I mean if Marco City at tightness big on you have tight no but I guess what now your back's gonna hurt you just pull landscaping dude come on you know I think I told you this story I my dad I do I take pride and listen thank God it's never backfire about me but when Marco goes down arriving in pain yeah and I saw him go I run through it get up my first thing I say to was get up yeah think I'll crawl that but that was my dad was just get up no and more times they're not they get so because I could tell how he looks like he saw he fall and and and his leg and one one one has body one the other different but when I see him like tumble and I've seen this kid fall like two stories and get up and laugh so when I see him like
ball down running between second and third I go get up you gotta have a rule done I firmly believe this by the way the Yankees just tied it the night what did I tell you I know you're always so concerned the guy that's concerned how they're gonna get shut out you know the guy that stinks full p it's two round it's the twins man it's not a boy it's not the the Harmon killer brew no no no no no no I'm not the harming killer bro no my master is uh what do you get curvy pocket yeah there's the curvy than just no not no uh uh uh oh gag knee know no no no no no no no no no oh no no you're direkt no no fantastic great gag game greatagnet gately Libos uh... can her back is that you can't hurt back is her back plan her but now he's out he's got lower leg soreness but let me tell you but you gotta let me tell you what though they are waving those uh... those terrible towel there was something tells the homer homer hankies homer hankies or the homer hankies that was at the uh... the the the the h right with the you know you know when they were in the dome
that big huge fan that was behind home play they turned along with the twins on the fan because that was a place if you walked in it was air compressed yeah that's how you kept the dome up so you had to go through evolving doors and your ears would pop when you'd walk in the state the only the only time I walked into the metronome the only time I was ever in the metronome this this story building the old baggy um... was for the n h l all star party in uh... in in Minnesota and oh four in oh four and you remember the band that played no or entertainment for the evening new power to the new cheap trick all right yes through the air now you bring back what it's right that was the only time the metronome have a sense of the only time she tricked that that's you know about no sorry but of course that you have seen the many times now i'm a little upset that done said can her back before me and i'm also upset that uh... vulp he just back flipped on a double which you don't see every day
i mean now now it was it was it was more of a bad for a lot of i think we've i think we've dumped on him and it was a impressive to me let him have it was all for frank viola it's really really impressive but uh... but again let the kid there is a we got a game you got a ball he said uh... i'm back now it's not easy and that was just for psychology you can understand how i'm at a different level right now now and i can now it is investing a lot into this game i really want to win the day he really wants to the champagne thing over a playoff thing really and we're torturing him because he's in the one seat where he can't see the right now i'm only he's watching the reflection of the game this is how bad it is it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's check engine a b s our maintenance light on take the guesswork out of your warning lights with o'riley vera scan the services free and provides a report with solutions verified by a c certified master technicians and if you need help we could recommend a shop for you ask for o'riley vera scan

do something and it was epic and the crowd is more importantly the crowd responded appropriately right that's the best way to describe yeah absolutely and the so meaning it wasn't just the came back a former player who was a former player who was loved came back and then did something in his return and had a reception from the crowd that was you know also notable all right well um look there's the jokam in one we got to talk jokam in the one jokamins on the list show so what number is jokamin oh after all the jokamin talk yeah you know jokamin that's to be there you're well versed in jokamin yeah jok jokamin is obviously on the list okay for sure you don't want to tell me enough no we just want you to guess him and then we'll we'll do it let's see how many you get okay let's play it this way why why I don't know because it's now two and it's more fun the jokamin is clearly I I believe number two oh number okay he forgot to be given up versus one I you know I and you're going with two okay that's
I don't sound right all right I'm here for you no because I I would yes it's number two all right there was a listen but I got jokamin I got I need a moment I'm not installing but though the reason we do we there was there was some confusion on the it's two okay all right all right all right oh I see um I'd like to ask a question yes um I'm not gonna ask for a lot of hints can I get the sport I'd like the sport breakdown sport breakdown we have got we have multiple baseball yeah well well now we're down to um let's get rid of five we're down down to uh hockey's out no we're in we already so so all right let's do we have we have hockey we've got two baseball and a basketball Tom Seever yeah that's yeah by the way is that Brock
Meyer doing that oh that's Lindsay Nelson I know it's the Nilson but cool but it's not like before there was a little there was a little Lindsay Nelson in Brock Meyer I know everybody said it was John there is a little John Sterling there was a little Lindsay Nelson but Tom Seever returning to Shay Stadium on August 21st 1977 as the Reds as a Red coming back to Shay Stadium 46,000 at Shay Stadium the Reds 151 Seever you know he had a decent day pitch complete game that's not bad 11 strikeouts six hits allowed and oh by the way also at the plate because back then of course the pitchers hit in the National League he said a double and two run scored you know it's a pretty easy day back at his old ballpark and also the significant Tom Seever he made that's what makes it so big is the biggest name on this list yes and then jockamins a Hall of Famers his numbers are tired by the ring to other Hall of Famers and that's why he's number two but Tom Seever is the best player on this list and he's clearly number one so good job you got jockam in it too you got
one in two you don't very well let's go we talked about those this week so all right let's forget a lot of more don't I know I'm okay all right but first of all you've come a long way don't let the show go play the way prevention in the past does not really been at the level of running now yeah that you were involved paying attention that this were the case show you would know no no no no no that means you're doing a more entertaining show now hold on I'm thinking though because now I got to use my brain who you taking out there's there's a football football an all-time football no no we don't we know it's an all-time comeback though um you said there's one football no we never said there's a football oh so there's a basketball I was a basketball and one more baseball and one more baseball okay all right the comprehension's backward was yeah sorry sorry but yeah I don't know why I made a lot more baseball might be tough the thing is the short-term comprehension is still shot yeah there's got a little bit more long-term the baseball might be tough it is not tough no if you just your brain for you it might be tough no really yeah uh you know where's where's my cut from Javier yesterday that's a good one
play play that Jacob baseball hmm I just I just I'm just marinating here I I boo you boo well that's one of them what you don't want to look what about what you mean use your brain uh use your damn brain we talked about three this week right we talked about a third one too yeah we did this one we talked about two today today and yesterday and the day before yeah why are we doing this oh I didn't know you had a last last so that's four because we don't know how it's gonna age um beats got a lot of baseball left as far as like greatness on the list so we got Peter I gotta tell you though based on the fact that jockamins is high as he is and that Pete is on this list
it makes me think that the other two may not be that iconic like I gotta I rack my brain if there's one that is the other one is is the basketball one is the is us is in the sport but not I think in general it was a while ago it was a while ago of great nick it's yeah but it's after this after seaver pala Bernard King that 48 for King we talked about this too we did and he's one of the great greats love game will go down in that history as a very special one he is receiving a standing ovation for the mind for Bernard King uh can I tell this story I watched the whole season I watched every game practically I was so in damn on the ball as you know what a moment of time he he blew out his ACL in 1984 which at that time they took out back in the shot you were done that it was over you were no longer gonna race the horse your days as a race horse were over but dr. Norman Scott said I've got an idea and he said let's do it it took him two
years to come back he comes back he plays the last six games of the 86 the 80 85 86 season uing's hurt so they don't ever play together but he proves I came back and played the NBA the nicks had a chance to keep him on the team and pair him with uing they brought in new leadership at the time it was al bianchi and he said guys not gonna be able to run anymore he can't physically do it and they didn't want to pay him to let him go so he signed with the Washington Bullets and in his first game back at Madison Square Garden for this is January 31 1991 he went for four 49 points and they wanted fifth and and for the record he was and oh the crowd was loving it yeah it was it was same thing literally cheering just for him that that's what that was exactly the frustrating end of a season for the nicks the the Bullets won by the he got our standing ovation and that alarm Albert the great marvel Albert by the way he he battled uh in the scoring title race all
year with Jordan he was I think he finished 29 points a game for the year he was he was unreal he was and it was it was yeah that's right that's not what's good that's number three so we have one more base so we have one more hockey left yeah so we so just to give it the rundown seaver one jackeman two king three peat four so that's number five but now I got to think about it for you're not gonna know I'm not you know the player yeah you know what happened yeah but you weren't here you even met the plate we've we've talked about it but not at the level that we talked about the other he is when you talk about icons these well three icons messier there you go so I would not get them on clean with the other way the other way new man's messier messier breaks to the net scores on the line James Randers got a bigger that was it mark messier and what a reaction here in the building up they're standing for him it is getting a little bit louder a lot of people standing what are realized jay salmon jd what's what a combo yeah and and and jd right away what a reaction from
the building uh in november 25th 1997 for two win for the conucks messier gets a goal and is returned to the garden a lot of emotion at night problem is that neither team made the playoffs now and messier didn't make the playoffs in the first years he was in vancoult yeah and then he came back and played four more years of the Rangers didn't make the playoffs there either no but iconic and guess what Peter breaking notes he cried I know it's stunning messier is a cryer yeah by the way I love the cryer I am a cryer so so he got all five so he did you know tremendous job that was very now there was there's another one that was mentioned that we have as an honorable mention and because we have so many Yankee fans and they're probably going to scream why not Tino Tino Marchida and now the hand for Tino Martinez the memories keep coming here Yankee Stadium yeah
oh I'm not there goosebumps tonight June 14th 2003 55,000 people at the stadium were Tino going back Cardinal St. Louis and uh Pettit stepped off the mound in fact to allow the crowd to you know agilate a little longer luxurious and um Tino into Pettit two home runs including one off of his good buddy Andy Pettit so number five Mark Messier's return with the connox to Madison Square Garden on November 25th 1997 number four of course Pylanzos return lot happened in two days the reaction in game one the 300th home run in game four uh but arcings 49 points against the nicks as a bullet on January 31st 1991 number two Eddie Jockeman in 1975 returning to Madison Square Garden as a red wing Eddie Eddie Eddie the chance and of course Tom Sievers returned to Shay as a red on August 21st 1977 I knew we could have had the audio for uh Jockeman I'm sure that's
somewhere on on YouTube because that was but that's more visual right because you see the tier streaming down his face it was it was a it was very emotional very emotional and that was the list brought to you by the allure group the allure group where care meets compassion Jacob you know what's really cool too and I give the Rangers a lot of credit for this that's that's a package that they they they air that as a great Ranger moment no I'm serious like whenever it's the anniversary they talk about it don't even fight when they because it listen you can like all the meth fans they're imbarale I can't believe I'm so embarrassed to be a meth fan they're rooting for the Orioles oh my god it rooting for Pylanzos at home the Rangers were rooting
Rangers has a rooting all game long for their team to be beaten by Eddie Jockeman a Hall of Famers number one retired in the rafters a few years later waived not traded waived yeah unceremonious and they reacted that way and it's considered a great ranger moment you know why because the fans reacted the way fans are supposed to react from first call to final invoice service titan is the only integrated intelligence that automates your entire workflow built for visionaries ready to stop operating and start automating their success service titan AI for the trades life insurance is one of those things that's easy to put off because it doesn't feel urgent today but it's not just another financial box to check it's about having a plan in place so if life throw something unexpected at your family they're not left dealing with the financial side without support ethos makes getting life insurance fast and easy it's 100% online so you can get a quote in seconds apply in minutes and get same day coverage there's no medical exam you just answer a few simple

on julio weekly during the course of the football season on wednesday so we're looking forward to that so her debut will be coming up in just mere minutes at the top of the hour at five o'clock bednarr technically blows the save but again with the ghost runner it's really unfair so both teams have scored in the 10th inning but the rate the twins have runners at first and second nobody out in the bottom half of the 10th and trying to win this game after blowing a two nothing lead with one out nobody on in the top half of the ninth inning so Yankee's trying to get something going there and trying to sweep the twins and we got word that lower leg tightness for judge is the reason why he's pinched hit four in the sixth inning let's go back to the busy phones and let's talk to rod in Bethlehem you're on ESPN New York etc. Hey what's going on Don I want to speak to you about the met but before I do that I would like to speak to my fellow Smithtown General Hospital born Alan Han a few weeks ago about a month ago
you spoke about when we should move on from the next championship it happens once that van it goes up in that special Madison Square Garden arena and that ceiling because there are generations it's there's only some few generational buildings left in this country Madison's great garden Lambo field regularly you can go in you know another baseball state of family but there are generations that went there with their fathers and their fathers went there with their fathers and the that van are going up is the last emotional thing somewhere in the first half we'll get back into it we'll be ready to go but that's when it's going to go when it goes in that iconic you're right building and that's healing but it's real when you're emotional yeah it's won't be surprised yeah I will I won't be surprised if people try to sneak earns into that building that night because it would so emotional for them and those who aren't there
done here right when it comes to the met um let me explain to you because I'm on your side I think these guys don't realize what could happen coming forward I want Steve Cohen to hire a general manager to put him in place unattached to anything David Stern did I wanted to be an overseer and I wanted to report to him that let's me know why Steve Cohen that David Stern did under watch and till I see that I think he's going to be there the one through his contract because then they'll pull that card out next year can't you see it done next year to start this season going into spring training this kid Jared young he looked pretty good we're going to keep him there we have one of the best records going into the last quarter of this season we have four starting pictures young McLean Forten and then trying to sell us that and we'll bring in somebody like a plural to all
Griffin canning that that David Stern's like so much and then they'll say okay Jefferson Rojas who's down in the might is will play second and then there's no more changes that you can make to this thing sort of essentially there's same team that you you're not going to be able to sell to McLean going into next season without any like a major major move and going into that we could see that and then their back track on it would be the higher general manager in that upcoming thing it's I wanted to be right now it could be anybody it could be called a spell train after they've tired his money there's number put it in place just to be an overseer not anything as a general manager does but David Stern will still head the baseball president of operations but you have somebody in there that puts it underneath that every fan knows oh Steve Cohen he's serious he's sitting there and he's got a lot of I definitely get what you're saying Rob I don't like I think
what he's looking for is somebody that can just be an overseer of David Stern so that there's some things he's going to do and you said no no I want to do it then but what do you keep it him for well because he still has to do all the other stuff remember he's he's the he's the the numbers nerd guy like he's all that stuff like you still need that guy but you I've I have felt this way it's why they brought in Sandy all of a sudden a couple of years ago right to get things back on track you just need a baseball guy like I need to like I don't know why in this sport they just don't care about that anymore I get that I get the numbers say this but my field tells me this but they don't do it that way you're asked but the guys you're asked them to do something they have no appetite to do first of all Steve Cohen does not want to fire starts he's doubled downed on stars don't fire so he's not going to fire but at least put somebody with him for some checks and balances but but they baseball guy you're not you're an owner but you don't do that if you think that everything's fine and then Cohen takes that he gets fine do you think David Sterns is a baseball guy
or is he a guy who knows baseball I think he's a guy that knows baseball exactly he's an analytics guy do you think you need somebody in the place that is a baseball guy that has I do but I don't like make you like baseball doesn't think so but what about enough you're an owner don't you say like you know I kind of need somebody's got to feel oh then why not if you at least with cash well with everything you know what bell charm could be the manager of this thing right everything we say about cash the one thing you can't deny is he's been a Yankee life first since the eighties you can't argue that he has he's been in the sport a long time yeah star how star burner is a Steinbritter like I don't need to wonder is there any baseball people around here they've literally are and Steinbritter still doesn't treat himself like a baseball person but you know he grew up he has cash for his baseball but even so he has that much respect for it that's like no but I don't do this fair enough this but the meds don't seem to have that fair but they think they have it um otherwise they wouldn't double down they wouldn't do it you're doing this but he doesn't think he needs to do it and if you want to check in balance are you know what then higher Carlos
Paul Tron is your manager and give him some power and then he could be the checks and balance if you know what I don't buy into this I'm not doing I'm not getting into this stuff all right we have Kimberly Martin coming up talk some football and you know the weight is over because football is here and draft Kings is on in this September draft Kings is giving all customers the opportunity to get boost every game day thank you sir that's right every game day all month long draft Kings customers can get a profit boost plus get extra protection with early exit so if you opt in you and how about this if your player leaves the game with an extra with a eligible injury in the first half your bet is protected new draft Kings customers you can sign up with code WHS Q you spend just five bucks to get 200 in rewards within 21 days that's code WHS Q in partnership with draft Kings the crown is yours gambling problem call 877 8 hoping wire text open y467 369 21 plus New York only eligibility restrictions apply $50 in non with trouble bonus bets issued issued every seven days via click to claim for 21 days bonus bets expire seven days after
